모바일 환경에서 지도 서비스를 위한 공간 객체 변환기의 개발 (Development of Spatial Object Converter for a Map Services in Mobile Environment)

  • 국가 지리 정보 시스템에 의해 국가 기본 지형도가 DXF 포맷으로 제작되어 있고, CAD로 작성된 정보들이 풍부하며 스캐너를 이용하여 쉽게 데이터를 획득 가능함으로 기존의 DXF 파일의 수입은 비용과 시간을 절약한다. 또한, 지형도와 같은 공간 데이터를 GIS를 위한 중간 파일인 PostScript와 같은 포맷으로 변환하여 다른 시스템으로 수출이 가능하도록 하여야 한다. 이를 위해, 본 논문에서는 DXF 포맷으로 작성된 파일을 MVF로 수입하고, 다시 PostScript로 수출하기 위하여 공간 객체 변환기를 구성하는 3개의 단위 모듈인 파일 처리 모듈, MVF 수입 모듈, 그리고 MVF 수출 모듈들을 설계 및 구현하였다. 그리고 DXF 파일로 되어 있는 지형도에 대해서 실제 변환을 검증해 보았다.

토털스테이션을 이용한 PDA기반의 매핑시스템 개발 (The Development of PDA_based Mapping System Using Totalstation)

  • 본 연구는 PDA기반의 측량용 매핑시스템을 개발하여 수치지형도를 기반으로 한 측량성과의 수정 및 갱신의 편리성을 증대시키고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 토털스테이션과 연계한 PDA의 무선통신모듈을 개발하고 이의 효용성을 증대시키기 위한 컨텐츠를 개발하였다. 측량성과 제출용 텍스트 파일의 변환 모듈과 PC에서의 도면 편집을 위해 dxf형식의 데이터 변화 모듈을 구현하였다. 그리고 도면 레이어 제어를 통한 수치지형도의 중첩 및 갱신 모듈을 구현하였다. 구축 시스템은 현장에서 측량성과의 실시간 도면화 및 좌표 측정을 가능하게 하여 공간위치정보 측정분야에 유용하게 활용될 것이다.

Wide Air-gap Control for Multi-module Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motors without Magnetic Levitation Windings

  • This paper proposes a wide air-gap control method for the multi-module permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (MM-PMLSM) based on independent vector control. In particular, the MM-PMLSM consists of symmetrical multi-module and multi-phase structures, which are basically three-phase configurations without a neutral point, unlike conventional three-phase machines. In addition, there are no additional magnetic levitation windings to control the normal force of the air-gap between each stator and mover. Hence, in this paper, a dq-axis current control applying a d-q transformation and an independent vector control are proposed for the air-gap control between the two symmetric stators and mover of the MM-PMLSM. The characteristics and control performance of the MM-PMLSM are analyzed under the concept of vector control. As a result, the proposed method is easily implemented without additional windings to control the air-gap and the mover position. The effectiveness of the proposed independent vector control algorithm is verified through experimental results.

3차원 생물체 가시화 모델 구축장치 개발 및 성능평가 (Development and Evaluation of System for 3D Visualization Model of Biological Objects)

  • Nondestructive methods such as ultrasonic and magnetic resonance imaging systems have many advantages but still much expensive. And they do not give exact color information and may miss some details. If it is allowed to destruct a biological object to obtain interior and exterior informations, 3D image visualization model from a series of sliced sectional images gives more useful information with relatively low cost. In this paper, a PC based automatic 3D visualization system is presented. The system is composed of three modules. The first module is the handling and image acquisition module. The handling module feeds and slices a cylindrical shape paraffin, which holds a biological object inside the paraffin. And the paraffin is kept being solid by cooling while being handled. The image acquisition modulo captures the sectional image of the object merged into the paraffin consecutively. The second one is the system control and interface module, which controls actuators for feeding, slicing, and image capturing. And the last one is the image processing and visualization module, which processes a series of acquired sectional images and generates a 3D volumetric model. To verify the condition for the uniform slicing, normal directional forces of the cutting edge according to the various cutting angles were measured using a strain gauge and the amount of the sliced chips were weighed and analyzed. Once the 3D model was constructed on the computer, user could manipulate it with various transformation methods such as translation, rotation, and scaling including arbitrary sectional view.

Development of Automatic System for 3D Visualization of Biological Objects

If it is allowed to destruct some biological objects to get interior and exterior informations, constructing 3D image form a series of slices sectional images gives more useful information with relatively low cost. In this paper, a PC based automatic 3D model generator was developed. The system was composed of three modules. The first module was the object handling and image acquisition module, which fed and sliced the object sequentially and maintains the paraffine cool to be in solid state and captures the sectional image consecutively. The second one was the system control and interface module, which controls actuators for feeding, slicing, and image capturing. And the last was the image processing and visualization module, which processed a series of acquired sectional images and generated 3D volumetric model. Handling module was composed of the gripper, which grasped and fed the object and the cutting device, which cuts the object by moving cutting edge forward and backward. sliced sectional images were acquired and saved in a form of bitmap file. 2D sectional image files were segmented from the background paraffine and utilized to generate the 3D model. Once 3-D model was constructed on the computer, user could manipulated it with various transformation methods such as translation, rotation, scaling including arbitrary sectional view.

적층형 통신 모듈을 이용한 산업용 통신 게이트웨이 설계 (Design of Industrial Communication Gateway Using Additive Layer Type Communication Module)

  • 산업 통신에는 다양한 네트워크가 있으며 여러 가지 통신 방식을 사용한다. 기업에서는 생산 라인 확장, 공장 업그레이드, 네트워크 세분화, 시스템 통합 등을 위하여 산업용 장치와 네트워크 간에 통신 변환이 필요하다. 이것은 많은 제조회사가 제작한 설계자가 다른 다양한 기계 장치를 네트워크에 연결하고 전송하기 위하여 데이터 또는 프로토콜 변환을 위한 통신 장비가 제공되어야함을 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 적층형 통신 모듈을 사용하여 산업 통신 프로토콜 변환을 지원할 수 있는 산업용 통신 게이트웨이를 설계하였다. 제작된 게이트웨이는 RS485 시리얼 통신을 이용하는 개별 통신 모듈을 다층으로 연결하는 구조를 가지고 있다. 각각의 통신 모듈은 아날로그 데이터 카드, 디지털 데이터 카드, CAN 및 LAN 지원 카드로 구성하였다. 메인 보드 프로세서는 Atmega micro-processor를 사용하였고, RS485 시리얼 슬롯을 배치하여 적층형 통신 모듈 구조를 가지도록 하였다. 본 논문에서 제작된 적층형 산업용 통신 게이트웨이는 아날로그 및 디지털 I/O 기능과 CAN과 LAN을 지원할 수 있기 때문에 산업용 통신 제어 및 모니터링에 폭넓게 활용될 수 있다.

  • If one can easily modify the existing motion data to a new motion in making an animation movie, he can save a lot of time for graphic design. To implement this kind of system, we propose a PC-based system composed of low cost commercial animation tool (3D Studio Max) for visualization of the animation and motion editing module that handles optimization process during the motion transform. Researchers studying advanced motion transform techniques only have to focus on the mathematical manipulation of the motion data
