A Study on Coupling Coefficient Between Rail and Reinforcing Bars in Concrete Slab Track (콘크리트 슬래브궤도에서 레일과 철근 사이의 결합계수에 대한 연구)

  • Railway signaling system in a rapid transit using the ATC system the approved a speed limit to a train and a part of signaling system in a metro approved a distance which is possible to move. Referring to the way of transmitting train control information, there are the one transmitting it to the on-board system of a train using the direct track, the another transmitting it establishing an instrument, and the other transmitting an instrument by a railway track. The one is the method using the direct track as a conductor for composing the part of the track and attaining the information controlling a train by transmitting a signal to the track. It is used for the high-speed railway and the subway. The method using the track attains information by transmitting it to returned information, and the on-board system of a train attains it by magnetic coupling. Because many reinforcing bars on the concrete slab track are used, interaction between a rail and a reinforcing bar that is not produced on ballast track is made. Due to the interaction, the electric characteristic of rail is changed. In the current paper, we numerically computed the coupling coefficient between the rail and the reinforcing bar based on the concrete slab track throughout the model related to the rail and the reinforcing bar using the concrete slab track that is used in the second interval of the Gyeongbu high-speed railway, and we defined the coupling coefficient not changed in the electric characteristic of rail in the condition that there is no interaction between the rail and the reinforcing bar.

Marriage Intention AmongNever-Married Men and Women in Korea (미혼남녀의 결혼의향 비교분석)

  • Patterns and changes of marriage have drawn much attention as they have been pointed out a key factor of low fertility. Nonetheless, systematic studies on marriage have been quite limited. This study, using recent nationwide survey on marriage and fertility, attempts to explain whether and how intention of marriage would differ between never married men and never married women. The logit regression analysis reveals that the likelihood of planning marriage between both sexes are still different even after controlling demographic characteristics, economic status, household and family background, and attitudes toward sex and premarital cohabitation. Furthermore, important factors affecting the likelihood of planning marriage turns out to be different between men and women. For instance, men with a job is more likely than men without a job to plan marriage. However, for women, the effect of having a job is not found. Such result, with other sex differential effects of living arrangement and attitudinal variable, suggests that the mechanism through which men and women transit from singlehood to marriage would differ. More attention on gender differential should be paid in developing conceptual arguments and conducting empirical analysis regarding marriage and its related topics.

  • In recent years, it was recognized that aurban policy paradigm of sustainable urban growth management and transportation policies have been shifted : from the era of automobile-oriented policy to the era of public transport policy. Against this backdrop, the introduction of the multi-modal transfer center is very consequential. Therefore, it is necessary for the introduction of wide-area and local-centric transfer facilities, as well as the center of the country-led national backbone transfer center. This study was applicable at the multi-modal transfer center plans to introduce guidelines to provide transit facilities, considering the regional and functional characteristics to classify the types of multi-modal transfer center. The final types of multi-modal transfer center were classified into six, and by considering the combination of the criteria to be classified. The multi-modal transfer center type classification based on the case analysis of the types of facilities at domestic and abroad. If the data of multi-modal transfer are accumulated continuously, can expect a more reliable type classification.

Effects of Resistant Starch on Gut Functions and Plasma Lipid Profiles in Rats Fed High Fat Diet (난소화성전분의 섭취가 고지방식이를 섭취한 흰쥐에서 장 기능과 혈액지방에 미치는 영향)

  • We have investigated the intestinal functions and hypolipidemic effects of resistant starch (RS) in rats. Experimental groups were CON (cooked starch 45% + RS 7%), RSIO (cooked starch 35% +RS 10%), RS20 (cooked starch 25%+RS20%), and RS30 (cooked starch 15%+RS 30%). The weight gains during experimental period were slightly decreased by intake of resistant starch and the weights of epididymal fat pad were lower in resistant starch intake groups than in CON, although the difference was not significant. In intestinal functions, water contents of fecal, transit time and colon cell proliferation were affected by resistant starch. Plasma total lipid and triglyceride concentrations were significantly decreased, dose-dependently, by resistant starch intake. Conclusively, it is important to intake resistant starch in order to decrease plasma lipids and to improve intestinal functions.

  • In order to evaluate menopausal syndrome objectively, examinations were performed as follows: 1) Simplified Menopausal Index (SMI Koyama) and QOL questionnaire (Nagata) were examined subjectively. 2) Urine 17-KS-5 (S Nishikaze), 17-OHCS (OH) were examined objectively. 3) A mobile telemedical device with EKG and KSG was lent to Patients. The subjects were 48 menopausal patients who visited our university hospital as outpatients. According to the results of 5, OH, the subjects were divided into 4 Groups; Group I is high S & high OH, Group ll low S & low OH, Group 111 is low S & high OH, Group tl is high S & low OH. Group IH was the largest (64.6%), Group of was none. The subjects showed significantly lower QOL condition and higher score of SMI. In the QOL, questionnaire items of fixation to physical status (psychogenic reaction), sleep (insomnia), pain(chronic pain) were in common. In SMI, functional vascular symptoms were the largest number. On treatment, Group I was considered to have no need for supplementary agents, but anti-Oketsu agents was prescribed. For Group ll and in some supplementary agents such as red ginseng were prescribed, because they showed low 5. In conclusion, all the groups showed a sign- nificant improvement of QOL and SMI. Group I showed a decrease of OH, Group ll showed an increase of 5, Group In showed an increase of S and SIOH and a decrease of OH. These phenomena were considered prohomeostatic. In QOL, the items of chronic pain, insomnia and appetite were improved. In SMI, chillness, dyspnea, palpitation, pain and fatigability were improved. In mobile tole-medical device, abnormal findings were found in 88.2% of patients. General sdaptation syndrome (Selye, H.) is considered to adjust human life. Menopause is the transit period to exhausted stage in it. So its symptoms vary from person to person. In conclusion, 5 and OH are useful both for classification of menopausal syndrome and for determining treatments according to the classification

  • Recently, the research to visualize and to reproduce evacuation situations such as terrorism, the disaster and fire indoor space has been come into the spotlight and designing a model for interior space and reliable analysis through safety evaluation of the life is required. Therefore, this paper aims to develop simulation model which is able to suggest evacuation route guidance and safety analysis by considering the major risk factor of fire in actual building. First of all, we designed 3D-based fire and evacuation model at a subway station building in Incheon and performed fire risk analysis through thermal parameters on the basis of interior materials supplied by Incheon Transit Corporation. In order to evaluate safety of a life, ASET (Available Safe Egress Time), which is the time for occupants to endure without damage, and RSET (Required Safe Egress Time) are calculated through evacuation simulation by Fire Dynamics Simulator. Finally, we can come to the conclusion that a more realistic safety assessment is carried out through indoor space model based on 3-dimension building information and simulation analysis applied by safety guideline for measurement of fire and evacuation risk.

The Design of Feature Selection Classifier based on Physiological Signal for Emotion Detection (감성판별을 위한 생체신호기반 특징선택 분류기 설계)

  • The emotion plays a critical role in human's daily life including learning, action, decision and communication. In this paper, emotion discrimination classifier is designed to reduce system complexity through reduced selection of dominant features from biosignals. The photoplethysmography(PPG), skin temperature, skin conductance, fontal and parietal electroencephalography(EEG) signals were measured during 4 types of movie watching associated with the induction of neutral, sad, fear joy emotions. The genetic algorithm with support vector machine(SVM) based fitness function was designed to determine dominant features among 24 parameters extracted from measured biosignals. It shows maximum classification accuracy of 96.4%, which is 17% higher than that of SVM alone. The minimum error features selected are the mean and NN50 of heart rate variability from PPG signal, the mean of PPG induced pulse transit time, the mean of skin resistance, and ${\delta}$ and ${\beta}$ frequency band powers of parietal EEG. The combination of parietal EEG, PPG, and skin resistance is recommendable in high accuracy instrumentation, while the combinational use of PPG and skin conductance(79% accuracy) is affordable in simplified instrumentation.

  • Walking is the most basic personal mobility and its importance and concern is ever increasing with the highlighting of a new paradigm, such as transit oriented development, sustainable development and revitalization of green transport. The existing analytical research on pedestrian network is using a pedestrian's moving distance to a destination and integration in space syntax theory as its representative accessibility factors. However, the uniplanar network moving distance fails to reflect topographic characteristics, so the moving distance could show a similar result value in case of the regions for analysis that have a similar network structure to each other. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to suggest a new analytical methodology on pedestrian network accessibility in consideration of the grade in pedestrian sections and a pedestrian's size. this study, in its analysis of a uniplanar pedestrian network moving distance, analyzed the pedestrian network moving distance in consideration of the grade in pedestrian sections, and even the pedestrian network moving distance in consideration of a pedestrian's size, and suggested the methodology on pedestrian network accessibility analysis in consideration of a more substantive pedestrian's characteristics. It is hoped that the methodology used by this study will be used as the methodology on pedestrian network analysis which can reflect topographic characteristics in the pedestrian network analysis, and take a more substantive pedestrian's movement into account.

  • Real-time processing of sensor data network, is one of the important factors. Each node in the detected data are required to be transmitted within a certain time since the accurate processing is possible. Thus, the data nodes are successfully delivered within a specified time, it is very important to check whether the. Recently more and more accurate real-time embedded systems are reliable and haejyeoseo been able to provide sophisticated services. Because of the inherent complexity of embedded systems in the physical world and the difficulty of predicting the difficulty of a safe design constraints on the runtime violation of system as to cause unexpected causes. Each node data in time detected by the time required to be passed in the appropriate processing is possible because the data transfer time in this paper, the monitoring of the sensor network through a node are allowed to exist within the time range and transmits data to the server Analysis of the data transfer time for checking whether the system was implemented. Implementation of the data transmission time to the process for analyzing and presenting, according to the procedure suggested by the transit time required for analysis a time difference analysis method, a data collection method and a data transmission time and transmission time calculating method presented.

  • Network solutions for protecting against worm attacks that complement partial end system patch deployment is a pressing problem. In the content-based worm filtering, the challenges focus on the detection accuracy and its performance enhancement problem. We present a worm filter architecture using the bloom filter for deployment at high-speed transit points on the Internet, including firewalls and gateways. Content-based packet filtering at multi-gigabit line rates, in general, is a challenging problem due to the signature explosion problem that curtails performance. We show that for worm malware, in particular, buffer overflow worms which comprise a large segment of recent outbreaks, scalable -- accurate, cut-through, and extensible -- filtering performance is feasible. We demonstrate the efficacy of the design by implementing it on an Intel IXP network processor platform with gigabit interfaces. We benchmark the worm filter network appliance on a suite of current/past worms, showing multi-gigabit line speed filtering prowess with minimal footprint on end-to-end network performance.
