A study was designed to investigate the pattern of sexual dimorphism in a plantation of Garcinia kola. Twenty trees were randomly selected for the study and have been observed to flower regularly. A total of 100 inflorescence were randomly collected from the crown of each tree and 500 flowers randomly assessed within the period of four (4) flowering seasons. Floral sex assessment was done visually and with a hand magnifying lens; floral morphometric measurements (i.e. pedicel and perianth length and breadth), inflorescence length, and breadth) was taken using a veneer caliper; number of flowers per inflorescence and inflorescence per twig was counted; while, data analysis was conducted on excel using analysis of variance and pairwise t-test comparison. Four floral sexes were identified in the G. kola plantation studied which were unisexual male flowers, unisexual female flowers, cosexual unisexual male flowers, and cosexual hermaphrodite flowers. Three tree sexes were identified viz: inconstant male, invariant female, and cosexual trees. The plantation was significantly sexually dimorphic in floral sex and phenotypic traits (i.e. pedicel and perianth size), and as well as sexually dimorphic in tree sex and reproductive phenotypic traits (i.e. inflorescence size, number of inflorescences per twig, and number of flower bud per inflorescence). The sexual system of the plantation was therefore trioecious with features suggestive of evolving dioecy through the gynodioecious pathway.

The cobitid hybrid complex of C. sinensis and C. longicorpus occurs commonly in the upper streams of the Nakdong River, Korea where it is sympatric with the bisexual species, C. sinensis and C. longicorpus.The specimens of hybrid complex which are all females accounted for approximately 40% of all cobitid fish observed. These cobitid complex having the unique cloudy specks on body sides appeared to be morphologically intermediate between C. sinesis and C. longicorpusus. The chromosomes of hybrid complex were composed of both diploid form of 49 and triploid form of 73. This forms are tentatively presumed to be a unisexual complex originating from hybrid between C. sinensis and C. longcorpus.

Rhodochorton purpureum 4187 from Jeju Island, Korea may have a sexual life history similar to that seen by other investigators working on other strains around the world. In culture short days (8:16, 11:13, 12:12 LD) at 10-15°C induced tetrasporogenesis. Discharged spores were observed with time lapse videomicroscopy. They showed a slight amoeboid movement for 2-3 minutes before rounding up and settling. Tetrasporelings develop into male and female gametophytes. No fertilisation was observed. Tetrasporangia often were borne on carpogonial clusters of females but no discharged spores were seen. Isolate 4241 from San Juan I., Washington, USA grew well in most conditions tested but did not reproduce in short days (8:16, 11:13, 12:12 LD) at 10-15°C.

The purpose of this study is to present the form of Korean policeman's headgear which is endowed with traditional Korean characters and a creative property that has distinctive from other headgears. The investigation was carried out through the researh of policeman's headgears in foreign countries such as United Kingdom France Belgium Italy germany and Japan. The dom-estic investigation was carried out through the Focused Group Interview and analysis on the domestic policeman's service and headgear. Lastly the research into the characteristic of Korean traditional headgear's from was carried out. Consequently two types of policeman's head-gear hat and cap were newly developed and the system of practical use was suggested. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Through the use of traditional and formal elements of Korean ancient headgears korean policeman's headgears were improved in distinc-tion and dignity. 2. Through the use of unisexual form police-man's headgears were improved in uniformity. 3. Through the use of transformal accessories policeman's headgear were improved in simplified system. 4. Through the use of newly formed and lighten weighted materials policeman's head-gears were improved in functionability.

This study examined on the most noticeable game industry in a digital era, and on the definition and feature of post-digital generation enjoying it, along with the relations with the game. Especially, this paper examined correlations between game characters' fashion and pop singers' fashion targeting post-digital generation enjoying games. As the result of this study, on-line game's popularity affected popular culture and game business and popular stars have close interrelation. In addition, through variosus objective surveys, the game characters' fashion was classified into five images before being analyzed; fighter's image, retro image, surreal image, sensual image, and unisexual image. The game characters' fashion wasn't only analyzed also studied correlation between on-line game character's fashion and pop singers' fashion by five images. Consequently in case of game characters' fashion, it influenced on pop singers' fashion targeting teens and twenties enjoying games, which meant fashion connections between game characters and pop singers.

Floral structures of 11 korean lauraceous species belonging to six genera have been studied. Machilus is a primitive genus having relatively large bisexual flower, six tepals and staminodes in fourth whorl of stamen. The flowers of Neolitsea are highly reduced state as unisexual flower, six stamens arranged to three whorls and no staminode in the flower, so regared as more advanced group. Intrafamilial classification systems of Nakai (1939) and Pax (1891) are more reasonable but still have some discrepancies with results. The origin of tepals of this group has been a long controversial problem; whether the differentiation of tepals occur. Teratological study of Lindera erythrocarpa, inner tepals of this group must be originated from the staminode and outer tepals from leafy tepals. Although morphological differentiation does not sitll occur, inner and outer whorls of tepals are originated through different way.

This is the result of the comparison of the number of jeans, colors, images, opinions when it was purchased, shapes according to the gender of persons in jeans. According to the gender, male students had 1.64 jeans(46.3%) and female students had 2.09 jeans(53.7%) on the average. Male students selected colors of jeans which they don't have, but want to wear once in the order of blue(3.7%), red(21.0%), white(24.1%), black(25.6%), and others(25.6%). Female students selected colors in the order of blue(3.2%), black(15.6%), red(24.8%), white(27.7%) and others(25.6%). In case of the general image about jeans, male students thought the jeans as masculine(1.2%), sexy(3.1%), unisexual(3.2%), active(23.6%), young(29.8%), and comfortable(36.5%) and female students thought it as masculine(0.3%), sexy(3.5%), unisexual(10.4%), young(21.9%), comfortable(28.1%) and active(35.8%). Male students considered torn or holed jeans ill-mannered(10.7%), delinquent, (20.7%)trendy(21.0%), comfortable(22.9%), and dandy(24.7%). Female students think it ill-mannered(3.4%), delinquent7.1%, trendy(17.4%), comfortable(21.1%), and dandy(50.9%). When they purchase jeans, male students choose according to trends(17.9%), don't consider design(19.5%) and look for their own styles(62.6%), female students didn't consider design(5.2%), choose according to trends(22.0%), and look for their own styles(72.5%). The designs of jeans which they usually wear were bell bottom(1.5%), wide-shaped(7.4%), baggy(17.5%), straight-shaped(73.6%) in case of male students. on the other hand, in case of female students, baggy(10.2%), wide-shaped(11.0%), bell bottom(17.0%), and straight-shaped(61.8%). The designs of jeans which they didn't have but want to wear once are wide-shaped(10.1%), bell bottom(13.2%), baggy(20.9%), and straight-shaped(55.2%) in case of male students. On the other hand, females students want to wear baggy(11.6%), wide-shaped(15.0%), straight-shaped(27.6%), and bell bottom(45.8%). The above-mentioned findings illustrated that both male and female students regarded blue as the original color of jeans, but they wanted to wear jeans in colors other than blue. In the past, jeans were considered masculine and unisex, but they viewed jeans as an apparel that was comfortable to wear and made it easier to move. Female students had a higher tendency to be fashionable than male students, and their preference for jeans was consequently different. Jeans manufacturers should take those characteristics into account to produce products in different colors and form.

The Cobitis hankugensis-Iksookimia longicorpa complex from Korea has been presumed to be a unisexual lineage, originating from C. hankugensis and I. longicorpa and having almost all females. Recently, it was confirmed that the complex consisted of one diploid and two triploid complexes. From observation of their oocyte envelopes, three forms could be classified: a villous projection in I. longicorpa, a granular one in C. hankugensis and two triploid complexes, and a granule with villous one in the diploid complex. Even within the same granular projection, they showed specific features in length and density number from each other. These architectures are first observed in cobitid complexes and may playa role in identification of diploids and triploids.
