This thesis examines the problems faced in the electronic trade platform for which improvements are necessary, and suggests various ways of overcoming those problems. Practical implications regarding the advancement of Korea's u-TradeHub system are as follows. First, from the technical and legal aspects, to make up for a lack of support systems for spread of users, it is required to promote customized advertising strategies through Ministry of Knowledge Economy and establish a global certification system. Second, document standardization and digitalization should be achieved in advance to make the documents distributed through the e-Trade platform in a seamless manner. Furthermore, an ongoing global network development project should be promoted through the e-Trade platform to achieve standardization. Third, from the operational aspect, it is important to maintain an integrated and systematic relationship with related organizations. Because vertical integration among logistics service providers and GSCM are enabled through the e-Trade platform, it is necessary to standardize global network-based linkage and operating systems.

A WDM/SCM multiple access protocol suitable for optical double star networks is proposed. A node-grouping scheme is employed in the protocol, which is accomplished by connecting some nodes through passive star sub-hubs forming a group. The resulting multiple groups in a network are then connected through a central passive star hub resulting in a passive double star network. Each group is pre-assigned a WDM channel as its home channel, and SCM channels are used to identify the packet reception at each node. [n the proposed protocol, the average packet delay is remarkably reduced since the frame consists of the number of groups rather than the number of network nodes. Furthermore, additional reduction of the average packet delay is achieved by limiting the propagation paths of control packets to the roundtrip between source nodes and sub-hub using a double star network. It is shown in the performance evaluations using analytic and simulation model that the proposed protocol has the advantages of the higher channel utilization and excellent network throughput and average packet delay characteristic.

With a rapid growth of domestic industry in korea, now about 25,000 kinds of chemicals are being distributed, and it has been known that just about 15% of them has toxic substances. Recently, South Koreans have an anxiety about the stability and accidents of chemicals because chemical accidents like Gumi hydrofluoric acid accident have occurred. The U.S. has adopted the systems like EPCRA (Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act), TRI (Toxic Release Inventory) and TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act), and is also managing the hazardous chemicals by providing the information about them to its people and site workers. Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare also has adopted J-CHECK system and is implementing it to let Japanese people know the information of safety of chemicals about REACH. However, the Korean government has a difficult situation to mediate the different idea with the Korean industry to make lower statute of Pre-legislation registration & evaluation of chemicals that will be implemented and Chemical Material Control Association that is being implemented. Especially city and country areas located in the industrial areas need political improvement focusing on vulnerable area through the check about current situation of hazardous chemicals of jurisdiction and management method, but the information about the management situation of small scale work places is insufficient. Therefore this study set up the urgent management area in Ansan Smart Hub through NFPA code according to the types of accident and dander characteristics of each chemical being used in the companies that have less than 50 workers and deal with chemicals located in Ansan Smart Hub in Gyeonggi-do.

We proposed the concatenation of logistics' Information to constructing the intelligent logistics city that is to manage efficiently cargo distribution as providing at real-time information of cargo location trace and management through the Telematics/RFID. Case of the Incheon of the "Air Logistics Hub", this area is on an increasing trend on the quantity of cargo transport of the Air & Sea cargo system until 2006. As intelligent project of the Air's and the Sea's field is independently developed at each area, it is a problem on the concatenation of logistics' information such as freight location trace and management, operation management and route information of cargo vehicles. Therefore, we propose the advanced transport service model for the concatenating smoothly of Air & Sea cargo system. In this paper, we only manage the model of Air & Sea cargo system of the advance logistics city.

Nowadays hospitals have been improving their job performances through informatization and also establishing an advanced, integrated medical information system through their manager's decision making support system in order to play roles as a hub hospital providing high quality medical services integrated with ICT technology. This study connects the OCS system and HIS system to the integrated medical information system to design an optimized, customized mobile health care and medical treatment environment and also investigates the systematic medical system that can perform patients' cure and medical treatment promptly and accurately in order to maximize convenience of treatment by inquiring into patients' information and information of medical treatment promptly.

In order to implement e-trade infrastructure through the radical innovation of trade process, e-trade platform which is called 'uTradehub' has been developed for three years. After pilot operation of this platform in 2007, the formal service of e-trade such as logistics, customs and foreign exchanges had been provided in 2008. However, the usage of e-Trade platform is not the level of users' satisfaction because trade-related communities have not actively participated into e-trade platform and several functions with users requirements are necessary to develop additionally. In this regard, there are strong demands to suggest some strategies for application and usage proliferation of e-trade platform. Therefore, this paper would like to evaluate the current status of e-trade platform service and usage by the theoretical consideration of preceding researches and practical analysis of statistical data. Then, it will explore several service improvement ideas in terms of system supplementation and integration, electronic documents standardization, radical change of using fee, global connection, user oriented education and advertisement.

Cell phenotypes are determined by groups of functionally related genes. Microarray profiling of gene expression provides us response of cellular state to its perturbation. Several methods for uncovering a cellular network show reliable network reconstruction. In this study, we present reconstruction of genetic regulatory network of inflammation bowel disease in human peripheral blood mononuclear cell. The microarray based on Affymetrix Gene Chip Human Genome U133 Array Set HG-U133A is processed and applied network reconstruction algorithm, ARACNe. As a result, we will show that inferred network composed of 450 nodes and 2017 edges is roughly scale-free network and hierarchical organization. The major hub, CCNL2 (cyclin A2), in inferred network is shown to be associated with inflammatory function as well as apoptotic function.

The e-Trade environment has enabled the complex trade processes to be automated using e-Trade information systems, which had been manually processed through many trade-related parties in the past. Korea has completed the development of the most advanced e-Trade platform called "u-Trade Hub," which can process automatically all the trade-related activities from marketing to payment. It is anticipated for the world trade environment to have more FTAs throughout the world and this will complicate the trade processes more and more in the future. This means the constant cost-bearing updates of the e-Trade environment to adapt the process changes brought by new FTAs with other countries. In this paper, we propose the systematic approach to easily as well as less costly adapt the possible trade process changes resulted from the future FTAs by adopting a rule base management system. The prototype system to test the applicability of the proposed approach is developed using Win-Prolog 4.8 environment.

This study aims to derive practical suggestions to apply application methods by auxiliary costs, especially application of logistics and customs clearance areas in order to establish EPS support system of auxiliary cost occurred from export/import. For the propose, this study has analyzed types and situation of auxiliary costs, application method by auxiliary costs, payment situation of logistics auxiliary costs and clearance auxiliary costs and suggested the relevant problems and their application methods. Especially, in case of logistics auxiliary costs through connection to the attached general documents required for negotiation by reflecting characteristics of B2B transactions. In addition, it has suggested that those services by the said system should be conveniently used commonly by the export companies and logistics companies through provision of various payment measures, support of foreign currency payment, etc. and security of reliability/system stability, etc. for the compatible payment with other systems as the prerequisite for the successful settlement of the auxiliary costs EPS. It is expected that satisfaction of the uTradeHub users such as export/import companies and logistics companies will be increased, user-oriented customized information services such as raw cost prediction service through calculation of auxiliary costs could be available in the future and efficiency of work processes related to auxiliary costs will be increased, by providing the EPS through various single window based payment measures through establishment of the export/import auxiliary costs payment system.

Korea has accomplished the establishment of the National Single Window for Paperless Trade. Since 1991, it has developed Trade Automation Service System based on EDI technology. In 2003, Korean government and private sectors jointly began to set up National Paperless Trade Service( e-Trade Service) as one of the e-government projects. In 2008, they commenced the uTradeHub Service which was equipped with Internet based e-B/L and e-Nego service systems for the first time in the world To facilitate the service Korea amended its e-Trade facilitation Act and Law by 2007. At the end of 2011, Korea historically recorded its trade volume of 1 trillion US dollars and joined '$1 trillion trade club' as the 9the member country since the country had started international trade less than five decades ago. A rolling out of the e-B/L and e-Nego service will 'ally reduce the transaction costs of trading businesses and accelerate the activation e-trade services. The purposes of the study are to examine 'e-B/L Korea' service and its facilitation strategies as well as identify obstacles to utilize the 'e-B/L Korea' service. The paper reviewed and analyzed Korea's Paperless trade system and distinctive characteristics of the 'e-B/L Korea Service. Parts of the fOWld distinctive characteristics of the Korea's e-B/L service are as follows; It is well equiped with IT and legal system. It also has more that 30,000 potential users who are already uTradeHub service users. The paper indicated several weaknesses of the current system such as global KPI issues, circulation of the electronic documents not only in the domestic market but also among economies, development of the electronic Bill of Exchange. As resolution measures, the paper recommended the introduction of mutual recognition system of PKI among trade partner counties, setting up e-trade solution for small and medium companies, and special attention to raise users' awareness of the e-B/L service.
