Properties of rice flours prepared from milled and broken rice produced by pre-washing and subsequent drying process were investigated. Compared to untreated ordinary milled rice, pre-washing process slightly increased lightness of rice flour, while decreased yellowness. Both WAI and WSI were higher in the flour from pre-washed rice, and gel consistency was the highest in the flour from pre-washed broken rice. Pre-washed rice showed increased amylograph peak viscosity and reduced setback values. On the other hand, pre-washed broken rice showed decreased peak viscosity and increased setback values. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) results showed that the pre-washing process reduced gelatinization onset- and peak temperatures, with increased gelatinization enthalpy. Total bacteria and yeast count were lower in the prewashed rice, suggesting the pre-washing process could partially eliminate microbial contamination of ordinary milled rice.

Objective : The aim of our study is to investigate the cytotoxic, antioxidant, and antimicrobial effects of newly synthesized boron compounds in U87MG glioblastoma cell treatment. Methods : We synthesized boron glycine monoester (BGM) and boron glycine diester (BGD) structures containing boron atoms and determined their cytotoxic activities on glioblastoma by the MTT method. The inhibitory concentration 50 (IC50) value was calculated with GraphPad Prism 5.0 program. The IC50 values were administered 48 hours on U87MG glioblastoma cell. Catalase (CAT), acid phosphatase (ACP) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) enzyme activity, malondialdehyde (MDA), total glutathione (GSH), and total protein levels were detected using spectrophotometric methods. We determined the antimicrobial activities of BGM and BGD with the disc diffusion method. Results : After 48 hours of BGM and BGD application to U87MG glioblastoma cells, we found the IC50 value as 6.6 mM and 26 mM, respectively. CAT and ACP enzyme activities were decreased in BGM and BGD groups. MDA which is a metabolite of lipid peroxidation was increased in both boron compounds groups. GSH level was reduced especially in BGD group. BGM and BGD have been found to be antimicrobial effects. Conclusion : Boron compounds, especially the BGM, can provide a new therapeutic approach for the treatment of glioblastoma with their anticancer, antioxidant, and antimicrobial effects.

Purpose : Long-term Care Insurance sets up facility standard and installation standard of aged care facilities and decides the presence of minimum number of rooms and its size in care facilities by using systematic instruments. Therefore, most aged care facilities had renovation in expansion and reconstruction following the revised regulations and even facility space structure and space composition are continuously improving. The study is to determine the purpose and trend by comparing before and after space composition of facilities which followed the implementation of Long-term Care Insurance and also to suggest hierarchical space composition suitable for aged care facilities through derived problems and to provide basic materials to plan the most appropriate facility for the aged. Methods : J-graph based on Space Syntax Theory will be schematized through in-site facility survey and before and after facility floor plan. Space composition trend will be analyzed by comparing indexes through S3 program. Results : As a result of 5 cases analysis, the following results were found; the average of whole space depth is increasing due to the Extension, the number of volunteers is decreasing and rooms for geriatric care helpers are being created due to the geriatric care helper introduction duty. Also, there are solariums being created to improve the health of the aged and dispensaries are being placed on every floor with the increase of documentary work for geriatric care helpers. With the policy implementation, care facility space composition and structure are changing with facility standard and it was analyzed that facilities were mostly put under the control of limited number of people in care room and total ground area per person. It was also found that there is increase in care space integration through before and after comparison of whole integration value. This is considered as the important result not only in facility standard satisfaction, but also in care support of geriatric care helpers and the aged, its main users. Implication : In order for elderly care facilities to have quality improvement and to develop as suitable facilities for characteristics of the aged, independent environmental facility standard preparation of elderly care facilities is needed through mutual cooperation of construction fields with regulation and policy related researches.

Zr-4 used for a cladding and an end plug of reactor component has creep deformation under operation at high temperature. Creep is regarded as the time dependent deformation of a material under constant applied stress. Although the major source of the deformation of zirconium component in water-cooled reactors is irradiation creep, the thermal creep may give a rise to significant deformation in reactor component especially at relatively high temperatures and at various constant stresses, and therefore it must be predicted accurately. Stress relaxation is the time dependent change of stress at constant strain and it is a process related intimately to creep. In this paper, the creep behavior and stress relaxation of Zr-4 is examined at the temperature of 50$0^{\circ}C$ that is 40% of the absolute melting temperature of Zr-4 under the stress below yield stress and under the various constant strains. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1) With an increase of stress, the steady state creep rate increases and the creep rupture time decreases. 2) The steady state creep rate $\varepsilon$(%/s) for the stress $\sigma$sub(c) (kgf/mm super(2)) of Zr-4 increases outstandingly. All the empirical equations computed for Zr-4 increases outstandingly. All the empirical equations computed for Zr-4 are in accord with Norton's model equation($\varepsilon$=K$\sigma$ sub(c) super (n)). The constants of materials computed are as follows: K=3.9881$\times$10 super(-5), n=1.9608 3) The rupture time T sub(r) (hr) decreases linearly with the increase of stress on the log-log scaled graph. The empirical equations computed for Zr-4 are in accord with Bailey's model equation (T sub(r)=K sub(1)$\sigma$sub(c) super(m)). The constants of materials computed are as follows: K sub(1)=1.2875$\times$10 super(16), m=-3.467 4) It seems clear that the strain could be quantitatively dependent on the high temperature creep properties such as creep stress, rupture time, steady state creep rate and total creep rate. It is found that these relationships are linear on the log-log graph. 5) In stress relaxation test, as the critical constant strain that can be allowed to the specimen is larger, stress relaxation becomes more rapid, and as the constant strain is smaller, the stress relaxation becomes slower.

In this paper, we propose a new technology mapping algorithm for CPLD consider area under time constraint(TMFCPLD). This technology mapping algorithm detect feedbacks from boolean networks, then variables that have feedback are replaced to temporary variables. Creating the temporary variables transform sequential circuit to combinational circuit. The transformed circuits are represented to DAG. After traversing all nodes in DAG, the nodes that have output edges more than two are replicated and reconstructed to fanout free tree. This method is for reason to reduce area and improve total run time of circuits by TEMPLA proposed previously. Using time constraints and delay time of device, the number of graph partitionable multi-level is decided. Initial cost of each node are the number of OR-terms that it have. Among mappable clusters, clusters of which the number of multi-level is least is selected, and the graph is partitioned. Several nodes in partitioned clusters are merged by collapsing, and are fitted to the number of OR-terms in a given CLB by bin packing. Proposed algorithm have been applied to MCNC logic synthesis benchmark circuits, and have reduced the number of CLBs by 62.2% than those of DDMAP. And reduced the number of CLBs by 17.6% than those of TEMPLA, and reduced the number of CLBs by 4.7% than those of TMCPLD. This results will give much efficiency to technology mapping for CPLDs.

In this paper, we introduce how to change the reaction rate as mol concentration when we scan enhanced MRI with GBCA(Gadolinium Based Contrast Agent), Also show the changing patterns depending on diverse MRI sequences which are made by different physical principle. For this study, we made MRI phantom ourselves. We mixed 500 mmol Gadoteridol with Saline in each 28 different containers from 500 to 0 mmol. After that, MR phantom was scanned by physically different MRI sequences which are T1 SE, T2 FLAIR, T1 FLAIR, 3D FLASH, T1 3D SPACE and 3D SPCIR in 1.5T bore. The results were as follows : *T1 Spin echo's Total SI(Signal Intensity) was 15608.7, Max peak was 1352.6 in 1 mmol. *T2 FLAIR's Total SI was 9106.4, Max peak was 0.4 1721.6 in 1 mmol. *T1 FLAIR's Total SI was 20972.5, Max peak was 1604.9 in 1 mmol. *3D FLASH's Total SI was 20924.0, Max peak was 1425.7 in 40 mmol. *3D SPACE 1mm's Total SI was 6399.0, Max peak was 528.3 in 3 mmol. *3D SPACE 5mm's Total SI was 6276.5, Max peak was 514.6 in 2 mmol. *3D SPCIR's Total SI was 1778.8, Max peak was 383.8 in 0.4 mmol. In most sequences, High signal intensity was shown in diluted lower concentration rather than high concentration, And also graph's max peak and pattern had difference value according to the each different sequence. Through this paper which have quantitative result of GBCA's reaction rate depending on sequence, We expect that practical enhanced MR protocol can be performed in clinical field.
For some patients with joint illnesses such as rheumarthritis or varus deformity, the total knee arthroplasty (TKA) procedures are performed. However, when inserting metal cutting guide for the procedures, due to the femoral shaft bowing, complications such as the cortex of the femoral shaft damages or secondary fractures can be caused. If the central coordinate value of the femoral shaft is known, the metal cutting guide could be inserted into the anatomical center, so such complications can be prevented. In this study, CT images of femoral shafts of 10 individuals in the experiment group who are in need of receiving the total knee arthroplasty procedures and those of 10 individuals in the control group without illness in the femoral shaft have been utilized to locate the 3-dimensional coordinate values. Then, Matlab was utilized to identify the central coordinate value in order to obtain a graph reflecting the anatomical shapes as well as to acquire the 3-dimensional radial curvature values by section. As a result, the average curvature range and standard deviation of femoral shafts of the experiment group was determined to be $758.15{\pm}206.3mm$ whereas the that of the control group was determined to be $1672.97{\pm}395.6mm$. The statistical significance of the measured results was verified through f-distribution analysis. Based on these results, it was verified that the level of curvature of the femoral shaft of the experiment group was higher. If the anatomical central points are located and analyzed using this methodology, it would be helpful in performing orthopedic operations such as the total knee arthroplasty.

A new clock skew optimization for clock routing using link-edge insertion is proposed in this paper. It satisfies the given skew bound and prevent the total wire length from increasing. As the clock skew is the major constraint for high speed synchronous ICs, it must be minimized in order to obtain high performance. But clock skew minimization can increase total wire length, therefore clock routing is performed within the given skew bound which can not induce the malfunction. Clock routing under the specified skew bound can decrease total wire length Not only total wire length and delay time minimization algorithm using merging point relocation method but also clock skew reduction algorithm using link-edge insertion technique between two nodes whose delay difference is large is proposed. The proposed algorithm construct a new clock routing topology which is generalized graph model while previous methods uses only tree-structured routing topology. A new cost function is designed in order to select two nodes which constitute link-edge. Using this cost function, delay difference or clock skew is reduced by connecting two nodes whose delay difference is large and distance difference is short. Furthermore, routing topology construction and wire sizing algorithm is developed to reduce clock delay. The proposed algorithm is implemented in C programming language. From the experimental results, we can get the delay reduction under the given skew bound.
We consider the problem of scheduling tasks of a precedence constrained task graph, where each task has its execution time and deadline, onto a set of identical processors in a way that simultaneously minimizes the number of processors required and the total tardiness of tasks. Most existing approaches tend to focus on the minimization of the total tardiness of tasks. In another methods, solutions to this problem are usually computed by combining the two objectives into a simple criterion to be optimized. In this paper, the minimization is carried out using a multiobjective genetic algorithm (GA) that independently considers both criteria by using a vector-valued cost function. We present various GA components that are well suited to the problem of task scheduling, such as a non-trivial encoding strategy. a domination-based selection operator, and a heuristic crossover operator We also provide three local improvement heuristics that facilitate the fast convergence of GA's. The experimental results showed that when compared to five methods used previously, such as list-scheduling algorithms and a specific genetic algorithm, the Performance of our algorithm was comparable or better for 178 out of 180 randomly generated task graphs.
This study was conducted to see whether the hippocampectomy exerted facilitatory influence upon gastric ulceration in animals, and if so, whether the effect of hippocampectomy could be suppressed by adrenalectomy. 107 male rats were divided into 5 groups: rats that had over 90% of their hippocampal tissue removed through an opening on each side of the cerebral cortex(hippocampal group, N=21), rats that received bilateral adrenalectomy(adrenal group, N=29), rats that received adrenalectomy as well as hippocampectomy(hippocampo-adrenal group, N=10), rats that received damage to each side of the cortex over the hippocampus(cortical control group, N=20), and rats that had solely their head skin incised(normal control group, N=27). All rats were kept without restraint or food deprivation until on the 25th day after surgery, the stomach of each rat was inflated with 7ml of physiological saline and then removed under deep anesthesia. The mucosal surface was sketched under dissecting microscope, and enlarged photographs$(4{\times})$ were taken. The percentage of animals developing gastric ulcer in each animal group was calculated, the number of ulcer in each stomach was counted, and the total area of ulceration per stomach was measured on the Photograph with the aid of superimposed graph paper and expressed as permillage of total area of the glandular mucosa. Results obtained were as follows: 1. The percentage of animals developing gastric ulcer was significantly larger in the hippocampal group than they were in the hippocampo-adrenal, the adrenal, the cortical, and the normal control groups. 2. The mean number of ulcer per stomach was significantly larger in the hippocampal group than they were in the adrenal, the cortical control, and the normal control groups, while no significant difference existed between the hippocampal and the hippocampo-adrenal groups. 3. Total area of ulcer per stomach was significantly larger in the hippocampal group than they were in the cortical control and the normal control groups, but no significant differ-ence existed among the hippocampal, the adrenal, and the hippocampo·adrenal groups. 4. All measured values of the adrenal group were not significantly different from those of the hippocampo-adrenal, the cortical control, and the normal control groups. It is inferred from the above results that the hippocampus exerts an inhibitory influence upon gastric ulceration and that the hippocampal influence is mediated only partly through suppression of pituitary·adrenal activity.
