This paper focuses on the phenomenon that basic municipalities in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, have established archives in the last two to three years, and examines the background and causes. The movement of establishing a continuous archive of regional historical associations that encompassed several regions beyond a specific municipality exerted great influence. The linkage and cooperation activities of The Japan Society of Archives Institutions also acted as a major factor. These examples of municipal archives in Nagano Prefecture will give prospects and implications that can facilitate the establishment of a local archive in Korea.

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the research topics of the Journal of Korean Society of Archives and Records Management, which is one of the main academic journals of archival research in Korea. To achieve this objective, a total of 875 author-assigned Korean keywords were collected from the 390 papers published from the first issue (i.e., 2001) to the current issue (i.e., 2017) in the target journal. The collected keywords were analyzed using NetMiner V.4 to discover their frequency, degree centrality, and betweenness centrality. Results showed that "Archival Information Services," "Electronic Records," "Historical Archives," "Archivists," and "National Archives of Korea" showed the most frequently conducted research topics; whereas "Archival Information Services," "Electronic Records," "Evaluation," "Locality Archives," and "Retrieval System" were the most influencing research topics. On the other hand, "Archival Information Services," "Archivists," "Electronic Records," "Archive," and "Metadata" showed the most widely intervening research topics in this research.

This thesis concerns urban construction archive management business of China in the 20th century 12 items of state level construction archives, 11 categories of urban construction archives was initially studied. And studies on data collection method, obligations and range of service, etc. of urban construction archives center were conducted as well. Urban construction archive management business was aggressively pursued in terms of national policy, based on the state plan to construct medium-sized and large cities and Mao ZeDong(毛澤東)‘s direction regarding of urban construction archives. As a result, there happened to be various levels and types of 3,186 archive centers, as of 2003. And the archives centers of urban construction have been estavlished in 662 cities all over China so far, while the establishment of the urban construction archives centers was pursued only in 42 cities in 1960s. Another point to note is that staff members of junior college or higher educational background account for 70% - 80% of overall human resources of the archives center of urban construction, while 60 - 70% of them are technical level. This makes professional human resources represent at least 60% of the total human resources of the centers. This is a result of effort of China to enhance urban construction archive management business on both quantitative and qualitative level. And through the study on the situation of urban construction archive management business in Beijing(北京), it was learned that urban construction archives are being collected and managed in archives centers of the respective areas as well as in professional archives centers of urban construction. Some suggestions were also made regarding what kind of direction Korea should take to pursue the business of urban construction archive management.

Through the contents of press reports, this study is executed to identify what issues were treated intensively and how such issues have been reported by the press in the procedures of formation and changing of the records management system in the last 14 years. In order to achieve the study objective, histories of records management system were divided into Government of the People (1998-2002), former part of Participatory Government (2003-2005), latter part of Participatory Government (2006-2007), and the Lee Myung-bak administration (2008-2011). A total of 366 articles, which were reported in 7 newspaper companies in 14 years, were extracted and quantitative and qualitative analyses were executed.

This study selected four institutions, namely the National Archives of Korea, the National Library of Korea, the National Institute of Korean History, and the Institute for Military History, that have collected the foreign records about Korea, providing web services for users. A total of 163,874 records were collected from these institutions to analyze the topics of the records, which resulted in a proposed topic map with 7 facets as top levels. This study suggests an integrated and visualized tool using a topic map to improve the searching service of foreign records about Korea from Korean institutions, especially the US records related to Korea.

Local governments in Korea, sixteen in total, shall establish local government archives to and manage preserve their permanent archives to comply with the Public Records Management Act amended in October 2006. National Archives of Korea(NAK) directed the local governments to recruit legally qualified archivists by the end 0f 2006 and to plan on the establishment and operation of the local government archives by the end 2007. However, none of the government archives was established by far. Government officials in NAK and the local governments raised the limits of the budget and human resources. What is more serious is that they don't concern why the archives are necessary and what missions and functions the archives should have. In this paper, I summarized the present situation and problems in establishing the local archives, and what we will do to establish normal government archives. First, local governments should establish "local government records commissions" and employ qualified archivists. The local government records commission should comprise concerned and qualified members. The records commission, as a policy and decision-making body, should make plans and implement the plans to establish the local archives, establish professional training programs to produce qualified archivists, promote local archives community activities, determine operational issues, and make a long-term development plan satisfying local demands. Second, the local government archives share existing repositories of NAK. Third, after the establishment of the archives, the local archives should perform normal records and archives management of the local governments as records acts mandate, do general records surveys and appraise the records created in the local governments. The local government archives should collect valuable local archives including private archives, and arrange and make usable them to provide access. They also promote and coordinate various cultural heritage community activities related to the local archives.

Among the various methods for identifying users's information needs, Log analysis methods can realistically reflect the users' actual search behavior and analyze the overall usage of most users. Based on the large quantity of query log big data obtained through the portal service of the National Archives of Korea, this study conducted an analysis by the information type and search result type in order to identify the users' information needs. The Query log used in analysis were based on 1,571,547 query data collected over a total of 141 months from 2007 to December 2018, when the National Archives of Korea provided search services via the web. Furthermore, based on the analysis results, improvement methods were proposed to improve user search satisfaction. The results of this study could actually be used to improve and upgrade the National Archives of Korea search service.

In conclusion, biochemical analysis revealed that GTS inhibited the methamphetamine-induced DA increase and the methamphetamine-induced DOPAC decrease in the mouse striatum. These results indicate that GTS could modulate the methamphetamine-induced striatal dopaminergic neuronal systems.

The total synthesis of norneolignans isolated from Krameria species, 2-aryl-5-(E)-propenylbenzofurans (5, 11), is described. The key step involves the one-pot reaction for 2-arylbenzofurans (2, 7) from 4-hydroxyphenylacetone with 4'-acetoxy-2-chloro-2-(methylthio)acetophenone (1) and 2-chloro-2-methylthio-(2',4',6'-trimethoxy)acetophenone (6) under Friedel-Crafts reactionconditions.

Sufentanil, a potent anilidopiperidine analgesic, was synthesized from a simple thiophenylethylamine via six sequence. The key parts of this synthesis involved an efficient construction of thiophenylethylpiperidone by aminomethano desilylation-cyclization followed by Swern oxidation and a direct regioselective N-nucleophilic spiral epoxide cleavage with aniline promoted by Lewis acids.
