강원지역 계곡의 물리적 특성 및 고요함 분석 (Analysis of the Physical Characteristics and Tranquility of the Valley in Gangwon Province)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the physical characteristics and tranquility of the valleys located in Gangwon region. For this study we analyzed the field survey data 135 valleys using GIS. The elements for measurement of tranquility were divided into visual elements including terrain, objects, forest, water and auditory elements including noise. These elements were divided further into positive and negative factors. The weight of each element and item was calculated by applying the AHP method. The results of this study are as follows. The length of the valley ranged from 126 m to 17 km, and the elevation ranged from 40 m to 1,800 m. Type of mixed forest was common in the valleys. The depth of the water was over 20 cm in 83% of the total area and most of the water was in good condition in visual quality. Regarding the positive factors of tranquility, the weighted scores of the objects, waterfall sounds and visual transparence of the water were of relatively high value. Relatively high values were also shown in closed and curved topography in the landform, forest type and natural forests. In the negative factors, the weights of the objects and forest elements had high values. Within the facility groups, facility of the river produced a considerable negative. After applying the index of tranquility, the natural physical attributes affected the tranquility value, more than the manmade structures to a much greater degree.

  • This study examined the port expansion plan for the fishery port at the east coast of Korea, in accordance with permission conditions for coastal ports such as a limit on the cargo volume and passenger demand for the coastal tourism belt formation. The site was chosen as a municipal coastal port attracting the new ocean industry and building waterfront zone as a hub of new marine tourism. Two different numerical models (Swan and Bouss 2D) were used. Before applying to the target sea area, some numerical tests were conducted for the variation according to Bouss-2D's strong/weak and nonlinear technique compared to the irregular diffraction of semi-infinite breakwater with a theoretical solution. As a result, there was a difference in strong nonlinearity with breaking waves and it was necessary to experiment with a strong nonlinear analysis technique for the actual site. Two numerical models were applied to the fishery port site and the tranquility of some alternatives were analyzed. The numerical results show the most suitable plan was ALT-1, with satisfied harbor tranquility and reasonable economic sense. The extension of the east breakwater and enlarged turning basin of the F-Land plan have brought generally more stable harbor tranquility than the ALT-1. The result can be used as a reference for the port expansion plan in the future.

어항의 정온도 향상과 수질개선을 위한 기초적 연구 (A Fundamental Study on the Improvement of Harbour Tranquility and Water Quality of Fishing Port)

  • The purpose of this research is to develop the design/control method that can be used for the improvement of harbour tranquility and water quality of fishing ports. For this end, firstly, the hydraulic environmental characteristics of fishing ports in the coastal waters of the Korean Peninsula are analysed and discussed combined with disasters of facilities and vessels in the ports. Secondly the problems of water quality control is pointed out considered with the improvement measures of harbour tranquility such as the methods of lengthen of main breakwaters and construction of wave absorbing structures. Finally, the control characteristics of composite functions of water quality and tranquility of fishing port are discussed and the improved control method si proposed using the experimental results for the various measures. The proposed measure is proved to be a applicable method to improve these two main functions on the design of fishing port.

  • The main external force of the harbor in east coast is wave. So, wave is the important cause of wave induced current and sediment transport due to wave in planning harbor structures. Therefore, it must be considered not only to secure the harbor tranquility but also the sediment transport due to wave induced current in planning the harbor. In this study, we studied on the influences of construction procedure on harbor tranquility and siltation using annual coastal line data and bathymetry data near breakwater. And it suggests that the construction procedure for the harbor tranquility and the best way for the decrease of harbor siltation.

단주기 불규칙파에 의한 금진항 정온도 개선대책 연구 (Research on improvement measures of Harbor tranquility in Geumjin Fishing Port Excited by Incident Short Random Waves)

  • Most of the short period waves are blocked by the breakwaters when the short period irregular waves propagate into the ports. However, nonlinear irregular wave numerical experiments show that the long waves generated by the nonlinear interaction is predominant in the port. Seiches phenomenon in Geumjin Fishing Port is very similar to 60 and 300 second harbor oscillations. By arranging the inner breakwater of the proper length in the inside of the port, it is possible to effectively reduce seiches, as well as the short-period wave, and significantly improve the harbor tranquility. In the case of rectangular basin type such as the Geumjin Fishing Port, the multi-directional irregular wave numerical model should be used for the investigation and countermeasures for the harbor tranquility.

Field investigations on port non-tranquility caused by infra-gravity water waves

  • Field investigations have been carried out in two 60-day stages on the surf beat low frequency waves in Anzali port, one of the main commercial ports in Iran, located in southwest coast of the Caspian Sea. The characteristics of significant water waves were measured at three metering stations in the sea, one at the entrance of the port and three in the basin. The measured data were inspected to investigate the surf beat negative effects on the tranquility of the port. Using field measurements and complementary numerical modeling, the response of the basin to the infra-gravity long waves was inspected for a range of wave frequencies. It was concluded that the water surface fluctuations in the port is strongly related to the incident wave period. The long waves with periods of about 45s were recognized as the worst cases for water surfaceperturbation in the port. For wave periods higher than the mentioned range, the order of fluctuation was generally low.

항만정온도 추정방법 개선방안 검토 (Review of the Improvement of the Estimation Method of Harbor Tranquility)

  • 우리나라의 항만정온도 검토 방법에는 이상 시 항내정온도 검토와 항만가동율 검토 등이 있으며 대부분의 경우에 두 가지 방법을 모두 수행하고 있다. 전자에서는 정온도 기준을 합리적인 근거가 없는 항내파고 절대치로 판단하고 있는 문제점이 있으며 그 실효성에도 의문이 제기된다. 후자에서는 초과출현율 파 또는 장기간의 실측 및 역추산 자료의 파향-주기군을 사용하여 항만가동율을 산정하는 방법 등이 사용되고 있는데 이들 중 초과출현율 파의 사용은 정확도에 문제가 있으므로 장기간 자료를 사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 또한, 현재 적용되는 하역한계파고의 기준은 너무 단순하여 실제 상황을 반영하는데 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 부산항 신항에서 관측한 파고 실측자료를 사용하여 현행 항만정온도 및 항만가동율 검토방법의 문제점을 실질적으로 입증하였으며 실측자료의 중요성을 강조하였다. 향후 우리나라 주요 항만 내 외에서 장기간의 실측 자료를 확보함으로써 개선된 항만정온도 기준을 마련하는데 적극적으로 활용하는 것이 바람직하다.

포항신항 도제 축조에 따른 정온도 개선 효과분석 (Evaluation of Harbour Tranquility Improvement in Pohang New Port by Detached Breakwater)

  • 포항신항이 단계별로 완공된 후 제기되어 온 항내정온도 불량 문제는 항만가동율 저하의 주요 원인으로 제기되어 왔으며 이의 개선을 위해 2018~2020년 포항신항 외항방파제의 외해 측에 도제(Detached breakwater)를 건설하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도제의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 도제 설치 전후로 취득된 항내외의 파랑 관측자료를 분석하여 항내에서의 파고감소율을 비교한 결과를 제시한다. 먼저 이전 수치모델 연구를 통해 예측된 파고는 항내 4개 지점 중 3개 지점에서 관측값과 비슷하게 나타났으며 나머지 1개 지점에서의 오차는 수치모델이 부두 안쪽에 발생하는 중복파 현상을 잘 재현하지 못했기 때문으로 판단된다. 도제 건설 전후 기간의 관측값을 비교한 결과 도제 설치가 항내정온도 개선에 기여한 것으로 나타났는데, 항내 4개 관측지점 모두에서 포항신항 정온 목표파고인 0.3 m를 초과하는 파고의 출현빈도가 도제 건설 후에 크게 감소하였다. 또한 항내외 파고를 비교한 항내 파고 감소율도 모든 파향에 대해 도제 건설 후에 유의미하게 개선된 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 적절하게 설치된 연안구조물이 항내정온도 향상에 기여하는 효과를 증명한 것으로 향후 유사한 경우의 문제 해결에 유용하게 적용될 수 있음을 보여준다.

다방향 입사파의 쌍곡형 수치모형에 의한 포항신항내 항내정온도 분석 (Analysis of Harbor Tranquility in Pohang New Harbor Using a Hyperbolic Model with Multi-Directional Incoming Waves)

  • 포한신항내 2개 정점에서의 현장관측자료와 수치실험 결과를 비교·검증하여 쌍곡형 수치모형의 적용성을 검토하였다. 단일 방향 규칙파를 입사파 조건으로 사용한 경우 정점 P2, P3에서 관측치와의 오차가 각각 약 12,26%로 제시되었으며, 다방향 성분파를 입사파 조건으로 사용한 경우 2개 정점에서의 오차가 각각 약 4,16%로 나타나 대략 9% 개선된 결과를 얻었다. 포항신항의 1994년의 평면 배치와 제4 투기장 완공후의 평면 배치에 대하여 다방향 성분파를 입사파 조건으로 하여 항내정온도의 개선 상태를 평가하였다. 그 결과, 제4 투기장계획에서 연장된 200m의 북방파제만으로는 제7 부두에서 하역불능시간이 긴 문제를 해결하기가 어려울 것으로 사료된다.
