In the display industry, COG bonding method is being applied to production of LCD panels that are used for mobile phones and monitors, and is one of the mounting methods optimized to compete with the trend of ultra small, ultra thin and low cost of display. In COG bonding process, electrical characteristics such as contact resistance, insulation property, etc and mechanical characteristics such as bonding strength, etc depend on properties of conductive particles and epoxy resin along with ACF materials used for COG by manufacturers. As the properties of such materials have close relation to optimization of bonding conditions such as temperature, pressure, time, etc in COG bonding process, it is requested to carry out an in-depth study on characteristics of COG bonding, based on which development of bonding process equipment shall be processed. In this study were analyzed the characteristics of COG bonding process, performed the analysis and reliability evaluation on electrical and mechanical characteristics of COG bonding using ACF to find optimum bonding conditions for ACF, and performed the experiment on bonding characteristics regarding fine pitch to understand the affection on finer pitch in COG bonding. It was found that it is difficult to find optimum conditions because it is more difficult to perform alignment as the pitch becomes finer, but only if alignment has been made, it becomes similar to optimum conditions in general COG bonding regardless of pitch intervals.

In this study, the effects of heat and radiation on the degradation behaviour of fluoroelastomer under simulated normal operation and a severe accident environment were investigated using sequential testing of gamma irradiation and thermal degradation. Tensile properties and Shore A hardness were measured, and thermogravimetric analysis was used to evaluate the degradation behaviour of fluoroelastomer. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to characterize the structural changes of the fluoroelastomer. Heat and radiation generated in nuclear power plant break and deform the chemical bonds, and fluoroelastomer exposed to these environments have decreased C-H and functional groups that contain oxygen and double bonds such as C-O, C=O and C=C were generated. These functional groups were formed by auto oxidation by reacting free radicals generated from the cleaved bond with oxygen in the atmosphere. In this auto oxidation reaction, crosslinks were generated where bonded to each other, and the mobility of molecules was decreased, and as a result, the fluoroelastomer was hardened. This hardening behaviour occurred more significantly in the severe accident environment than in the normal operation condition, and it was found that thermal stability decreased with the generation of unstable structures by crosslinking.

This study aimed to analyze the content and composition of a biological amine, cadaverine, isolated from the venom of worker honeybees (Apis mellifera L.). This biological amine―which has diverse functionality, such as anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects―has not been previously reported in bee venom. An assay completed in 13 minutes was developed for the cadaverine present in the bee venom using an ultra-performance liquid chromatograph and a Halo C18 column with acetonitrile and water as the mobile phase. The specificity, accuracy, and precision of the assay were verified, and the assay was validated. The linearity for cadaverine in the bee venom was R2=0.99 or above, indicating a moderate level. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were both 0.3 ㎍/ml, and the rate of recovery was 97.6%-99.1%. The relative standard deviation (RSD) of the intra-day precision and inter-day precision for cadaverine was 0.25%-0.44% and 0.25%-1.25%, respectively, with an RSD that fell within 5% indicating excellent precision. Through this novel assay, it was found that the mean content of cadaverine was 1.10±0.05 mg/g. Our results indicated that the linearity, limit of detection, limit of quantification, and rate of recovery of the cadaverine assay were of a satisfactory level, and the cadaverine content of the bee venom was ably determined. This study provides basic data on cadaverine in bee venom, which will prove useful in further studies on the bioactivity of this component.
A noble method for pre-concentration and speciation of ultra trace As (III) and As (V) in urine and whole blood samples based on dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) has been developed. In this method, As (III) was complexed with ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate at pH = 4 and Then, As (III) was extracted into the ionic liquid (IL). Finally, As (III) was back-extracted from the IL with hydrochloric acid (HCl) and its concentration was determined by flow injection coupled with hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry (FI-HGAAS). Total amount of arsenic was determined by reducing As (V) to As (III) with potassium iodide (KI) and ascorbic acid in HCl solution and then, As (V) was calculated by the subtracting the total arsenic and As (III) content. Under the optimum conditions, for 5-15 mL of blood and urine samples, the detection limit ($3{\sigma}$) and linear range were achieved 5 ng $L^{-1}$ and 0.02-10 ${\mu}g\;L^{-1}$, respectively. The method was applied successfully to the speciation and determination of As (III) and As (V) in biological samples of multiple sclerosis patients with suitable precision results (RSD < 5%). Validation of the methodology was performed by the standard reference material (CRM).

Ultra wideband (UWB) technologies have been developed to exploit a new spectrum resource in substances and to realize ultra-high-speed communication, high precision geolocation, and other applications. The energy of UWB signal is extremely spread from near DC to a few GHz. This means that the interference between conventional narrowband systems and UWB systems is inevitable. However, the interference effects had not previously been studied from UWB wireless systems to conventional mobile wireless systems sharing the frequency bands such as Cellular CDMA and Korean PCS. This paper experimentally evaluates the interference from two kinds of UWB sources, namely a direct-sequence spread-spectrum UWB source and an impulse radio UWB source, to a Cellular CDMA and K-PCS digital transmission system. The average frame error rate degradation of each system arc presented. From these experimental results, we show that in all practical cases UWB system can coexist with Cellular CDMA and K-PCS terminal without causing any dangerous interference.
Conventional synchronization algorithms for impulse radio require high-speed sampling and a precise local clock. Here, a phase-locked loop (PLL) scheme is introduced to acquire and track periodical impulses. The proposed impulse PLL (iPLL) is analyzed under an ideal Gaussian noise channel and multipath environment. The timing synchronization can be recovered directly from the locked frequency and phase. To make full use of the high harmonics of the received impulses efficiently in synchronization, the switching phase detector is applied in iPLL. It is capable of obtaining higher loop gain without a rise in timing errors. In different environments, simulations verify our analysis and show about one-tenth of the root mean square errors of conventional impulse synchronizations. The developed iPLL prototype applied in a high-speed ultra-wideband transceiver shows its feasibility, low complexity, and high precision.

Attitude control of a satellite is very important to ensure proper for mission performance. Satellites launched in the past had simple missions. However, recently, with the advancement of technology, the tasks to be performed have become more complex. One example relies on a new technology that allows satellites quickly alter their attitude while orbiting in space. Currently, one of the most widely used technologies for satellite attitude control is the reaction wheel. However, the amount of torque generated by reaction wheels is too low to facilitate quick maneuvers by the satellite. One way to overcome this is to implement posture control logic using a control moment gyroscope (CMG). Various types of CMGs have been applied to space systems, and CMGs are currently mounted on large-scale satellites. However, although technological advancements have continued, the market for CMGs applicable to, small satellites remains in its early stages. An ultra-small CMG was developed for use with small satellites weighing less than 200 kg. The ultra-small CMG measured its target performance outcomes using a precision torque-measuring device. The target performance of the CMG, at 800 mNm, was set through an analysis. The final torque of the CMG produced through the design after the analysis was 821mNm, meaning that a target tolerance level of 10% was achieved.

The accuracy of the upward continuation is assessed through the gravity modeling using an ultra-high degree spherical harmonic expansion. The difficulties in the numerical calculation of Legendre function with ultra-high degree, underflow and/or overflow, is successfully resolved in 128 bit calculation scheme. Using the generated Legendre function, the gravity anomaly with spatial resolution of $1'{\times}1'$ on the geoid is calculated. The generated gravity anomaly is degraded and extracted with various noise levels and data intervals, then upward continuation is applied to each data sets. The comparison between the upward continued gravity disturbances and the directly calculated from the spherical harmonics showed that the accuracy on the direct method was significantly better than that of Poisson method. In addition, it is verified that the denser and less noised gravity data on the geoid generates better gravity disturbance vectors at an altitude. Especially, it is found that the gravity noise level less than 5mGal, and the data interval less than 2arcmin is necessary for next generation precision INS navigation which requires the accuracy of 5mGal or better at an altitude.

As demands for precision parts are increased, existing methods to fabricate them such as MEMS, LIGA technology have the technical limitations like high precision, high functionality and ultra miniaturization. A micro-stereolithography technology based on $DMD^{TM}$(Digital Micromirror Device) can meet these demands. In this technology, STL file is the standard format as the same of conventional rapid prototyping system, and 3D part is fabricated by stacking layers that are sliced as 2D section from STL file. Whereas in conventional method, the resin surface is cured as scanning laser beam spot according to the section shape, but in this research, we use integral process which enables to cure the resin surface at one time. In this paper, we deal with the dynamic pattern generation and $DMD^{TM}$ operation to fabricate micro structures. Firstly, we address effective slicing method of STL file, conversion to bitmap, and dynamic pattern generation. Secondly, we suggest $DMD^{TM}$ operation and optimal support manufacturing for $DMD^{TM}$ mounting. Thirdly, we examine the problems on continuous stacking layers, and their improvements in software aspects.
