This letter offers a general framework representing the most effective strategies for implementing ubiquitous computing, given different levels of organizational information system capacity and business needs. The strategic grid offered here identifies promising movements which may potentially have a significant effect on the future development of ubiquitous computing.

New space concept is gaining attention by the change of information and digital technology. It is called a concept of ubiquitous space which is united physical space and digital space. A united into a new space which is called ubiquitous space. It is an emerging concept of new era which is already applied in some part of our daily life the advanced. The advanced technology can help people to realize ubiquitous space including u-health care. Through analysis of characteristics of u-health care space, I am going to suggest new concept of ubiquitous space which is called u-space. It can make change of conventional health care space to vitalized new space and help people's life to be affluent.

The emergence of ubiquitous autonomic computing and network environment will change the service architecture information system which will be a new application area in SCM/logistics systems. In this study we surveyed the technical trend map of ubiquitous and its application in SCM/logistics support system design. We described the evolutional model of ubiquitous computing community for SCM/logistics system. It is consisted of three view points; self-growing, autonomic, and context-aware, which will allow the decision makers to be benefited from web and mobile technology and are useful for proactive SCM/logistics support system. Finally, we suggested a cooperative research planning for the development ubiquitous system between the government research center, university, and industry research activities.

유비쿼터스는 기존의 도큐멘테이션과 사이버공간 그리고 첨단 디지털 기술이 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 네트워크환경에서 무선 단말기와 결합한 형태를 말한다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 환경은 도서관과 박물관의 기능과 역할을 더욱 확장시켜, 정보의 생산과 정보제공방식에 상당한 변화를 가져올 것으로 예측된다. 이 연구는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 네트워크 기술을 활용하여 변화되는 도서관과 박물관의 현상을 다각토로 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하며, 특히 정보이용자에 대한 서비스 및 관리경영 측면에서 발생하는 변화를 예측하고자 하였다.

Ubiquitous computing is a model of computing in which computer functions are integrated into everyday life, providing services and information in anywhere and anytime fashion. Augmented Reality is one of ubiquitous computing technologies to provide new paradigm utilized to interact between human and computer. By adding computer-generated non-visual information to real information and their interaction. user can get the improved and more knowledgeable information about real world. The purpose of this paper is the integration of AR and knowledge-base reasoning technology in ubiquitous computing. Through the introduced concept, it is enable to provide adequate knowledge in the process of ship design and manufacturing easily (Knowledge Everywhere). That is, this is a basic research to construct knowledge-based ubiquitous environment (KAD/KAM) in shipbuilding industry.

This paper presents and analyzes urban planning process to be adopted to create ubiquitous space in city environment, using City of Seoul's Digital Media Street Project as a case study. The Digital Media Street will become the main pedestrian thoroughfare in the Digital Media City (DMC) in Sangam area, planned to become the world's first ubiquitous environment in full urban scale. Ubiquitous space is reinterpreted from an urban planning perspective, and a new approach to planning such a space is introduced, including strategies to couple technology, space, and human activities. Methodology, role of different actors, planning process, and institutional arrangement are examined in turn, and this yields further agenda for improvements that can be made in planning ubiquitous spaces in the future.

디지털기술의 지속적인 발전은 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 구현시켜 왔고, 이로 인해 인간의 생활환경은 새로운 변화에 직면하게 되었다. 이러한 인간의 삶을 준비하기 위해서 다가올 미래의 예측은 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 현재 관련된 전문적 연구분야에서 대중적 매체에 이르기까지 미래 유비쿼터스 공간에 대한 예측이 수 없이 많이 나오고 있다. 그러나 이러한 유비쿼터스 공간을 이해하고 디자인에 적용하는데 있어서 디지털 기술의 동향에 대한 올바른 분석과 이해가 필요하다. 그리하여 본 연구에서는 새로운 시각에서의 디지털 기술의 동향분석을 통해서 유비궈터스 공간의 생성을 이해하고 그 사례를 조사하고 분석하여 유비쿼터스 공간의 미래를 예측하고자 한다. 우선 물리적 공간에서 다양한 유형의 정보를 원활히 교류하는 주체로서 인간, 사물, 환경을 기본요소로 설정하고 디지털기술의 동향을 분석한다. 인간중심의 관점에서는 상호작용성과 인터페이스를 주제로 그 배경과 발전 동향을, 사물중심 관점에서는 라디오에서 로봇까지 제품의 진화를, 환경중심 관점에서는 상황인지, 내재성, 통합연결성을 주제로 분석을 전개하였다. 그리고, 이를 적용하여 유비궈터스 공간의 미래를 예측하고 컨셉을 생성하는 연구들의 유형을 실험적 연구, 산업적 연구, 공공적 연구로 분류, 분석하여 유비궈터스 공간의 미래를 예측하여 보았다. 본 연구는 디지털 기술의 동향에 대한 이해와 이에 근거한 유비궈터스 공간 연구 사례들의 체계적인 분석으로서 디자이너들의 컨셉 생성과 발전에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

Today, ubiquitous technology (e.g. computers or networked devices pervade everywhere we are) has enlarged by great advancement of information and communication technologies. If ubiquitous technologies is applied to, innovation of spatial information technology is expected. traditional spatial information technologies such as survey, GIS, GPS, LBS, and RS and ubiquitous technology gradual1y have been converged. The aim of this study is to create shared visions in spatial information technologies by scenario based roadmapping. So, we surveyed the state of the art in main spatial information technologies, market status and patent map. Consequently, prospects of spatial information technologies is suggested. The aim of 1st and 2nd NGIS project focused on map supplier was to develop digital map(e.g. framework data, various thematic map). As a result, the best technology of digital mapping is achieved in the world. But, there is not enough to develop GIS and LBS solution. Current market in GIS S/W and Telematics is about 384billon won and 250billion won. a patent is applied in the order, like a USA(1571case, 47%), Japan(883case, 26%), EU(478case, 14%), Korea(446case, 13%). In the future, spatial information technology fused on ubiquitous technology will be focused on user's demand and developing convenience context. The developing target will be realtime monitoring of 3D spatial data based on high resolution coordinate system, sharing and supplying multi-sensor data considered users demand, location service by ubiquitous technologies.

최근 IT 분야에서 관심사는 유비쿼터스 기술의 도입을 통해 사회, 경제전반의 효율화를 추구하기 위한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이 가운데 본 연구에서는 서비스 분야의 하나인 금융기관의 고객 서비스 지원기술 개발과 관련해서 e-CRM에 신기술 개념인 유비쿼터스 기술 접목을 통해 on-line상에서 진행되어 오던 고객 서비스를 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 기술개발 개념을 제시하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to introduce ubiquitous home services for the aged. In comparison with general ubiquitous homes, ubiquitous homes for the aged have two major characteristics. First, the service contents should be expanded and strengthened. Second, the services should be customized to each individuals. The primary objective of a ubiquitous home for the aged is health care. The three affordances for this objective are 1)prevention of sickness and reducing the speed of aging process, 2)technical assistance for disability, 3)recovering and enhancing the physical and cognitive function. For this purpose this paper analyses the characteristics of the aged and current ubiquitous technology and ubiquitous home service, thus providing an outline for ubiquitous services necessary for aged people.
