송풍기용 단상 SRM의 구동특성 (Driving Characteristics of Single Phase Switched Reluctance Motor for Fan Application)

  • This paper proposes a new driving scheme for single-phase SRM. The driving scheme is very simple and inexpensive. By use of this scheme, simple power devices based on low switching losses enable to high efficiency SRM drive. Starting, One of the main problem in single-phase SRM is overcame by a new starting algorithm with one hall sensor and a parting magnet. The proposed single phase SRM has a high efficiency and robust drive characteristics compared to that of a universal motor.

  • In this paper, the design and characteristic analysis of a novel single-phase hybrid switched reluctance motor (HSRM) for the purpose of replacing the universal motor in commercial blenders are presented. The proposed motor is easy to manufacture due to its simple yet robust structure with minimized power switches and no torque dead-zone. Moreover, the proposed HSRM is able to deliver a high starting torque as a requirement for blending hard food or even ice. The stator has permanent magnets (PMs) mounted on its inner surface and the rotor has a wide pole arc and salient poles that contribute to its high starting torque profile and the elimination of the torque dead-zone. Finite element method (FEM) is used to analyze the characteristic of the proposed motor. Finally, the prototype is manufactured and its performance is verified through experiments.

  • In home appliances, electric energy is optimally controlled by using power electronics technology, creating a comfortable environment in terms of energy saving, low sound generation, and reduced time consumption. Usually simplicity and robustness make the three phase induction motor attractive for use in domestic appliance, including washing machines. Two main fpes of domestic washing machine have evolved. We focus on the front loading machine favored in Europe, which has a horizontal drum axis. With the advent of electronic control, universal motor, with a phase controller operating directly from the ac source, has become popular in washing machine. The efficiency improvement in home appliances is very important for customers. Induction motor efficiency can be improved by means of loss reduction, which can be realized by motor selection and design, improvement of the waveforms supplied by power inverter, utilizing a suitable control method. So this paper describes the architecture and feature of washing machine fed induction motor drive under minimizing losses vector control.

ProTaper Universal에 축적된 내부 응력이 피로 파절에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Internal Stress on Cyclic Fatigue Failure in ProTaper Universal)

  • 본 연구는 ProTaper Universal에 의도적으로 부여한 내부 응력이 피로 파절에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 25 mm 길이의 S1, S2, F1, F2, F3, F4 그리고 F5 파일을 내부 응력을 부여하기 위해서 Endo-Training-Bloc (Dentsply Maillefer)에 auto-stop 될 때까지 속도 300 rpm, 토크 1.0 Ncm의 값으로 밀어 넣었다. 부여한 내부 응력의 횟수에 따라 각각 Stress 0 군(대조군), Stress 1 군, Stress 2 군 그리고 Stress 3 군으로 분류하였다. 경사진 유리판을 사용하였고 파일 파절 시간을 측정하였다. 모든 파일에서는 Stress 3 군은 대조군에 비해 Ni-Ti 파일의 파절 시간이 감소하였고 F2와 F3에서 모든 실험군은 대조군에 비해 파절 시간이 감소하였다. F4와 F5에서 Stress 2 군과 Stress 3 군이 대조군에 비해 파절 시간이 감소하였다. ProTaper Universal의 피로 파절은 파일에 축적된 내부 응력에 의해 영향을 받는다.

Evaluation on Low-floor Bus Package Layout from the Perspective of Universal Design

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to suggest a package layout guideline for low-floor bus by interview with passengers and observations of their behavior. Background: Increasing attention has been introduced the low-floor bus to be more suitable for use by transportation handicapped. Complex issues are involved in providing comfortable services to all people. We are going to suggest package layout guidelines for more comfortable and suitable travel to all people. Method: The two times of survey and video observation sessions were conducted on low-floor buses in Seoul; (1) a finding of potential issues in the first session, (2) a confirming of issues from the last session. Results: The three of major issues were founded in this study; (1) difficulties in supporting body when standing, (2) difficulties in sitting on front wheel pan seat, (3) difficulties in passing through the aisle. Conclusion: There were clear differences between public and transportation handicapped in using some tools which are used for support body such as roof hand rails, side hand rails, and hand rail rings. Some of design problems were founded to improve from the perspective of ergonomics and universal design. Such differences and design guidelines have to be considered in bus design as well as commercial vehicle. Application: The proposed design guidelines can be used to development of low-floor bus and other public transportations.

구안와사(口眼喎斜)의 평가방법(評價方法)에 대한 고찰(考察) (A study of facial nerve grading system)

  • Background and Objetive : Lack of uniformity in reporting facial nerve recovery in patients with facial nerve paralysis has been a major disadvantage in comparing treatment modalities. The objective evaluation of facial nerve function is a complex procedure. The House and Brackmann grading system, the Yanagihara grading system has been recommend as a universal standard for assessing the degree of facial nerve palsy. However, clinical studies for treatment of facial palsy have rarely used this universal standard in oriental medicine. That is the reason for analysing this facial nerve grading system. Material and Method : We choose 10 scales reported from 1955 till 1995. These facial nerve grading systems may be classified as Gross system, Regional system and Specific system. Result and Conculsion : The scales of Botmann and Jonkees, May, Peitersen, and House and Brackmann are the gross facial nerve grading systems with which we grossly assess the facial motor dysfunction and the secondary defect. Among these scales, H-B scale is the most widespred The scales of Yanagihara(若杉文吉), Smith, Adour and Swanson, Jassen, FEMA are the regional facial nerve grading system in which we weight, or unweight the facial motor dysfunction and the secondary defect. For example, the scales of Yanagihara(若杉文吉) and Smith are the unweighted regional scale, the scale of Adour and Swanson, Jassen, FEMA are the weighted regional grading system. The scale of Stennert is the Specific facial nerve grading system in which we respectively assess the grade of facial dysfunction at rest, in motion and the secondary defect. For the objective evaluation of the oriental medicine treatment for facial palsy, we must use the universal standard scale, i.e. the H-B scale, the Yanagihara scale.

인간형 로봇관절의 개발 (Development of Anthropomorphic Robotic Joint)

  • In this paper, we present a new two-dof anthropomorphic joint mechanism that enables to mimic the humanlike motion. The proposed mechanism, called Double Active Universal Joint(DAUJ), generates a two-dof swivel motion without rolling by the coupled motion of two independent motor. In addition, we perform basic experiments to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism and the results are reported.

  • Design consideration on electric drivetrain(E-D/T), usually referred as electric motor for driving, its compatible reduction gear, and inverter, are performed for developing electric vehicle(EV) with efficient driving performance. Universal mode of driving cycle has been used to make up the actual vehicle performance, and its results are incorporated to the design of E-D/T.
