Background and objective: Agro-healing is crucial with urban farming in the domestic. It is beyond the conventional agriculture. This study was carried out to assess the 2010s researches on domestic agro-healing and predict the future direction of agro-healing development. Methods: Among the articles published from 2010 to 2018, we collected some articles by searching keywords including agro-healing, garden activity, gardening, horticultural activity, horticultural program, horticultural therapy, plant effect, plant environment, plant growing program, plant impact, social gardening, urban agriculture and vegetable garden activity, selected 83 articles that were evaluated in advance, and analyzed by frequency analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA with SPSS 20.0. Results: Agro-healing journal articles were published the most in 2010, and have declined since then. In the classification according to the academic society, most of the journal articles were published by the Society for People, Plants, and Environment. The main targets of domestic agro-healing related to activities and programs were preschoolers, children and adolescents, accounting for 52.4% of the total. By the characteristics of the subjects, agro-healing programs and studies were conducted with special participants who needed special care compared to the general participants. The dependent variables were classified into six areas according to their attributes and the share of psychological and emotional areas was highest (42.6%) among them. In terms of the composition of the program, the share of those with 9-12 sessions was highest (36.7%) and the share of those with more than 20 participants was also highest (39.8%). Conclusion: It is recommended to operate agro-healing programs or industries focusing on the socially disadvantaged including those who have special needs or the underprivileged, but in order to create income for farms and expand the demand for agro-healing, it will be necessary to spread the perception that anyone without any physical or emotional issue can be the targets of and experience agro-healing. To meet the different needs of targets of agro-healing, it will be necessary to conduct objective and practical studies on broader areas and in the process the healing functions of agriculture and the strength of agro-healing needs to be further highlighted.

Biotope, which represents the characteristic habitats of living organisms, need to be identified as essential for the efficient creation and sustainable management of urban ecosystems. This study was carried out to provide the basic information for ecological urban planning by analyzing types and attributes of the biotop established throughout the whole area of the Pohang city, a representative industrial city in Korea. The biotop established in Pohang city is composed of 12 types including forests (coniferous, deciduous, and mixed forests), agricultural fields (rice paddy and upland field), green facilities, river, reservoir, bare ground, residential area, public facilities, commercial area, industrial area, roads, and schools. As a result of analyzing the properties according to biotop types, industrial, commercial and residential areas, which represent urban areas, was dominated by introduced vegetation. Moreover the introduced vegetation is usually composed of exotic plants or modified forms for landscape architecture and horticulture rather than native plants, which reflects ecological property of both region and site. As the distance from the urban center increases, the agricultural field showed a form of typical farmland, whereas the closer it is, the more form of greenhouse farming. Natural green spaces were divided into riparian vegetation established along the stream and forest vegetation. Forest vegetation is consisted of secondary forests (seven communities) and plantations (three communities). The urban landscape of Pohang city is dominated by the industrial area. Among them, the steel industry, which occurs large amounts of heat pollution and carbon dioxide, occupies a large proportion. On the other hand, green space is very insufficient in quantity and inferior in quality. This study proposed several restoration plans and further, a green network, which ties the existing green spaces and the green space to be restored as a strategy to improve the environmental quality in this area.

Landsat OLI satellite imagery can be applied to various remote sensing applications, such as generation of land cover map, urban area analysis, extraction of vegetation index and change detection, because it includes various multispectral bands. In addition, land cover map is an important information to monitor and analyze land cover using GIS. In this paper, land cover map is generated by using Landsat OLI and existing land cover map. First, training dataset is obtained using correlation between existing land cover map and unsupervised classification result by K-means, automatically. And then, spectral signatures corresponding to each class are determined based on training data. Finally, abundance map and land cover map are generated by using iterative spectral mixture model. The experiment is accomplished by Landsat OLI of Cheongju area. It shows that result by our method can produce land cover map without manual training dataset, compared to existing land cover map and result by supervised classification result by SVM, quantitatively and visually.
Despite the continuing effort to estimate the value of function and services of ecosystem, most of the researches has used low and medium resolution satellite imagery such as MODIS or Landsat. It means that the researches to measure the ecosystem service value using VHR (Very High Resolution) satellite imagery have not been performed much, while the source of available VHR imagery is increasing. Thus, the aim of this study is to estimate and compare the result of ecosystem service value over Sejong city, S. Korea, which is one of the rapidly changed city, through the pixel-based and object-based classification analysis using VHR KOMPSAT-3 images, for more specific and precise information. In the result of the classification, forest and grassland were underestimated while agriculture and urban were overestimated in the pixel-based result compared to the object-based result. Furthermore, bare soil area was presented contrasting result that was increased in the pixel-based result, however, decreased in the object-based result. Using those results, ecosystem service values were estimated. The annual ecosystem service values in 2014 were $8.18 million USD(pixel-based) and $8.63 million USD(object-based), however, decreased to $7.80 million USD(pixel-based) and $8.62 million USD(object-based) in 2016. It is expected to use those results as a preliminary data when to make sustainable development plan and policy to improve the quality of life in the local level.

In meteorology Korea has 2/3 of rain of annual total rainfall at the month of Jun through Sept and it has possibility to have serious flood damage because geographically it is composed of mountainous area with steep slope which account for 70% of its country. Also, the increase of impervious layer due to industrialization and urbanization causes direct runoff, which deteriorates contamination of rivers by moving the contaminated material on the surface at the beginning of rain. In particular, the area of leisure facilities needs the management of water quality absolutely because dense population requires space of park function and place to relax and increases moving capability of non-point pollution source. For disposition of rainfall & runoff, the standard of initial rainfall, which is to be used for the computation of disposition volume, is significant factors for the runoff study of non-point pollution source, Until now, a great deal of study has been done by many researchers. However, it is the current reality that the characteristics of runoff varies according to land protection comprising river basin and the standard of initial rainfall by each researcher is not clearly defined yet. Therefore, in this research, it is suggested that, with the introduction of SOM (Self-Organizing Map), the standard of initial rainfall be determined after analyzing each sectional data by executing pattern classification about runoff and water quality data measured at the test river basin for this research.
Used as foundation resources for environment improvement and preservation of single-housing residential area by practicing classification of biotope with the concept of ecological area rate applied and performing urban thermal environment prediction simulation. Biotope is classified as seven types according to classification of biotope which is carried out with the concept of ecological area rate applied. The classification is listed below in descending order: building biotope(48.16%), impervious pavement biotope(39.75%), greenspace biotope(6.23%), crack permeable pavement biotope(3.26%), whole surface permeable pavement biotope(2.51%), parts permeable pavement biotope(0.04%). As a result of analysing prediction of variation and characteristics of thermal environment of single-housing residential area, land surface temperature per types of biotope are evaluated as listed below in descending temperature order: impervious pavement biotope > building biotope > greenspace biotope > permeable pavement biotope. In case 2 where vegetated roof hypothetically covers 100% of the roof area, temperature is predicted to be $33.58^{\circ}C$ Max, $23.85^{\circ}C$ Min, and $27.74^{\circ}C$ Avg. which is Approximately $5.19^{\circ}C$ lower than a non-vegetated roof. Average outdoor temperature for case 2 is studied to be $0.18^{\circ}C$ lower than case 1.
Korea has recently suffered from severe hazes, largely being long-range transported from China but frequently mixed with domestic pollution. It is important to identify the origin of the frequently-occurring hazes, which is however hard to clearly determine in a quantitative term. In this regard, we suggest a possible classification procedure of various hazes into long-range transported haze (LH), Yellow Sand (YS), and urban haze (UH), based on mass loading of fine particles, time lag of PM mass concentrations between two sites aligned with dominant wind direction, backward trajectory of air mass, and the mass ratio of PM2.5 to PM10. The analysis sites are Seoul (SL) and Baengnyeongdo (BN), which are distant about 200 km from each other in the west to east direction. Aerosol concentrations at BN are overall lower than those of SL, indicative of BN being a background site for SL. We found distinct time lag of PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations between BN and SL in case of both LH and YS, but the intensity of YS being stronger than LH. Time scale (e-folding time scale) of LH appears to be longer and more variable than YS, which implies that LH covers much larger spatial scale. In addition, we found linear and significant correlations between ${\tau}_a$ obtained from sunphotometer and ${\tau}_{cal}$ calculated from surface aerosol scattering coefficient for LH episodes, relative to few correlation between those for YS, which might be associated with transported height of YS being much higher than LH. Therefore surface PM concentrations for the YS period are thought to be not representative for vertical integrated amount of aerosol loadings, probably by virtue of decoupled structure of aerosol vertical distribution. Improvement of various hazes classification based on the current result would provide the public as well as researchers with more accurate information of LH, UH, and YS, in terms of temporal scale, size, vertical distribution of aerosols, etc.
Most landscape areas in apartment complex have been changing. Increasing the area of underground parking lots have an effect on apartment's circumstance. Natural ground was decreased so that the most space in apartment complex were converted into an artificial ground. To suggest the soil quality management, this study examined the actual situation about the soil quality of planting ground such as the quality standard as artificial soil, the difference of natural ground, and the difference of soil quality according to the work classification. As a result, the soil quality of the apartment complex with a large underground parking lot had low quality of soil. Soil physical properties were relatively fine but soil chemical properties needed the quality control. The soil quality of natural ground and artificial ground was not statistically significant and the soil quality by the work classification also had no statistical significance. Therefore, we established improvements about standards of the chemical properties for quality management, the soil quality in the natural ground and applying the equivalent standard according to the work classification.
This paper analyzed relationships between various features from SAR data with multiple acquisition dates and mode (frequency, polarization and incidence angles), and land-cover classes. Two typical types of features were extracted by considering acquisition conditions of currently available SAR data. First, coherence, temporal variability and principal component transform-based features were extracted from multi-temporal and single mode SAR data. C-band ERS-1/2, ENVISAT ASAR and Radarsat-1, and L-band JERS-1 SAR data were used for those features and different characteristics of different SAR sensor data were discussed in terms of land-cover discrimination capability. Overall, tandem coherence showed the best discrimination capability among various features. Long-term coherence from C-band SAR data provided a useful information on the discrimination of urban areas from other classes. Paddy fields showed the highest temporal variability values in all SAR sensor data. Features from principal component transform contained particular information relevant to specific land-cover class. As features for multiple mode SAR data acquired at similar dates, polarization ratio and multi-channel variability were also considered. VH/VV polarization ratio was a useful feature for the discrimination of forest and dry fields in which the distributions of coherence and temporal variability were significantly overlapped. It would be expected that the case study results could be useful information on improvement of classification accuracy in land-cover classification with SAR data, provided that the main findings of this paper would be confirmed by extensive case studies based on multi-temporal SAR data with various modes and ground-based SAR experiments.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the planning styles and the differences of the level of planning styles according to individuals, family related variables and perceived adequacy of resources. The subjects of the study were 560 wives living in seoul and Daejeon. Survey methods were questionnaire. Data analysis strategies were percentile, frequency, Pearson's correlation, factor analysis, oneway analysis and multiple classification analysis. The major findings were as follows : 1) Planning styles were categorized into three factors. They were labeled resource-centered, goal-centered, constrained planning style. 2) wives tended to more frequently use a goal-centered planning style. 3) The perceived adequacy of health resource, the perceived adequacy of inter-personnal resource and occupation of husband were significant predictors of the level of resource-centered planning style. 4) The perceived adequacy of money resource was significant predictors of the level of constrained planning style. 5) The perceived adequacy of money resource and the age of youngest child were significant predictors of the level of goal-centered planning style.
