  • 본 연구는 u-Campus 환경에서 교수능력(teaching skill)을 향상시키기 위한 평가시스템을 설계하고 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 수업효율성과 교수평가에 관한 이론을 고찰하고, 선행 프로그램들을 분석하여 시스템에 포함되어야 할 효율적인 수업행동 평가요소를 추출하였다. 추출된 평가요소를 바탕으로 u-Campus 환경에서 교수능력(teaching skill)을 향상을 위한 요소 즉, 교수-학습활동, 교수-학습활동 평가, 포트폴리오 활용 및 공유, 유비쿼터스 기술, 데이터베이스 영역을 반영하여 시스템을 설계하고 프로토타입(proto type)을 개발하였다. 그리고 이러한 프로토타입(proto type)의 개발은 기존의 평가 방법과 달리 교수 자신의 평가에서 시작하여 본인의 의지에 따라 영역을 넓히면서 평가에 대한 부담을 덜며 교수능력(teaching skill)을 향상시킬 수 있고, u-Campus 환경에서 평가가 어떠한 과정과 방법으로 이루어져야 하는지에 대한 안내를 제공할 것이다. 본 연구가 제시한 u-Campus 환경의 교수능력(teaching skill) 향상을 위한 평가시스템은 교수자의 발전은 물론 대학교육의 질적인 발전에 도움이 될 것이다.

  • The purpose of this research is to design and develop an evaluation system with a view to improving teaching skills in the u-Campus environment. To achieve the purpose, this research analyzed various theories on the effectiveness of teaching and teaching evaluation system, extracting several evaluation factors which are to be included in the system. Based on these evaluation factors, this research developed a prototype by reflecting teaching assessment, coaching, self-reflection, portfolio, supervisor selection, user authority in sharing the portfolio and ubiquitous technology. This prototype differs from the existing evaluation methods in that it can enlarge the extent of supervisors other than professors according to their own selecting and can reduce the burden of assessment task, thus improve their teaching skills. This teaching evaluation system using portfolio and ubiquitous technology will be an innovative alternative to conventional assessment methods and will be of great help to qualitative progress in higher level education.

A Study on the Rural Youth Programs of Foreign Countries (외국의 농촌청소년 개발사업의 현황과 시사점)

  • The purposes of this study were to review the rural youth programs of selected foreign countries and to draw some implications to the rural youth programs in Korea. The youth development programs reviewed were 4-H Youth Development Program of U.S.A, Rural Youth Information Service of Australia, Rural Youth Job Strategy of Canada, The Urban-Rural Youth Program of U.S.A, and Expert Consultation on Extension Rural Youth Programmes and Sustainable Development of FAO. After reviewing the rural youth programs of selected foreign countries, the authors suggested the following implications for further development of rural youth programs in Korea; 1. The target group of rural youth programs should include urban youth as well as rural youth, and the programs should be focused on enlarging their awareness of the rural community and agriculture. 2. Rural youth programs should be extended beyond agricultural sectors, such as leadership, career development, leisure activity, and cultural life. 3. We should develop some programs to support academic achievement, career development, employment, cultural needs including some strategies to prevent problematic behaviors of rural youth. 4. Rural youth should be supported more opportunities to join the community life to experience and learn various life skills through active participation such as interpersonal skill, leadership skill, and problem-solving skill.

The Relationship among Knowledge, Attitudes, Skill, Self-efficacy, and Job Satisfaction of Healthcare Managers (건강관리사의 지식, 태도, 기술, 자기효능감과 직무만족)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the differences and relationships among knowledge, attitudes, skill, self-efficacy (SE), and Job satisfaction (JS) of healthcare managers (HMs) participated in the 4 kinds of continuing education. Methods: The subjects were 152 HMs. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, and partial correlation. Results: There were significant differences in knowledge according to the amount of healthcare management experience (HME) and the training program level (TPL); in the attitudes according to gender, age, and the TPL; in the skill according to the amount of HME and the TPL; and in SE according to gender and the TPL. There was no significant difference in JS according to general characteristics. There were significant positive correlations among knowledge, attitudes, skill, SE, and JS. Conclusion: The TPL was identified as a significant common variable that affects all variables apart from JS. According to these results, knowledge, attitudes, skill, and SE are considered as intrapersonal constructs, whereas JS is considered as an organizational construct. Therefore, in order to improve the quality of healthcare management, organizational strategy to enhance job satisfaction of HMs are recommended.

The Effects of the Science Process Skill and Scientific Attitudes by multiple-Intelligence (다중지능을 활용한 학습이 학생들의 과학탐구능력 및 과학적 태도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of higher grades in elementary the science process skill and scientific attitudes by multiple-intelligence. To verify research problem, the subject of this study were sixth-grade students selected from two classes of an elementary school located in U1san : the search group is composed of twenty-nine students who were participated in multiple-Intelligence situation, and the other is composed of thirty-two students(comparison group) who were participated in teacher map based learning situation. During six weeks, the multiple-Intelligence was executed in th search group while the teacher map based instruction in comparison group Post-test showed following results: First, the search group showed a significant improvement in the science process skill compared th the comparison group. Second, the search group did not showed a significant improvement in the scientific attitudes compared th the comparison group. In conclusion, multiple-Intelligence teaching model was more effective than the teacher map based teaching model on science process skill. However, since the study has a limit on an object of the study and the applied curriculum, the additional studies need to be conducted with an extended comparative group and curriculum.

  • Brain drain of scientists and technologists to the United States from other countries is a phenomenal issue due to the potential developmental impacts it could have on sending countries. Immigration policies undoubtedly play the major part to shape the human resource outcomes. There has been a common sense explanation to the brain drain trend, which states that the lower English language requirements in the scientific and technology jobs compared to other high skill brain drain jobs offer immigrants more favorable employment opportunities. These and other language related variables are used with standard human capital model variables to assess the validity of the common sense proposition.

  • Purpose: This study was performed to identify in nursing students the effects of simulation practice for hemorrhagic patients. Methods: Subjects were sophomore nursing students in Daegu (n=133). A self describing performance questionnaire which included knowledge, skill and attitude towards bleeding patients was given. Consent was received from students. The data was analyzed by ANOVA with Scheffe's test and Mann-Whitney U test using the SPSS 12.0 Program. Result: Subjective and objective knowledge and skill showed significant improvement in the control group, especially in assessment, correct medication administration, explaination of NPO and preparing the crash cart for a cardiac arrest. Objective knowledge and skill was significantly higher in the control group although attitude was not. Conclusion: Simulation practice was an effective education method for improving knowledge, skill and attitude in nursing students.

  • The Journal of Digital Policy & Management. This space is for the abstract of your study in English. In this paper, we propose a u-convergence Tourist Information 3.0 System using Flow Theory. It generates a sense of u-challenge and u-skills to maximize the enjoyment of tourists is u-convergence Tourist Information 3.0. This is a challenge to good sense and adjust the rating of the Convergence Contents information quality(CCIQ) analysis to maximize the enjoyment of tourists. Convergence Contents information quality(CCIQ) of the conductive continuity of the content closed antecedents u-conductive sense, the tourist synchronization adequacy may generate data that can be analyzed. Content Information Quality of rating is the leading factor in the ability of the u-skill mastery of tourists, can generate data availability. The result is to create a meta-model is referred to as content information to reach the best quality maximize enjoyment. Design a sense of u-challenge the skill of the information quality of the tourist information content has the advantage of being able to identify the data formation has the pleasure of tourists. By applying to future national competent standard it is expected to maximize the enjoyment of the job.
