  • The availability of powerful and sensor-enabled mobile and Internet-connected devices have enabled the advent of the ubiquitous sensor network (USN) paradigm. USN provides various types of solutions to the general public in multiple sectors, including environmental monitoring, entertainment, transportation, security, and healthcare. Here, we explore and compare the features of wireless sensor networks and USN. Based on our extensive study, we classify the security- and privacy-related challenges of USNs. We identify and discuss solutions available to address these challenges. Finally, we briefly discuss open challenges for designing more secure and privacy-preserving approaches in next-generation USNs.

  • The key of USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology is low power wireless communication technology and proper resource allocation technology for efficient routing. The distinguished resource allocation method is needed for efficient routing in sensor network. To solve this problems, we propose an algorithm that can be adopted in USN with making up for weak points of PQ and WRR in this paper. The proposed algorithm produces the control discipline by the fuzzy theory to dynamically assign the weight of WRR scheduler with checking the Queue status of each class in sensor network. From simulation results, the proposed algorithm improves the packet loss rate of the EF class traffic to 6.5% by comparison with WRR scheduling method and that of the AF4 class traffic to 45% by comparison with PQ scheduling method.

  • In Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN), the sensor nodes are required to consume their energy evenly to prolong the lifetime of the entire sensor network because of the limited energy of the sensor node. AODV which is applied to USN as routing protocol selects route according to only the shortest distance of the minimum hop count but regardless of the remaining battery power for each node. Thus it comes to ill-balanced power consumption seriously. In this paper, a scheme that controls packet relay quantity of each sensor node adaptively to prevent traffic overhead at a certain node and to increase the entire network lifetime is proposed. As it is analyzed by simulations, the proposed scheme enhances USN lifetime by balancing each sensor node's packet relay quantity.

  • Abilities of sensing and communication are vested in private things of actual space, therefore, Ubiquitous Computing which is offered various services with human approach will be common in the future society. For the realization of this Ubiquitous Service requires some technique such as situations of environment and recognition of locations by the Sensor Network, then sensor data have to be transferred to an application service after processes. However, there are some hindrances for communication between an application service and sensor data, these are that accessibility of data usefulness and problems of Platform and protocol in each sensors. In this paper, suggest a reference model that is independent from platform and implementation language, for USN application service with using standardized protocol.

  • In this paper, We suggest electricity power management system which makes a good efficient and minimize wasteness of electricity power. We made electricity power management system based USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) for industries, factories, public offices and so on, with optimized system. Simply, we can measure and control electricity power as we plug it outlets. This system can monitor and control electricity power, organizing network of PLC(Power Line Communication) and TCP/IP with the sensor for electricity power. Through the acquisition data, this proposed system can manage and save the electricity power efficiently and also we can connect this system to server, anytime, anywhere with Android phone.

  • USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) environment that provides the service measured from sensors in real-time the information is delivered to application service. However, domestic service, application service provider environment between providers and users, most of the research are on the service platform architecture, and process the information detected by sensors between the providers of standard services platform architecture, which is a very weak level. In this paper, we proposed new service architecture though analysis of the OGC SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) with standards and research analysis of domestic standards. And we designed and implemented to each component of provider side.

  • This paper has researched water supply facilities management using real-time water utility monitoring system based on USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) which is consisted of wireless sensors transferring waterworks facilities md treatment information about a valve-room and flowmeter-room of water supply installation. In the manholes, it was installed with flowmeter, pressure sensors, vibration sensors, Co-sensors, and hydro-thermograph sensors. These measurement values which are received by PDA are used for facilities operation on the spot safely and conveniently. It has also provided safe installation management via CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) network which transfers data to remote servers to monitoring at a distance place. With safety management system of water supply facilities on USN technology convenience and safety is increased in real situation, and it is expected that we can supply clean water to people as much safer and more effective water supply installation management.

  • The recent development of USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology has broadened its applications to many fields of industry. The USN technology enables the system to monitor and control the status of distributed sensor nodes based on the low-powered communications. Applying the USN in the train control domain, the operational efficiency can be enhanced, where the reliability and the safety of the system are the key challenges. This paper suggests the system design for evaluating and improving the reliability and safety of the gateway, which is a USN component that manages the radio network among the sensors and collects the information from them. For this purpose, the reliability and the level of safety integrity of a general gateway have been predicted quantitatively and the supplementary design has been proposed for the selected week points. The verification on the reliability and the safety of the improved gateway according to the related standards has been followed. With the results of the study, the applicability of USN gateway for train control systems has been reviewed.

  • A sow has a characteristic changing in its temperature. It is a suitable time that is decreasing after sow's body temperature increased to the highest point. We observe the variation of temperature through USN(Ubiqutous Sensor Network) system using wireless sensor inserted in the womb. The wireless sensor send massage to user's server and its server send SMS massage to user's cell phone. We contribute to user's income increase as it notice to suitable fecundation.
