  • In this study, the drawing characteristics of circular drawbead are examined with the plane strain elastic-plastic FE Method by varying the process variables such as friction coefficient, drawbead radius, and closing depth. Numerical analysis are carried out by 2-D elastic-plastic F.E.M. The results are compared with the existing experimental results about the drawing force, the die clamping force, and the strain distribution of upper and lower sheet faces

푸리에 급수를 이용한 엔드밀링 절삭력 및 공구변형 표현 (Closed Form Expression of Cutting Forces and Tool Deflection in End Milling Using Fourier Series)

  • Machining accuracy is closely related with tool deflection induced by cutting forces. In this research, cutting forces and tool deflection in end milling are expressed as a closed form of tool rotational angle and cutting conditions. The discrete cutting fores caused by periodic tool entry and exit are represented as a continuous function using the Fourier series expansion. Tool deflection is predicted by direct integration of the distributed loads on cutting edges. Cutting conditions, tool geometry, run-outs and the stiffness of tool clamping part are considered together far cutting forces and tool deflection estimation. Compared with numerical methods, the presented method has advantages in prediction time reduction and the effects of feeding and run-outs on cutting forces and tool deflection can be analyzed quantitatively. This research can be effectively used in real time machining error estimation and cutting condition selection for error minimization since the form accuracy is easily predicted from tool deflection curve.

고속철도차량의 EMB 적용을 위한 3상 IPMSM의 설계 및 제동압부력 제어 (A Design Method of Three-phase IPMSM and Clamping Force Control of EMB for High-speed Train)

  • 본 논문은 고속철도차량에 전기기계제동장치(EMB : Electric Mechanical Brake)를 적용하기 위한 주요 구성품인 3상 매입형영구자석동기전동기(IPMSM : Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)의 설계방법과 이를 이용한 인버터 제어시스템의 압부력제어 시뮬레이션 방법을 제안한다. 최근 자동차에서 주로 사용하는 유압식 제동장치는 유압을 발생시키기 위해 필요한 오일류와 유압 라인의 관리, 유지보수성 및 유압펌프의 동작으로 인한 효율성 등이 문제로 제기되면서 EMB에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으나 비용증가 및 안전측면의 보완이 지속적으로 요구되고 있다. 공압식 제동장치를 주로 사용하는 철도차량은 EMB 시스템을 적용할 경우 차량 하부에 큰 공간을 차지하는 공기압축기, 제동공기통 및 연결 배관 등의 부품이 필요하지 않으므로 50% 이상의 소형화가 가능하며 인버터를 적용한 전동기 구동방식으로 인하여 상대적으로 빠른 응답속도와 정밀제어를 통해 공주거리를 단축시킬 수 있는 장점을 갖는다. 또한, 철도차량은 다수의 제동장치가 제동력을 분담하는 구조로 설계되어 자동차와 비교하여 EMB 적용이 안전측면에서 유리하다. 본 논문에서는 JMAG을 활용하여 고속철도의 제동 캘리퍼와 제동력 출력에 적합한 모터설계 및 전자계해석을 수행하였다. 제동 압부력 제어 시뮬레이션을 위해 기계구동부는 기존 EMB 시스템에 주로 적용된 볼스크류 형태의 동작방식과는 달리 고속철도차량에 적용된 편심축 회전을 이용한 구동방식으로 모델링하였다. IPMSM 제어를 통한 제동압부력 및 제동력 출력결과는 Matlab/Simulink를 활용하여 JMAG의 IPMSM 모델과 co-simulation을 통해 보였으며 결과의 타당성은 차세대고속철도(HEMU-430X)의 제동사양과의 비교를 통해 검증하였다.

절삭저항을 고려한 툴 인터페이스부의 정강성 분석 (A Study on Static Stiffness of Tool Interfaces Considering Cutting Resistance)

  • Spindle units of machine tool are very important part in the manufacturing area. Recently high speed machining has become the main issue of metal cutting. To develop high speed machine tools, a lot of studies have been carried out for high speed spindle. Due to increase of the rotational speed of the spindle, there has been renewal of interest in tooling system of high speed spindle. This paper concerns the static stiffness in the main spindle interface according to variation of clamping force, rotational speed and tool holder shank. Finite element analysis is performed by using a commercial code ANSYS workbench. From the results, it has been shown that the geometry of tool holder shank is mostly influence on the variation of the static stiffness in the main spindle interface.

협 피치 FPC 커넥터의 사출 성형 해석 (Injection Molding Analysis for Narrow-Pitched FPC Connectors)

  • The narrow-pitched connectors are of interest for small-scale devices such as smart phones because of theirs caling. We conducted an injection molding analysis and a warp analysis for 0.3mm and 0.5mm pitch FPC connectors. We obtained a volumetric shrinkage of 4.344%, a clamping force of 0.2529 tonne, a maximum injection pressure of 76.3 MPa as optimized molding conditions for the 0.3mm pitch FPC connector. We found that, compared with the traditional injection molding technique, the injection molding for narrow-pitched connectors comes with distinct features like low clamping force, high injection molding pressure, and narrow gate size. Adding to the optimization analysis, the deflection of 0.5mm pitch FPC connector was analyzed as well. A maximum deflection of 0.053mm was calculated, which the actual deflection of 0.062mm was compared to. The results deduced a relative error of 17%. We conclude that the deflection analysis along with the optimization analysis can be used as an effective tool to predict the behavior of narrow-pitch connectors although the relative error may need to improve.

  • Micro/meso cutting is getting more important in the fields of precision machining technology. A micro-turning lathe is one of parts to consist the Micro Factory. It accepts stepwise motion actuators that are used for feeding system instead of the conventional mechanism. It is consisted of two Piezoelectric ceramics; one is for feeding the slider, and the other is for clamping the slider in the guide way of the body. The linearity and positional accuracy of the actuators are good enough for high precision motion. The spindle unit is operated with DC motor on the top of the slider. The motion is communicated with miniaturized linear encoder attached on each side of axis. A mono crystal diamond tool is used for cutting tool. This micro-lathe has been made a machining experiment to see the characteristics of micro-machining.

  • As a fundamental study on developing elements with micro shape, micro mold parts machining and experiment of injection molding using it were performed. The ultra precision micro machining system with high functionality was fabricated, and utilized in the machining of micro parts. By using this machining system and micro end-mill tool, a micro circle column structure of high aspect ratio, diameter 60 $\mu\textrm{m}$, height 500 $\mu\textrm{m}$, was fabricated. And a micro lens molds were fabricated by using ball end-mill tool of 300 $\mu\textrm{m}$ diameter and diamond fly-cut tool of 150 $\mu\textrm{m}$ radius. A micro injection molding machine, which is clamping force 1.75 ton, injection capacity 2.8cc, was fabricated for injection molding experiment using micro molds. The injection molding experiment was performed by using the injection molding machine, micro cylinder structures and lens molds. This paper introduces these micro machining system and injection molding machine and demonstrates examples of injection molding using fabricated molds.

  • In designing AMBs (active magnetic bearings) for high-speed spindle system, the shaft is usually assumed as a rigid rotor. For automatic tool change process, there should be a tool clamping system with drawbar using spring or hydraulic force, and the drawbar in the spindle can be in various condition of support during design and manufacturing error. In this paper, the modal characteristics of drawbar in high-speed milling spindle system due to supporting stiffness between drawbar and shaft are analyzed by numerical method. The result shows enough stiff supports must be provided between shaft and drawbar to prevent occurring drawbar vibration lower than the natural frequency of 1$\^$st/ bending mode of spindle.

내후성강재 고장력볼트 이음부 미끄럼계수 평가 실험 (II) (Experiments on Slip Coefficients of High-Strength Bolt Connection with Weathering Steel (II))

  • 본 논문에서는 대기 중에 폭로한 내후성강재의 고장력볼트 마찰이음부 미끄럼계수 평가를 위한 실험연구를 수행하였다. 표면 상태는 흑피 부착된 시험체와 숏브라스트로 흑피를 제거한 시험체를 각각 3개월 및 6개월 폭로한 후 수동솔질, 전동솔질 및 청소하지 않은 표면 등을 고려하였다. 또한, 6개월 폭로 시험편의 각 표면 상태에 대하여 600 시간 동안 볼트축력 감소율을 측정하였다. 실험으로부터 모든 시험체에서 폭로 기간에 따라 미끄럼 계수는 증가하였으며 흑피부착 표면을 전동솔질로 청소한 경우를 제외하곤 모두 0.6 이상의 값을 보였다. 볼트 축력 감소율 역시 초기 비폭로 시험체에 비해 폭로한 시험 체에서 증가하였으며 최대 감소율은 약 10%에 이르렀다.
