고받음각 동체에 발생하는 측력의 실험적 재현 및 수치적 분석 (EXPERIMENTAL REPRODUCTION AND NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SIDE FORCE ON AN OGIVE FOREBODY AT A HIGH ANGLE OF ATTACK)

  • Behavior of the side force generated at high angles of attack by two ogive-cylinder bodies of revolution with nose fineness ratio of 2.3 (B1) and 3.5 (B2) and the effect of a strip placed close the nose tip of each body (B1S and B2S) are analyzed through the wind tunnel test at ReD=200,000 and a=42~60 deg. The side force generated by B1 is increased by placing a strip. The side force generated by B2 is in the starboard direction and its magnitude is higher than that of the B1S. The effect of the strips with various dimensions placed on B2 is investigated. It is found that the 4-layer strip placed on the starboard reversed the direction of the side force into port direction. It is confirmed by numerical simulations that the strip promotes the flow separation and increases the average pressure on the side where it is placed and consequently produces the side force in the corresponding direction.

  • The present study is concerned with the heat transfer enhancement associated with a symmetrical or asymmetrical horseshoe vortex in front of and around the circular cylinder centered between the side walls of a wind tunnel. The static pressure measurements and the flow visualization in front of and around cylinders have been performed to determine the existence of horseshoe vortex. The hue-capturing method using the thermochromatic liquid crystals with great spatial resolution was used to obtain the local information of the endwall heat transfer coefficients. In case of one cylinder, the convective heat transfer coefficients of the region where the horseshoe vortex exists are larger than those of any other region. In case of two cylinders with tandem arrangement, the heat transfer rate of gap spacing (d/D= 1.5) is higher than that of gap spacings (d/D=2.0 or 2.5).

  • 심부 5 km 내외에 고압의 유체 주입에 의하여 인공저류층을 형성한 후 지열유체를 순환 생산하여 지열발전을 하는 인공저류층 지열시스템의 실현 가능성을 판단하기 위해 다양한 지역에서 인공저류층 지열시스템 실증연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 기술보고는 영국 Rosemanowes 에서 진행된 EGS 실증연구와 호주 Cooper Basin에서 2002년 이래 진행되고 있는 EGS 적용 사례를 소개하여 해당 지역에서 진행된 연구의 경험, 오류, 시사점 등을 정리하고, 향후 한국에서의 실증연구에 활용하고자 작성되었다.

아치형 단동하우스의 동간거리가 풍력계수에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Distance between Houses on the Wind Force Coefficients on the Single-span Arched House)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the wind force distribution on the two single-span arched plastic house depending upon the house spacing and wind direction, which may provide the fundamental criteria for the structural design. In order to specify the wind force distribution, the variation of the wind force coefficients, the mean wind force coefficients and the drag force coefficients were estimated from the wind tunnel test data. The results obtained are as follows : 1. At the wind direction of 90$^{\circ}$, there was a typical span interval at which the maximum negative pressure was occured at the edge of the inside walls. 2. In the consideration of wind loads, the wind force coefficients estimated from independent single-span arched plastic house should not be directly applied to the structural design on the double houses separated. 3. The average maximum negative wind force on the inside walls was occured at the wind direction of 90$^{\circ}$, and the variations depending on the span intervals was not significant. 4. The average maximum drag force was occured at the wind direction of 300, and the magnitude of drag force was more significant at the first house. As the distance between two houses was increased, the drag force was slightly increased for every wind direction.

아치형 연동온실의 최적설계를 위한 풍력계수분포도의 분석 (An Analysis of Wind Force Coefficient Distributions for Optimum Design of Multi-Span Arched Greenhouses)

  • Wind force coefficients of multi-span arched greenhouses with respect to wind direction of $0^{\circ}$ and $30^{\circ}$ were estimated to give more reasonable coefficient. The conventional and subdivided division types of wind force coefficient distribution diagrams were constructed by using the wind tunnel experimental data. Bending moments on the greenhouses were determined through structural analysis using obtained wind force coefficients, and were analyzed. Because actual wind pressure values on a face of greenhouse varied with locations, the more divisions of wind force coefficient distribution were subdivided, the better distribution type was coincided with actual state. In order to calculate the more accurate section force occurred on the arched greenhouse by the wind loads, it was recommendable that the wind force coefficient distribution should take more subdivision type. The maximum bending moment at the multi-span greenhouse frame at wind direction of $30^{\circ}$ was greater than that at O。, therefore the wind force coefficient at inclined wind direction to the wall was needed to be considered for the multi-span greenhouse structural design.

  • 복합추진장치가 포함된 경우와 포함되지 않은 경우의 축대칭 물체 주위 유동특성을 조사하기 위한 실험적 수치적 연구가 수행되었다. 축대칭 물체주위 유동특성 파악을 위해 선박해양공학연구센터의 캐비테이션 터널에서 표면압력분포와 LDV 장치를 이용한 주위유속분포 계측 시험이 우선적으로 이루어졌으며, 비압축성 RANS 방정식을 유한체적법으로 해석하는 수치적 방법이 표준 k-${\varepsilon}$ 난류모형을 이용하여 수행되었다. 선체와 프로펠러 상호작용은 양력면이론에 의하여 계산된 유기속도를 프로펠러 면에 분포하여 경계조건으로 처리하는 방법을 택하였다. 추진장치의 여러 가지 배열변화에 따른 실험적 결과를 기반으로 타당한 수치적 방법이 개발될 수 있다고 생각된다.

  • 셰일층으로 구성된 암반사면에서 층리면을 따라 대규모 평면파괴가 사면 중앙부에서 발생하였다. 현장조사시 파괴사면 주변은 지하수 누수 흔적과 점토층의 충전물이 존재하였으며, 파괴원인을 검토한 결과 층리면을 따라 형성된 점토 충전물의 낮은 전단강도와 강우시 인장균열내 형성된 수압에 의해 붕괴가 발생한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 충전된 절리면의 전단강도 특성을 규명하기 위해서 모래, 점토의 인위적인 충전물을 이용하여 충전재 두께비에 따른 전단강도 특성을 고찰하였다.

  • 서울~부산간 경부고속철도 왕림터널 개착구간의 서측 사면에서 발생한 암반사면 사태의 발생원인을 파악하기 위하여 정밀지질조사와 물리탐사를 실시하였다. 지질구조에 대한 물리탐사 및 기하학적 분석결과, 집중강우 시 다량의 지하수가 N60$^{\circ}$ E 방향의 주단열대로 유입되면서 단열공극 내의 유체압력이 상승하여 사면암반의 거동이 유발되었으며, 개착터널의 사면쪽으로 경사하는 편마암의 엽리면을 따라 변위가 진행되어 결과적으로 대규모 사태가 야기되었던 것으로 해석되었다.

An Advanced Study on the Development of Marine Lifting Devices Enhanced by the Blowing Techniques

  • High lifting devices used for control purposes have received much attention in the marine field. Hydrofoils for supporting the hull, roll stabilizer fins for developing the motion damping performance, rudders for maneuverability are the well-known devices. In the present study, the ability of the rudder with flap to produce high lift was analyzed. The boundary layer control, one of the flow control techniques, was adopted. Especially, to build the blown flap, a typical and representative type of a boundary layer control, a flapped rudder was designed and manufactured so that it could eject the water jet from the gap between the main foil and the flap to the flap surface tangentially. And it was tested in the towing tank. Simultaneously, to know the information about the 2-dimensional flow field, a fin model with similar characteristics as the rudder model applicable for the motion control was made and tested in the cavitation tunnel. In addition, local flow measurements were carried out to obtain physical information, for example, a surface pressure measurement and flow visualization around the flap. And CFD simulation was used to obtain information difficult to collect from the experiment about the 2-dimensional flow.

Peak Pressures Acting on Tall Buildings with Various Configurations

  • Twenty six pressure models of high rise buildings with various cross-sections including twisted models were tested in a boundary layer wind tunnel. The cross-sections were triangular, square, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, dodecagon, circular, and clover. This study investigates variations in peak pressures, and effects of various cross-sections and twist angles on peak pressures. To study the effects of various configurations and twist angles on peak pressures in detail, maximum positive and minimum negative peak pressures at each measurement point of the building for all wind directions are presented and discussed. The results show that peak pressures greatly depend on building cross-section and twist angle.
