  • The purpose of this study is to find the difference between the parents generation and that of the children in the disciplinary methods by means of parental social population variation. With these purpose in mind, the problems have been suggested like following: 1) what are the general differences of between the two generations of parents and children in disciplinary method? 2)What are the general differences of the views between those two generations according to sex? 3) What are the general differences between the parents generation and the child generation according to age? 4) What are the general differences between the parents generation and the child generation according to education level? 5) What are the general differences between the parents generation and the child generation according to income level? In order to solve these problems, questionnaries were distributed on this appendix 374parents (father: 177, mother: 197) who have the children. Questionnaires were compose on "Parents Inventory" of Radke were employs, classfied five measures. To test and verifying the above hypothes, the following five measures. were used. 1) Philosophy of authority (authoritarian vs. democratic) 2) Parental restrition (strict and stubbon vs. democratic) 3) Severity of punishment (severity vs. mildness) 4) Parent-child rapport 9desirable vs. undesirable) 5) Relative responsibility of father and mothehr towards child disciplinary (equal vs. differ) The result of this study is like follows: 1) In general comparison of two generations, tends to be more democratic in the philosophy of authority, more relaxed and easygoing in the parental restroction, more severe in the severity of punishment, and good rapport in the parent-child rapport than grandparents generation and the responsibility of father don't change but that of mother tends to augment in child disciplinary 2) In comparison of two generation according to sex, the mother showed more democratic in the philosophy of authority and closely perceive her parents in the parent-child rapport as compared with the father. 3) In comparison of two generation according to age, the younger parents showed more relaxed attitudes towards the child disciplinary, the perception better relations of their parents in the parent-child rapport. 4) In the comparison of two generations according to education level the more educated parents showed the more relaxed and easygoing attitude towards in the parental restriction. 5) In comparison of two generation according to income, as the parents of large income generally (not always) showed easygoing than their previous generation in the parental restriction, and they perceive that they have a good one in parent-child rapport. This study caused by the some difficult problem required futher investigation on the result of two generations the problems happened in the inner unitary of items. And, it proposed some problems which constitutes the problems of the proper interpretation of the results between two generations brought about discordance of items between tow generations

  • For last two decades numerous automatic mesh generation algorithms for various two dimensional objects have been introduced continuously and among them triangular mesh generation schemes have been majority because of efficiency and controllability. In our study, an existing triangular mesh generation algorithm developed by Lo is totally modified to more improve node distribution, element shape, and objects shape independency. ft is composed of node generation part and element generation part. In order to find a suitable node position within geometry, the suggested algorithm searches desirable positions of points within boundary and optimizes node position to generate comparatively well-shaped elements. More over, the suggested algorithm handles various complex two dimensional objects and its meshing speed shows superiority to those of the existing triangulation mesh generation algorithms. It is fully automated in a sense of constructing object boundary and hence can be directly used as an independent meshing software.

  • This paper have been studied that ocean wave power vibration generation system with two D.O.F.(degree of freedom) consists of buoy and vibration generation system with two D.O.F. for using efficiency of ocean wave energy. It selected main frequencies ${\omega}_1$, ${\omega}_2$ in frequency with ocean wave and it fitted them to the natural frequencies of vibration system with two D.O.F. in the vibrational power generation system. Then each the relative velocity of between the winding coil and the permanent magnet is faster than the velocity of ocean wave up and down motion by resonance phenomenon. Also the ocean wave power generation with two D.O.F. obtained the more electric energy then the ocean wave power generation with one D.O.F. by coupling effect for two D.O.F. vibration system. Therefore ocean wave power vibration generation system with two degree of freedom that is proposed in this paper has merits which not only using more energy in the ocean wave but also obtaining more electronic energy.

  • This study empirically compared generational differences in responses between baby boomers, Generation X, and Generation Y groups as measured by key variables related to advertisement. The respondents in this study were consumers throughout Korea, with 914 survey questionnaires used for the final analyses. Eight of the original 10 hypotheses were validated and two were rejected. Both baby boomer consumers and Generation Y consumers showed more positive responses to affective advertisements than their Generation X counterparts. Generation Y consumers showed more positive attitudes towards humorous advertisements than their baby boomer and Generation X counterparts. The effect of advertising models on the evaluation of advertisements was greater among Generation Y consumers than their Generation X counterparts. Generation Y consumers showed more positive attitudes towards storytelling-type marketing than their baby boomer and Generation X counterparts. Baby boomer consumers showed more positive attitudes towards symbolic advertisements than their Generation X and Generation Y counterparts. Generation X consumers showed more positive attitudes towards functional advertisements than the baby boomer and Generation Y groups. There were significant differences in attitudes towards two types (symbolic and functional) of advertisements in both baby boomer consumers and Generation X consumers.

  • Two new generation gap models with modified parent-centric recombination(PCX) operator are proposed. First, the self-adaptation generation gap(SGG) model is a control method that keeps a replaced probability of parents by offspring to a certain level which obtains better performance. Second, virtual cluster generation gap(VCGG) is provided to extend distances among parents using clustering, which causes it to diversify individuals. In this model, distances among parents can be controlled by size of clusters. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our two proposed approaches, experiments for three standard test problems are executed and compared to most competing current approaches, CMA-ES and Generalized Generation Gap(G3) with PCX. It is shown two proposed methods are superior to consistently other approaches in the study.

  • The purpose of this research is to grasp the spatial environmental needs of a three generation family, thereby to suggest some major concepts which can be used as basic design guidelines for a three generation family housing. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey from 467 housewives living in a three generation family households. Results showed that most respondents want to be seperated from their old parents. This tendency, however, changed once a housing alternative for the three generation living was assumed to have been developed. The most preferred alternative housing units were identified. The desirable proportions of the unit alternatives were 34% for a single unit. 28% for the two connected units. 7% for two separated units within a building and 32% for two separated units in different buildings within the same housing complex.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel framework for technology policy aimed both for the generation and diffusion of new technologies. Based upon critical examination of related theories and practice of technology policy, we identify two major problems in current technology generation policy, and the segregated approach to technology diffusion policy from technology generation policy. To remedy these problems, we argue that two goals of technology policy of generation and diffusion should be integrated and synchronized via unified policy framework, and propose the conceptual configuration for policy implementation which can serve the desired objective.

  • This study defines the Next Generation System(NGS) built by domestic financial businesses and classifies their architecture into two typical types according to the duration of the project and the relative cost of IT investment in the short term: the Big Bang approach and the Phase approach. Herein, we study the two approaches as alternatives in developing the Next Generation System, and derive the factors that are to be considered in the evaluation of the two alternatives for financial businesses. The set of standards for the choice between the two models are grouped into categories that constitute performance evaluation for IT - Cost, Performance and Risk. We drill down further into each category to second and third subordinate levels to derive detailed selection criteria. Based on the criteria drawn from the study, we conduct a survey with information system planners, IT managers and specialists at financial companies who are currently planning, developing or have completed a Next Generation System. Survey results are analyzed using the AHP methodology to compare and understand the different approach in the implementation of NGS for financial business.
