산사태 붕괴사면에 있어서 표면침식에 영향을 미치는 강우강도와 그에 따른 유출토사량의 변화 (Rainfall Intensity Regulating Surface Erosion and Its Contribution to Sediment Yield on the Hillslope Devastated by a Shallow Landslide)

  • To examine surface erosion and sediment export patterns on a hillslope, which was devastated by a shallow landslide and which was slowly revegetating by natural plant species, we surveyed variations in surface erosion depth on the upper-, middle- and lower-section of the hillslope, and subsequent sediment yield from the whole hillslope. The result showed that, with the passing of year, surface erosion on the devastated hillslope was regulated by higher rainfall intensity due to the supply-limitation of exportable sediment, and its variation range decreased. In addition, surface erosion on the upper-section with steep slope was regulated by higher rainfall intensity, which might result in raindrop erosion, compared to it on the lower-section with relatively gentle slope. Besides, the sediment yield from the devastated hillslope had nonlinear relationship with surface erosion depth on the hillslope because sediments on the hillslope are exported downwards while repeating their cycle of transport and redistribution. Our findings suggest the establishment of management strategy to prevent sediment-related disasters occurred during torrential rainfall events, which was based on the continuous field investigation on the hillslope devastated by landslides.

스키 카빙턴 동작 시 기술 수준에 따른 동작의 차이 연구 (The Differences in the Ski Carving Turn Motion According to Level of Exper tise)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate the differences in the ski carving turn motion according to level of expertise. The posture and movement of 6 skiers nearby the fall-line was evaluated with a biomechanical approach focusing the rotational mechanics. The slope was at an angle of $9^{\circ}$ and the following variables were measured and calculated: tangential velocity, change of COM height after passing fall-line, width between feet, angle between upper body and thigh, trunk angle, average radius of curvature and average centripetal force. The expert skiers minimized their center of mass height movement and maintained the width of between their feet after the passing the fall-line in comparison with the beginners and intermediate skiers. The experts restrained themselves from pushing their upper body downward after the turn to maximize the centripetal force. The experts in comparison with the beginners and intermediate skiers during the turn didn't have to reduce their radius of curvature to maintain a high centripetal force. It was concluded, that the most important factor affecting the centripetal force, was for the beginners and intermediate skiers, to minimize their movement while using the appropriate amount of edging.

남해군 어촌지역 무인도 생태현황 기초연구 (The Basic Study of Ecology Status of the Uninhabited Islands of Fishing Village in Namhae-Gun)

  • This study has found out the status of the environment ecology(topography structure. land-use, flora, plant community structure, wildbird) in 10 uninhabited islands(i.e. Kei island, Hadon island, Sangdon island, Daewa island, Hwanggang island, Naebi island, Oebi island, Prickly castor-oil tree island, Tongin island, Yuk island), Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Moreover, It has suggested ways of improving the environment ecology status by classifying the type of environment ecology about the degree of use and damage that based on the results of environment ecology survey. According to the results of topography structure survey, the survey site altitude was ranged within 1m$\sim$25m, otherwise, the radient was classified the rock area(.i.e. slope of less than $5^{\circ}$ the dead level) and the slope area where is steep slope. Moreover, there was showed evenly a variety of aspect. Land-use were divided the field(Kei island), dry native grasslands(Hadon island), naturalized grasslands(Sangdon island), Pinus thunbergii community(Dacwa island, Hwanggang island, Naebi island, Yuk island), the rock area(Oebi island, Prickly castor-oil tree island, Tongin island). As the results of flora survey, the number of plant species were 30$\sim$115 species and the naturalized species were found 2$\sim$12 species in each site. The results of plant community structure analysis, The dominant species were Pinus thunbergii and Pinus densiflora were in upper tree layer, furthermore, it were Pinus thunbergii, Eurya japonica, Prunus sargentii, Celtis sinensis, Morus bombycis, ect. in cannopy tree layer. In shrub layer, the dominant species were Rosa multiflora, Rubus crataegifolius, Parthenocissus tricuspidata, etc. The status of wildbird bird, had been found 42 species 938 individuals, especially, there were Bubo bubo kiautschensis(natural monument No. 324) and Haematopus ostralegus osculans(natural monument No. 326). According to these synthetic results, we are able to classify the 5 types of environment ecology such as the natural coast forest that composed of Pinus thunbergii and Pinus densiflora(Daewa island, Hwanggang island, Naebi island, Oebi island, Tongin island, Yuk island), the field in vegetation area(Kei island), vegetation succession area of fallow field type(Hadon island), vegetation damage area by the forest fire and disturbance elements(Prickly castor-oil tree island), dominant naturalized species grassland by grazing cattle(Sangdon island).

경상북도 경주시 양북면 땅밀림지의 지질 및 토양물리성의 변화 (The Geology and Variations of Soil Properties on the Slow-moving Landslide in Yangbuk-myun, Gyungju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do)

  • 이 연구는 경상북도 경주시 양북면 일원의 산지 땅밀림의 지질특성 및 땅밀림 후 변화되는 토양의 물리적 특성을 구명하고자 수행하였다. 조사지역의 지질은 생성시대가 백악기의 경상누층군으로 주된 구성 암석은 흑색셰일이며, 동쪽으로는 석영 장석질 반암이 분포하고, 그보다 아래쪽은 제4기 연일층군 역암이 분포한다. 암석은 매우 풍화된 풍화암의 형태를 나타내고 있어 땅밀림 지질로 나타났다. 땅밀림으로 무너진 최대 깊이는 12.0 m까지 붕적층으로 구성되어 있다. 땅밀림 방향은 비탈면 하부는 $N46^{\circ}E$, 땅밀림지 상단부는 $N62^{\circ}E$로 절리 및 주향 방향으로 발생하였다. 땅밀림으로 교란된 토양에서는 토양깊이 20 cm 까지는 토양경도가 기록되지 않는 완전교란상태이었고, 토양깊이 25 cm~90 cm까지는 자연산림지 및 교란이 발생되지 않은 지역에 비해 토양경도는 1.4~-4.7배 낮게 나타났다. 또한 땅밀림지역의 토양용적밀도는 $1.24{\sim}1.29g/cm^2$로 자연산림지보다 각각 약 1.6배 높게 나타났다. 토양의 공극률은 51.5~53.3%로 자연산림지보다 각각 약 1.3~1.4배 낮았다. 흑색 셰일지역의 토양투수계수는 8.75E-06 cm/s, 토양의 조공극률은 9.8%로 가장 낮게 나타났다.

산지지형 및 강우 침투양상 변화에 따른 산지사면 안정성 평가 (Slope Stability Assessment Induced by Variation in Mountain Topography and Rainfall Infiltration)

  • 우리나라는 국토의 64% 가량이 산지로 되어 있어 하절기 집중호우 및 태풍으로 인해 지속적인 산지재해(사면붕괴, 산사태, 토석류 등)가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 산지를 중심으로 사회기반시설의 개발 및 확충을 통해 산지 개발이 이루어지고 있으나 체계적인 관리는 미흡한 실정이다. 산지사면을 대상으로 임도시설의 개설은 대상 산지를 인위적으로 변화시킴에 따라 하절기에 집중적으로 산지재해 발생의 원인으로도 작용한다. 이처럼 불안정한 상태의 산지환경에서 재해에 강한 환경을 건설하기 위한 노력이 절실히 요구되는 시점이다. 본 연구는 자연산지와 산지 내 임도 개설 여부를 기준으로 극한강우 조건하에서 강우의 침투특성을 고려하여 토층심도(1~5 m) 및 산지경사($20{\sim}60^{\circ}$) 조건에 따른 산지사면의 안정성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 산지사면의 안정성은 토층심도와 토층의 포화면적에 따라 안전율의 차이를 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 산지 내 임도 개설에 따른 산지의 안정성이 자연산지보다 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 특히, 강우 침투양상의 경우에는 임도 상부측 사면부에서 강우 침투수의 유출이 발생하는데 이는 토층심도가 낮을수록 유출 현상이 뚜렷이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다.

한국 서남해 섬마을의 경관체계해석 -진도군 조도군도, 신안군 비 금, 도초, 우이도 및 흑산군도를 중심으로- (A Landscape Interpretation of Island Villages in Korean Southwest Sea)

  • The landscape systems in Korean island settlements can be recognized as results of ingabitants' ecological adptation to the isolated environment with the limited natural resources. Both the fishery dominant industry in island society and ecological nature of its environments seem to have influenced on inhabitants' environmental cognition as well as the physical landscape of island villages such as its location, spatial pattern in each village, housing form and so on. This study was done mainly by both refering to the related documents and direct observations in case study areas, and results of the study can be summarized as follows. 1. In general, the landscape of an individual island seems to take more innate characteristics of island's own, corresponding to the degree of isolation from mainland. That is, while the landscape of island in neighboring waters takes both inland-like and island-innate landscape character at the same time, the one in the open sea far from land takes more innate landscape character of all island's own in the aspects of village location, land use and housing density etc. 2. The convex landform of most islands brings about more centrifugal village allocation than centripetal allocation in most inland villages. And thus most villages in each island face extremely diverse directions different from the south facing preference in most inland rural villages. 3. Most island villages tend to be located along the ecologically transitional strip between land and sea, so called 'line of life', rather than between hilly slope and flat land as being in most inland village locations. So they are located with marine ecology bounded fishing ground ahead and land ecology bounded agricultural site at the back of them. 4. The settlement pattern of the island fishing villages shows more compact spatial structure than that of inland agricultural villages, due to the absolute limits of usable land resources and the adaptation to the marine environment with severe sea winds and waves or for the easy accessability to the fishing grounds. And also the managerial patterns of public owned sea weed catching ground, which take each family as the unit of usership rather than an individual, seem to make the villagescape more compact and the size of Individual residence smaller than that of inland agricultural village. 5. The folk shrine('Dand') systems, in persrective of villagescape, represent innate environmental cognition of island inhabitants above all other cultural landscape elements in the island. Usually the kinds and the meanings of island's communal shrine and its allocative patternsin island villagescape are composed of set with binary opposition, for example 'Upper shrine(representing 'earth', 'mountain' or 'fire')' and 'Lower Shrine(representing 'sea', 'dragon' or 'water') are those. They are usually located at contrary positions in villagescape each other. That is, they are located at 'the virtical center or visual terminus(Upper shrine at hillside behind the village)' and 'the border or entrance(Lower Shrine at seashore in front of the village)'. Each of these shirines' divinity coincides with each subsystem of island's natural eco-system(earth sphere vs marine sphere) and they also contribute to ecological conservation, bonded with the 'Sacred Forest(usually with another function of windbreak)' or 'Sacred Natural Fountain' nearby them, which are representatives of island's natural resources.

덕유산 일대 천연림의 산림형 분류와 천이경향 (Forest Type Classification and Successional Trends in the Natural Forest of Mt. Deogyu)

  • 덕유산 백암봉 일대의 천연림을 대상으로 산림형을 구분하고, 각 산림형별 생태적 특성을 파악하여 천이경향을 제시하였다. 사분각법을 이용하여 225개의 표본점에서 식생자료를 수집하였으며, 다양한 다변량 통계분석(Cluster분석, 지표종분석, 다중판별분석 등)을 실시하여 산림형을 구분하였다. 그 결과, 연구대상지는 5개의 산림형으로 분류되었고, 상층의 우점비율 및 입지환경에 따라 능선부에서는 신갈나무림, 계곡부에서는 들메나무-물푸레나무-층층나무림과 들메나무림, 사면하부에서는 졸참나무-소나무-신갈나무림, 소나무림 등이 분포하여 입지조건에 따라 수종구성 차이가 뚜렷한 것으로 나타났다. 산림유형별 생태적, 환경적 특성을 근거로 천이경향을 추정한 결과, 현재의 산림형은 신갈나무림, 들메나무림, 중생혼합림, 참나무-서어나무림 등으로 천이가 진행될 것으로 예상되었다.

Ecological Characteristics of Natural Habits of Deutzia paniculata, a Rare and Endemic Woody Species in Korea

  • Deutzia paniculata Nakai, a rare and endemic plant, has limited distribution throughout the North and South Gyeongsang provinces of South Korea. The D. paniculata community grows mostly on the stony slopes of forests, valley edges, and rock layers at 250-960 m in altitude, where deciduous trees are dominant and high humidity is maintained. Correlation analysis of vegetation and environmental factors found that the Walter's dogwood-mulberry community was correlated with soil acidity (pH). Whilst the queritron community had correlations with distance from the valley, rock rate and slope. The natural habitat of the Palgongsan Mountain in Daegu is known to have high genetic diversity, had eight D. paniculata individuals recorded from 2014 to 2018, and 12 individuals recorded in 2020 (new individuals due to a newly created space within the herbaceous layer caused by grass mowing works), it is therefore unlikely that the community would perish unless there was an artificial disturbance. To conserve the natural habitats of D. paniculata, oppression by Sasa borealis, damage, increase in crown density of the upper layer, overexploitation, and absence of seedlings should be carefully investigated. In addition, response measures should also be established and the impact on seed fullness and the reproductive characteristics of D. paniculata recorded. To restore declined genetic diversity, individuals from high genetic diversity regions, such as Palgongsan Mountain, should be artificially transplanted.

모암(母岩)의 전기비저항(電氣比抵抗) 변화(變化)에 따른 외견비저항(外見比抵抗)의 변화양상(變化樣相)에 관(關)한 모형연구(模型硏究) (A Model Study on the Variation of Apparent Resistivity along with Electric Resistivity Change of Host Rock)

  • A model study was conducted for the investigation of apparent resistivity variation along with electric resistivity variation of host rock and dip variation of bed. Experiments were carried out for the cases of horizontal and dipping beds in a water tank by using Wenner and Schlumberger arrays and by changing salinity of water. The ratios of resistivity values of the bed to that of brine were 1 : 10, 1 : 50, 1 : 100 and 1 : 500. Natural coally-shale of $55cm{\times}35cm{\times}3.5cm$ was used as a bed for experimental model, and brine as a host rock. Equi-resistivity curves and characteristic curves were obtained for each case of the experiment. The equi-resistivity curve was drawn both on the cross section parallel to strike of bed and longitudinal section perpendicular to it. The characteristic curve was drawn on the cross section. In the case of dipping bed of different dips, the curves are parallel to the boundary of the bed in the upper part of the bed, and are inclined to the opposite direction with the same angle of the dip of bed in the lower part. We can deduce, from the equi-resistivity curves, the location, shape and dip of the bed. It is shown in the characteristic curves that when the ratio of resistivity value of bed to that of host rock increases, the slope of curves becomes steeper, location of low-resistivity zone lower, and the width of it narrower. The slope of curves also becomes steeper when dip of bed increases. We can deduce, from the characteristic curves, the ratio of resistivity values between adjacent beds. It was found out from the experiments that electric resistivity method could be applicable to prospecting for underground geology with an electric resistivity contrast of 1 : 10. This fact strongly suggests that distinction of coal from coally-shale could be possible in a certain field condition.

환경친화적 산업단지 조성을 위한 계획요소의 중요도 분석 (An Importance Analysis of Planning Factors for Constructing Environmental-Friendly Industrial Estate)

  • This study prepared the list of planning components required for constructing environment-friendly industrial complex and grasped major environment-friendly planning components by measuring the importance per each planning component via the survey for specialists. As a result of measuring the importance of planning component according to each field for constructing environment-friendly industrial complex, it is indicated that important planning components in natural environment field are establishing complex location plan considering its configuration and slope, excluding projects for steep slope-land, establishing countermeasures for reducing contaminants per its source, and separated location of contamination industry around living space. In living environment field, proposed planning components having relatively high importance are separated location of pollution causing industry, establishing energy saving land use plan, linking with green way, circulation network plan, lowering noise level at roadside, plan for separating between pedestrian and vehicle, securing parking space, extending green park and proper location, installing green buffer zone, conserving and forming landscapes, land use for raising energy efficiency, and expansion of energy source. In case of ecological environment, core planning components such as conserving upper class of ecological naturality degree, conserving main habitat, and biotope forming plan are suggested. This study is limited to find out planning components for constructing environment-friendly physical environment of industrial complex which is a part of non-production process. The approach to solve environmental problem by linking spatially production process and non-production process. There is a need to conduct follow-up study to constructing technique for environment-friendly industrial complex considering production & nonproduction process afterward.
