A Study on the Yon-Hwa-Hyong Bracket Sets (다포의 형태 변화에 관한 연구 -조선중기 불교건축의 연화형 공포를 중심으로-)

  • This thesis attempts to investigate the design of the bracket sets(eave-supporters) of Dapo-style architecture(multiple-bracket architecture) in order to discover the change and the characteristic of the Yon-Hwa-Hyong bracket sets. The external shape of eave-supporters has been evolved as following order: Kyo-Du-Hyong, Soe-Seo-Hyong, Cho-Gak-Soe-Seo-Hyong, and Yon-Hwa-Soe-Seo-Hyong. The internal shape has been developed as following order: Kyo-Du-Hyong. Cho-Gak-Hyong and Yon-Hwa-Hyong. Kyo-Du-Hyong represents the 17th century style and Yon-Hwa-Hyong has been used since the mid 18th century. Cho-Gak-Hyong signifies the transformation in the structural and designing role of column section and middle section and there appears a unified aspect in Yon-Hwa-Hyong. The transformation from Kyo-Du-Hyong towards Yon-Hwa-Hyong suggests that this is an intention of symbolizing the Buddhist teachings inside and outside of the eave-supporters. The purpose of this change establishes the Buddhist land.

Modeling in System Engineering: Conceptual Time Representation

  • The increasing importance of such fields as embedded systems, pervasive computing, and hybrid systems control is increasing attention to the time-dependent aspects of system modeling. In this paper, we focus on modeling conceptual time. Conceptual time is time represented in conceptual modeling, where the notion of time does not always play a major role. Time modeling in computing is far from exhibiting a unified and comprehensive framework, and is often handled in an ad hoc manner. This paper contributes to the establishment of a broader understanding of time in conceptual modeling based on a software and system engineering model denoted thinging machine (TM). TM modeling is founded on a one-category ontology called a thimac (thing/machine) that is used to elaborate the design and analysis of ontological presumptions. The issue under study is a sample of abstract modeling domains as exemplified by time. The goal is to provide better understanding of the TM model by supplementing it with a conceptualization of time aspects. The results reveal new characteristics of time and related notions such as space, events, and system behavior.

A Comparison of Three Theories of Firm Boundaries (기업경계에 관한 세 이론의 비교)

  • Purpose - In this study, I attempt to clarify three theories of firm boundaries (vertical integration): the principal-agent theory, transaction cost theory, and property rights theory. Although these theories have been widely cited and much discussed, it has been found that understanding the commonalities and distinctions of these seemingly familiar theories is difficult. Design/methodology/approach - I present the three theories about the decisions that firms make concerning their boundaries. Then, I compare elemental versions of the theories of the firm. Findings - Comparing the ingredients of the elemental property rights and principal-agent theories shows that they provide a unified account of the costs and benefits of vertical integration. However, the property rights theory in no sense formalizes the transaction cost theory. Research implications or Originality - Clarifying the three theories of the firm can help to construct empirical models and interpret its results.

  • Give high priority to the technologies that can be directly applicable to the U-City development projects which are in progress by many central and local governments. Create a real world product at the end of R&D phase by testing prototypes in test-beds or test-labs. Recently, new construction technologies have been developed, but they are rarely being applied to the construction filed. In this paper, the basic design was examined so that various technologies can be selected through a test-bed, analyzed for the real situation, and applied to actual construction sites. Improve productivity of regional and urban construction exercises and improve competitiveness of related products and services using IT-based telemetering/GIS technology.

  • 인터넷의 발달로 인해 최근 Software 분야는 복잡해지고 많은 분야에서 결정적인 산출물로 다양한 어플리케이션이 개발되고 있다. 또한 Software의 품질과 보증을 목적으로 테스팅의 규칙적인 방법이 요구되어진다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 Software Application의 테스팅을 위한 개발 방법으로 확장성과 융통성 그리고 재사용성을 위하여 테스트 케이스 추출을 위한 메타모델을 시각화하고 테스팅 단계별 요구되어지는 모델을 Unified Modeling Language를 이용한 개발 관점을 테스트 설계 모델과 테스트 제어 모델로 구분하여 제시하고 특정 시스템 도메인을 활용하여 테스트 실행 환경과 테스트 프로세스 설계에 대한 방법을 제안한다.

  • The demand for automatic manufacturing systems is increasing. Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS) is usually considered as a soluting for the shop floor automation. One of the difficulties in FMS is the communications problem. Since various machineries with different communications protocoles are included, applying a unified scheme is almost impossible. Therefore, a systematic approach is a key point to solve the communication problem. A cell is difined as an automation unit where closely related for a job reside together. A cell is a messenger between upper level computers and lower level machine equipment. In this research, the fonctions of the cell are defined to have more capabilities than conventional cells since a cell can be often a total manufacturing system is a small to medium sized factory. The cell conducts communications with different machines through the communications schemes established here. A set of software system has been developed according to the defined communication. The software has been tested for a simulation and real experiments for proof.

  • 사물인터넷을 기반으로 실시간으로 승강기의 상태를 확인하고 제어가 가능한 웹 관리 시스템과 애플리케이션을 설계하였다. 웹 관리 시스템에서는 회원 정보의 수정과 열람, 승강기의 상태확인 및 변경을 할 수 있으며 애플리케이션에서는 회원 등록과 승강기의 호출 및 상태확인이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 승강기 제어장치의 설계 부분인 UML(Unified Modeling Language)을 활용한 여러 다이어그램과 애플리케이션의 UI를 볼 수 있다.

  • 시각적 환경 인식을 위하여 PTAM 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 최근 모든 방향의 시야각을 제공하는 구면 비디오를 위한 연구로 확장되고 있다. 기존의 구면 SLAM 방법은 Unified Sphere Model을 사용하며 앞면 시야각만 제공할 수 있는 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 구면 비디오를 위한 PTAM의 구현을 위한 카메라 모델을 제시한다. 제안된 카메라 모델은 핀홀 투영 카메라에 기반한 듀얼 영상 평면을 사용한다. 제안 방법은 앞면 시야각에 제약되지 않으며 전체 시야각을 지원한다. 또한 구면 바디오의 PTAM 적용 과정에서 평면 연산식을 직접 적용할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

A Quantitative Performance Index for Discrete-time Observer-based Monitoring Systems (이산관측기에 근거한 감지시스템을 위한 정량적 성능지표)

  • While Model-based Monitoring systems based on state observer theory have shown much promise in the laboratory, they have not been widely accepted by industry because, inpractice, these systems often have poor performance with respect to accuracy, band-width, reliability(false alarms), and robustness. In this paper, the linitations of the deterministic discrete-time state observer are investigated quantitatively from the machine monitoring viewpoint. The limitations in the transient and steady-state observer performance are quantified as estimation error bounds from which performance indices are selected. Each index represents the conditioning of the corresponding performance. By utilizing matrix norm theory, an unified main index is determined, that dominates all the indices. This index could from the basis for an observer design methodology that should improve the performance of model-based monitoring systems.

  • 그리드는 분산된 이기종 자원을 활용하는 컴퓨팅 패러다임으로 초기 그리드 자원을 활용하기 위한 표준으로 OGSA(Open Grid Service Architecture)가 제안되었다. 글로버스 툴킷3은 사용자가 OGSA에 표준에 맞게 그리드를 구성할 수 있는 기능을 제공했다. 하지만 그 이후 웹 서비스 표준의 발전에 따라 그에 맞는 새로운 표준인 WSRF(Web Service Resource Framework)가 정의 되었고, 현재 WSRF 표준에 따라서 GT4가 개발되어 발표된 상황이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존의 OGSA 표준에 맞게 구축된 그리드 정보검색 서비스들을 WSRF 표준에 맞도록 새로운 표준 인터페이스를 정립하고, OGSA-DAI(Data Access & Integration) 컴포넌트를 통한 데이터 관리 기능을 추가함으로써 새로운 그리드 정보검색 서비스 프로토타입을 정의하고자 한다.
