Korean businesses engaging in transactions with U.S. entities are increasingly favoring arbitration clauses to address unexpected disputes. How best ought the parties' arbitration contractual terms be drafted to avoid lengthy, protracted and expensive legal disputes? Authors examine the public policy favoring arbitration through the U.S. Federal Arbitration Act. Korean litigants seeking a "Motion to Compel Arbitration" rely on arbitration clauses designed to address four factors U.S. courts use to evaluate the enforceability of arbitration contract clauses. What role does U.S. state court jurisdiction hinder or help Korean businesses contracting with U.S. business entities located within certain boundaries? What is the effect of an arbitration clause that designates the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board in Seoul to arbitrate? All cases analyzed entail Korean business entities. Eleven cases demonstrate the results of seeking motions to compel arbitration in U.S. courts. Three cases illustrate motions to compel arbitration drafted to use the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board in Seoul. The results provide Korean businesses and legal practitioners insight into addressing the specific goals of including contractual arbitration clauses to enhance their international commercial interests in the United States.

The U.S.-Korea fisheries relationship was concluded on the legal basis of Korea as a distant-water fishing nation and U.S. as a coastal state, and aiming effective conservation, management and rational utilization of the marine living resources. The existing two legal problems on U.S.-Korea fisheries relationship are the pelagic driftnet fishing on the high seas and trawl fishing in the Bering Sea. The results and countermeasure discussed on the positive legal systems of both countries which simultaneously rationalize the conflicting standpoints each other are as follows : 1. For the sake of rational conservation and utilization of the high seas fishery resources, an international organization composing of all the coastal states and fishing nations concerned must be established, and it shall be shall be more desirable to manage the resources by the international joint control system than by the bilateral agreements between the countries concerned. 2. The U.S.-Korea Fisheries Agreement being based on the MFCMA was concluded by mutual understanding between both countries. Accordingly, no protest exists against legal status of the Agreement because it has acted as a customary norm in keeping fisheries relationship between both countries within the U.S. EEZ. 3. The existing fisheries legislative system of Korea is insufficient to support development of the industry satisfactorily. Therefore a special legislation, for example $\ulcorner$Distant-water Fishery Promotion Act$\lrcorner$, is required. And a perfect legal system for effective conservation and management of fishery resources must be established.

이 논문은 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 디스플레이와 디스플레이를 시청하는 개인 단말을 가진 사용자간의 연결 완전성(Seamlessness)을 구현할 수 있는 디스플레이 모델을 제안한다. 기존의 디스플레이가 사람의 시청각에만 호소하는 것과는 달리, U-Display는 디스플레이에 컨텐트를 표시함과 동시에 해당 컨텐트의 링크를 개인 단말을 휴대한 사용자에게 제공함에 따라 디스플레이 및 디스플레이 사용자간의 seamless한 정보 전달이 가능해진다. 논문은 U-Display의 정의와 유비쿼터스 기술을 이용한 디스플레이 비즈니스 모델의 제안 및 분석을 담고 있다.

U-City의 구현을 위해서는 다양한 분야의 u-Service를 필요로 한다. 각 지자체들이 경쟁적으로 U-City 건설 및 u-Service 발굴을 추진하고 있으며 여러 연구들을 통해 그 경제적 파급효과도 클 것으로 기대된다. 이에 정부도 다양한 정책 및 시책을 내놓고 있다. 하지만, U-City 서비스 관련 많은 연구들은 기술 중심으로 접근하고 있으며, 복잡하고 다원적인 U-City 환경을 명확히 반영하고 있지 못하다. 이러한 현상은 U-City를 기획함에 있어서 미래의 환경변화를 예측하기 어려운 상황에 기인한 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 불투명한 U-City 방향성을 가시화하기 위하여 시나리오 경영기법을 적용하였다. 그 과정에서 U-City 전문가들과 인터뷰 및 설문조사를 시행하여 U-City 구축에 있어서의 불투명성을 확인 하였다. 시나리오 적용 타당성을 살펴보기 위해서 'u-수질 모니터링 서비스를 적용하여 설명하였다. 여러 논의를 거친 후, 유관기관과의 상호연계 서비스, 지자체간 상호연계 서비스 등 두 가지의 시나리오를 개발하여 제시하였다. 제시된 시나리오를 바탕으로 U-City 서비스 전략을 제안한다. 본 연구를 통해 U-City 개발 관련자들은 U-City의 특정을 예측하고 서비스 시나리오를 개발하는 프레임워크의 기초로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Since the emergence of the Internet, electronic business (e-business) has become one of the most widely investigated issues. E-business is considered to have the potential of generating considerable new values and the capability to transform the rules of competition in unprecedented ways. This study aim to suggest a approach for new business idea creation. This is based on the analysis and manipulation of business method patents. For this end, our research is performed in the following ways. First, business keywords are extracted from business method patents. Second, business model framework which is used to structuralize the business is suggested based on the literature survey. Third, the business keywords are classified into the business model framework. Forth, existing business model is expressed based on the suggested framework. Finally, new business idea is created from the existing business model by adding, subtracting, or substituting the business keywords.

최근 대규모 비즈니스 시스템을 효율적으로 운영하고 자동화하기 위해 기법으로 BPM과 SOA의 융합이 제안되고 있으며 운영데이터로부터 매일 의미 있는 정보를 생성할 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 BPM-SOA 융합을 통해 비즈니스 프로세스 자동화 방법론을 제시하고 실제 프로젝트 관리 비즈니스 프로세스를 구현하여 검증한다. BPM-SOA 융합은 약 결합된 시스템 구조를 통해 향상된 확장성과 생산성을 제공하며 잦은 변경과 프로세스 재사용에도 장점이 있다. 그 다음, 기존 시스템에 새로운 비즈니스 프로세스가 추가될 때 시스템의 확장성을 분석한다. 마지막으로 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 SAP 비즈니스 인텔리젼스를 이용하여 BPM에서 생성된 데이터를 분석한다. 비즈니스 인텔리젼스는 의사결정에 유용한 정보를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 비즈니스 프로세스 최적화 기회를 제공한다.

The word of U-City means next generation information city. U-City mixes both high technology information infrastructure and ubiquitous information in city to improve easy life in city, quality of life, personal security in city life, and well-fare service and to make business in new area. To provide information and joy of life to citizen in U-city, we will design U-Booth among IT infrastructure solutions. In this article, we will study designing city-type U-Booth and summarize designing point of U-Booth in terms of the specific place. At last, we want to say about the role of U-Booth in U-city. In this article, we want to study designing point of U-Booth and important parts in terms of the specific place of U-Booth.
