For power electronic devices, the thermal energy density per unit volume has seen a rapid increase in recent years, owing to the miniaturization and dense integration of electronic components, as well as the continuous development in performance and function. This research examined the validity and reliability of a thermal safety model for managing the heating conditions of TRIAC electronic components. Among the electronic components of a PCB, these can be considered as a heat source. Using the model, the heating conditions of TRIAC components were maintained at their design target levels in the process of developing an LMT motor drive board. In addition, the heating characteristics of the entire PCB were analyzed to verify its thermal safety. Finally, the reliability and validity of the thermal safety model for maintaining the heating conditions of the TRIAC electronic elements at adequate levels was verified using a numerical analysis method.

In this paper, we implement and evaluate the performance of a vector-based rasterization algorithm for 3D graphics by using a SIMD (single instruction multiple data) many-core processor architecture. In addition, we evaluate the impact of a data-per-processing elements (DPE) ratio that is defined as the amount of data directly mapped to each processing element (PE) within many-core in terms of performance, energy efficiency, and area efficiency. For the experiment, we utilize seven different PE configurations by varying the DPE ratio (or the number PEs), which are implemented in the same 130 nm CMOS technology with a 500 MHz clock frequency. Experimental results indicate that the optimal PE configuration is achieved as the DPE ratio is in the range from 16,384 to 256 (or the number of PEs is in the range from 16 and 1,024), which meets the requirements of mobile devices in terms of the optimal performance and efficiency.

To investigate the underground structure of shallow water, Han-river near Yangsou-Ri, high resolution hydroacoustic measurements were carried out for the engineering design of railroad bridge. The acoustic source was a Boomer with an energy of 90 to 280J and in a frequency range up to about 16KHz. The reflected signals were received by using both traditional hydrophones(passive element) and a specially devised receiver unit(active element) mainly composed of piezofilms and preamplifier. They are connected to the "SUMMIT" data acquisition system(DMT-GeoTec company), where the sampling interval was set to 1/32㎳. The source position was continuously monitored by a precision DGPS system whose positioning accuracy was on the order of loom. For the quality control purposes, two different source-receiver geometries were taken. That is to say, the measurements were repeated along the profile everytime depending on the different source energy(175J, 280J), the receiving elements(passive, active) and two different source-receiver geometries. It was shown that the data resolution derived from a proper arrangement with the active hydrophone could be greatly enhanced and hence the corresponding profile section caused by the regular data processing system "FOCUS" accounted excellently for the underground formation below the shallow water.w the shallow water.
Hanok with a long tradition in our country, but a significant period of modernization in the process of being cut off did not have continuity. Many of Hanok aging, according to the rapid residential development and life-changing was the subject of a complaint. Conversely, the benefits of Hanok was given to the advantages that compare to a monotonous mass housing of apartments. Despite these changes and the potential of these social needs and demands Hanok quickly did not respond: First, for the life of contemporary and traditional Hanok with a form of gap is a matter of space and style. Economy and lifestyle $20,000 for the era of Hanok was to develop a model for spatial configurations. Second, Hanok in a low density, is evaluated to aging, because increasing the economic utilization of land and tailored to their needs as a Hanok housing requires the development of a model, but this did not present a layered model. The purpose of this study is a modern residential Hanok persistence of this set to have 1) the spatial characteristics of traditional and modern urban life Hanok living space that meets the requirements of the degree of each other, to find sustainable elements, and 2) these demands the modern residential area type, combined with a set of Hanok 3) Korea Hanok cultural characteristics which set is created to residential housing types is to develop a basic research.

With the development in industry, power demand has increased rapidly. As consumption of power has increased, Demand for new power line and electric capacity has risen. However, in the event of fault, problems occur in extending the range of fault coverage and increasing fault current. In these reasons, protection devise is recognized as the prevention of an accident and fault current. This paper dealt with minimizing fault propagation and limiting fault current by adjusting fault current limiter (FCL) with fast interrupter. At this point, we compared and analyzed characteristics between non-inductive resistance and fault current which is limited by superconducting units. In normal state of the power system, power was supplied to the load, but when fault occurred, the interrupter was operated as CT which detected the over-current. Its operation made the limitation of fault current through a FCL. We concluded that the limiter using superconducting units was more efficient with the increase of power voltage. Superconducting fault current limiter with the fast interrupter prevented the spread of a fault, and improved reliability of power system.
This paper presents a linear computational homogenization framework to evaluate the effective (or generalized) electromechanical coupling coefficient (EMCC) of adaptive structures with piezoelectric structural fiber (PSF) composite elements. The PSF consists of a silicon carbide (SiC) or carbon core fiber as reinforcement to a fragile piezo-ceramic shell. For the micro-scale analysis, a micromechanics model based on the variational asymptotic method for unit cell homogenization (VAMUCH) is used to evaluate the overall electromechanical properties of the PSF composites. At the macro-scale, a finite element (FE) analysis with the commercial FE code ABAQUS is performed to evaluate the effective EMCC for structures with the PSF composite patches. The EMCC is postprocessed from free-vibrations analysis under short-circuit (SC) and open-circuit (OC) electrodes of the patches. This linear two-scale computational framework may be useful for the optimal design of active structure multi-functional composites which can be used for multi-functional applications such as structural health monitoring, power harvest, vibration sensing and control, damping, and shape control through anisotropic actuation.

Periodic cellular core structures included in sandwich panels possess good stiffness while saving weight and only lately their potential to act as passive vibration filters is increasingly being studied. Classical homogeneous honeycombs show poor vibracoustic performance and only by varying certain geometrical features, a shift and/or variation in bandgap frequency range occurs. This work aims to investigate the vibration filtering properties of the AUXHEX "hybrid" core, which is a cellular structure containing cells of different shapes. Numerical simulations are carried out using two different approaches. The first technique used is the harmonic analysis with commercially available software, and the second one, which has been proved to be computationally more efficient, consists in the Wave Finite Element Method (WFEM), which still makes use of finite elements (FEM) packages, but instead of working with large models, it exploits the periodicity of the structure by analysing only the unit cell, thanks to the Floquet-Bloch theorem. Both techniques allow to produce graphs such as frequency response plots (FRF's) and dispersion curves, which are powerful tools used to identify the spectral bandgap signature of the considered structure. The hybrid cellular core pattern AUXHEX is analysed and results are discussed, focusing the investigation on the possible spectral bandgap signature heritage that a hybrid core experiences from their "parents" homogeneous cell cores.
As a smallest unit of the game story, quest needs to be analyzed in terms of structure in order to study quest storytelling. This thesis introduces structuralist theory of narrative function of folk-tale by Propp to determine the structure of the quest. Propp proposed immutable elements of the characters as 31 kinds of Folk-tale functions. I analyzed assigning quests in MMORPG. As a result, 13 essential functions of the Quest, and 5 add-ons were drawn and the order among functions was figured out. Most quests in MMORPG followed the order of the essential functions and optional add-ons and showed a repeating pattern. The essential and optional functions and its order can be utilized to arrange appropriate element for quest storytelling and to strengthen and lead the various ways of the quest storytelling.
Let $R={\oplus}_{{\alpha}{\in}{\Gamma}}R_{\alpha}$ be an integral domain graded by an arbitrary torsionless grading monoid ${\Gamma}$, ${\bar{R}}$ be the integral closure of R, H be the set of nonzero homogeneous elements of R, C(f) be the fractional ideal of R generated by the homogeneous components of $f{\in}R_H$, and $N(H)=\{f{\in}R{\mid}C(f)_v=R\}$. Let $R_H$ be a UFD. We say that a nonzero prime ideal Q of R is an upper to zero in R if $Q=fR_H{\cap}R$ for some $f{\in}R$ and that R is a graded UMT-domain if each upper to zero in R is a maximal t-ideal. In this paper, we study several ring-theoretic properties of graded UMT-domains. Among other things, we prove that if R has a unit of nonzero degree, then R is a graded UMT-domain if and only if every prime ideal of $R_{N(H)}$ is extended from a homogeneous ideal of R, if and only if ${\bar{R}}_{H{\backslash}Q}$ is a graded-$Pr{\ddot{u}}fer$ domain for all homogeneous maximal t-ideals Q of R, if and only if ${\bar{R}}_{N(H)}$ is a $Pr{\ddot{u}}fer$ domain, if and only if R is a UMT-domain.

Currently, a BIM-based quantity takeoff (QTO) system is mainly focused on architectural projects. To perform this, diverse quantity takeoff methods such as an object-based automatic quantity takeoff, manual quantity and base functions of calculation have widely been utilizing. However, since BIM library for road projects includes structural elements associated with alignment, it is necessary to establish cost estimation system interlocked with historical cost using 3D library by each unit length. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to develop cost estimation model with using a historical cost approach so that it can be utilized in construction planning based on the BIM library for road projects. For this, based on the BIM library for road, the standardized quantity is estimated, and a process for calculating historical cost and a verification model with a 5D simulation was developed by mapping a WBS code with each BIM library object. This can be applied during the approximate cost estimation process in a project planning and an initial design phase for road projects. Besides, it is expected that these results will be utilized in constructing an optimal historical cost estimation process for project libraries.
