Hausdorff Distance와 이미지정합 알고리듬을 이용한 물체인식 (Object Recognition Using Hausdorff Distance and Image Matching Algorithm)

  • The pixel information of the object was obtained sequentially and pixels were clustered to a label by the line labeling method. Feature points were determined by finding the slope for edge pixels after selecting the fixed number of edge pixels. The slope was estimated by the least square method to reduce the detection error. Once a matching point was determined by comparing the feature information of the object and the pattern, the parameters for translation, scaling and rotation were obtained by selecting the longer line of the two which passed through the matching point from left and right sides. Finally, modified Hausdorff Distance has been used to identify the similarity between the object and the given pattern. The multi-label method was developed for recognizing the patterns with more than one label, which performs the modified Hausdorff Distance twice. Experiments have been performed to verify the performance of the proposed algorithm and method for simple target image, complex target image, simple pattern, and complex pattern as well as the partially hidden object. It was proved via experiments that the proposed image matching algorithm for recognizing the object had a good performance of matching.

  • 본 논문에서는 3D CAD 설계도면의 저작권 보호를 위한 워터마킹 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법에서는 3D CAD 설계도면의 기본성분인 선, 호 및 다각형면 성분 내에 이진 워터마크를 각각 삽입한다. 삽입 대상 성분은 3개 성분들 중 임의로 선택되거나 도면 내에 각 성분 분포에 따라 선택되어진다. 우선 라인 성분에서는 삽입 대상 라인의 길이와 연결된 라인들의 평균 길이 비율에 워터마크가 삽입된다. 또한 아크 성분에서는 아크의 중점을 기준으로 곡률 반경에 워터마크가 삽입되고, 다각형면 성분에서는 두 면의 길이 비율에 워터마크가 삽입된다. 실험결과로부터 제안한 방법이 파일변환, 회전, 이동, 스케일링, 성분 제거 및 레이어 제거 등과 같은 공격에 대하여 견고하며, 워터마크가 삽입된 각 성분의 SNR이 39.89-42.50 dB임을 확인하였다.

Palatal en-masse retraction of segmented maxillary anterior teeth: A finite element study

  • Objective: The aim of this finite element study was to clarify the mechanics of tooth movement in palatal en-masse retraction of segmented maxillary anterior teeth by using anchor screws and lever arms. Methods: A three-dimensional finite element method was used to simulate overall orthodontic tooth movements. The line of action of the force was varied by changing both the lever arm height and anchor screw position. Results: When the line of action of the force passed through the center of resistance (CR), the anterior teeth showed translation. However, when the line of action was not perpendicular to the long axis of the anterior teeth, the anterior teeth moved bodily with an unexpected intrusion even though the force was transmitted horizontally. To move the anterior teeth bodily without intrusion and extrusion, a downward force passing through the CR was necessary. When the line of action of the force passed apical to the CR, the anterior teeth tipped counterclockwise during retraction, and when the line of action of the force passed coronal to the CR, the anterior teeth tipped clockwise during retraction. Conclusions: The movement pattern of the anterior teeth changed depending on the combination of lever arm height and anchor screw position. However, this pattern may be unpredictable in clinical settings because the movement direction is not always equal to the force direction.

RECTIFICATION OF PURE TRANSLATION 2D CAMERA ARRAY

  • In this paper, we propose a rectification method that can convert ray space data obtained by controlled camera array to ideal data. Here, Ideal data is obtained by getting longitudinal and transversal epipolar line between cameras vertical and horizontal. However it is actually difficult to arrange cameras strictly because we arrange cameras by hand. As conventional method, we have use camera-calibration method. But if we use this method there are some errors on the output image. When we generate arbitrary viewpoint images this error is critical problem. We focus attention on ideal trajectory of characteristic point. And to minimize the error directly we parallelize the real one. And we showed usefulness of proposed technique. Then using the proposed technique, we were successful reducing the error to less than 0.5 pixels.

선 기반 영상안정 방법에 관한 연구 (Line-based Image Stabilization)

  • 본 논문에서는 카메라 또는 카메라 플랫폼의 흔들림 등 외부 영향과 비디오 시퀀스내의 모션이 함께 존재할 경우 출렁이는 비디오를 전자적으로 안정화하는 방법을 제안한다. 일반적인 영상 안정 시스템은 모션 측정과 모션 보상의 두 과정으로 구성되는데 모션 측정에서는 프레임간 모션 모델을 가정하고 파라메타를 측정하며 모션 보상에서는 측정된 파라메타를 이용하여 모션을 보상한다. 영상 내에 카메라 모션 이외의 움직임이 있을 경우 파라메타의 측정을 일관성 없게 만들 수 있으므로 이를 해결하기 위해 MVSD(Motion Vector Scatter Diagram)에 기반한 영상 안정 방법이 제안되었다. 그러나 이 방법은 최적화 파라메타를 정량화 하는데 한계가 있고 또한 계산 시간이 오래 걸리는 단점이 있어 이의 해결을 위해 본 논문에서는 선 기반(Line-based) 영상 안정 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 먼저 기준 영상에서 median filter를 이용해 영상 내의 코너를 검출하고 특징적인 두 점을 선택하여 이를 선으로 연결한다. 현재 영상에서 correlation을 이용하여 상응하는 두 특징점을 찾고 subpixel 방법으로 정확한 위치를 계산하여 선을 구한다. 이 두 선을 일치시키는 과정에서 모션 파라메타를 구하는데 먼저 평행 이동을 통해 한쪽 글을 일치시키고 이 과정에서 translation x, y 파라메타를 구한다. 다음 단계에서 한 쪽 끝이 일치된 두 선이 이루는 각을 계산하여 rotation 파라메타를 구한다. 이 방법으로 구해진 파라메타를 이용하여 모션 보상을 함으로서 영상 안정을 이를 수 있었다.

광추적기와 내부 비전센서를 이용한 수술도구의 3차원 자세 및 위치 추적 시스템 (3D Orientation and Position Tracking System of Surgical Instrument with Optical Tracker and Internal Vision Sensor)

  • When surgical instruments are tracked in an image-guided surgical navigation system, a stereo vision system with high accuracy is generally used, which is called optical tracker. However, this optical tracker has the disadvantage that a line-of-sight between the tracker and surgical instrument must be maintained. Therefore, to complement the disadvantage of optical tracking systems, an internal vision sensor is attached to a surgical instrument in this paper. Monitoring the target marker pattern attached on patient with this vision sensor, this surgical instrument is possible to be tracked even when the line-of-sight of the optical tracker is occluded. To verify the system's effectiveness, a series of basic experiments is carried out. Lastly, an integration experiment is conducted. The experimental results show that rotational error is bounded to max $1.32^{\circ}$ and mean $0.35^{\circ}$, and translation error is in max 1.72mm and mean 0.58mm. Finally, it is confirmed that the proposed tool tracking method using an internal vision sensor is useful and effective to overcome the occlusion problem of the optical tracker.

Application of Deep Learning to Solar Data: 2. Generation of Solar UV & EUV images from magnetograms

  • In this study, we apply conditional Generative Adversarial Network, which is one of the deep learning method, to the image-to-image translation from solar magentograms to solar UV and EUV images. For this, we train a model using pairs of SDO/AIA 9 wavelength UV and EUV images and their corresponding SDO/HMI line-of-sight magnetograms from 2011 to 2017 except August and September each year. We evaluate the model by comparing pairs of SDO/AIA images and corresponding generated ones in August and September. Our results from this study are as follows. First, we successfully generate SDO/AIA like solar UV and EUV images from SDO/HMI magnetograms. Second, our model has pixel-to-pixel correlation coefficients (CC) higher than 0.8 except 171. Third, our model slightly underestimates the pixel values in the view of Relative Error (RE), but the values are quite small. Fourth, considering CC and RE together, 1600 and 1700 photospheric UV line images, which have quite similar structures to the corresponding magnetogram, have the best results compared to other lines. This methodology can be applicable to many scientific fields that use several different filter images.

스플라인 곡선을 이용한 막구조물의 재단도 작성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Cutting Pattern Generation of Membrane Structures Using Spline Curves)

  • 막 구조물은 일반적인 설계와는 달리 형상해석, 응력변형해석 및 재단도 과정을 수행하여야만 설계가 가능하다. 처음 두 과정과는 달리 재단은 3차원 곡면을 최소 오차를 가진 평면 스트립을 형성하는 과정이다. 경제적인 이유로 재단 선은 주로 측지선을 이용하여 작성된다. 그러나 일반적으로 측지선은 초기 형상탐색에서 구성된 삼각형 요소의 정보에서 추출됨으로 부드러운 곡선이 아니며, 불규칙한 직선이다. 그러므로 어떻게 불규칙한 직선을 곡선으로 표현할 것인가가 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 스플라인 함수를 이용한 보간 방법을 재단도 생성에 적용하였다. 이를 위해서 삼차 스플라인 함수, B-스플라인 함수 및 최소자승 스플라인 함수의 세 가지 경우에 대해서 고찰하고, 단순 모델 및 카테나리 모델을 대상으로 재단도 작성 결과를 검토하였다. 단순모델의 해석요소수와 추출된 불연속 절점 수에 따른 보간 곡선 비교결과는 요소수가 큰 경우 추출된 절점의 수가 적은 것이 효과적이며, 최소자승 보간이 다른 방법보다 더 부드러운 재단 경계선을 제공한다.

On-Line Blind Channel Normalization for Noise-Robust Speech Recognition

  • A new data-driven method for the design of a blind modulation frequency filter that suppresses the slow-varying noise components is proposed. The proposed method is based on the temporal local decorrelation of the feature vector sequence, and is done on an utterance-by-utterance basis. Although the conventional modulation frequency filtering approaches the same form regardless of the task and environment conditions, the proposed method can provide an adaptive modulation frequency filter that outperforms conventional methods for each utterance. In addition, the method ultimately performs channel normalization in a feature domain with applications to log-spectral parameters. The performance was evaluated by speaker-independent isolated-word recognition experiments under additive noise environments. The proposed method achieved outstanding improvement for speech recognition in environments with significant noise and was also effective in a range of feature representations.

균일한 곡물이송을 위한 색채 선별기용 리니어 피더의 개발 (Development of the Linear Feeder for Uniform Transportation of Grains)

  • The purpose of this study is to develope a linear feeder for uniform transportation of grains and to present its design guide line. so, It is measured the displacement of the front and rear aspect of the feeder in time domain. And the measured time signal is represented to the plane coordinate. From this process, it is presented the motion of the feeder in a harmonic excited condition. Also, It is determined whether translation motion or rotation motion. From these course, it is defined the optimized dynamic motion for uniform transportation of grains. It is included a ratio of the displacement and the angle which the dynamic motion between the front and rear aspect of the feeder.
