  • This study aims to analyze the current state of menswear in the domestic fashion market and the trend of new menswear brands. In addition to this, a comparative analysis of domestic and foreign menswear brands will be done to provide baseline data for the domestic brands in regards to strategic direction in the coming years. The study used reports published by Samsungdesign.net, which provided trends of 110 new brands from 2005 to 2014, in order to analyze the trends of new menswear brands launched during that period. Menswear brand information in the Korean Fashion Brand Annual, of which there were 168, were utilized to research the current state of the brands in the domestic market. As a results, menswear is expected to become more sensitive to trends and designs thanks to steady launchings of menswear brands within character casual zoning for the past 10 years and active brand launchings within contemporary zoning in the last 5 years. Also, as more brands are targeting men in their 20's as their main customers, it suggests that menswear brands are striving for a younger mindset. In terms of pricing, prestige and budget line launchings they seem to be dwindling, while bridge brands are increasing. This shows that customers are demanding luxury items at a reasonable price. Since there are higher ratio of foreign brands in dress shirts and contemporary zoning, domestic brands need to develop and produce more high quality clothes within these zonings.

This study was a secondary data analysis of medical and nursing data based on the United States Nursing Minimum Data Set and the Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set retrieved from a Midwestern USA medical center. The results showed interesting comparisons with national statistics as well as practice relevant trends within the nursing data. Additionally, the results showed the possibility that nursing data can be extracted from the medical data, so they can used in the nursing productivity and cost issues etc. In conclusion, this study supports the power of minimum data sets and nursing classifications to begin to describe a more global perspective the inter-relationships and trends of nursing data within the medical diagnosis context.

  • The variability and temporal trends of the annual and seasonal minimum and maximum temperature, rainfall, relative humidity, wind speed, sunshine hours, and runoff were analyzed for 5 major rivers in Korea from 1960 to 2010. A simple regression and non-parametric methods (Mann-Kendall test and Sen's estimator) were used in this study. The analysis results show that the minimum temperature ($T_{min}$) had a higher increasing trend than the maximum temperature ($T_{max}$), and the average temperature increased by about $0.03^{\circ}C\;yr.^{-1}$. The relative humidity and wind speed decreased by $0.02%\;yr^{-1}$ and $0.01m\;s^{-1}yr^{-1}$, respectively. With the exception of the Han River basin, the regression analysis and Mann-Kendall and Sen results failed to detect trends for the runoff and rainfall over the study period. Rapid land use changes were linked to the increase in the runoff in the Han River basin. The sensitivity of the evapotranspiration and ultimately the runoff to the meteorological variables was in the order of relative humidity > sunshine duration > wind speed > $T_{max}$ > $T_{min}$. Future studies should investigate the interaction of the variables analyzed herein, and their relative contributions to the runoff trends.

  • Recently, there has been an increasing trend in the role of social media in tourism marketing. We analyze changes in tourism marketing trends using tourism marketing keywords through social media networks. The aim is to understand marketing trends based on the analyzed data and effectively create, maintain, and manage customers, as well as efficiently supply tourism products. Data was collected using web data from platforms such as Naver, Google, and Daum through TexTom. The data collection period was set for one year, from December 1, 2022, to December 1, 2023. The collected data, after undergoing refinement, was analyzed as keyword networks based on frequency analysis results. Network visualization and CONCOR analysis were conducted using the Ucinet program. The top words in frequency were 'tourists,' 'promotion,' 'travel,' and 'research.' Clusters were categorized into four: tourism field, tourism products, marketing, and motivation for visits. Through this, it was confirmed that tourism marketing is being conducted in various tourism sectors such as MICE, medical tourism, and conventions. Utilizing digital marketing via online platforms, tourism products are promoted to tourists, and unique tourism products are developed to increase city branding and tourism demand through integrated tourism content. We identify trends in tourism marketing, providing tourists with a positive image and contributing to the activation of local tourism.

  • The purpose of this study was to find research trends of smart learning. For this, we identified the research's characteristics such as the subject or keyword of research, method, data collection, and statistical analysis method. The 2,865 articles published from 1995 to 2013 were gathered from five Korean academic journals related to smart learning. Among them, research keyword, areas, research method, data collection method, and statistical analysis method were analyzed on 596 papers. The findings of this study were as follows: (a) Smart learning papers such keyword likes u-learning, m-learning, and smart-learning were emerging after 2006. Smart learning papers with ICT related topics were highly increased after 2000, but they were decreased after 2006. Smart learning papers with e-learning related keywords were steadily increased after 2000 through 2013. (b) The research field of deign had the highest portion in smart learning research, but managing had the lowest portion. (c) Development was mainly used as a research method. Both questionnaire and experiment were mainly used for collecting data methods. T-test and frequency analysis were mainly used as statistical analysis methods.

  • Korea Groundwater Quality Monitoring Network is a database of annual groundwater quality survey results to prevent groundwater pollution. We estimated contamination index (CI) values for each type of land use, and analyzed temporal trends of pollutant concentration data in the Groundwater Quality Monitoring Network from 2001 to 2009. Among the pollutants considered in the database, the concentrations of nitrate and chloride were higher than their standards. In the case of nitrate, recreation parks, golf courses and general waste dumping regions showed increasing trends according to linear regression analysis, whereas industrial complexes and residential regions of urgan and recreation parks showed increasing trends in the chloride concentration data. According to multiple variable linear regression analysis, EC, pH and topography were major factors influencing CI values. These results suggest that groundwater with a high CI value and increasing trend is vulnerable for potential contamination, which requires more careful groundwater pollution control.
