고정자 잇날 페어링을 이용한 고출력 토크 BLDC 전동기의 코깅 토크 및 소음 저감 (Cogging Torque and Acoustic Noise Reduction in High Torque BLDC Motors by Teeth Pairings)

  • This paper investigates reduction of acoustic noise and cogging torque in a BLDC motor with larger stator slot open width. Using energy method, cogging torque is analytically determined with airgap MMF function and airgap permeance function and confirmed by FEM analysis. It shows that the cogging torque is firstly governed by NL GNL BNL with the fundamental period of NL, where NL is the least common multiple of the number of slots and the number of poles, GNL, airgap permeance function and BNL, airgap MMF function. It also shows that there exist several tooth width which minimizes the cogging torque, for the motors that smaller slot open width or stator teeth notching is not available. And it proposes a teeth pairing with two different tooth width which can effectively eliminate the cogging torque and thus the acoustic noise. Experimental results show that the proposed teeth pairing reduces the cogging torque by 85% and the acoustic noise by 3.1dB.

  • In this crankshaft of marine diesel engines the exciting torques are produced by gas pressure and reciprocating masses. These torques are periodically changing and are extremely out of balance. To calculate the torsional vibrations of propulsion shafting caused by unbalanced torque the torque harmonics are utilized. Until now to calculate the torsional vibrations of propulsion shafting. the torque harmonics have been supplied by the engine maker. When the torque harmonics of an engine are not available the torque harmonics of a similar engine type had to be used. However such data is not suitable for the reliable calculations of torsional vibrations. In this paper the combustion characteristics of marine diesel engines including $\rho{-}\upsilon$ diagram are investigated and the torque harmonics based on these are theoretically calculated. reliability of the calculations is confirmed by comparing them with those of an engine maker. This study should prove useful for the calculations of torsional vibrations for diesel engine propulsion shafting. particularly for 4-stroke engines whose torque harmonics are difficult to obtain directly from the engine and not ordinarily supplied by the engine maker.

  • This paper presents the switching angle and voltage for maximizing the torque or efficiency and minimizing torque ripple of an 8/6, SRM. The approximate analysis and computer simulation determine the switching angle and voltage by using SIMULINK$^\textregistered$. This is performed as a function of the speed and torque required by the load. From the results, new three facts can be known: First, the maximum torque depends on voltage and speed depends on switching angle. The others, the maximum efficiency and minimum torque ripple relay on switching angle. We control the switching angle and voltage of and asymmetrical inverter for the SRM with one-chip micro controller.

  • Torque ripple content and variable switching frequency operation of conventional direct torque control (DTC) are reduced by the integration of space vector modulation (SVM) into DTC. Integration of space vector modulation to conventional direct torque control known as SVM-DTC. It had been more frequently used method in renewable energy and machine drive systems. In this paper, SVM-DTC is used to control the rotor side converter (RSC) of a wind driven doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) because of its advantages such as reduction of torque ripples and constant switching frequency operation. However, flux and torque ripples are still dominant due to distorted current waveforms at different operations of the wind turbine. Therefore, to smoothen the torque profile a Neural Network Controller (NNC) based SVM-DTC has been proposed by replacing the PI controller in the speed control loop of the wind turbine controller. Also, stability analysis and simulation study of DFIG using process reaction curve method (RRCM) are presented. Validation of simulation study in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment of proposed wind driven DFIG system has been performed by laboratory developed prototype model. The proposed NNC based SVM-DTC yields superior torque response and ripple reduction compared to other methods.

  • This paper presents the switching angle and voltage for maximizing torque of 4-phase 6-poles SRM. The switching angle and voltages was determined through the approximated analysis and computer simulation by using SIMULINK according to the speed and torque required by load but we used new analytic equation from maximum torque characteristic And then one-chp micro-controller controls the switching angle and voltage of an asymmetrical inverter in the SRM driver. Also we expects that this method reduce micro-controller load and realize approximated real time control

  • This paper presents a hybrid winding connection method for torque characteristics improving of a traction SRM. In order to get a high torque in wide speed range and torque ripple reduction, series and parallel winding connection are changed according to operating speed. From the analysis of torque character operation mode and efficiency, the proposed control scheme is verified.

  • In a recent as the compact and the precision motor is needed, the use of rare earth permanent magnet with high energy product is frequent. Accordingly it is important to reduce the cogging torque for improving the control precision of motor. In order to develop the motor with low cogging torque which is contented with the requirement of customer, the prototype is designed and complete based on analysis method to reduce the cogging torque. The experimental results verify the validity.

  • In a permanent magnet motor, cogging torque arises from the intersection of the rotor magnets with the steel teeth on the stator. This paper describes design measures which can be taken to reduce the cogging torque. In this paper for the optimal shape design of brushless DC motor, evolution strategy is investigated to find the dimension of stator of BLDC motor that minimizes the cogging torque. The corresponding field analysis is performed by two-dimensional finite element method.
