APR 1400급 원자로냉각재펌프의 회전체 진동평가에 관한 고찰 (Introduction of Vibration Evaluation for APR 1400 Reactor Coolant Pump Shaft)

  • The nuclear power plant was launched by Kori unit 1 in 1978 years. Currently, 23 nuclear power plants have been operating in Korea since 1978 years. The localization was completed for most of the reactor facility from Hanbit(Youngkwang) unit 3&4. However, RCP(Reactor Coolant Pump) and MMIS(Man Machine Interface System) is an important technology that has been excluded from the scope of the technical transfer has been dependent on a specific overseas vendor. Recent success in RCP development through co-operation with government and industries. Developed RCP will be applied to Shin-Hanul unit 1&2 nuclear power plants. The RCP operates in high speed and high pressure condition and only rotating component in the NSSS(Nuclear Steam Supply System). Therefore, the problem of vibration has arisen caused by the hydraulic forces of the working fluid. These forces can influence on the stability characteristics for entire RCS(Reactor Coolant System) loop, and can act as significant destabilizing forces. In this study, vibration evaluation of the pump shaft of development RCP estimated under normal operation and over speed conditions. In order to predict the vibration characteristics and dynamic behavior, modal analysis, critical speed analysis and unbalance response spectrum analysis were performed.

순환 전류를 이용한 병렬 연결된 사이리스터 듀얼 컨버터의 불균형 병렬 운전 보상 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Compensation Method for Unbalance Parallel Operation of Parallel Connected Thyristor Dual Converters using Circulating Current)

  • This study proposes a performance improvement for parallel-connected thyristor dual converters using a circulating current with an unbalanced parallel operation compensator. The proposed control method determines a variable reference value for the voltage PI controller according to voltage error at firing angle control applied to a difference current control. This method uses circulating current control to maintain a stable voltage and excellent current response during parallel operation. The effectiveness of the proposed control is verified with a simulation and an experiment based on the comparison of the performance of the proposed control method with other conventional methods.

  • This paper proposes a novel switching strategy of 1Mvar STATCON using cascade multilevel H-bridge inverter(HBI) for FACTS application. To control the reactive power instantaneously, the d-q dynamic system model is described and analyzed. A single pulse pattern based on the SHEM(Selective Harmonic Elimination Method) technique is determined from the look-up table to reduce the line current harmonics and a rotating fundamental frequency switching scheme is presented to adjust the DC voltage of each inverter capacitor at the same value. So the voltage unbalance problem between separately DC bus voltage is improved by using the proposed switching scheme. As a result, the presented inverter configuration not only reduces the system complexity by eliminating the isolation at the AC input side transformer but also improves the dynamic response to the step change of reactive power.

프로세스 대형 모터-발전기의 저어널 베어링 설계 개선 - Part I : 베어링 성능해석 (Journal Bearing Design Retrofit for Process Large Motor-Generator - Part I : Bearing Performance Analysis)

  • In this study, with the purpose of fundamentally improving the unbalance response vibration of a large PRT motor-generator rotor by design, a performance improvement design analysis is carried-out by retrofitting tilting pad bearings, replacing the plain partial journal bearings that were originally applied for operation at a rated speed of 1,800 rpm. In this process, a goal of the design analysis is to obtain a design solution for maximizing the direct stiffness of the bearings while satisfying the key basic lubrication performance requirements such as the minimum lift-off speed and maximum oil-film temperature. The results show that with a careful design application of tilting pad journal bearings for operation at such a relatively low speed of 1,800 rpm, direct stiffness increment of the bearings by about two times can be effectively achieved. Prevention of pad unloading is also considered in the analysis. Moreover, the designs of elliptical and offset half journal bearings are also analyzed and reviewed.

고추력 액체 로켓 엔진용 터보펌프의 회전체동역학 해석 (Rotordynamic Analysis of a High Thrust Liquid Rocket Engine Turbopump)

  • 볼 베어링과 펌프 비접촉 실의 동특성을 고려하여 고추력 액체 로켓 엔진용 터보펌프의 회전체동역학 해석이 수행되었다. 회전 고유진동수와 감쇠비를 예측하기 위하여 회전속도에 따른 복소 고유치 해석이 수행되었다. 동기 회전체 질량 불평형 응답과 시간 과도 응답 해석을 통하여 회전체의 임계속도와 불안정 운전 시작 속도가 확인되었다. 수치 해석 결과로부터 후방 베어링 강성이 임계속도와 불안정성 예측에 있어서 가장 중요한 인자로 확인되었는데, 이는 1차 모드가 터빈부 회전축 굽힘 모드인 것에 기인한다. 임계속도에 있어서 펌프 실의 영향은 후방 베어링 강성이 감소할수록 그리고 전방 베어링 강성이 증가할수록 확대되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • At the fuel processing system (FPS) of fuel cell vehicle, hydrogen recirculation blower (HRB) is used for the recirculation of remained hydrogen after reaction. In this paper, noise and vibration improvement of HRB is studied by changing design and control. It is checked the campbell diagram and critical speed for stability of rotor, and housing stiffness is improved using simulation of frequency response function (FRF). A method is suggested that can decrease the unbalance amount of the rotor and impeller which main source of noise and vibration. In order to reduce the noise during deceleration of blower, electrical braking is applied and tested the risk impact of durability. Founded the optimum switching frequency of the motor control, and reduced the idle rpm by increasing of aerodynamic performance. The superiority of paper is proved by measurement of the improved product's noise and vibration.

2006년 지방선거 출구조사 현황 및 예측오차 (An Overview of Exit Polls for the 2006 Local Elections)

  • 본 연구에서는 2006년 5월에 KBS/SBS에서 공동으로 실시한 제4회 전국동시지방선거 출구조사 과정을 소개하는 동시에 출구조사 자료를 통해 투표자의 특성(성별 및 연령대)에 따른 투표성향과 시간대별 투표자 특성을 정리하고, 출구조사 선거구별 득표율을 예측치와 실제 개표결과를 비교하여 출구조사의 예측오차를 살펴본다. 이를 위해 이번 출구조사에서 적용된 전반적인 표본추출방법 및 실사과정을 정리하고, 출구조사에서 발생한 전체 오차를 편향과 표본추출오차로 분리하여 오차의 특성을 분석한다. 편향 발생원인 중 하나로 볼 수 있는 표본의 대표성을 검토하기 위해 출구조사 표본을 선관위에서 집계한 투표자 투표율 분석결과와 비교하여 평가한다. 아울러 이번 지방선거 출구조사에서 적용된 '층화 후 정렬계통추출법'에 따른 분산추정법을 적용하여 출구조사의 정확성을 표본추출오차 관점에서 살펴본다.

2D 유한요소 해석을 통한 물 분사 펌프의 동특성 분석 (Analysis of Dynamics Characteristics of Water Injection Pump through the 2D Finite Element)

  • After drilling operations at the offshore plant, crude oil is producted under high pressure. After that time, oil recovery is reduced, because the pressure of the pipe inside is low during the secondary produce. At that time injection sea water at the pipe inside through water injection pump that the device increase to recovery. A variety of mathematical analysis during the detailed design analysis was not made through the dynamics characteristic at the domestic company. 2D model has reliability of analysis results for the uncomplicated model. Also element and the node the number of significantly less than in the 3D model. So, the temporal part is very effective. In addition, depending on the quality of mesh 3D is a real model and FEM model occurs error. So, user needs a lot of skill. In this paper, a 2D finite element analysis was performed through the dynamics analysis and the study model was validated.

베어링 하우징의 구조 유연성에 따른 터보펌프 회전체동역학 특성 연구 (A Study on the Turbopump Rotordynamic Characteristics due to Bearing Housing Structural Flexibility)

  • 베어링 하우징의 구조 유연성을 고려하여 7톤급 액체 로켓 엔진용 터보펌프의 회전체동역학 해석이 수행되었다. 볼 베어링과 펌프 비접촉 실의 강성 및 감쇠 특성이 회전체동역학 모델에 반영되었으며, 베어링 하우징의 동특성이 집중 질량 및 강성으로 모델링 되어 해석에 반영되었다. 동기 회전체 질량 불평형 응답 해석과 회전 속도에 따른 복소 고유치 해석으로부터 회전체의 임계속도와 불안정 운전 시작 속도를 예측하였다. 회전체동역학적 특성에 베어링 하우징이 미치는 영향이 베어링 부하 조건 및 무부하 조건에서 각각 검토되었다. 수치 해석 결과 베어링 하우징의 구조 유연성은 회전체의 임계속도와 불안정 운전 속도를 의미있게 감소시킬 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

5패드 틸팅 패드 베어링의 설계 조건 변화가 소형 가스터빈의 횡진동 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Design Conditions in Five Pad Tilting Pad Bearing on the Lateral Vibration Characteristics of Small Gas Turbine)

  • In tilting pad bearing design process, the selection of the proper configuration type of either a load-between-pad(LBP) or load-on-pad(LOP) as well as preload and pivot offset conditions is to be carefully considered. Also the bearing needs to be designed in order to be suited for the rotor-bearing system and operating condition. In this paper, it is observed that the dynamic characteristics in a five pad tilting pad bearing for the LBP and the LOP configurations are influenced by the variation of preload and pivot offset. In this context, rotor dynamic analysis of the 5 MW industrial gas turbine supported by the tilting pad bearing at the front and roller bearing at the rear is carried out based on the dynamic coefficients of the tilting pad bearing investigated. The result shows that two rigid body critical modes experience various changes according to the influence of the tilting pad bearing uniquely applied to one side of this machine. Mainly, the second critical speed, the rigid body mode of conical shape with high whirling in the tilting pad bearing, is significantly changed by preload and pivot offset regardless of the LBP and LOP configurations. And, the first critical mode, the rigid body mode of conical shape with high whirling in the roller bearing, is sensitively affected by preload applied to the LOP configuration and by its asymmetric dynamic properties.
