The LR-Tree : A spatial indexing of spatial data supporting map generalization (LR 트리 : 지도 일반화를 지원하는 공간 데이터를 위한 공간 인덱싱)

  • GIS (Geographic Information Systems) need faster access and better visualization. For faster access and better visualization in GIS, map generalization and levels of detail are needed. Existing spatial indexing methods do not support map generalization. Also, a few existing spatial indexing methods supporting map generalization do not support ail map generalization operations. We propose a new index structure, i.e. the LR-tree, supporting ail map generalization operations. This paper presents algorithms for the searching and updating the LR-tree and the results of performance evaluation. Our index structure works better than other spatial indexing methods for map generalization.

Updating Digital Map using Images from Airborne Digital Camera (항공디지털카메라 영상을 이용한 수치지도 갱신)

  • As the availability of images from Airborne Digital Camera with high resolution is expanded, a lot of concern are in the production and update of digital map. This study presents the method of updating the digital map at the scale of 1/1,000 using images from Aerial Digital Camera. Geometric correction was completed using GPS surveying data. For digital mapping, digital photogrammetric system was utilized to digitize buildings and roads. The absolute positional accuracy was evaluated using GPS surveying data and the relative positional accuracy was evaluated using the digital map produced by analytical mapping. The absolute positional accuracy was as follows: RMSE in X and Y were ${\pm}0.172m\;and\;{\pm}0.127m$, and average distance error was 0.208m. The relative positional accuracy was as follows: RMSE in X and Y were ${\pm}0.238m\;and\;{\pm}0.281m$, and average distance error was 0.337m. Accuracies of updating digital map using images from airborne Digital Camera were within allowable error established by NGII. Consequently, images from airborne Digital Camera can be used in various fields including the production of the national basic map and the GIS of local government.

Development of an Automatic Updated System for Underground Structures (지하구조물 자동갱신 시스템 개발)

  • In recent years, as the number of ground subsidence has increased nationwide, the latest and usefulness of underground information for underground space development and underground safety management has become more important than ever. However, the 3D Underground Geospatial Map project, which started in 2015, has a problem with the manual-based long-term update system. This research paper overcomes these limitations and automatically updates the 3D CAD/GIS-based integrated management of underground structures that can be managed automatically from a full-cycle perspective of underground structure data management such as processing, transformation, updating, management, and visualization of 2D/3D underground structure data. If this technology is applied, it is possible to integrate processing and update management of the existing complex 3D construction logic of underground structures in one system, and it is expected that it can be used for underground space development and underground safety management as a foundation technology for automatic update of underground structures data.

A Consistency Control of Method for Spatial Data Cached in Mobile Clients (모바일 클라이언트에 캐쉬된 공간 데이터의 일관성 제어 기법)

  • In mobile client-server environments, mobile clients usually are disconnected with their server because of high cost of wireless communication and keep their own local copies to provide efficient updating the cached map. The update of the server database leads to invalidation of the cached map in the client side. To solve the issues of invalidation of the cached map, it is not efficient to resend part of the updated server database to clients whenever the updating of the server database occurs. This paper proposes a log-based update propagation method to propagate the server's update into its relevant clients by using only update logs. Too many logs increasingly accumulate as the sever database is updated several times. The sequential search of the relevant log data for a specific client is time-consuming. Sending of unnecessary logs should be avoided for reducing the overhead of communication.'re solve these problems, we first define unnecessary logs and then suggest log reduction methods to avoid or cancel creating unnecessary logs. The update log index is used for quickly retrieving relevant logs.

  • 도시화 속도의 증가와 더불어 3차원 자료 획득의 출처가 다양해지연서, 도로 및 건물경계선과 같은 선형 GIS 정보에 대한 신속한 갱신 또한 요구되고 있다. 임의의 출처 자료로부터 대상 자료를 갱신하기 위해서는 가장 먼저 두 자료간의 위치 관계를 결정하여야 하며, 특히 영상정보와 같은 출처 자료와 GIS 자료와 같은 대상 자료간의 위치 관계를 결정하기 위하여 기존에 제시되어온 대부분의 방법들은 두 개 자료간의 관계를 정의 할 수 있는 기준정과 같은 정확한 점 정합 요소(point matching entities)를 요구하고 있다. 따라서 정확한 정합 요소들을 획득할 수 없는 경우 영상과 GIS 자료간의 위치 관계를 결정할 수 없을뿐더러 위치 관계 정립의 결과는 정합 요소들의 분포 및 정확도에 매우 의존하게 된다. 또한 이러한 점 정합 요소들을 정의하기 위해서는 대부분의 경우 수동적으로 이루어질 수밖에 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 영상 및 GIS 자료의 선형 정보를 이용하여 정확한 점 정합 요소들을 모르더라도 영상과 GIS 자료간의 위치 관계를 결정할 수 있는 기법을 제시하고자 한다. 사용된 알고리즘은 개선된 Hough 변환(Modified Hough Transform)을 기반으로 다수의 선형 정보 중에 정합되는 요소들을 자동으로 찾아내고 이들을 최소제곱법으로 풀이함으로써 두 데이터간의 기하학적 변환 관계를 결정하는 기법이다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 접근을 통해 데이터간의 기하학적 변환 관계를 결정한 후, 영상 상에는 존재하지만 GIS 자료에는 존재하지 않는 선형 정보에 대한 갱신 여부를 확인하고 갱신함으로써 3차원 위치 자료의 자동 생성에 대한 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.로 갈수록 퇴적이 우세한 것으로 관측되었다.보체계의 구축사업의 시각이 행정정보화, 생활정보화, 산업정보화 등 다양한 분야와 결합하여 보다 큰 시너지 효과와 사용자 중심의 서비스 개선을 창출할 수 있는 기반을 제공할 것을 기대해 본다.. 이상의 결과를 종합해볼 때, ${\beta}$-glucan은 고용량일 때 직접적으로 또는 $IFN-{\gamma}$ 존재시에는 저용량에서도 복강 큰 포식세로를 활성화시킬 뿐 아니라, 탐식효율도 높임으로써 면역기능을 증진 시키는 것으로 나타났고, 그 효과는 crude ${\beta}$-glucan의 추출조건에 따라 달라지는 것을 알 수 있었다.eveloped.   • The digital map needs efficiently updating. Because it is a base map at each local government and several geographic information systems and that is the key to enhancing to use spatial data. We suggest the linking method of building registers to the building layers of digital map, to update attribute data of the building layers. To conduct that, it is very important that each building in two data is linked by one-to-one matching. In this paper, we generate the strategy for renewing attribute data of the building layers based on identifier by using identifier of the new address system.

  • Mobile transactions updating spatial objects are long transactions that update local objects of mobile clients during disconnection. Since a recovered transaction cannot read the write sets of other transactions committed before the recovery due to disconnection, the recovered transaction may conflicts with them. However, aborting of the recovered long transaction leads to the cancellation of all updates including the recovered updates. It is definitely unsuitable to cancel the recovered updates due to the conflicts. In this paper, we propose the recovery scheme to retrieve foreign conflictive objects from the write sets of other transactions for reducing aborting of a recovered transaction. The foreign conflictive objects are part of the data committed by other transactions and may conflict with the objects updated by the recovered transaction. In the scheme, since the recovered transaction can read both the foreign conflictive objects and the recently checkpoint read set, it is possible to reupdate properly the potentially conflicted objects.

  • The OGC(OpenGIS Consortium), which is standardization organization of geographic data, have been studied standard for geographic data such as GML and GML based annotation for image and map. Annotation for map is applicable in various ways, understanding about geographic data, decision making and exchange of communication. For instance, Map annotation can be used for highlighting tour-course as symbols or explaining it as text on a map in tourism. This study suggests some annotation methodology for national digital map and presents a simple implementation of it. Firstly, this study suggests a way of updating OGC annotation schema which corresponds with DXF format and creating a GML application schema using the updated OGC annotation schema. Also it suggest a way of converting instance documents of annotated map to VML document with XSLT and VML for display. Later, it is needed to study for supporting another formats as well as DXF format. In addition, it is needed to study for managing the history of updated map entity with annotation in Local governments UIS(Urban Information System) in practical aspects.

Urban Road Extraction from Aerial Photo by Linking Method

  • We have seen rapid changes in road systems and networks in urban areas due to fast urbanization and increased traffic demands. As a result, many researchers have put greater importance on extraction, correction and updating of information about road systems. Also, by using the various data on road systems and its condition, we can manage our road more efficiently and economically. Furthermore, such information can be used as input for digital map and GIS analysis. In this research, we used a high resolution aerial photo of the roads in Seongnam area. First, we applied the top-hat filter to the area of interest so that the road markings could be extracted in an efficient manner. The lane separation lines were selected, considering the shape similarity between the selected lane separation line and reference data. Next, we extracted the roads in the urban area using the aforementioned road marking. Using this technique, we could easily extract roads in urban area in semi-automatic way.

  • Mobile client-Server synchronization system supporting for field updating of spatio-temporal data could be interrupted incompletely as it has some failure of client-server system and network during synchronizing work. Thus the interruption of synchronizing could make some problem with not progressing normal synchronizing work while re-performing for the consistent error of client-server system and synchronization. This study analyzes defects that are generated at the mobile client-server environment and proposes recovery techniques which can rerun consistence of DB and synchronization.
