Multi-target tracking based on the detector is a very hot and important research topic in target tracking. It mainly includes two closely related processes, namely target detection and target tracking. Where target detection is responsible for detecting the exact position of the target, while target tracking monitors the temporal and spatial changes of the target. With the improvement of the detector, the tracking performance has reached a new level. The problem that always exists in the research of target tracking is the problem that occurs again after the target is occluded during tracking. Based on this question, this paper proposes a DeepSORT model based on SIFT features to improve ship tracking. Unlike previous feature extraction networks, SIFT algorithm does not require the characteristics of pre-training learning objectives and can be used in ship tracking quickly. At the same time, we improve and test the matching method of our model to find a balance between tracking accuracy and tracking speed. Experiments show that the model can get more ideal results.
In order to reduce the threat by illegal unmanned aerial vehicles, a tracking system based on sound was implemented. There are three main points to the drone acoustic tracking method. First, it scans the space through variable beam formation to find a sound source and records the sound using a microphone array. Second, it classifies it into a hidden Markov model (HMM) to find out whether the sound source exists or not, and finally, the sound source is In the case of a drone, a sound source recorded and stored as a tracking reference signal based on an adaptive beam pattern is used. The simulation was performed in both the ideal condition without background noise and interference sound and the non-ideal condition with background noise and interference sound, and evaluated the tracking performance of illegal drones. The drone tracking system designed the criteria for determining the presence or absence of a drone according to the improvement of the search distance performance according to the microphone array performance and the degree of sound pattern matching, and reflected in the design of the speech reading circuit.

An experimental study was conducted using the tracking wheel test (IEC 62217) method for evaluating the performance of insulator materials, in particular ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and silicone rubber. In addition, we studied the tracking characteristics resulting from applying the same method for the shape of the insulator housing, that is, the performance of regular and alternating sheds. The evaluation parameters were leakage current, surface characteristics, SEM, EDX, hydrophobicity, and temperature distribution; likewise, we applied the commercial frequency dry (and wet) flashover voltage test. We found that the regular shed had a greater leakage current than the alternating shed and that the recovery of the hydrophobicity in terms of rest time was greater than that of the EPDM in terms of leakage current. All of the regular-shed insulators of silicone rubber had tracking traces and choking on the sheath parting line, while the alternating shed showed only choking at the interface but no tracking traces. Therefore, it can be concluded that the commercial frequency wet flashover voltage of the silicone rubber with regular shed before and after the tracking wheel test is higher than that of the alternating shed.

In this paper, we propose the fusion design methodology of both pedestrian detection and object tracking system realized with the aid of HOG-PCA based RBFNN pattern classifier. The proposed system includes detection and tracking parts. In the detection part, HOG features are extracted from input images for pedestrian detection. Dimension reduction is also dealt with in order to improve detection performance as well as processing speed by using PCA which is known as a typical dimension reduction method. The reduced features can be used as the input of the FCM-based RBFNNs pattern classifier to carry out the pedestrian detection. FCM-based RBFNNs pattern classifier consists of condition, conclusion, and inference parts. FCM clustering algorithm is used as the activation function of hidden layer. In the conclusion part of network, polynomial functions such as constant, linear, quadratic and modified quadratic are regarded as connection weights and their coefficients of polynomial function are estimated by LSE-based learning. In the tracking part, object tracking algorithms such as mean shift(MS) and cam shift(CS) leads to trace one of the pedestrian candidates nominated in the detection part. Finally, INRIA person database is used in order to evaluate the performance of the pedestrian detection of the proposed system while MIT pedestrian video as well as indoor and outdoor videos obtained from IC&CI laboratory in Suwon University are exploited to evaluate the performance of tracking.

Recently, the target object can be represented as sparse coefficient vector in visual tracking. Due to this reason, exploitation of the compressibility in the transform domain by using L1 minimization is needed. Further, L1 minimization is proposed to handle the occlusion problem in visual tracking, since tracking failures mostly are caused by occlusion. Furthermore, there is a weighted parameter in L1 minimization that influences the result of this minimization. In this paper, this parameter is analyzed for occlusion problem in visual tracking. Several coefficients that derived from median value of the target object, mean value of the arget object, the standard deviation of the target object are, 0, 0.1, and 0.01 are used as weighted parameter of L1 minimization. Based on the experimental results, the value which is equal to 0.1 is suggested as weighted parameter of L1 minimization, due to achieved the best result of success rate and precision performance parameter. Both of these performance parameters are based on one pass evaluation (OPE).

In this paper, we propose a new target tracking filter architecture using active and passive sensors in underwater environment. A passive sensor for target tracking needs a bearing measurement of target. And target tracking filter for using passive sensor has the observability problem. On the other hand, an active sensor does not have the problem associated with system observability problem because an active sensor uses bearing and range measurement. In this paper, the tracking filter algorithm that could be used in the active and passive sensor system is proposed to analyze maneuvering target and to improve target tracking performance. The proposed tracking filter algorithm is tested by a series of computer simulation runs and the results are analyzed and compared with existing algorithm.
An online mean-shift object tracking algorithm, which consists of a learning stage and an estimation stage, is proposed in this work. The learning stage selects the features for tracking, and the estimation stage composes a likelihood image and applies the mean shift algorithm to it to track an object. The tracking performance depends on the quality of the likelihood image. We propose two schemes to generate and integrate likelihood images: one based on the discrete AdaBoost (DAB) and the other based on the real AdaBoost (RAB). The DAB scheme uses tuned feature values, whereas RAB estimates class probabilities, to select the features and generate the likelihood images. Experiment results show that the proposed algorithm provides more accurate and reliable tracking results than the conventional mean shift tracking algorithms.
In previous work Kwon and Yoo [5] have shown that the FIR tracking algorithm using the input estimation technique. However, it has not solved the problem of systems with parameter uncertainties. Therefore, in this paper we propose a new robust $H_{\infty}$ FIR tracking filter to solve the target tracking problems under systems with parameter uncertainties. Also, we use here the input estimation approach to account for the possibility of maneuver. Simulation results show that the robust $H_{\infty}$ FIR tracking filter proposed here still has good tracking performance for a maneuvering target tracking problem even under all system parameter uncertainties.
We present an efficient and robust measurement model for visual tracking. This approach builds on and extends work on subspace representations of measurement model. Subspace-based tracking algorithms have been introduced to visual tracking literature for a decade and show considerable tracking performance due to its robustness in matching. However the measures used in their measurement models are often restricted to few approaches. We propose a novel measure of object matching using Angle In Feature Space, which aims to improve the discriminability of matching in subspace. Therefore, our tracking algorithm can distinguish target from similar background clutters which often cause erroneous drift by conventional Distance From Feature Space measure. Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed tracking algorithm under severe cluttered background.

This paper presents the development of a satellite antenna tracking control system using a plane antenna for mobile DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) reception. To track more rapidly in the antenna of this system, this simple tracking system only tracks a direction of azimuth using pendulum in the direction of elevation. This system should track using the AGC(Automatic Gain Control) of the signal level which can receive DAB in spite of the changing of point and movement of the mobile. The directional gyro sensor is attached to solve the delay time in the Proposed tracking algorithm. The effectiveness of both the stabilization and tracking algorithm is demonstrated through experiment measuring AGC signal level. The implemented satellite antenna tracking control system is shown to be excellent for mobile DAB reception.
