자동차형 로봇의 도시 실외에서의 효율적인 위치 추정 및 네비게이션 시스템의 구현 (An Efficient Urban Outdoor Localization and Navigation System for Car-like Mobile Robots)

  • An efficient urban outdoor localization and navigation system is proposed for car-like robots. First an accurate outdoor localization method is suggested using line/arc features and 2.5D map matching with LRFs (Laser Range Finders), which can reduce the number of singular cases and increase accuracy. Also, path generation, path tracking, and path modification algorithms are proposed for navigation. All these algorithms are implemented on an electric scooter to construct an autonomous urban outdoor localization and navigation system. Experiments reveal the practicality of the proposed system.

  • Increasing peak load is one of the major concerns about operation of urban railroad systems. Since ESSs (Energy Storage Systems) have a great potential for shaving the peak load, there has been a growing interest in the use of ESS for peak load reduction. Also, ESS can be optimally scheduled to minimize the electricity purchasing cost under a given ToU (Time-of-Use) tariff by taking advantage of electricity price difference between peak and off-peak time. This paper presents a Mixed Integer Programming (MIP)-based ESS scheduling method to minimize the electricity purchasing cost under a ToU tariff for an urban railroad system.

  • Fast urbanization and industrialization have resulted in rapid changes in the urban environment. For effective monitoring and management of these changes, a new surveying methodology that is more inexpensive and timely than the conventional remote sensing system is required. This paper proposes an unmanned airship videographic system capable of acquiring stable video. In addition, it presents approaches to constructing a prototype facilities management system based on VideoGIS, which links GIS functions and video data to provide actual spatio-temporal information.

  • The growth of the online market is accelerating due to the development of technology and the pandemic era. The delivery service through the courier must be used to deliver the ordered goods to the customer through the online market. With the growth of the online market, the logistics market for delivery is also growing. The traffic and environmental problems are emerging as social issues. Urban logistics technology using underground space based on the urban railway developed to improve logistics efficiency in a metropolitan area and a new alternative to environmental problems. This study proposed a plan to secure system safety through safety analysis based on operational concept definition and scenario analysis by applying model-based perspective analysis to the system under development.

도시재생을 위한 부산시의 재생지역 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Regional Regeneration Analysis for Urban Regeneration in Busan)

  • 도시재생은 쇠퇴한 도시지역을 물리 환경적, 경제적, 생활 문화적으로 개선하여 활력이 저하된 기능을 회복함과 동시에 경쟁력 있는 정주환경으로 재창조하는 과정이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 건축물DB를 구축하여 행정상 편의를 위해 분류한 최소구역인 행정동별로 노후도를 분석하여 객관적인 통계자료와 부산광역시의 도시정비현황과의 연계를 통한 도시재생을 위한 권역설정의 척도를 제시하고자 하였다. 또한 아직 법기준이 명시되지 않은 실정으로 현재의 도시및주거환경정비법과 도시재정비촉진을 위한특별법을 기준으로 다양한 정량적 분석을 통해 도시재생의 체계를 구축하고 기존의 법 제도의 문제점을 도출하여 향후 도시재생사업의 기초자료로 활용하는데 그 목적이 있다. 또한 건축물 노후도의 물리적인 낙후정도의 측정만이 아닌 동단위로 구축할 수 있는 인구, 사회, 복지, 사업체 등의 각 분야의 변수들간의 특징과 유형화과정을 요인분석을 통해 재생이 필요한 지역을 파악하였다.

SD 기법을 활용한 주거단지의 시지각적 평가 (SD Methodological Evaluation of the Visual Cognition to the Urban Landscape)

  • The color and structure of urban constructions is a factor of urban landscape and shows their characteristics. Hence the modern buildings with their materials and external appearance makes up the urban image. But still yet, it was not easy to evaluate the value of visual landscape of buildings with objective measuring method. Most of all, it depends on the subjective estimation of a few talented or high educated experts with a sense of beauty. In relation to this kind of problems, it was tried here in this study to analyse the human response of brain wave pattern (EEG) with use of SD method, while the tested persons watched the urban landscape constructed in a visual reality. The tested persons were 10 adult males and females with no color blindness and intact cognitive function. Light source with color filter was used for color environment in chamber room. The signal of EEG is analysed digitally and grouped into the $\alpha$ and $\beta$ waves. The result showed that relative power of $\alpha$ wave ratio increased in natural landscape scenary clearly. From these results it was possible to evaluate the human response, which was affected by urban color and structure stimulation and it might be useful as an indicator of visual cognition amenity toward the design of urban construction environment.

지역주민들의 행복수준에 영향을 미치는 도시환경특성에 대한 실증분석: 서울시를 대상으로 (The Influence of Urban Environment on the Happiness Level of the Residents: Focused on 25 Boroughs(gu) in Seoul)

  • 본 연구는 서울시를 대상으로 개인의 행복수준에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 도시환경 특성요소를 추출하고 실제 주민들의 행복수준에 영향을 미치는 요인을 실증적으로 분석함으로써 보다 행복한 도시환경을 조성하기 위한 도시정책과 도시계획 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 개인의 행복수준에 영향을 미치는 도시환경 요소를 구성하기 위해 도시환경 특성(물리적 환경, 자연적 환경, 사회적 환경) 변수와 개인 특성(개인의 사회 경제적 특성) 변수를 구성하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 도시의 물리적 환경이 개인의 행복수준에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 인구밀도가 낮고 보행환경만족도가 높을수록 개인의 행복수준이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 도시의 자연적 환경이 개인의 행복수준에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 1인당 공원면적이 넓고 녹지만족도가 높을수록 개인의 행복수준이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 도시의 사회적 환경이 개인의 행복수준에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 사회적 신뢰가 행복수준에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

도시의 건폐율 및 용적률이 도시기후에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis on the Effects of Building Coverage Ratio and Floor Space Index on Urban Climate)

  • In this study, Urban Climate Simulation was performed by 3-Dimensional Urban Canopy Model. The characteristics of urban climate were analyzed combining artificial land coverage, building size, heat production from the air conditioning and topographic conditions as physical variables which affects urban climate characteristics. The results are as follows. (1) The aspects of the urban climatal change is derived to be related to the combination of the building coverage ratio, building height and shading area. According to the building height, the highest temperature was increased by $2.1^{\circ}C$ from 2-story to 5-story building and the absolute humidity by 2.1g/kg maximum and the wind velocity by 1.0m/s was decreased from 2-story to 20-story building. (2) Whole heat generation was influenced by the convective sensible heat at the lower building height and by the artificial heat generation at the higher one over 20-story building influence to some extent of the building coverage ratio. The effect of the altitude is not more considerable than the other variables as below $1^{\circ}C$ of the air temperature. In the last, deriving the combination of building coverage and building height is needed to obtain effectiveness of the urban built environment planning at the point of the urban climate. These simulation results need to be constructed as DB which shows urban quantitative thermal characters by the urban physical structure. These can be quantitative base for suggesting combinations of the building and urban planning features at the point of the desirable urban thermal environment as well as analyzing urban climate phenomenon.

원격탐사 지수 영상으로부터 도시 지역 탐지를 위한 임계점 평가에 관한 연구: 대구광역시를 사례로 (A Study on the Evaluation of the Different Thresholds for Detecting Urban Areas Using Remote-Sensing Index Images: A Case Study for Daegu, South Korea)

  • 지구관측 위성영상을 활용한 도시지역 매핑 작업은 도시지역의 팽창 및 도시발전의 관측을 위해 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 대구광역시를 촬영한 Landsat-8 위성영상의 분광밴드를 이용하여 제작한 두 원격탐사 지수 영상(정규 건축물 지수(NDBI) 영상 및 도시 지수 (UI) 영상) 으로부터 도시지역을 탐지하기 위한 임계점 평가에 관한 연구를 다음과 같이 진행하였다. 우선, Landsat-8 영상의 분광밴드를 이용하여 NDBI 영상과 UI 영상을 각각 제작한다. 그리고 다양한 임계점(-0.4, -0.2 및 0)을 NDBI 및 UI 영상에 적용하여 도시지역을 탐지하고, 탐지된 도시지역의 정확도를 산출한다. 본 연구를 통해 진행한 실험결과를 분석한 결과, NDBI 영상에서는 임계점으로 -0.2를 적용시켰을 때 탐지된 도시지역의 정확도(88%)가 가장 높았고, UI 영상에서는 임계점으로 -0.4를 적용시켰을 때 탐지된 도시지역의 정확도(88%)가 가장 높았다. 또한, 일부 지역에서는 나지가 도시지역으로 오분류 되었으며, 고층 아파트 지역이 비도시 지역으로 오분류 되었다. 추후 연구에서는 위성영상에서 오분류를 줄이고 다양한 도시지역 객체를 추출할 수 있는 개선된 방법을 제안하도록 한다. 또한 다중시기 위성영상에서 탐지된 도시지역을 이용하여 도시 팽창 패턴을 분석하는 추후 연구도 수행할 계획이다.

Nondestructive detection of crack density in ultra-high performance concrete using multiple ultrasound measurements: Evidence of microstructural change

  • This study nondestructively examined the evolution of crack density in ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) upon cyclic loading. Uniaxial compression was repeatedly applied to the cylindrical specimens at levels corresponding to 32% and 53% of the maximum load-bearing capacity, each at a steady strain rate. At each stage, both P-wave and S-wave velocities were measured in the absence of the applied load. In particular, the continuous monitoring of P-wave velocity from the first loading prior to the second loading allowed real-time observation of the strengthening effect during loading and the recovery effect afterwards. Increasing the number of cycles resulted in the reduction of both elastic wave velocities and Young's modulus, along with a slight rise in Poisson's ratio in both tested cases. The computed crack density showed a monotonically increasing trend with repeated loading, more significant at 53% than at 32% loading. Furthermore, the spatial distribution of the crack density along the height was achieved, validating the directional dependency of microcracking development. This study demonstrated the capability of the crack density to capture the evolution of microcracks in UHPC under cyclic loading condition, as an early-stage damage indicator.
