볼링투구동작의 운동역학적 분석(II) (Mechanical Analysis of throw motion in Bowling)

  • The purpose of this study was defined efficient throw motion pattern to obtain the quantitative data and to achieve successful bowling through kinetic - kinematic variables on the throw motion. Subject of group composed of three groups : Higher bowlers who are two representative bowlers with 200 average points and one pro-bowler. Middle bowlers who are three common persons with 170 average points. Lower bowler who are three common persons with 150 average points. Motion analysis on throw motion in three groups respectively has been made through three-dimension cinematography using DLT method. Two high-speed video camera at operating 180 frame per secondary. One-way ANOVA has been used to define variable relations. Analyzed result and conclusion are the following : The displacement of back of the hand must have wider difference of each right-left displacement to increase the spin of the ball. In high bowlers group, difference between the front-rear position of back of the hand in case of success and that in case of failure in follow throw is 0.17m. That is to say, momentum in case of success come to increase greatly, compared with that in case of failure. To increase the spin of the ball, the potential difference should be narrower in follow through. In case of the high bowlers, the velocity of the front-rear direction of the back of the hand has been the fastest both in release and follow through, compared with those in other groups, which has contributed to increasing the spin force of the ball. The orders in the resultant velocity of the back of the hand has shown the this : the finger tip$\rightarrow$the back of the hand$\rightarrow$wrist.These orders made the proximal segment support the distal segment. The distal segment has provided the condition to accelerate the velocity. In case of failure, the suddenly increased velocity has caused the failure in the follow through. Acutely flexing the angle of the back of the hand has contributed to lifting to increase the spin of the ball.

  • 초소형 무인기 추진용 MH-75 프로펠러는 자유와 설계기법을 이용하여 설계변수인 허브팁 비, 비틀림각 분포, 최대 캠버의 위치와 크기 그리고 시위 길이를 변화시키며 설계 요구조건을 만족하도록 공력설계 되었다. MH-75 프로펠러는 주파수영역 패널법을 이용하여 설계요구조건을 만족시키고, 다양한 초소형 무인기에 적용이 가능하도록 정지추력 특성과 비행속도 및 회전수 변화에 따른 성능 특성을 예측하였다. 그리고 MH-75 프로펠러의 공력해석 결과를 검증하기 위해 프로펠러의 추력특성에 대한 풍동시험을 수행하였다. MH-75 프로펠러의 추력 성능은 설계요구조건을 만족하였으며, 저레이놀즈 수 영향을 고려하기 위한 2차원 익형 해석용 XFOIL 프로그램에 비해 3차원 효과를 고려하는 주파수영역 패널법을 이용하는 것이 비교적 풍동시험 결과와의 오차가 적음을 확인하였다.

비접촉식 열공구를 이용한 VLM-ST 제품의 미세 형상 가공 공정 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Shape refining process of VLM-ST Parts Using Noncontacting Hot Tool)

  • In most RP processes, the inherent stair-stepped surfaces and shrinkage-induced warping of the parts require post processing such as surface finishing. To minimize such defects, VLH-ST, a newly developed RP process, employs a 3.9-mm thick expandable polystyrene (EPS) foam sheet and a hot wire to contour it to have slant linear-interpolated sides. The use of relatively thick sheets for layers, however, limits the process capability of constructing fine details, especially smaller than the layer thickness. This study is focused on the development of a post processing method fo fine details of VLM-ST parts. The post-processing tool was designed to meet all the requirements for the desirable post processing. It adopted a hot wire as a means of melting the EPS foam sheet. Various basic experiments on the post processing were carried out to obtain the optimal process conditions. The dominant process parameters such as the radiated heat input, the tool speed, and the gap between the tool tip and the foam sheet (tool height) were considered in the experiments. The effectiveness of the developed post-processing method fo forming or engraving fine details on the VLM-ST parts has been thus demonstrated. The experiments on engraving several sets of letters, such as CANESM, 인간, and 한국과학기술원, on the EPS foam sheet were carried out. In addition, a flowery shape was engraved on a three-dimensionally curved surface of a pottery-shape VLM-ST part.

Glutary 7-Aminodeacetoxycephalosporanis Acid Acylase 생산균의 분리 및 동정 (Isolation and Identification of Microorganism Producing Glutary 7-Aminodeacetoxycephalosporanis Acid Acylase)

  • Glutaryl 7-aminodeacetoxycephalosporanic acid(GL-7-ADCA)로부터 7-aminodeacetoxycephalosporanic acid(7-ADCA)를 생성하는 GL-7-ADCA acylase생산균을 자연계에서 폭넓게 검색하여 한균주를 선정하고 분리균의 형태 및 생리적 성질들을 조사하여 Alcaligenes sp.로 동정하였다. 분리균의 효소생산을 위한 배양조건을 검토한 결과 탄소원으로는 glucose, 질소원으로는 yeast extract, monosodium L-glutamate가 우수하였다. 효소의 작용최적 pH는 8.0이며, pH7.0~pH11.0 번위에서 비교적 안정하였다. 5l jar fermentor에서 배양경과를 조사한 결과 효소이 활성은 $37^{\circ}C$, 교반속도 300rpm, 통기량 1vvm 조건에서 20시간~30시간 배양시 가장 높았다.

다단 소형 터빈에서의 부분분사 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Partial Admission Characteristics of a Multi-Stage Small-Scaled Turbine)

  • 본 연구에 적용된 터빈은 반경류형이며, 동익의 외경은 108 mm이다. 터빈은 1.4-4.1%의 낮은 부분분사율에서 작동하므로 익형은 축류형으로 설계되었으며 3단으로 구성되었다. 터빈에서 부분분사율과 팁간극 및 노즐유동각의 변화에 따른 성능의 변화를 측정하였다. 또한 터빈의 단수를 변경하면서 각 단수에서 발생되는 출력의 차이에 대한 측정이 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 터빈은 다양한 작동조건에서 운전되므로 넓은 작동범위에 따른 비교를 위하여 회전수를 변경하면서 탈설계 영역에서의 성능 평가가 이루어졌다. 뿐만 아니라 다양한 작동조건에 합당한 시스템의 평가를 위하여 총비오크가 얻어졌다. 아울러 소형터빈의 설계 및 성능예측을 위하여 유동해석을 수행하였으며 얻어진 예측의 결과는 실험으로 얻어진 결과와 잘 일치하였다.

  • The robotic $CO_2$ welding is a manufacturing process to produce high quality joints for metal and it could provide a capability of full automation to enhance productivity. Despite the widespread use in the various manufacturing industries, the full automation of the robotic $CO_2$ welding has not yet been achieved partly because the mathematical model for the process parameters of a given welding task is not fully understood and quantified. Several mathematical models to control welding quality, productivity, microstructure and weld properties in arc welding processes have been studied. However, it is not an easy task to apply them to the various practical situations because the relationship between the process parameters and the bead geometry is non-linear and also they are usually dependent on the specific experimental results. Practically, it is difficult, but important to know how to establish a mathematical model that can predict the result of the actual welding process and how to select the optimum welding condition under a certain constraint. In this research, an attempt has been made to develop an intelligent algorithm to predict the weld geometry (top-bead width, top-bead height, back-bead width and back-bead height) as a function of key process parameters in the robotic $CO_2$welding. To achieve this above objective, Taguchi method was employed using five different process parameters (tip gap, gas flow rate, welding speed, arc current, welding voltage) as a guide for optimization of process parameters.

Nano-scale Friction Properties of SAMs with Different Chain Length and End Groups

  • Friction characteristics at nano-scale of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) having different chain lengths and end groups were experimentally studied.51 order to understand the effect of the chain length and end group on the nano-scalefriction: (1) two different SAMs of shorter chain lengths with different end groups such as methyl and phenyl groups, and (2)four different kinds of SAMs having long chain lengths (C10) with end groups of fluorine and hydrogen were coated on siliconwafer (100) by dipping method and Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) technique. Their nano-scale friction was measuredusing an Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) in the range of 0-40 nN normal loads. Measurements were conducted at the scanning speed of 2 $mu$m/s for the scan size of 1$mu$m x 1 $mu$m using a contact mode type $Si_3N_4$ tip (NPS 20) that had a nominal spring constant0.58 N/m. All experiments were conducted at anlbient temperature (24 $pm$1$circ$C) and relative humidity (45 $pm$ 5%). Results showedthat the friction force increased with applied normal load for all samples, and that the silicon wafer exhibited highest frictionwhen compared to SAMs. While friction was affected by the inherent adhesion in silicon wafer, it was influenced by the chainlength and end group in the SAMs. It was observed that the nano-friction decreased with the chain length in SAMs. In the caseof monolayers with shorter length, the one with the phenyl group exhibited higher friction owing to the presence of benBenerings that are stiffer in nature. In the case of SAMs with longer chain length, those with fluorine showed friction values relativelyhigher than those of hydrogen. The increase in friction due to the presence of fluorine group has been discussed with respect tothe siBe of the fluorine atom.

가변 피치형 수평축 풍력 터빈의 공력 최적설계 및 피치제어 성능 연구 (Optimal Aerodynamic Design and Performance Analysis for Pitch-Controlled HAWT)

  • 피치 제어형 수평축 풍력터빈에 대한 공력최적 설계 형상과 피치 변화에 따른 공력 성능 특성을 수치적으로 계산하였다. 수치적 방법은 날개 요소이론을 적용하였으며, Prandtl의 팁 손실 효과, 에어포일의 분포 효과, 후류의 회전 효과 등을 고려하였다. 블레이드 설계에는 총 6개의 서로 다른 에어포일을 사용하였으며, 구조적 강성을 갖기 위해서 허브 측에는 최대 40% 두께비의 에어포일을 분포시켰다. 최적 설계에서 얻어진 비선형 코드 길이는 제작성과 무게 등을 고려하여 선형화 시켰고, 선형화에 따른 공력성능 변화는 무시할만하다는 결과를 얻어내었다. 피치각 변화에 따른 동력성능, 추력성능, 토크 성능 곡선을 비교한 결과 $3^{\circ}$의 피치각 변화에도 민감한 공력 값의 변동이 생김을 알 수 있었고, 정밀한 피치 제어를 위한 각도 제어는 증분이 $3^{\circ}$보다 작은 값으로 피치 제어 알고리즘과 피치 구동 장치가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 최대 토크는 설계속도비보다 작은 속도비에서 발생되는 결과를 보여주었다.

  • This study was undertaken to investigate the structural and configurational characteristics of the tailings return-unit in the commercially available head-feed combines and to study the aero-dynamical behavior of the tailings in the units. The mathematical model of the motion of tailings in the thrower casing was developed and the simulated trajectories for different type of units was analyzed to compare with the measured ones. The air-stream velocity profile in various locations along the tailings returning duct was measured to find the effect of configurational characteristics and blade tip speed. The results of the study are summerized as follows. 1. The ejecting angle, which is the angle between the direction of the particle velocity ejecting from the blade and the horizontal axis, was found to be about $66^{\circ}$ in both the simulation and experiment. The angle was much greater than the setting angle of actual duct of the combines studied, which were $48{\sim}56^{\circ}$. By comparison of these results, it was suggested to change duct setting angle so as to reduce the frictional force, between the duct wall and tailings, by reducing the difference between the ejecting and setting angles. 2. The velocity of the air stream in the duct was in general higher in the upper bound of the duct compared to the lower and decreased as the stream went toward the end of duct. The comparison of the tailings units among the combines studied showed a superior performance with the tapered duct having small diameter in the outlet and with greater number of thrower blade.

파라메트릭 스터디를 통한 조류발전용 다리우스 터빈의 설계연구 (Study on Design of Darrieus-type Tidal Stream Turbine Using Parametric Study)

  • 본 논문은 조류발전을 위하여 가장 보편적으로 사용되는 수직축 조류발전 터빈의 하나인 다리우스 터빈의 효율에 미치는 다양한 설계변수의 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 수행하였다. 날개 수, 코드 길이, 피치 및 캠버를 설계변수로 채택하였으며, 2차원 및 3차원 비정상 난류유동해석을 위하여 FLUENT의 RANS방정식과 k-e 난류모델을, 격자계 모델링을 위하여 GAMBIT을 이용하였다. 기본적인 수치해석방법은 정현주 등(2009)을 참조하였다. 설계변수 변경에 따른 방대한 계산 량을 감안하여 수치해석의 신뢰도가 허락하는 범위에서 대부분 2차원 해석으로 결과를 도출하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 설계변수의 최적화를 통하여 기준모형보다 월등한 성능을 보이는 고효율 수직축 터빈 모델을 제시할 수 있었다.
