6.6 kV 전동기 고정자 권선의 절연진단과 절연내력 평가 (Estimation of Insulation Diagnosis and Dielectric Strength in 6.6 kV Motor Stator Windings)

  • To assess the deterioration condition of stator insulation, diagnostic and AC dielectric strength tests were performed on five high voltage (HV) motors (2,000 HP, 6.6 kV) for boiler feed-water pump (BFP). Two HV motors for BFP were installed per unit. Following the long term rewinding program, the diagnostic test was performed on five 6.6 kV motors during the planning maintenance period. After completing diagnostic test, AC dielectric strength test was done on the stator windings of HV motors. The AC dielectric strength test was conducted at 15 kV for one minute. Dielectric strength test and diagnostics test results confirmed that the stator insulation was judged to be in serviceable condition in the five 6.6 kV motors.

에폭시 수지 용출물질에서의 내분비계장애물질 Bisphenol-A의 정량과 용출특성 파악 (A Study on the Quantification and Chracterization of Endocrine Disruptor Bisphenoi-A Leaching from Epoxy Resin)

  • Bisphenol-A (BPA), a known endocrine disruptor, is a main building block of epoxy resin which is widely used as a coating agent in residential water storage tanks. Therefore, BPA leaching from the epoxy resin may have adverse effects on human health. The possibility of BPA leaching from three epoxy resins were tested with a modified KS D 8502 method at 20, 50, 75 and $100^{\circ}C$ in deionized water and the specified test water, respectively. BPA leached to the test water was identified using GC-MS and quantified with GC-FID after a sequential extraction and concentration. The results showed that BPA leaching has occurred in all three samples tested. The quantify of BPA leaching from unit area of epoxy resin coating was in the range of $10.677{\sim}273.120{\mu}g/m^2$ for sample A, 29.737~1734.045 for sample B and 52.857~548.778 for sample C depending on the test temperature, respectively. In general, the amount of BPA leaching increased as the water temperature increases. This result implies a higher risk of BPA leaching to drinking water during a hot summer season. In addition, microbial growth, measured by colony forming units, in epoxy coated water tanks was higher than that in a stainless steel tank suggesting that compounds leaching from epoxy resin may support the growth of microorganisms in a residential water holding tank.

A Study on Current Characteristics Based on Design and Performance Test of Current Generator of KRISO's Deep Ocean Engineering Basin

  • To build an environment facility of a large-scale ocean basin, various detailed reviews are required, but it is difficult to find data that introduces the related research or construction processes on the environment facility. The current generator facility for offshore structure safety evaluation tests should be implemented by rotating the water of the basin. However, when the water in the large basin rotates, relatively large flow irregularities may occur and the uniformity may not be adequate. In this paper, design and review were conducted to satisfy the performance goals of the DOEB through computational numerical analysis on the shape of the waterway and the flow straightening devices to form the current in the large tank. Based on this, the head loss, which decreases the flow rate when the large tank water rotates through the water channel, was estimated and used as the pump capacity (impeller) design data. The impeller of the DOEB current generator was designed through computational numerical analysis (CFD) based on the lift surface theory from the axial-type impeller shape for satisfying the head loss of the waterway and maximum current velocity. In order to confirm the performance of the designed impeller system, the flow rate and flow velocity performance were checked through factory test operation. And, after installing DOEB, the current flow rate and velocity performance were reviewed compare with the original design target values. Finally, by measuring the current velocity of the test area in DOEB formed through the current generator, the spatial current distribution characteristics in the test area were analyzed. Through the analysis of the current distribution characteristics of the DOEB test area, it was confirmed that the realization of the maximum current velocity and the average flow velocity distribution, the main performance goals in the waterway design process, were satisfied.

온도에 따른 사질토의 다짐 특성 (Temperature Effect on the Compaction Characteristic of Cohesionless Soil)

  • 흙의 다짐 특성에 영향을 주는 주요인자 중 하나인 온도는 지역과 계절에 따라 다양하게 변화하는 특성을 가진다. 최근 동토지방에서 많은 토목공사가 시행되고 있지만, 온도와 관련된 흙의 다짐기준 및 지침을 정량화할 수 있는 문헌은 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 온도에 따른 흙의 다짐특성을 시험을 통해 평가하고자 하였다. 시험을 위해 러시아 시베리아, 캐나다 앨버타 주 오일 샌드 지역 등에서 자주 쓰이는 성토재료인 모래의 온도별 다짐특성을 나타낼 수 있는 주문진 모래를 사용하였으며, 표준다짐시험을 흙의 다양한 온도조건($-10^{\circ}C$에서 $17^{\circ}C$)에서 수행하였다. 시험 결과 영상 온도에서는 다짐 시 벌킹 효과로 인해 흙 공시체의 부피 팽창이 발생하였으며, 그 범위는 0%~6%이였다. $0^{\circ}C$에서 $17^{\circ}C$까지 온도가 증가하면서 최대 부피(최소 건조단위중량)에 해당하는 함수비는 감소하였고, 최소 부피(최대 건조단위중량)에 해당하는 함수비는 온도가 증가함에 따라 약간 증가하였다. 영하 온도의 경우 함수비가 추가됨에 따라 건조단위중량은 지속적으로 감소하였다. 영하 온도에서는 벌킹이 발생하지 않았으며 물의 단위부피보다 얼음의 단위부피가 더 크기 때문에 흙 공시체의 부피가 증가하였다.

  • 항만구조물의 노후화가 가속화되면서 상향된 설계파 조건에 대응하기 위한 연구가 필요한 상황이다. 특히 피복재가 거치되는 경사식구조물의 경우, 상향된 설계파고에 안정중량을 확보하기 위해서는 피복재의 중량 증가가 필요하다. 그렇지만 그와 관련된 연구는 진행된 사례가 없다. 본 연구에서는 기존 피복재가 거치된 경사식구조물에 추가 피복재를 거치하는 경우, 추가 피복재의 안정중량 산정을 위한 수리모형실험을 수행하였다. 피복재로는 콘크리트 이형블록인 테트라포드를 적용하였다. 실험결과에 의하면 비월파 조건에서 기존 피복재(테트라포드)가 정적 거치이고 사면경사의 변화가 거의 없는 경우 실험조건 내에서 추가피복재(테트라포드)의 안정계수(Kd)는 일반적인 테트라포드 안정계수(Kd = 8)에 비하여 주기별로 차이가 있으나 최대 10% 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

제수원공 설계를 위한 장기간 연속수수량 추정모형의 개발 - 중심유역을 중심으로 (A Developmont of Numerical Mo del on the Estimation of the Log-term Run-off for the Design of Riverheads Works -With Special Reference to Small and Medium Sijed Catchment Areas-)

  • Although long-term runoff analysis is important as much as flood analysis in the design of water works, the technological level of the former is relatively lower than that of the latter. In this respect, the precise estimation model for the volume of successive runoff should he developed as soon as possible. Up to now, in Korea, Gajiyama's formula has been widely used in long-term runoff analysis, which has many problems in applying in real situation. On the other hand, in flood analysis, unit hydrograph method has been exclusively used. Therefore, this study aims at trying to apply unit hydrograph method in long-term runoff analysis for the betterment of its estimation. Four test catchment areas were selected ; Maesan area in Namlum river as a representative area of Han river system, Cheongju area in Musim river as one of Geum river system, Hwasun area in Hwasun river as one of Yongsan river system, and Supyung area in Geum river as one of Nakdong river system. In the analysis of unit hydrograph, seperation of effective rainfall was carried out firstly. Considering that effective rainfall and moisture condition of catchrnent area are inside and outside of a phenomenon respectively and the latter is not considered in the analysis, Initial base flow(qb)was selected as an index of moisture condition. At the same time, basic equation(Eq.7) was established, in which qb can take a role as a parameter in relating between cumulative rainfall(P) and cumulative loss of rainfall(Ld). Based on the above equation, computer program for estimation model of qbwas seperately developed according to the range of qb, Developed model was applied to measured hydrographs and hyetographs for total 10 years in 4 test areas and effective rainfall was estimated. Estimation precision of model was checked as shown in Tab- 6 and Fig.8. In the next stage, based on the estimated effective rainfall(R) and runoff(Qd), a runoff distribution ratio was calculated for each teat area using by computerised least square method and used in making unit hydrographs in each test area. Significance of induced hydrographs was tested by checking the relative errors between estimated and measured runoff volume(Tab-9, 10). According to the results, runoff estimation error by unit hydrograph itself was merely 2 or 3 %, but other 2 or 3 % of error proved to be transferred error in the seperation of effective rainfall. In this study, special attentioning point is that, in spite of different river systems and forest conditions of test areas, standardized unit hydrographs for them have very similar curve shape, which can be explained by having similar catchinent characteristics such as stream length, catchinent area, slope, and vegetation intensity. That fact should be treated as important factor ingeneralization of unit hydrograph method.

Improved Perfusion Contrast and Reliability in MR Perfusion Images Using A Novel Arterial Spin Labeling

  • Neurodegenerative disorders, like Alzheimer's disease, are often accompanied by reduced brain perfusion (cerebral blood flow). Using the intrinsic magnetic properties of water, arterial spin labeling magnetic resonance imaging (ASLMRI) can map brain perfusion without injection of radioactive tracers or contrast agents. However, accuracy in measuring perfusion with ASL-MRI can be limited because of contributions to the signal from stationary spins and because of signal modulations due to transient magnetic field effects. The goal was to optimize ASL-MRI for perfusion measurements in the aging human brain, including brains with Alzheimer's disease. A new ASL-MRI sequence was designed and evaluated on phantom and humans. Image texture analysis was performed to test quantitatively improvements. Compared to other ASL-MRI methods, the newly designed sequence provided improved signal to noise ratio improved signal uniformity across slices, and thus, increased measurement reliability. This new ASL-MRI sequence should therefore provide improved measurements of regional changes of brain perfusion in normal aging and neurodegenerative disorders.

급냉 제강슬래그를 재활용한 EVA-폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 특성 (Characteristics of EVA-Polymer Modified Mortars Recycling Rapid-chilled Steel Slag Fine Aggregate)

  • 급냉 제강슬래그를 재활용하기 위하여 제강슬래그의 치환율을 다양하게 변화시켜 만든 EVA-폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 기계적강도와 물성에 대하여 조사하였다. EVA-폴리머 시멘트 모르타르 공시체는 폴리머-시멘트비를 5단계(0, 5, 10, 15, 20 wt%), 급냉 제강슬래그의 치환율을 5단계(0, 25, 50, 75, 100 wt%)로 각각 변화시켜 총 25 종류의 공시체를 제작하였다. 공시체의 제 성능을 조사하기 위하여 후레쉬 모르타르의 물-시멘트비, 단위용적중량, 공기량과 경화 공시체의 압축 및 휨강도, 흡수시험, 내열수성시험, 세공분포측정 및 SEM에 의한 미세조직 관찰 등을 실시하였다. 그 결과 급냉 제강슬래그의 치환율이 증가됨에 따라 물-시멘트비는 감소되었으나 단위용적중량은 현저히 증가 되었다. 폴리머-혼화제 및 급냉 제강슬래그의 첨가량 증가에 따라 흡수율은 감소되었으나, 압축 및 휨강도는 현저히 증가되었다. 내열수성시험에 의하여 기계적강도는 현저히 감소되었으나, 세공량과 공극률은 현저히 증가되었다. 전자현미경 관찰에서 내열수시험 전의 조직은 견고하게 융착되어 있었으나 내열수시험 후의 조직에서는 폴리머-혼화제가 분해 또는 열화되어 있는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다.

동결된 흙의 강도에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Strength of Frozen Soil)

  • If the temperature of free water drops below the freezing point the water turns into ice and its volume increases. Analyzing of the results in test, it is hoped that these is broadly used in engineering plan. The compressive strength of frozen soils and the unconfined compressive strength of the ice. The creep strength depends on factors including creep ratio, time, strain and temperature. For a linear decreases in temperature, strength predicts an exponential increasing. The relationships between dry unit weight and compressive strength, water content and freezing with compacted soil samples, have been analyzed to understand the strength of frozen soil. Therefore, it is thankful that the results of analsis shall find useful application as a framework for generalizing experimental information as well as a basis for solving various frozen soil mechanics problems.

지상식 LNG 저장탱크용 고강도 자기충전 콘크리트의 최적배합에 관한 연구 (Optimum Mix Proportion of the High Strength and Self Compacting Concrete Used Above-Ground LNG Storage Tank)

  • 이 연구는 대용량 지상식 LNG 저장탱크에 사용할 고강도 자기충전 콘크리트의 최적배합 조건을 도출하고, 현장적용을 위한 기본 자료를 제안하기 위한 것이다. 60~80 MPa 고강도 자기충전 콘크리트를 적용하면, 벽체두께의 감소와 자기충전성에 따른 인력절감 및 품질확보 등을 통하여 경제성을 확보할 것으로 예상된다. 시멘트 및 분체는 점성 증대 및 수화열 저감에 우수한 플라이애쉬와 저열 시멘트(벨라이트)를 사용하였다. 플라이애쉬의 치환율은 구속수비 및 배합변수 실험을 통해 정하였으며, 배합변수는 단위수량(W), 플라이애쉬 치환율(FA), 물-결합재비(W/B) 및 잔골재율(S/a)로 하여, 최적배합비 및 경제성 평가를 실시하였다. 실험 결과, 설계기준강도 60 MPa의 경우에는 단위수량 165 $kg/m^3$, 플라이애쉬 치환율 20% 및 물-결합재비 27~30%로 나타났으며, 설계기준강도 80 MPa의 경우에는 단위수량 165 $kg/m^3$, 플라이애쉬 치환율 10% 및 물-결합재비 25%로 나타났다. 또한, 기존의 설계기준강도 40 MPa과 비교해 볼 때, 압축강도 증가에 따른 재료비 상승은 60 MPa의 경우 14~22% 및 80 MPa의 경우 33%로 나타나, 현장관리 및 인력절감 등과 함께 매우 경제적인 것으로 나타났다.
