모바일 복합 단말기 사용자 만족: 기대-불일치 접근 (User Satisfaction of Mobile Convergence Device: The Expectation and Disconfirmation Approach)

  • Purpose - Mobile devices, especially mobile terminals capable of telecommunication and wireless connectivity, are leading the advancements in consumer electronics. Digital convergence drives the functions of various devices, such as cellular phones, MP3 players, personal digital assistants, and gaming, into a single device. This trend would continue and applications such as digital audio and video streaming (including personalized content delivery mechanisms) would soon be on a handheld device. As customers want mobile convergence devices, manufacturers are driving new initiatives in the emerging mobile device market. Given the roles played by device design and service content in user satisfaction of a mobile convergence device, this study focuses on identifying and measuring the constructs for the process by which user satisfaction is achieved. This study synthesizes the expectation-disconfirmation paradigm with empirical theories in user satisfaction. Device and service levels are separated, and nine key constructs for user satisfaction of mobile convergence devices are proposed. Insight into this process could help web-based businesses to improve user satisfaction, thus enhancing the effectiveness of e-commerce for sellers and buyers. Research design, data, methodology - This study draws on three users of mobile convergence devices as examples. To test there search model and hypotheses, survey questionnaires were sent to 607 mobile device users. Mobile device users were initially identified from several members, and subjects were randomly drawn. Data from 577 survey responses were finally analyzed. The unit of measurement and analysis in this research study is at a personal level. Results - The measurements for the constructs were developed and tested in a two-phase study. In the first phase, the device and service dimensions were identified, and instruments for measuring them were developed and tested. In the second phase, using the salient dimensions of the device and service as the formulating first-order factors, instruments were developed and empirically tested to measure satisfaction of the device and service. In measuring satisfaction of mobile convergence devices, the critical tasks are to identify the key constructs of such user satisfaction and to develop validated instruments to measure them. Hence, the results of this study have immediate implications for businesses and for research in user satisfaction of mobile convergence devices. Conclusions - This study provides reliable instruments for operationalizing key constructs in the analysis of user satisfaction of mobile convergence devices within the expectation-disconfirmation paradigm. Hence, convergence device makers will be able to examine whether their websites meet their customers' expectations by examining the device aspect of the mobile convergence device customers, and the service aspect expectations and disconfirmation. Moreover, the introduction of expectation and disconfirmation constructs brings the marketing aspect of convergence devices into focus for such retailers, an aspect crucial to the effective design of websites for online businesses. In addition,this study provides the metrics required to initiate future studies on user satisfaction of mobile convergence devices.

국내 7대 광역시 산림 연결성 비교 분석 (Comparing Connectivity in Forest Networks of Seven Metropolitan Cities of South Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 그래프 이론을 적용하여 7대 광역시의 산림 연결성을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 다중공간규모의 전파 거리(100m~20km)에서 광역시별 산림 연결망의 전체 연결성을 평가하고, 소규모 산림(<10ha)이 연결성에 기여하는 정도를 측정하였다. 연구결과, 대구와 대전, 울산은 연결성이 높은 상위지역으로, 광주와 부산, 서울, 인천은 연결성이 낮은 하위지역으로 크게 양분화 되는 경향을 나타냈다. 소규모 산림들은 면적이 큰 산림들을 연결시키는 징검다리로서 특히 하위지역의 연결성을 크게 향상시키는 역할을 하였다. 생물 다양성에 중요한 연결성 보전을 위해서 상위지역에서는 잘 연결된 대규모 산림지역을 주요 거점으로 보전해야 한다. 하위지역에서는 우선적으로 연결성 유지에 중요한 소규모 산림들의 보전이 필요하다. 또한 연결성이 취약한 곳에 새로운 산림녹지를 조성해주는 전략이 요구된다.

  • 그 동안 문화정보에 관한 연구는 개별 문화정보가 중심을 이루어 왔으며, 그 연구내용은 종이지도를 이용한 권역 설정에 그 초점이 맞추어 졌다고 볼 수 있다. 그 결과 극히 제한적인 계량적 공간분석과 지도상에 보이는 직감적인 분석은 복잡하고 방대한 문화자료를 체계적이고 과학적으로 정리하고 활용하는데 한계가 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하는 방안으로 지역문화정보에 대한 효율적 관리체계의 구축과 문화정보의 시공간적 역동성을 총체적으로 분석할 수 있는 GIS의 도입은 필수 불가결하다. 특히 오늘날 고도 정보산업에 의해 문화 전달속도가 빨라지고 가치가 다변화된 사회구조에서는 편방향의 정보제공이 아닌 양방향 정보제공이 중시되고 있다. WebGIS에 기반을 둔 지역문화정보시스템은 사용자가 인터넷을 이용하여 다양한 문화정보에 대한 시 공간적인 분석과 통계적 분석을 가능하게 됨으로서 WebGIS를 이용한 호남문화정보시스템은 지역정보에 대한 포괄적인 접근이 용이할 뿐만 아니라 문화 개별요소간의 통계 분석을 통한 새로운 정보의 창출과 지역 간 비교 연구에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.

진단법의 임상시험연구와 진단정확도 (Clinical Trials and Accuracy of Diagnostic Tests)

  • 대부분의 의사들은 임상시험을 치료약제개발 후 의료현장에서 사용하기 위해 진행되는 과정으로 생각할 것이다. 실험실에서 개발된 기술이 진단검사로써 도입되기 위해서는 치료약제의 경우와 유사한 임상시험 과정을 거쳐 그 안정성과 유효성에 대한 검증을 필요로 한다. 치료약제의 효과검증에서 가장 우수한 근거를 얻을 수 있는 연구방법은 무작위대조연구 방법이지만, 이를 검체진단검사에 그대로 적용하기는 어렵다. 검체진단검사의 경우 비교연구가 진단정확도의 검증을 위해 현실적으로 사용할 수 있는 연구방법이지만 대상군의 모집 방법과 구분 방법, 질환대상자의 질환 심각도, 참고표준의 선택과 적용, 눈가림 여부 등 여러 요인들이 진단정확도 지표에 직접적인 영향을 주기 때문에, 좋은 근거수준의 연구결과를 얻기 위해서는 이러한 요소들을 고려한 잘 고안된 연구디자인이 중요하다. 또한 검체진단검사는 치료약제의 경우와 달리 결과를 얻기 위한 검사과정이 사용자인 일선 검사실에 의해 계속 생산되어야 하고, 검사의 개발과 발전의 속도가 빠르며, 일선검사실이 최종사용자이자 개발자인 경우가 흔하다는 특성이 있다. 저자들은 이러한 검사의 특성을 고려하여 검사법 자체의 수행능력에 대한 검증으로부터 검사법 성능평가를 위한 질환확진군과 정상군에 대한 비교연구, 일련의 질환의심자 대상의 진단정확도 평가와 임상 효과성 평가, 도입 후 일상감시로 이어지는 임상시험의 진행단계를 제안하고자 한다.

공급사슬 내에서 품질지향적 기업문화가 지속가능경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Impact of Quality Oriented Corporate Culture on Sustainability Management Performances)

  • Purpose - Environmental issues, climatic changes, and greenhouse gases are problems to be solved at a global level. With an increased emphasis on the environmental and social responsibility of the management of companies, the manner in which companies approach quality-oriented culture and their individual sustainability management are being discussed as truly important issues to help them secure their competitiveness and growth strategies. This study proposes strategic directions to help manufacturers not only in expanding their competitive quality-oriented company culture but also in strengthening their sustainability management abilities. This study conducts a literature review and empirical research to examine how significantly the variables of a quality-oriented company culture, customer-centered management, and process-centered and supply chain management-centered cooperation affect sustainability management performance in relation to economic profitability, environmental integrity, and social responsibility. Research design, data, and methodology - To verify research models and hypotheses, the study examined 170 companies using a questionnaire survey conducted over six weeks, and involved the performance of data analysis on 146 samples. Questionnaire responses were calibrated based on a Likert scale. The study used the Smart PLS 2.0 program designed for PLS (partial least squares), an analysis instrument of SEM (structural equation modeling). The study then verified empirical research hypotheses working on reliability analysis, validity analysis, factorial analysis, and path analysis. Results - Among the nine hypotheses, four are accepted and the rest are rejected. A quality-oriented company culture focusing on customer-centered management significantly influenced the maintainability management performance of environmental integrity and social responsibility, while economic profitability was dismissed. A process-focused quality-oriented company culture was significantly concerned with economic profitability but not with environmental integrity or social responsibility. A supply-chain cooperative company culture had a significant effect on economic profitability but not on environmental integrity or social responsibility. Conclusion - This study proposes strategic directions to help manufacturers expand their competitive quality-oriented company culture as well as strengthen abilities with sustainability management. It conducts a literature review and empirical research to examine how significantly the variables of quality-oriented company culture, customer-centered management, and process-centered and supply chain management-centered cooperation affect sustainability management performance in relation to economic profitability, environmental integrity, and social responsibility. There are two main conclusions. First, companies should consider the need for social responsibility management and environmental transparent management-focused maintainability management as avenues to create new markets and business, thereby helping the companies secure a reputation for having a customer and process-centered quality-oriented company culture by creating shared values between supply chains and enabling win-win situations through cooperation. Second, we are marching towards a creative win-win era from a society of conflicts and ruptures. Companies should understand that social responsibility management and supply chain management (SCM)-focused cooperation are the foundations of sustainable development, as they try to improve their culture while pursuing both win-win relationships with interested parties and equity in various conflictive relations.

리더와의 접촉빈도와 심리적 거리가 직무 디스트레스에 미치는 영향: 구성원이 인지하는 셀프리더십의 매개효과 (Contact Frequency and Psychological Distance between Leaders: Job Distress and Mediation through Employees' Perceived Self-Leadership)

  • Purpose - This study aims to investigate a solution to reduce the negative reactions arising from the performance of duties or the job distress of workers in the service industry, because human resource statistics regarding workers in the service sector have been unreported, while concerns regarding exposure to emotional exertion and poor working conditions have been continuously increasing. Research design, data, and methodology - This study specifically focused on workers in highway service areas. It differs from previous studies because it involves the perspective of the person-organization fit and regards workers' cognition of leaders through the psychological distance toward the leader and the contact frequency between workers and leaders within the framework of the leader-individual fit. Moreover, this study highlights the role of the self-leadership of workers as an important factor that becomes manifested in the individual-level fit to the organization. Hence, this study investigates whether the positive role of the above factors, in turn, could reduce job distress. Workers from highway service areas in Gyeonggi-do province provided data; 141 valid questionnaires are collected. SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 19.0 were used to test the reliability and validity of constructs. Simple regression, multiple regression, and 3 step mediation tests were used to test the hypotheses after the correlation tests. Results - Results indicated that leader-member contact frequency and psychological distance have negative effects on job distress but positive effects on self-leadership. A mediation test revealed that self-leadership, in the relationships between contact frequency and job distress and between psychological distance and job distress, resulted in partial mediation and full mediation, respectively. Conclusions - The result can be understood through two different possible explanations. First, service area workers generally possess a positive perspective toward their leaders. This can be interpreted to mean that increased contact frequency and psychological distance would be considered as supports from the leader, rather than intrusive controls or management schemes. Therefore, the management in highway service areas should invest efforts in increasing contact frequency as well as maximizing psychological similarities by adopting the viewpoints of workers in terms of moral and ethical management, to reduce the workers' job distress. The results relating to self-leadership also indicate that increased contact frequency must be accompanied by intentions for the effective promotion of workers' self-leadership. It also signifies the necessity of a strategic approach by leaders to induce workers to perceive "in-group"ness as suggested both by the similarity-attraction theory and by the social identity theory. In addition, the results of the mediation test of self-leadership indicate that because workers' self-leadership activates upon increased contact frequency by the leader, it should not be a means of control and should not be utilized only from the perspective of management. It is also suggested that strategies such as transfer of authority could have a positive effect in promoting the expansion of self-influence from workers.

한국 IT 기업의 M&A 전략과 시사점 (An Empirical Study on the Strategy and Implications of M&A in Korea IT companies)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내 IT 기업의 인수합병이 내부 역량강화의 전략적 측면에서 나타나는 성과를 다음커뮤니케이션과 카카오 그룹의 합병 내용을 실증 분석한 내용이다. 다음이 카카오와 합병을 추진한 후 다음이라는 기존의 포털사이트 운영을 카카오의 플랫폼 비즈니스가 영역으로 확대해 가는 모습을 나타냈다. 합병이 이루어지고 주가의 총액은 최고를 경신했으나 조만간 그 가치가 하락했다. 합병으로 인한 기업의 성장성은 일시적으로 하락한 것으로 나타났는데 이는 합병으로 인한 내부적 비용의 발생으로 사료된다. 수익성의 경우에도 합병이 긍정적인 성과를 보이지 않았다. 안정성의 경우에는 합병으로 인한 기대 심리가 반영이 되어 다소 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 두 기업의 합병을 시계열적 분석을 통해 보면 다음이 카카오에 대한 관심이 많았지만 합병이후 다음과 카카오의 관심도가 유사하게 나타났다. 이는 다음의 검색 사이트보다는 카카오의 다양한 플랫폼 비즈니스 확장으로 인한 결과로 보여 진다. 본 연구의 결과로부터 국내의 IT기업들이 자신의 자원 혹은 역량을 강화하기 위한 M&A를 추진할 때에는 시너지를 창출할 전략적 요인들의 분석을 통해 접근을 해야 할 것을 제시한다.

Embossed new dental pick이 치주염에 미치는 영향 (Effect of embossed new dental pick on periodontitis)

  • Since bacterial plaque is known as the major cause of every oral disease, it is necessary to control plaque to maintain periodontal health. Although tooth brushing has been the typical method of plaque control, additional use of plaque control devices are necessary for cleansing interdental areas. Dental floss has been used for a long time as the additional plaque control device and proved to be effective. The newly developed embossed new dental pick is composed of elastic plastic material in form with its tip longer than other toothpick. In addition, as thickness of the tip gradually increases, it can be adapted easily with minimal trauma to interdental gingiva. The embossed tip can remove dental plaque easily, and the opposite end can approach lingual and palatal areas through triple angulation. Therefore, the authors studied the effect of embossed new dental pick and dental floss on periodontally involved 15 patient. The following results were obtained. 1. For embossed new dental pick, probing depth at baseline, 1 week, 4 weeks were $3.6{\pm}0.6mm$, $3.4{\pm}0.5mm$, $3.2{\pm}0.5mm$, respectively, and $4.2{\pm}0.9mm$, $4.1{\pm}0.9mm$, $4.0{\pm}0.9mm$, respectivly for clinical attachment level. 2. In case of embossed new dental pick, bleeding on probing at baseline, 1 week, 4 weeks were $43.0{\pm}4.4%$, $28.5{\pm}5.1%$, $22.2{\pm}5.6%$, respectively, and, at 1 week and 4 weeks, they were significantly different from that of dental floss. 3. Gingival index of toαhpick at baseline, 1 week, 4 weeks were $1.7{\pm}0.5$, $1.0{\pm}0.3$, $0.9{\pm}0.2$, respectively, and, $1.7{\pm}0.5$, $1.1{\pm}0.4$, $1.0{\pm}0.4$, respectively for plaque index, and $3.0{\pm}0.5$, $1.7{\pm}0.5$, $1.4{\pm}0.4$, respectively for proximal plaque index. proximal plaque index at 4 weeks was significantly different from that of dental floss. 4. The result of questionnaire showed that the two types of device were both satisfactory, however, embossed new dental pick had higher preference as well as satisfaction. As a result, embossed new dental pick is thought to be clinically effective for its simplicity and good accessibility.

지연된 의도적 재식술을 통한 치주 조직 재생 방법의 고찰 (Delayed intentional replantation: new approach for periodontal regeneration and establishment of theoretical background)

  • Purpose: Delayed intentional replantation was introduced as a new alternative to treat the teeth with severe periodontal involvement. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the possibility of delayed intentional replantation and establish theoretical backgrounds. Materials and Methods: Studies were performed into the following two subjects; (1)Clinical evaluation of patients who underwent delayed intentional replantation using clinical and radiographic data. Severe periodontitis involved teeth were carefully extracted and proper time for delayed replantation was evaluated by analyzing inflammation markers (IL-6, TNF-${\alpha}$). (2) Theoretical studies for efficacy of delayed intentional replantation using (-)-Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) for preservation of periodontal ligament cells on root surface by minimizing inflammation and treatment of inflammatory extraction sockets. Results: Meaningful success ratio and survival rate were found in delayed intentional replantation showing reduced bone loss and maintained bone level. Additionally, viability of EGCG applied periodontal ligament cells was much higher than control group. Also, EGCG promoted healing of inflammatory extraction sockets by inhibiting inflammatory cell proliferation. Conclusion: Within the limitations of this study, 1-2 weeks after extraction is an appropriate time to do delayed intentional replantation. Also, EGCG provides helpful effects on viability of periodontal ligament cells and periodontium.

한국 기업의 물류아웃소싱 활용요인에 관한 연구 (An Approach to the Logistics Outsourcing Factors of the Korean Companies)

  • 본 연구는 한국 기업의 계약 기간에 따른 물류아웃소싱의 패턴을 분석하여 물류기업의 경쟁력 향상에 기여하는데 목적이 있으며, 문헌연구와 실증분석을 병행하여 실시하였다. 설문조사는 2008년 4월부터 5월까지 2개월 간 진행하였다. 총 400개의 물류기업을 대상으로 설문을 배포한 결과 165부의 설문지를 회수하였으며 분석에 적합한 설문 155부를 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 요인분석과 요인별 중요도 분석결과 본 연구의 시사점은 크게 세 가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 한국기업은 물류아웃소싱 동기로서 기업의 전략과 관련된 요인을 중요시한다. 아웃소싱에 대한 결정은 최고경영자에 의해서 이루어지며, 기업은 해외진출 및 해외진출시 제품경쟁전략에 따라 물류아웃소싱을 검토하게 되고 최고경영자의 해외 진출 및 국제화에 대한 의지 정도, 해외에서 판매되는 자사 제품의 판매 전략에 따라 물류아웃소싱의 활용에 크게 영향을 준다. 둘째, 한국기업은 고객요구에 대한 대응정도, 경쟁의 정도에 따라 물류아웃소싱을 고려하며 기업의 특성, 물류비용, 제품의 물리적 특성 등을 감안하여 물류아웃소싱을 결정하게 된다. 셋째, 계약기간에 따른 물류아웃소싱에 대한 차이를 분석한 결과 시장진출요인은 계약기간에 따른 시사점이 도출되지 않았으나 기업전략, 기업특성, 환경 측면에서는 장기간의 계약관계가 중요하게 인식되었다. 상술한 연구결과를 토대로 아웃소싱의 동기, 결정요인과 계약기간을 고려하여 당사자의 입장 차이를 줄이기 위해 정확한 계약조건제시와 주기적인 의사소통을 토대로 물류아웃소싱의 효과를 높여야 할 것이다.
