자속구속형 초전도전류제한기의 권선비 변화에 따른 전류제한 및 전압강하 보상 특성 (Current Limiting and Voltage Sag Suppressing Characteristics of Flux-lock Type SFCL According to Variations of Turn Number's Ratio)

  • In this paper, we investigated the fault current limiting and the load voltage sag suppressing characteristics of the flux-lock type SFCL, designed with the additive polarity winding, according to the variations of turn number's ratio and the comparative analysis between the resistive type and the flux-lock type SFCLs were performed as well. From the analysis for the short-circuit tests, the flux-lock type SFCL designed with the larger turn number's ratio was shown to perform more effective fault current limiting and load voltage sag suppressing operations compared to the flux-lock type SFCL designed with the lower turn number's ratio through the fast quench occurrence of the high-$T_C$ superconducting (HTSC) element comprising the flux-lock type SFCL. In addition, the recovery time of the flux-lock type SFCL after the fault removed could be confirmed to be shorter in case of the flux-lock type SFCL designed with the lower turn number ratio.

  • This paper presents a transformer protective relaying algorithm using the ratio of induced voltages. The proposed algorithm calculates primary and secondary voltage from currents and voltages of primary and secondary windings. The ratio of primary and secondary induced voltages is equal to the turn ratio in case of the steady state and magnetic inrush. On the other hand, the ratio is different form the turn ratio in case of internal winding faults. The algorithm does not require B-H curve and can reduce the relay's operating time.

  • According to the increase of electric consumption nowadays, power system becomes complicated. Due to this, the size of single line-to-ground fault from power system also increases to have many problems. In order to resolve these problems effectively, an Superconducting Fault Current Limiter(SFCL) was proposed and continuous study has been done. In this paper, an SFCL was combined to the neutral line of a transformer. An superconductivity has the characteristics of zero resistance below critical temperature. because of this, SFCL has nearly zero resistance. so we connecting SFCL to neutral line will not only have any loss in the normal operation but also have the less burden of electric power because of only limiting the initial fault current. We analyzed the characteristics of current, voltage according to the changes of turn ratio of 3 phase system in case of combinations of an SFCL to the neutral line. It was confirmed that the limiting rate of initial fault current by the increase of turn ratio was reduced.

  • In this paper, the LLC resonant converter battery charger, using adaptive turn ratio scheme, is proposed to achieve high efficiency and wide range output voltage. The LLC converter high frequency transformer has an adaptively changed turn ratio by the auxiliary control circuitry. As a result, the optimal converter design with a large magnetizing inductance is easily achieved to minimize the conduction and the turn-off losses while providing widely regulated voltage gain capability to properly charge the Li-ion battery. The proposed converter operational principle and the optimal design considerations are illustrated in detail. Finally, several simulation results verify the proposed LLC resonant converter's effectiveness.

  • This paper proposes an LLC resonant converter based battery charger which utilizes an adaptive turn ratio scheme to achieve a wide output voltage range and high efficiency. The high frequency transformer of the LLC converter of the proposed strategy has an adaptively changed turn ratio through the auxiliary control circuit. As a result, an optimized converter design with high magnetizing inductance is possible, while minimizing conduction and turn-off losses and providing a regulated voltage gain to properly charge the lithium ion battery. For a step-by-step explanation, operational principle and optimal design considerations of the proposed converter are illustrated in detail. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified through various experimental results and efficiency analysis based on prototype 300W Li-ion battery charger and battery pack.

고효율 순산소 버너의 연소 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on combustion characteristics of high efficiency oxy-fuel burner)

  • This paper describes the results of a series of experiments executed by using two pilot-scale oxv-fuel burners are designed for maximum capacity of 50,000 kacl/hr, 300,000 kcal/hr and installed in the test furnace. The effects of turn-down ratio, excess oxygen ratio, nozzle exit velocity, injection angle, swirl vane angle and inlet oxygen temperature on the combustion characteristic are investigated. Temperature distributions are measured using R-type and Molybdenum sheathed C-type thermocouple. The results showed that maximum temperature and mean temperature increase with the increase of turn-down ratio and inlet oxygen temperature. The maximum flame temperature was increased about 35% compared to the case of equivalent air operated condition. In addition, Optimum excess oxygen ratio and nozzle characteristics are obtained for this oxy-fuel glass melting furnace.

Park's 벡터 패턴의 왜곡률을 이용한 고정자 권선 고장 자동진단 (Auto-Diagnosis for Stator Winding Faults Using Distortion Ratio of Park's Vector Pattern)

  • In this paper, an auto-diagnosis method of the stator winding fault for small induction motor is suggested. 3-phase stator currents are sampled, filtered, and transformed with Park's vector transformation. After then Park's vector patterns are obtained. To detect the stator winding fault automatically, a distortion ratio is newly defined and compared with the one of healthy motor, and the threshold levels of distortion ratio are suggested. The 2-turn, 4-turn, 8-turn winding fault are tested with no load, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% rated load. The distortion ratio of the Park's vector patterns are increased as the increase of the faulted turns, but are same as the increase of the load.

  • At present, the demand for electric power increases, the electric power system is complicated. The size of the line-to-ground fault and the line-to-line fault occurred with complication of electric power system continue to increase, therefore several issues are raised. To address these issues effectively, the superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) has been proposed, this study is ongoing. In this paper, we applied the SFCL in three-phase transformer and comparative analysis of the electric power burden to the SFCL. The superconductor is combined to the third winding of transformers in connection structure. In case of a third line-to-line fault, we did comparative analysis of the electric power burden to the SFCL based on the turn ratio of transformer third winding. In this case, we could confirm as the third turn ratio increased, electric power impressed to the superconducting element increased.

좌회전 비율에 따른 회전교차로 전환기준 교통량 산정 (Traffic Volume Criteria for Roundabouts Based on Left-Turn Ratio)

  • 현재 국내에 설치되는 회전교차로는 "회전교차로 설계지침, 국토교통부, 2014"에 따라 설계되고 있으며, 다양한 설계요소에 대해 기준을 제시하고 있다. 그 중 가장 중요하다고 할 수 있는 회전교차로 설치를 위한 교통량 기준으로 12,000~32,000대/일의 계획교통량을 제시하고 있으며 접근로 차로 당 125~450대/시/차로로 제시하고 있다. 그러나 이는 회전교차로 용량에 지대한 영향을 미치는 좌회전 비율 및 접근로 차로 수 등이 고려되지 않은 교통량 기준으로 해당지역의 교통 및 기하구조 특성에 따라 회전교차로 용량은 큰 차이를 보일 수 있다. 즉, 좌회전 비율이 높을수록 또는 접근로 차로 수가 많은 수록 차로 당 용량은 떨어질 가능성이 크다. 이러한 교통 및 기하구조 특성을 고려하지 않고 회전교차로를 설치할 시 오히려 교통 흐름의 효율성이 떨어질 수 있어 회전교차로 설치 시 정확한 용량 산정은 매우 중요한 사항이다. 본 연구는 기존 기침에 제시된 교차로 기하구조 및 교통여건이 고려되지 않는 회전교차로 전환기준을 보완하기 위해 교차로 운영방법, 접근로 차로수에 따른 교차로유형과 좌회전비율에 따른 용량의 변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 회전교차로 전환기준은 접근로수와 좌회전비율에 따라 변화됨을 알 수 있었으며 접근로수와 좌회전비율에 따른 회전교차로 전환기준을 회전교차로 설계지침에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

교차도로 교통량을 고려한 비보호좌회전 신호체계의 적용기준 (Warrants of Permissive Left-Turn Signal Systems Based on a Cross Road Volumes)

  • 본 연구는 교차되는 도로의 교통량 변화에 따른 비보호좌회전 적용기준에 대한 연구이다. 분석에 이용된 도구는 Transyt-7F모형이며 대향직진교통량에 대한 비보호좌회전 가능교통량을 찾기 위해서 좌회전교통량을 점진적으로 증가시켜 보호좌회전보다 유리한 범위를 구하는 방법을 이용하였다. 이 때에 사용된 효과측정기준은 교차로전체의 차량당 평균정지지체시간이다. 도출된 요 결론을 보면 (1)교차도로의 교통량이 적을수록 비보호좌회전 가능대수는 더 크고 교차도로의 교통량비가 0.6일 때는 1.0일 때에 비해 약 50% 큰 값을 나타냈는데 대향직진교통량이 클 때는 그 차이가 크지 않았다. (2)교통안전시설실무편람의 기준과 비교해 보면 교차도로의 교통량비가 0.6일 때의 기준과 가장 유사하게 나타났으며 0.8과 1.0배 일 때는 편람의 기준보다 낮은 값을 보였다. (3)또한 차로당 대향직진교통량에 따른 비보호좌회전 가능대수는 접근로의 차로수가 클수록 더 작은 값을 나타내었으며 차로당 교통량의 곱을 비보호좌회전 기준으로 쓰기에는 상관관계가 상대적으로 높지 않은 것으로 평가되었기 때문에 신중을 기해야할 것으로 보인다.
