Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate oncology nurses' professional quality of life and its correlations with job satisfaction and job stress in a tertiary hospital in Seoul, South Korea. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was utilized to investigate 210 oncology nurses from various oncology and hemato-oncology units. Professional quality of life (ProQOL), which is conceptualized with three sub-dimensions (compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress), job satisfaction, job stress, demographic and work-related variables were measured. Results: The participants were all women, with the mean age of 28.4. The participants with high ProQOL was only 14.8%, and 75.3% and 77.6% of the participants reported a moderate to high level of burnout and secondary traumatic stress respectively. Job satisfaction, age, and the total years of nursing practice have positive correlations with compassion satisfaction. Also, compassion satisfaction was significantly different according to age group, work units, the level of education, nursing positions, and the years of practice. Conclusion: Since the level of professional quality of life among oncology nurses was relatively low, the program for oncology nurses to improve compassion satisfaction and to decrease compassion fatigue needs to be developed.
To detect advanced ransomware attacks with machine learning-based models, the classification model must train learning data with high-dimensional feature space. And in this case, a 'curse of dimension' phenomenon is likely to occur. Therefore, dimensionality reduction of features must be preceded in order to increase the accuracy of the learning model and improve the execution speed while avoiding the 'curse of dimension' phenomenon. In this paper, we conducted classification of ransomware by applying three machine learning models and two feature extraction techniques to two datasets with extremely different dimensions of feature space. As a result of the experiment, the feature dimensionality reduction techniques did not significantly affect the performance improvement in binary classification, and it was the same even when the dimension of featurespace was small in multi-class clasification. However, when the dataset had high-dimensional feature space, LDA(Linear Discriminant Analysis) showed quite excellent performance.
We measured mechanical properties, including Young's modulus, effective bending modulus and nominal fracture strength of nanohoneycomb structures using an Atomic Force Microscope(AFM) and a Nano-Universal Testing Machine(UTM). Anodic aluminum oxide(AAO) films are well suited as nanohoneycomb structures because of the simple fabrication process, high aspect ratio, self-ordered hexagonal pore structure, and simple control of pore dimensions. Bending tests were carried out for cantilever structures by pressing AFM tips, and the results were compared with three-point bending tests and tensile tests using a Nano-UTM. One side of the AAO films is clogged by harrier layers, and looks like a face material of conventional sandwich structures. Analysis of this layer showed that it did not influence the bending rigidity, and was just a crack tip. The present results can act as a design guideline in applications of nanohoneycomb structures.

This study aims to elicit the vision of the future human being and mathematical competencies that next generation should pursue to be nurtured through mathematics education as regarding the need for a national mid-term to long-term mathematics education standard for nurturing learners that can accommodate changes in the future society is emerging. The research team established the criterion for domains of mathematical competencies through the analysis of prior research, and then, refined three dimensions of mathematical competencies and the domains of each dimension through expert advice (9 people in total, 3 times) and focus group interviews (10 people in total, 4 times). After conducting a large-scale survey (295 people in total) which includes elementary and secondary teachers, professors, and researchers, etc., the vision of the future human being and mathematical competencies were elicited. In order to utilize the vision of the future human being and mathematical competencies, five stages of research on the development and utilization of mathematics education standards were proposed. Cooperating with related organizations, securing the research project period and expanding the scope of research team composition, and providing web-based documentation of mathematics education standards will be needed for the follow-up studies.

Background: During postural control, older adults are more dependent on proprioception than are young adults. Ankle proprioception, which plays an important role in maintaining postural balance, decreases with age. Published studies are insufficient to establish a significant age difference in postural sway resulting from the known age-related decrease in ankle proprioception and do not examine various detailed test conditions. Objects: The present study aimed to compare ankle proprioception between older and younger groups along dimensions of position vs. force proprioception and dorsiflexion vs. plantarflexion. The present study also aimed to compare postural sway between young and older women during quiet standing under two sensory conditions. Methods: We recruited seven young women aged 21-24 and seven older women aged 60-63. Ankle proprioception was assessed as the accuracy of the joint position sense (JPS) and the force sense (FS). Postural sway was assessed using center-of-pressure measurements recorded during quiet standing under two sensory positions: eyes open and eyes closed with head tilted back. Results: Older women had lower JPS in dorsiflexion and lower FS in plantarflexion than did younger women. We found no significant age differences in JPS in plantarflexion or in FS in dorsiflexion. We observed a main effect of group on postural sway in two sway parameters out of three. We observed significant differences in JPS with dorsiflexion, and in FS with plantarflexion. Conclusion: Proprioception for ankle plantar flexor decreased more significantly with aging than did that for ankle dorsiflexor, accounting for the impaired postural balance observed in older women.
Experimental and discrete element approaches were used to examine the effects of F shape non-persistent joints on the failure behaviour of concrete under uniaxial compressive test. concrete specimens with dimensions of 200 cm×200 cm×50 cm were provided. Within the specimen, F shape non-persistent joint consisting three joints were provided. The large joint length was 6 cm, and the length of two small joints were 2 cm. Vertical distance between two small joints change from 1.5 cm to 4.5 cm with increment of 1.5 cm. In constant joint lengths, the angle of large joint change from 0° to 90° with increments of 30°. Totally 12 different models were tested under compression test. The axial load rate on the model was 0.05 mm/min. Concurrent with experimental tests, numerical simulation (Particle flow code in two dimension) were performed on the models containing F shape non-persistent joint. Distance between small joints and joint angles were similar to experimental one. the results indicated that the failure process was mostly governed by both of the Distance between small joints and joint angles. The axial loading rate on the model was 0.05 mm/min. The compressive strengths of the samples were related to the fracture pattern and failure mechanism of the discontinuities. Furthermore, it was shown that the compressive behaviour of discontinuities is related to the number of the induced tensile cracks which are increased by increasing the joint angle. In the first, there were only a few acoustic emission (AE) hits in the initial stage of loading, and then AE hits rapidly grow before the applied stress reached its peak. Furthermore, a large number of AE hits accompanied every stress drop. Finally, the failure pattern and failure strength are similar in both approaches i.e., the experimental testing and the numerical simulation approaches.
Purpose - In hotel industry, quality of leader-member exchange(LMX) relationship is very critical, because it impacts on the employee's work attitude and behaviors. Thus, this research examines the effect of LMX on employee loyalty in the context of hotel business and identifies mediating roles of work stressors, work role performance in the relationship between LMX and employee loyalty. This research suggests the guidelines for how hotel leaders should manage their employees and build employee loyalty that improve management and business performance. Research design, data, and methodology - This study tests the structural relationship between LMX, work stressors, work role performance, and employee loyalty. Work role performance divide into three sub-dimensions such as individual task proficiency, individual task adaptivity, and individual task proactivity. In order to examine the purposes of this research, research model and hypotheses were developed. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and tested in the previous studies. The data were collected from 113 franchise hotel employees and were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3 program. Result - The findings of this research are as follows. First, leader-member exchange(LMX) have significant positive impacts on work stressors, work role performance, and employee loyalty. Second, work stressors have significant negative impacts on work role performance and employee loyalty. Third, work role performance has significant positive impact on employee loyalty. Conclusions - The outcomes of this research indicate that hotel leaders should focus on the dyadic relationship with their employees how to improve employee productivity through LMX relationship. In turn, the quality of this relationship influences employees's work attitudes and behaviors. As a result of increasing job demands in hotel business which relies heavily on human resources, the hotel leader must find ways to prevent or reduce stressors and associated strains. If hotel employees perceive the high quality of LMX relationship, they improve their work role performance which influences loyalty. Therefore, the hotel leaders should develop monetary or non-monetary reward system for the employees and, make an efforts to have unique social exchange relationships with employees.

One of the important problems of concrete placing is the concrete compaction, which can affect the strength, durability and apparent quality of the hardened concrete. Therefore, vibrating operations might be accompanied by much noise and the need for training the involved workers, while inappropriate functioning can result in many problems. One of the most important methods to solve these problems is to utilize self-compacting cementitious composites instead of the normal concrete. Due to their benefits of these new materials, such as high tensile, compressive, and flexural strength, have drawn the researchers' attention to this type of cementitious composite more than ever. In this experimental investigation, six mixing designs were selected as a base to acquire the best mechanical properties. Moreover, forty-eight rectangular composite panels with dimensions of 300 mm × 400 mm and two thickness values of 30 mm and 50 mm were cast and tested to compare the flexural and impact energy absorption. Steel fibers with volume fractions of 0%, 0.5% and 1% and with lengths of 25 mm and 50 mm were imposed in order to prepare the required cement composites. In this research, the composite panels with two thicknesses of 30 mm and 50 mm, classified into 12 different groups, were cast and tested under three-point flexural bending and repeated drop weight impact test, respectively. Also, the examination and comparison of flexural energy absorption with impact energy absorption were one of the other aims of this research. The obtained results showed that the addition of fibers of longer length improved the mechanical properties of specimens. On the other hand, the findings of the flexural and impact test on the self-compacting composite panels indicated a stronger influence of the long-length fibers.

This study aims to examine the effects of bureaucratic characteristics, which are the most common in modern library organizations among organizational characteristics of public libraries, on the organizational commitment of librarians. Doing this analysis, 185 librarians from 20 public libraries in the Seoul metropolitan area of South Korea were surveyed to look into the bureaucratic and post-bureaucratic characteristics of each library, such as specialization, hierarchy of authority, system of rules, integration, and participation, and the three dimensions of organizational commitment of affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. According to this analysis, the hierarchy of authority had a negative effect on affective and normative commitment, while integration had a positive impact on affective and continuance commitment, and participation had a positive effect on affective and normative commitment. The findings, therefore, show that a combination of bureaucratic and post-bureaucratic characteristics, which reduces the hierarchy of authority and strengthens integration and participation, would increase organizational commitment. This study is meaningful in that, through empirical research, it suggests organizational bureaucratic characteristics that would raise organizational commitment in public library organizations.
