전기로를 활용한 3D 샌드몰드 바인데 제거 시간 검토 (Review of 3D Sandmold Binder Removal Time Using Electric Furnace)

  • This research reviewed the status of binder removal depending on the heating temperature and duration by using the 3D sand mold as an electric heating method. In the case of the electric heating method, it was confirmed that a heating temperature of at least 800℃ or higher was required to remove the binder of the 3D sand mold, and the heating duration was confirmed to be about 10 minutes. Afterwards, it is considered necessary to further evaluate the additional binder removal method and the utilization of recycling silica in consideration of economic feasibility and productivity.

압축강도 및 양생조건에 따른 초고성능 콘크리트의 직접인장강도 특성 (Effect of Compressive Strength and Curing Condition on the Direct Tensile Strength Properties of Ultra High Performance Concrete)

  • 본 연구는 초고강도 섬유보강 콘크리트의 인장강도 특성을 파악하기 위한 일환의 연구로서 직접인장시험에 의한 노치가 도입된 시험체의 인장성능을 파악하기 위하여 시험변수는 목표 설계기준강도 120, 150 및 180MPa를 대상으로 하였으며, 양생조건을 일반 수중양생과 $90^{\circ}C$ 고온증기 양생조건으로 하여 그 특성을 검토하였다. 전반적으로 노치타입의 직접인장강도 시험체는 기존 직접인장 시험체에 비해 중앙균열 유도가 효과적인 것으로 나타났으며 데이터를 직접 인장강도-변형률 그래프로 나타낸 결과 먼저 재령 측면에서는 28일에서 56일로 진행할 때의 강도 상승이 가장 높은 것으로 측정 되었으며, 양생조건 측면에서는 고온증기 양생의 경우 수중양생의 비해 초기 강도가 높으나 장기 재령에 가까워질수록 두 가지 양생조건의 직접인장강도 차이가 미비해지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 최대인장강도는 수중양생의 경우 모든 목표설계강도가 재령이 증가할수록 일정하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 증기양생의 경우 재령 7일에서 초기강도 발현 효과로 인해 상당히 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 초기균열 강도는 수중양생의 경우 재령경과에 따라 증가하며, 증기양생의 경우 7일에서 수중양생에 비해 높은 것으로 나타난 반면에 28일 강도는 저하하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이부분에 대해서는 강섬유의 배열상태 등의 검토가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

A numerical tension-stiffening model for ultra high strength fiber-reinforced concrete beams

  • A numerical model that can simulate the nonlinear behavior of ultra high strength fiber-reinforced concrete (UHSFRC) structures subject to monotonic loadings is introduced. Since engineering material properties of UHSFRC are remarkably different from those of normal strength concrete and engineered cementitious composite, classification of the mechanical characteristics related to the biaxial behavior of UHSFRC, from the designation of the basic material properties such as the uniaxial stress-strain relationship of UHSFRC to consideration of the bond stress-slip between the reinforcement and surrounding concrete with fiber, is conducted in this paper in order to make possible accurate simulation of the cracking behavior in UHSFRC structures. Based on the concept of the equivalent uniaxial strain, constitutive relationships of UHSFRC are presented in the axes of orthotropy which coincide with the principal axes of the total strain and rotate according to the loading history. This paper introduces a criterion to simulate the tension-stiffening effect on the basis of the force equilibriums, compatibility conditions, and bond stress-slip relationship in an idealized axial member and its efficiency is validated by comparison with available experimental data. Finally, the applicability of the proposed numerical model is established through correlation studies between analytical and experimental results for idealized UHSFRC beams.

  • The objective of this paper is to investigate and analyze the behaviour of prestressed I section structural members constructed with ultra high perfomance steel fiber reinforced cementitious concrete (SFR-UHPC). This material is known as reactive powder concrete (RPC) mixed with domestic materials and its compressive strength is over 150MP. The parameters of test specimens were span to depth ratio, prestressing force, prestressing wire placement and web width. Most influential parameter to determine the failure mode between shear and flexural action was proved to be shear span ratio. The characteristics of ultra high-strength concrete is basically brittle, but due to the steel fiber reinforcement behaviour of this structure member became ductile after the peak load. As a result of the test, the stress block of compressive zone should be redefined. The proposed analytical calculation of internal force capacity based by plastic analysis gave a good prediction for the shear and flexural strength of specimens. The numerical verification of the finite element model which constitutive law developed for Mode I fracture of fiber reinforced concrete correctly captured the overall behaviour of the specimens tested.

안료를 혼입한 고강도 시멘트 복합체의 강도 및 색상 발현의 관계특성 (Characterization of the Relationship between Strength and Color Expression of High-Strength Cement Composites Incorporating Pigments)

  • Recently, the construction industry has seen the emergence of interior and exterior finishes using ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) and colored concrete products using precast concrete (PC). However, the excessive amount of pigment used for coloring reduces the strength of the concrete. There is a need to improve the durability and chromaticity of colored concrete, and further analytical studies on the properties of colored concrete are also required. Therefore, in this paper, colored ultra-high strength cement composites (C-UHSCC) containing red and green inorganic pigments were prepared, and the compressive strength and color of the specimens were measured according to the age, and the correlation between strength and color was analyzed by simple linear regression analysis using R2 value. The results showed that the red color was highly correlated with L* and a*, and the green color was highly correlated with a*. These results can be considered for various concrete formulations, but research is needed to suggest the optimal pigment mixing ratio for proper strength and color development.

Traffic-induced vibrations at the wet joint during the widening of concrete bridges and non-interruption traffic control strategies

  • The rapid development of road transport has increased the number of bridges that require widening. A critical issue in the construction of bridge widening is the influence of vibrations of the old bridge on the casting of wet joint concrete between the old and new bridges owing to the running traffic. Typically, the bridge is closed to traffic during the pouring of wet joint concrete, which negatively affects the existing transportation network. In this study, a newly developed microscopic traffic load modeling approach and the vehicle-bridge interaction theory are incorporated to develop a refined numerical framework for the analysis of random traffic-bridge coupled dynamics. This framework was used to investigate traffic-induced vibrations at the wet joint of a widened bridge. Based on an experimental study on the vibration resistance of wet joint concrete, traffic control strategies were proposed to ensure the construction performance of cast-in-site wet joint concrete under random traffic without interruption. The results show that the vibration displacement and frequency of the old bridge, estimated by the proposed framework, were comparable with those obtained from field measurements. Based on the target peak particle velocity and vibration amplitude of the wet joint concrete, it was found that traffic control measures, such as limiting vehicle gross weight and limiting traffic volume by closing an additional traffic lane, could ensure the construction performance of the wet joint concrete.

Experimental investigation of the influence of fibre content on the flexural performance of simply supported and continuous steel/UHPC composite slabs

  • The application of relatively low volumes of fibres in normal strength concrete has been shown to be of significant benefit when applied to composite slabs with profiled sheet decking. This paper reports on an experimental study aimed at quantifying further potential benefits that may arise from applying ultra-high performance fibre reinforced concrete. To assess performance six simply supported beams were tested under hogging and sagging loading configurations along with three two span continuous beams. Fibre contents are varied from 0% to 2% and changes in strength, deformation, crack width and moment redistribution are measured. At the serviceability limit state, it is shown that the addition of high fibre volumes can significantly enhance member stiffness and reduce crack widths in all beams. At the ultimate limit state it is observed that a transition from 0% to 1% fibres significantly increases strength but that there is a maximum fibre volume beyond which no further increases in strength are possible. Conversely, member ductility and moment redistribution are shown to be strongly proportional to fibre volume.

이산화티탄 광촉매의 효율적 적용을 위한 LEFC 블록 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Light Emotion Friendly Concrete Block for Efficient Application of Titan-oxide Photocatalyst)

  • 본 연구에서는 빛 감성친화형 콘크리트에 광촉매를 적용하여 대기질 및 실내공기질을 개선하기 위한 LEFC 블록을 개발하고자 하였다. LEFC에 광촉매를 적용하게 되면 자외선 입사면 반대편에서도 투과로 인한 자외선이 존재하여 광촉매가 반응함으로써 일반 건축 자재를 적용한 경우보다 광촉매 반응효율이 크게 상승한다. 따라서 광촉매를 LEFC에 적용하기 위해 슬럼프, J-ring, L-box 테스트를 통한 자기충전성능을 평가하여 최적 배합을 결정하였고, 압축 및 휨 강도 시험을 통해 역학성능을 평가하였다. 그리고 TiO2 분포도를 확인하기 위해 SEM과 EDS 분석을 실시하였다. ALC골재와 단열재 적용으로 광촉매 사용량을 줄이고 단위중량을 감소시키는 방안을 활용하여 광촉매 효율을 증가시키는 빛투과 콘크리트 블록을 제작하였고, 향후 건조수축 등의 문제점 개선 및 NOx 제거 실험을 통한 LEFC 블록 성능 평가를 진행하고자 한다.

전단철근과 강섬유로 보강된 초고강도 콘크리트 부재의 휨 및 전단 거동에 관한 연구 (Investigation on the Flexural and Shear Behavior of Fiber Reinforced UHSC Members Reinforced with Stirrups)

  • 본 연구에서는 강섬유의 혼입, 매트릭스의 압축강도, 전단철근과 전단경간비가 UHPFRC 휨재에 미치는 영향에 대해 총 10개의 실험체에 대한 실험을 통해 검토하였다. 실험결과 2%의 부피비로 강섬유가 혼입된 경우 파괴 패턴을 전단파괴에서 휨파괴로 바꿀 정도로 높은 전단강도 증진효과를 보유하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 강섬유는 낮은 전단경간비에서 압축스트럿의 파괴를 지연시키는 효과를 가진 것으로 나타났다. 실험 결과 강섬유의 혼입과 전단경간비의 변화에 따라 균열각이 45도보다 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 실험 결과를 UHPC 설계권고안들과 비교해 본 결과 프랑스의 설계권고안은 보수적으로 평가하였고 한국의 설계권고안은 휨 강도에 대해 다소 과대평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 전단강도에 대해서는 두 설계권고안 모두 보수적으로 평가하는 것으로 나타났다.

초고성능 콘크리트에 대한 Perfobond Rib 전단연결재 거동 평가 (Evaluation of Shear Strength of Perfobond Rib in Ultra High Performance Concrete)

  • 기존에 제안된 Perfobond rib connector의 강도평가식은 압축강도가 약 50 MPa 이하의 콘크리트 강도 범위에 대한 Push-out test의 결과로 유도된 것으로서, 압축강도 80 MPa 이상의 초고성능 콘크리트에 대한 전단 연결재 성능 평가를 위하여 Perfobond rib 연결재의 전단강도를 파악하기 위한 Push-out test를 수행하였다. Perfobond rib connector의 제작변수는 관통홀의 지름 및 개수이며, 강섬유가 혼입된 180 MPa의 콘크리와 강섬유를 혼입하지 않은 압축강도 80 MPa의 콘크리트를 적용하여 콘크리트 강도 변화에 대한 전단강도 변화를 검토하였다. 실험결과, 콘크리트 강도와 홀의 개수가 증가함 따라 전단강도가 증가하며, 다웰 효과에 의한 전단강도 증가율도 큰 것으로 나타났다. 기존에 다른 연구자들이 제안한 강도식으로 계산된 예측치와 비교한 결과, 실험값은 Oguejiofor & Hosain[2]이 제안한 강도식에 근접한 결과를 보였다.
