This paper investigates the determinants of students' success in Vietnam through conducting online interviews and surveys with 2,500 Vietnamese students at eight famous universities in Vietnam. By applying both SPSS 22 and STATA software, the study is to evaluate the impact of four driver factors, which affect GPA, language efficacy, and personal achievement. These factors are psychological perspective, home environmental, student demographic, and school environmental. The research results emphasize a positive effect of psychological and home-environmental determinants, but the negative effect of school environmental factors on the students' success. Besides, the relationship between demographics and student success was tested and indicated that male students have a better language learning ability, but a low level of academic achievement than female students. The results also point out the impact of religious affiliation and ethnicity on personal achievement. Non-religious students are better achievers than those having a religion or those in minority ethnicity. Moreover, accumulated schooling years are negatively associated with students' success. The more working experience students accrued, the higher possibility they are successful. Finally, the finding provides an insight into students' success that might be useful to government authorities and other universities in designing policies for enhancing the quality of education.

Methods: A descriptive research design was used in this study. The participants were 378 nursing students in M city and C city who were surveyed between June 1 and June 30, 2014 using self-report questionnaires. The data was analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0 Program, which determined frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation; a One-way ANOVA; a $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test; a Pearson correlation coefficient; and a Stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results: There were significant positive correlations between nursing students' self-leadership and their perception of learning. In the multiple regression analysis, self-leadership was the most significant predictor in explaining nursing students' perception of learning. Conclusion: Study findings suggest that nursing students' self-leadership is defined as having an important influence on nursing students' perception of learning. In order to strengthen nursing students' self-leadership, there is a need to develop education programs that increase nursing students' self-leadership.

This study investigated medical students' perceptions of good jobs. We classified medical students' perceptions of good jobs and analyzed the characteristics of each type. The Q methodology was used to extract medical students' subjective thoughts. After extracting statements based on previous studies, 46 Q samples were selected. The P sample consisted of 40 medical students divided evenly by gender and grade. They performed a Q sort of the 46 Q sample questionnaire and the results were analyzed using the QUANL ver. 1.2 program. Very few consensus statements were found in the replies. We divided answers into four types, each of which was clearly distinguished: (1) quality of life-oriented jobs, (2) reward-oriented jobs, (3) service-oriented jobs, and (4) self-realization-oriented jobs. Medical students in type 1 prioritized quality of life equally at work and at home. Medical students in type 2 preferred high-paying jobs. Medical students in type 3 placed importance on serving others. Finally, medical students in type 4 viewed good jobs as involving learning and development. The types of jobs sought were classified according to individual students' values and subjectivity. Medical schools may use the results of this study as a basis for career guidance.

Purpose: As coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and other emerging infectious diseases continue to threaten health security, a strategy is required to increase nursing students' care intention for patients with such diseases. This study aimed to identify factors influencing Korean nursing students' care intentions in regard to patients with emerging infectious diseases. Methods: The care intention, COVID-19 knowledge level, ethical sensitivity, beliefs, attitudes toward the care intention, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control were investigated using the theory of planned behavior. An online survey was completed from December 2020 to January 2021 by 227 nursing students who had complete a clinical practicum. Descriptive statistics, correlation, and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted on the data. Results: The care intention was higher in men than in women nursing students and in junior than in senior students. Behavioral and normative beliefs, attitude toward the behavior, and perceived behavioral control significantly predicted care intention. Ethical sensitivity increased the predictability of nursing students' care intentions for emerging infectious disease patients. Conclusion: The theory of planned behavior predicted nursing students' care intentions for emerging infectious diseases. Therefore, an experience-based response program on emerging infectious diseases is required for nursing students.

To test the association between teachers' professional development and students' performance, the Chi-square test was applied. Gamma measurement was computed to check the direction of association. Results - The results of the study supported the statement that there exists a positive relationship between teachers' professional development and students' performance. Conclusion - Based on the findings it is surmised that, in order to create a clear learning relationship between teachers and students, management must support the teachers through peer group discussions and training opportunities, and should choose-teachers who can make students pursue the learning of subject knowledge with practical implementation.
