퇴비단 여과액비와 막분리 농축액비를 이용한 고형배지경 양액재배가 고추의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Compost Leachate and Concentrated Slurry on the Growth and Yield of Pepper in a Substrate Hydroponic Culture)

  • 본 연구는 고형배지경 양액재배에서 화학 양액 대체가능성을 검토하기 위하여 여과액비, 농축액비에 양액 및 부산물의 혼합처리가 고추의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 처리는 질소함량을 기준으로 여과액비, 농축액비에 부산물과 양액을 혼합하는 처리구를 두어 전기 전도도와 pH를 조정하여 고추 양액재배를 실시한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 여과, 농축액비에는 다량 및 미량원소를 함유하고 있으며 부유물질(SS)이 낮아 수경재배시 관배수의 막힘문제 없이 활용이 가능하였다. 또한 여과, 농축액비는 인산, 칼슘, 마그네슘 함량이 낮고 칼륨이 높은 양분불균형를 나타내었다. 2. 양액재배에서 고추의 합계수량은 여과액비 단독시 용구에서 원예연 표준양액재배 대비 총수량 59%를 나타내었으며 농축액비의 경우 양액 대비 14%에 불과하였다. 퇴비단여과액비+부산물, 농축액비+부산물 처리구의 수량은 대조구 대비 각각 60, 54%를 나타내어 여과액비 단독시 용구와 비슷한 수량을 나타내어 부산물 첨가 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 3. 여과액비와 농축액비에 양액을 50%: 50% 비율로 혼합 처리구의 수량은 표준양액과 대등한 수량을 나타내었다. 결론적으로 여과액비, 농축액비 50%에 양액을 50% 첨가하면 고추 양액 재배에 활용이 가능 할 것으로 판단된다.

매립장에서 발생되는 침출수의 성분분석 (The Constituent Analysis of Leachate in Landfill Site)

  • The ultimate Wastes generated after being treated safely and properly were land-filled in Wha Sung Treatment Plant, that of specific hazardous Wastes. There are three kinds of wastes being landfilled, which are sludges, ashes, and solidificated wastes with cement. This research scrutinizes the variations of leachate which originated from landfilled wastes amount to 30,000 ton with analizing the constituent, pH and concentration of wastes once per month since september, 1987. Now, we have some conclusions as followings; 1. The longer retention time of wastes in landfill site and the more quantity of filling-up, the closer pH of leachate to alkalinity. 2. As the quantity of copper and its compounds is over 90 percent of constituents loundfilled wastes, so the copper of leachate goes above treatment criteria. 3. There lis relationship between pH of leachate and eruption of copper and its compounds. The higher pH of leachate, the more secured copper and its compounds. So, we learn that solidificated wastes with cement is more secured than sludges and ashes. 4. The pH and concentration of copper in leachate is low in July and August, this is passing phenomenon which diluted by rainfall in rainy days. 5. The quantities of cadmium and lead of leachate was not over the treatment criteria.

분극곡선 측정을 통한 전해부상조의 설계인자 평가 (Evaluation on Design Factors of Electrolytic Flotation Reactor by Measuring Polarization Curve)

  • This study was carried out to obtain the optimum design factors for an eletrolytric flotation reactor. When the effluent of the leachate treatment facility was treated under the condition of 10 volts, 30 minutes, at the Al-Al electrode system; COD removal efficiency was 45%, and total phosphorus removal efficiency was 98%. The high removal efficiency was caused by the fact that phosphate was removed by leaching $Al^{3+}$ from two electrodes. The leachate containing high ammonium nitrogen concentration was treated by a batch test under the condition of 60 minutes reaction time and added chloride ion; ammonium nitrogen removal efficiency was 89%. This high efficiency was affected by added chloride ion to wastewater. To find the optimum current density and voltage of the leachate containing chloride ion (ratio of $Cl^-/NH_4-N$ is 11) a electrochemical polarization curve was used. These values were found to be $4.5mA/cm^2$ and about 2.1 V, respectively. When C-Al electrode system was used at a batch test, the total nitrogen removal efficiency was increased by 1.8 to 3.3 times, compared to Al-Al electrode system due to high $Cl_2$ gas production.

퇴비단 여과액비가 수경재배에서 상추의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Compost Leachate on Growth and Yield of Leaf Lettuce in Hydroponic Culture)

  • 본 연구는 수경재배에서 여과액비의 양액대체 가능성을 평가하기 위하여 양돈농가의 퇴비화 과정 중 여과되어 나오는 퇴비단여과액비(SCB액비)와 화학양액의 혼합 시용이 상추(Lactuca sativa L.)의 생육에 미치는 영향를 검토하기 위하여 수행하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 수경재배 방식은 박막순환 수경재배(NFT방식) 방식으로 실시하였다. 처리는 상추의 수경재배에서 질소함량을 기준으로 여과액비와 양액의 혼합수준 처리구를 두었다. 처리구는 여과액비(CL 100%) 단독처리구, 여과액비 80% + 양액 20%(CL80% + NS20%) 혼합처리구, 여과액비 60% + 양액40%(CL 60% + NS 40%) 혼합처리구, 여과액비 40% + 양액60%(CL 40% + NS 60%) 혼합처리구, 여과액비 20% + 양액80%(CL 20% + NS 80%) 혼합처리구, 양액 100%(NS 100%) 단독처리구를 두었다. 여과액비와 양액혼합액은 전기전도도와 pH를 조정하여 상추의 양액재배를 실시한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 여과액비는 칼리함량이 상대적으로 높고 질산태질소, 인산 함량이 낮아 여과액비 100% 처리구는 양분의 불균형을 초래하여 양액재배에서 상추의 지상부의 생육이 지연되어 대조구인 양액 대비 60%의 수량을 나타내어 수량감소가 있었으나 상추유기 농 수경재배의 가능성을 제시하였다. 2. 질소기준으로 여과액비와 양액을 40%;60% 혼합시 양액 대비 10%의 수량감소가 있었으나, 여과액비와 양액을 20%:80% 혼합하여 처방 처리 할 경우 대조구인 표준양액 처리와 대등한 수량을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과에서 여과액비와 양액을 질소기준으로 60% 이상 혼합 할 때 양분불균형이 해소되어 화학양액 100%에 근접하는 수량을 나타내어 여과액비 수경재배 활용시 40%의 화학양액을 절감하는 효과를 기대 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

연속회분식활성슬러지공법을 이용한 매립지 침출수와 하수의 병합처리에 관한 연구 (Study on the Combined Treatment of Municipal Leachate and Sewage by Sequencing Batch Reactor.)

  • An experimental research was conducted in order to study the treatability of leachate and a combined wastewater of municipal landfill leachate and municipal sewage. The landfill leachate was that of Nanjido landfill site, and the municipal sewage was obtained from Chungnang municipal sewage treatment plant of Seoul. Several sets of bench-scale sequencing batch reactor(SBR) were used as experimental apparatus. Specially investigated items in this experiment were the removal efficiency of substrate and the influence of the hydraulic retention time(HRT). The experiment lasted for about 8 months. The result are as follows ; 1) The characteristics of leachate were pH 7.4~8.1, BOD 280~450 mg/l, COD 1300 ~ 1350 mg/l, T-N 2021 ~2110 mg/1,7-P 2.7 ~3.2 mg/l, Cl-3540 ~4085 mg/l, and heavy metals are a very small amount. And the characteristics of sewage Ivere pH 6.9~7.3, BOD 78.4~129.3 mg/1, COD 121.2~305.0 mg/l, T-N 14.9~36.4 mg/l, T-P 1.3 ~5.9 mg/l. 2) The treatability of leachate alone was not treat well. So for the good treatment of leachate, it was necessary to deal with the pretreatment before biological treatment and a combined treatment of municipal serfage. 3) The various contents of the leachate were 5%, 10%, and 50% and the removal efficiency of COD was 86.0%, 82.8%, 60.6%, and 31.7%. The maximum content of the leachate which could be sucessfully treated by SBR in the combined treatment was 10% of that of sewage.

생활폐기물 매립장 침출수의 삼중수소 분포 (Tritium Distribution in Leachates from Domestic Solid Waste Landfills)

  • 생활폐기물을 매립, 처리하는 위생매립장에서 발생된 침출수의 삼중수소 분포 특성을 조사하기 위해 침출원수, 처리수 및 메탄가스응축수의 삼중수소 농도를 측정하였다. 또한 침출수 및 처리수의 콜로이드 크기에 따른 삼중수소의 용존특성을 조사하였다. 침출수의 주요 무기물 오염성분은 Na, K, Ca, Mg, 암모니아성 질소 및 염소이온이었다. 연구대상 매립장중 2개 매립장을 제외한 나머지 매립장의 침출수에서 환경준위보다 수십 내지 수백 배 이상 높은 농도의 삼중수소가 검출되었으며, 조사기간중 침출수의 평균 삼중수소 농도분포는 17 ~ 1196 TU였다. 메탄가스응축수 및 침출수 처리공정을 거친 처리수에서도 침출수와 비슷한 수준의 삼중수소가 검출되었다. 이와 같은 삼중수소의 농도는 삼중수소의 음용수 기준에 비해 약 100배 이상 낮은 수준임을 확인할 수 있었다. 침출수중 삼중수소는 대부분 $0.45{\mu}m$ 이하의 용해성 콜로이드에 분포되어 있었나, 일부는 $0.45{\mu}m$ 이상의 콜로이드에 분포되어 있는 것으로 추정되었다. 침출수의 삼중수소와 총유기성탄소가 상대적으로 높은 상관성을 나타내었다. 그러나 침출수의 삼중수소 농도는 매립장의 규모, 수문학적 특성 및 매립연령 등과 특별한 상관성이 없는 것으로 나타났다.

소규모 쓰레기 매립장 침출수의 효율적인 처리 방안에 관한 연구 (Effective Treatment System for the Leachate from a Small-Scale Municipal Waste Landfill)

  • This study was carried out to apply some basic physical and chemical treatment options including Fenton's oxidation, and to evaluate the performances and the characteristics of organic and nitrogen removal using lab-scale biological treatment system such as complete-mixing activated sludge and sequencing batch reactor(SBR) processes for the treatment of leachate from a municipal waste landfill in Gyeongnam province. The results were as follows: Chemical coagulation experiments using aluminium sulfate, ferrous sulfate and ferric chloride resulted in leachate CO $D_{Cr}$ removal of 32%, 23% and 21 % with optimum reaction dose ranges of 10,000~15,000 mg/$\ell$, 1,000 mg/$\ell$ and 500~2,000 mg/$\ell$, respectively. Fenton's oxidation required the optimum conditions including pH 3.5, 6 hours of reaction time, and hydrogen peroxide and ferrous sulfate concentrations of 2,000 ~ 3,000 mg/$\ell$ each with 1:1 weight ratio to remove more than 50% of COD in the leachate containing CO $D_{Cr}$ between 2,000 ~ 3,000 mg/$\ell$. Air-stripping achieved to remove more than 97% of N $H_3$-N in the leachate in spite of requiring high cost of chemicals and extensive stripping time, and, however, zeolite treatment removing 94% of N $H_3$-N showed high selectivity to N $H^{+}$ ion and much faster removal rate than air-stripping. The result from lab-scale experiment using a complete-mixing activated sludge process showed that biological treatability tended to increase more or less as HRT increased or F/M ratio decreased, and, however, COD removal efficiency was very poor by showing only 36% at HRT of 29 days. While COD removal was achieved more during Fenton's oxidation as compared to alum treatment for the landfill leachate, the ratio of BOD/COD after Fenton's oxidation considerably increased, and the consecutive activated sludge process significantly reduced organic strength to remove 50% of CO $D_{Cr}$ and 95% of BO $D_{5}$ . The SBR process was generally more capable of removing organics and nitrogen in the leachate than complete-mixing activated sludge process to achieve 74% removal of influent CO $D_{Cr}$ , 98% of BO $D_{5}$ and especially 99% of N $H_3$-N. However, organic removal rates of the SBR processes pre-treated with air-stripping and with zeolite were not much different with those without pre-treatment, and the SBR process treated with powdered activated carbon showed a little higher rate of CO $D_{Cr}$ removal than the process without any treatment. In conclusion, the biological treatment process using SBR proved to be the most applicable for the treatment of organic contents and nitrogen simultaneously and effectively in the landfill leachate.e.

  • An Experimental study was carried out to develop a simple method of processing copper waste sludge which is produced by PBC manufacturing. The procedure is based on leaching of wet sludge in 2N H$_2$SO$_4$, and the solid / liquid ratio is controlled approximately at 1/10. The recovery of copper is 85.4%, and pH of the leachate is 3.20. Adding ammonia solution into leachate forms ammine, and hydroxide compounds derived from other impurities in leachate at pH 10. The hydroxide compound can be treated by ferrite process, and the product is a stable oxide compound. Then the ammine solution is heated to evaporate ammonia, and the copper hydroxide is formed. Heating at 8$0^{\circ}C$by aeration, copper hydroxide is transformed into copper oxide with a purity of 98.4%. This process can recover most copper from sludge and the residue can be stabilized by the formation of a stable oxide compound which is not hazardous to environment.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the generation rates, composition, propertion and lower heating values of each material in the municipal solid wastes(MSW) as well as the effect of landfill leachate on the environment in Taejon. The results are as follows: 1. The annual average generation rate of MSW in Taejon is approximately 1.7kg/c.d. 2. The weight percent of combustible matters is on average 80 and the lower heating value of MSW is measured to be more than 1,700 kcal/kg after removing the briquette component. 3. It is necessary for us to take a proper management system for leachate treatment in the landfill because it has many problems in the sewage and groundwater. 4. It is recommeded that MSW be treated by multiple methods such as the sanitary landfill, resources and recovery, composting and incineration.

  • The low-pH biofiltration system in laboratory experiments demonstrate defective performance for treating H2S. When leachate pH was in the range of 1.5 to 4, the biofilters in three different media removed H2S wi th efficiencies greater than 99% while it was treated as a single contaminant. The posibility of using a single-stage low pH biofilter depends on its performance in treating VOCs. During Phase 2, a single-stage biofilter was effective for treating mixtures of H2S and toluene with toluene concentrations below 20ppm and leachate pH between 2 and 3.5. Biofiltration of xylene was ineffective when pH was lower than 1.5. The treatment system acclimated most slowly to benzene, and treatment of benzene was apparently subject to some competive inhibition from xylene and toluene. However. co-treatment was possible after some acclimation time. Xylene was not easily treated, with higher elimination capacities and no sign of competitive inhibition.
