This study examined the mounting status of cigar lighter receptacles for vehicles and analyzed the tracking phenomenon that occurs when foreign material entered a cigar lighter receptacle to obtain data for the analysis of accident investigation. Regardless of the vehicle's output, cigar lighter receptacles are mounted in a vehicle horizontally, vertically, or at tilting or inclined angle. The tilting type cigar lighter receptacle is much easier to use but current leakage resulting from foreign materials (coffee, beverages, water, etc.) falling into the cigar lighter receptacle may cause a fire to start. This study used a vehicle battery (DC 12V) as a power supply for the tracking test and configured its circuit in the same way as that of an electrical device in a vehicle. The tracking phenomenon that occurred in the standby mode of the vehicle exhibited a fine flame and an irregular occurrence of smoke. While this tracking phenomenon was occurring, the leakage current and the reaching distance of the flame were measured to be approximately 930mA and $20{\sim}50cm$, respectively. It is thought that the resultant flame may ignite toluene, dust, cigarettes, etc. It was observed that as the tracking progressed, the internal metal socket melted and a hole was created, the surface of which was also severely carbonized. In addition, the electrical resistance of the carbonized conductive path was measured to be approximately $30{\Omega}$. It is thought that this much resistance may cause local heating when leakage current flows and could ignite any nearby flammable material.

In this paper, a robust correlation-based video tracking is proposed to track a moving object in correlated image sequences. A correlation-based video tracking algorithm seeks to align the incoming target image with the reference target block image, but has critical problems, so called a false-peak problem and a drift phenomenon (correlator walk-off. The false-peak problem is generally caused by highly correlated background pixels with similar intensity of a moving target and the drift phenomenon occurs when tracking errors accumulate from frame to frame because of the nature of the correlation process. At first, the false-peaks problem for the ordinary correlation-based video tracking is investigated using a simple mathematical analysis. And, we will suggest a robust selective-attention correlation measure with a gradient preprocessor combined by a drift removal compensator to overcome the walk-off problem. The drift compensator adaptively controls the template block size according to the target size of interest. The robustness of the proposed method for practical application is demonstrated by simulating two real-image sequences.

In this paper, we proposed tracking detection methodology using information granulation-based fuzzy radial basis function neural networks (IG-FRBFNN). According to IEC 60112, tracking device is manufactured and utilized for experiment. We consider 12 features that can be used to decide whether tracking phenomenon happened or not. These features are considered by signal processing methods such as filtering, Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) and Wavelet. Such some effective features are used as the inputs of the IG-FRBFNN, the tracking phenomenon is confirmed by using the IG-FRBFNN. The learning of the premise and the consequent part of rules in the IG-FRBFNN is carried out by Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) clustering algorithm and weighted least squares method (WLSE), respectively. Also, Hierarchical Fair Competition-based Parallel Genetic Algorithm (HFC-PGA) is exploited to optimize the IG-FRBFNN. Effective features to be selected and the number of fuzzy rules, the order of polynomial of fuzzy rules, the fuzzification coefficient used in FCM are optimized by the HFC-PGA. Tracking inference engine is implemented by using the LabVIEW and loaded into embedded system. We show the superb performance and feasibility of the tracking detection system through some experiments.
Tracking, which is one of the main causes of electrical fires, is perceived as a physical phenomenon of electrical discharge. Hence tracking should be explained based on electric field analysis, conduction path by electron generation, and gas discharge physics. However, few papers have considered these details. This paper proposes a tracking mechanism including their effects on tracking progress. In order to prove this mechanism, a tracking experiment, an electric field analysis for the carbonization evolution model, and an explanation of the tracking process by gas discharge physics were conducted. From the tracking experiment, the current waveforms were measured at each stage of the tracking progress from corona discharge to tracking breakdown. The electric field analysis was carried out in order to determine the electric field on the surface of a dry-band and the high electric field region for electron generation during the generation and progress of carbonization. In this paper, the proposed tracking mechanism consisted of six stages including electron avalanche by corona discharge, accumulation of positive ions, expansion of electron avalanche, secondary electron emission avalanche, streamer, and tracking by conductive path. The pulse current waveforms measured in the tracking experiment can be explained by the proposed tracking mechanism. The results of this study will be used as the technical data to detect tracking phenomenon, which is the cause of electric fire, and to improve the proof tracking index.

Recent research in MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) and wireless communication has enabled tracking of continuous objects, including fires, nuclear explosions and bio-chemical material diffusions. This paper proposes an energy-efficient scheme that detects and tracks different dynamic shapes of a continuous object (i.e., the inner and outer boundaries of a continuous object). EBCO (Efficient Boundary detection and tracking of Continuous Objects in WSNs) exploits the sensing capabilities of sensor nodes by automatically adjusting the sensing range to be either a boundary sensor node or not, instead of communicating to its neighboring sensor nodes because radio communication consumes more energy than adjusting the sensing range. The proposed scheme not only increases the tracking accuracy by choosing the bordering boundary sensor nodes on the phenomenon edge, but it also minimizes the power consumption by having little communication among sensor nodes. The simulation result shows that our proposed scheme minimizes the energy consumption and achieves more precise tracking results than existing approaches.
This study introduced speical characteristics of an epidemiologic study on blood pressure and compared several statistical methods for evaluating the tracking phenomenon of blood pressure for Korean children. While correlation coefficients adjusted for measurement error are commonly used for the evaluation of tracking, it is hard to interpretate the results when correlation functions for lag-difference are not monotonous. McMahan defined a tracking as maintenance of relative rank over time and calculated tracking index usng growth curve model. The tracking index in McMahan's model is complicate to calculate, and it is hard to determine the degree of growth curve parameter. Blomqvist showed the relationship between the rate of change and the initial value. This concept could be extended for the evaluation of tracking. However, it is not so easy to interpretate the estimates in his model when those are non-positive.

In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of insulating material with ELB(earth leakage circuit breaker) through tracking experiment and the study was carried out three different types of samples. The tracking is breakdown phenomenon of material surface that is generated on the organic insulating material. The test method applied IEC publication 587. The result of the sample breakdown by tracking was carbonized and resistance of between the electrodes is approximately 300$\Omega$. In the result of DSC analysis, the caloric peak was detected before 100$^{\circ}C$ in product of tracking. It appeared weight loss of 10.87% at 537$^{\circ}C$ on TGA. IR spectrum analysis showed carbon-hydrogen(C-H)bond on molecular structure that is the sample of tracking.
For the horizontal fillet welding with one plate in a vertical position, there will be a higher tendency of weld metal falling down rather than for the butt-welding in flat position. Such phenomenon could bring about the overlap or deflection of weld pool, and consequently induce the poor mechanical strength of weldments. Therefore, a precise position control of welding torch in conjunction with the weld qualify plays an important role in welding robot applications. In the present study, an experimental method was proposed for deriving a mathematical model between the leg length and the welding conditions. Finally, an algorithm was proposed for weld seam tracking and improvement of the weld quality. The reliability of the proposed algorithm was evaluated through various experiments, which showed that the proposed algorithm can be very effective for tracking the weld line and simultaneously achieving the sound weld bead.

An intelligent multimode target tracking algorithm using fuzzy logic is presented. Multimode tracking represents a synergistic approach that utilizes a variety of tracking techniques(centroid, correlation, etc.) to overcome the limitations inherent in any single-mode tracker. The design challenge for this type of multimode tracker is the data fusion algorithm. designs for this algorithm are based on heuristic rather than analytical approaches. A correlation-tracking algorithm seeks to align the incoming target image with a reference in age of the target, but has a critical problem, so called drift phenomenon. In this paper we will suggest a robust correlation tracker with gradient preprocessor combined by centroid algorithm to overcome the drift problem.

This paper suggests the target tracking method improved for the collaboration of the quad rotor type UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and omnidirectional Unmanned Ground Vehicle. If UAV shakes or UGV moves rapidly, the existing method generates a phenomenon that the tracking object loses the tracking target. To solve the problems, we propose an algorithm that can track continually when they lose the target. The proposed algorithm stores the vector of the landmark. And if the target was lost, the control signal was inputted so that the landmark could move continuously to the direction running out. Prior to the experiment, Proportional and integral control were used in 4 motors in order to calibrate the Heading value of the omnidirectional mobile robot. The landmark of UGV was recognized as the camera adhered to UAV and the target was traced through the proportional-integral-derivative control. Finally, the performance of the target tracking controller and proposed algorithm was evaluated through the experiment.
