  • An atmospheric plasma pre-treatment method was applied to EVA foam, Leather (Action), Rubber and Unwoven to improve its contact angle and adhesion using atmospheric plate type reactor. In order to investigate the optimum reaction condition of plasma treatment, type of reaction gas (nitrogen), rate of gas flow (30~100 mL/min), and reaction time (0~30 sec) were examined in a plate plasma reactor. The result of the surface modification with respect to the treatment procedure was characterized by using SEM. Due to a decrease of the contact angle of various materials, the greatest adhesion strength was achieved at optimum condition such as flow rate of 100 mL/min, reaction time of 10 second for an atmosphere nitrogen gas. Consequently, the atmospheric plasma treatment reduced the contact angle of the EVA foam, Leather (Action) and Rubber also resulted in the improvement of the adhesion.

  • Removal of nitrogen compound from waste water is essential and often accomplished by biological process. Deni-trification bacterium. Paracoccus denitrificans(KCTC 2350) is employed to estimate the ability and the characteristics of denitrification. In the immobilized biological reactor system, the measurement of absolute amount of active strain in the reactor is comparatively difficult or impossible. In this study, strain immobilized denitrification reactor was designed with the unwoven texture wrapped peeped hole plastic tube to calculated the absolute amount of active strain by comparing the activity of the immobilized reactor adn the free cell reactor. The reactor system was continuous stirred tank reactor and the rate of substrate consumption was assumed to be Michaelis-Menten equation. As a result, we found that the amount of immobilized active strain was the half of the total active strain in the reactor and the time required to reach in the equilibrium state in the immobilized reactor system was shorter than that of the free cell reactor system.

In the immobilized biological reactor system, the measurement of absolute amount of active strain in the reactor is comparatively difficult or impossible. In this. study, a reactor was designed with the unwoven texture wrapped peep holed plastic tube to calculate the absolute amount of active strain by comparing the activity of the permeabilized and or immobilized reactor and the free cell reactor The reactor system was continuous stirred tank reactor and the reaction rate of substrate consumption was assumed to satisfy the Michaelis-Menten equation. The effluent concentration of nitrate and nitrite was measured to estimate the apparent parameter of Michaelis-Menten equation. As a result, we found that the amount of immobilized active strain was figured out to be half of the total active strain in the reactor and the time required to be reached in the equilibrium state in the permeabilized and or immobilized reactor system was figured out to be shorter than that of the free cell reactor system.

  • Core shell binder of organic/organic pair that has two different properties within a particle were prepared by a step emulsion polymerization of methacrylate (MMA), styrene (St), ethyl acrylate (EA), butyl acrylate (BA), and 2-HEMA by using an water soluble initiator(APS) in the presence of an anionic surfactant (SDBS). Unwoven tensile strength of the core shell binder after processing and measuring the PSt/PMMA/2-HEM core shell with the binder is a value represents the highest was $10.75\;kg_f$/2.5cm, elongation measurements PEA/PBA core shell binder showed the highest value was 120.00%. In conclusion, using the core shell binders were able to control the mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elongation.

  • This study was conducted to clarify effects of weed control methods on damages from agricultural chemicals of pear trees, growth of weeds and states of pear trees after treating pear orchards with different methods of weed controlling, density of GLU and application times. The growth and occupation rate were investigated after 10, 20 and 40 days of weeding treatment. According to a result of the first treatment conducted when weeds in the lower parts of crown in a pear orchard began to grow and grew about 20 cm, unwoven cloth covering showed the highest control value with 100% in all 14 kinds of grasses. In comparison, Stellaria aquatica and catchweed bedstraw showed 96.7% and 97.3% respectively in the 20 DAT investigate after the first treatment of GLU 540 g a.i. ha-1 and the high control value of 100% in other all kinds of grasses. According to an investigation of stalk enlargement, length of new shoot and the number of new shoot made to know differences in tree growth following treatment of the lower part of crown, to use weed killers two or three times a year or to eliminate grasses with machines have positive effects on cross growth of pear trees.

  • Kind of monomer(MMA, EA, BA, St)and the monomer ratio(80/20 to 20/80) where changed in the preparation of the core shell binder, and property was improved the plasma processing. Each material changed by plasma treatment time($1{\sim}10\;s$) to change to measure the tensile strength, contact angle and adhesion peel strength for the core shell binder optimal conditions for handling the output of the surface treatment. The type of polymerization and composition of the binder is a regardless initiator of APS, the reaction temperature of $85^{\circ}C$ to 0.3 wt% of the surfactant used to indicate when the conversion rate was the highest, core shell composite particle binder got two glass temperature curves. Core shell binder after the plasma processing contact angle change is the PEA/PSt 38 percent of cases within five seconds to indicate slight decrease was a decline rapidly if not handled $0^{\circ}$ to reach. Tensile strength PSt/PMMA varies $46.71{\sim}46.27\;kg_f$/2.5 cm and adhesion strength PEA/PMMA varies $7.89{\sim}14.44\;kg_f$/2.5 cm increases. Overall, adhesion strength of core shell composite particle is in the order of order PEA>PBA>PSt for shell monomer MMA.
