화원 위치에 따른 지하 복합 발전 플랜트 내 열유동 특성 연구 (Characteristics of Thermal and Fluid Flows for Different Fire Locations in Underground Combined Cycle Power Plant)

  • 본 연구에서는 Fire Dynamics Simulation (FDS)를 이용하여 화재 기류 전파 경로 상에 플랜트 설비 유무가 공간 내 열유동 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 화원 위치에 따른 지하 복합 발전 플랜트 내 화재 해석을 수행하였다. 화원의 크기는 10 MW이며, 화원 상부의 장애물(설비)의 유무에 따라 화원 위치가 천장 및 화원 상부에서의 열 기류 선단의 전파 특성을 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 비교분석하였다. 결과로서, 화원 상부에 장애물이 있을 경우, 화재 기류가 화원 상부 천장에 도달하는 시간이 장애물이 없을 때에 비해 약 5 배가량 증가하였다. 화원 상부 천장 벽면의 천장 기류 시작 지점으로부터 거리에 따른 각 지점에서 열 기류 선단의 전파 시간의 평균적으로 장애물이 없는 경우에 비해 약 70% 가량 증가하였으며, 특히 10 m 지점에서는 4 배 가까이 증가하였다. 이는 장애물이 화원으로부터 발생하는 수직 열기류의 흐름을 방해하고, 장애물 뒤 쪽에 불안정한 후류가 형성되었기 때문이다. 따라서 지하복합 발전 플랜트 내 피난 및 재난 관리의 초기 대응 목적의 화재 감지 설비 시스템 설계 시 화재 시나리오에 따른 열유동 분석이 중요할 것으로 판단된다.

발전소의 스팀제어용 유압서보 액추에이터의 공기배출 밸브에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Air Vent Valve of the Hydraulic Servo Actuator for Steam Control of Power Plants)

  • 원자력 발전소와 화력 발전소에서는 양질의 전기를 생산하기 위해서는 발전기에 연결된 고압 및 저압 증기터빈에 최적량의 증기를 공급하여야 한다. 터빈에 증기를 공급하거나 차단하는 특수한 밸브인 터빈출력제어장치를 사용하고 있으며, 이 터빈출력제어장치는 유압서보 액추에이터로 구동 된다. 발전소에서는 유압시스템에서 생성되는 기체로 인하여 유압서보 액추에이터의 성능이 저하되거나, 생성된 기체가 압축되면서 발생하는 열로서 씰을 태우고 마모를 증가시켜서 빈번한 고장이 유발된다. 일부 발전소에서는 고정형 오리피스를 사용하여 공기를 배출하고 있지만 많은 유량배출에 따른 동력 손실과 빈번하게 작동되는 펌프, 전기모터 및 밸브 등의 고장을 발생시킨다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 고정형 오리피스와 같이 초기에 많은 량의 공기를 배출하고 정상운전에서는 매우 미세한 유량만 통과 시킬 수 있는 부하 감응형 공기 배출밸브를 모델링하고 해석하여 장착함으로서 유압서보 액추에이터의 제어 정밀성 확보와 기체 압축으로 인한 고장을 방지할 수 있게 하였다.

사파이어 단결정의 Kyropoulos 성장시 도가니 형상에 따른 유동장 및 결정성장 거동의 CFD 해석 (CFD analysis for effects of the crucible geometry on melt convection and growth behavior during sapphire single crystal growth by Kyropoulos process)

  • 사파이어 단결정은 GaN계 화합물 증착이 용이하여 고휘도의 청색을 구현하기 위한 LED(Light Emitting Diode)용 기판으로 크게 각광받고 있다. 공업용 사파이어의 제조 방법으로는 Kyropoulos법, Czochralski법 HEM(Heat Exchager Method)등 다양한 방법이 시도되고 있으며, 그 중 Kyropoulos법은 고품질의 대구경 사파이어 단결정 성장이 가능한 대표적인 방법으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 Kyropoulos 공정의 특성상 결정성장로 내에서 용융 사파이어의 유동장이 단결정의 최종 품질을 결정하는데, 유동장의 변화와 이에 따르는 결정성장 거동을 관찰하기가 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 대구경화와 동시에 고품질의 사파이어 단결정을 생산하기 위해서는 성장로내의 유동장 해석을 통해 결정 성장조건을 최적화 하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 유한요소법을 기반으로 한 전산유동해석을 통해 Kyropoulos 성장로 내의 도가니 형상의 종횡비(h/d)에 따른 용융 사파이어의 대류거동을 관찰하여 도가니의 형상이 단결정 성장에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 성장로의 설계시 도가니의 종횡비를 작게 고려하면 용융 사파이어의 대류속도를 늦추고 계면의 convexity를 줄여 사파이어 단결정의 품질향상에 도움이 된다는 결과를 얻었다.

누출공 크기에 따른 밀폐공간 내 수소 가스의 확산 특성 (Dispersion Characteristics of Hydrogen Gas by the Effect of Leakage Hole Size in Enclosure Space)

  • 수소는 공해가 없는 청정에너지 자원으로, 이를 활용하기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되고 점차 생산 및 소비량이 늘어날 것으로 전망된다. 그러나 수소의 열화학적 특성 상 매우 높은 가연성을 가지며, 특히 밀폐공간에서 수소 가스가 누출되는 경우에 위험성이 높다. 본 연구에서는 전산유체역학 해석기법을 적용하여 밀폐된 공간 내부의 수소가스 누출 현상에 대한 수치해석 연구를 수행하였고, 실험결과와 비교하였다. 또한, 검증된 해석기법을 적용하여 누출공의 크기에 따른 가스 확산 거동에 대하여 해석하고 다양한 기법을 통해 분석하였다. 누출 시간 경과에 따른 공간 내의 가연영역을 누출공 크기 별로 확인하고, 가연영역의 체적분율을 통하여 누출공의 크기가 증가할수록 공간 내부의 가연영역은 급속히 성장함을 확인하였다. 또한 수소 가스의 누출량과 가연영역이 천장까지 성장하는 최소 소요시간 사이의 관계를 도출하였다. 특정 모니터링 지점에서 가스 몰분율 분석을 통해 가스는 형상 규모의 영향을 받지 않고 등방적 특성으로 퍼져나감을 확인하였으며, 특정 지점에서의 가스 농도는 누출구로부터 발생하는 주 유동의 효과와 밀폐공간에서의 가스 누적 효과를 모두 고려해야 함을 알 수 있었다.

화력발전소 탈질설비의 암모니아 혼합 관에서 희석 공기와 암모니아의 혼합에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mixing of Dilution Air and Ammonia in the Ammonia Mixing Pipe of the Thermal Power Plant De-NOx Facility)

  • 강화되는 환경 규제에 따라 석탄 화력발전소에서는 암모니아를 환원제로 사용하는 선택적 촉매 환원법을 이용하여 질소산화물의 발생량을 감소시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전산유동 해석을 수행하여 암모니아 혼합 관에서 희석 공기와 암모니아를 효과적으로 혼합하기 위한 혼합 장치를 도출하는 것을 목적으로 수행하였다. 혼합 장치가 없는 기존 혼합 관 형상인 Case 1-1 형상을 기준으로 혼합 관내의 후류 단면과 16개 출구에서 암모니아 농도의 %RMS를 비교하여 혼합 효과를 비교하였다. 혼합 장치는 암모니아 공급 관 후류에 사각 판과 혼합 관 벽면에 원호 모양의 판의 위치를 변경하여 수행하였다. 기존 형상의 경우(Case 1-1)에 16개 출구에서 암모니아 농도의 %RMS는 29.50%로 나타났다. 혼합 장치 형상이 암모니아 공급 관 후류에 사각 판이 있는 것과 인접한 곳에 원호 판을 설치한 Case 3-2 형상의 16개 출구에서 암모니아 농도의 %RMS는 2.08%로 나타났으며 암모니아 혼합에 가장 효과적인 혼합 형상임을 알 수 있었다.

하수슬러지 처리를 위한 다축 스크류 난류 접촉식 건조기의 최적 설계 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Design of Multiple Screw Type Dryer for Treatment of Sewage Sludge)

  • 본 연구는 유 무기성 폐기물 처리를 위한 다축스크류 난류접촉식 고효율 건조기의 최적 설계를 위한 연구의 일환으로 실험적 연구와 수치해석적 연구를 통하여 건조기 내부의 열유동 메카니즘을 규명하고 건조효율을 높일 수 있는 설계 기준을 제시 하고자 수행되었다. 사용된 건조기의 대표적인 특성은 건조용 가스의 바이패스 시스템으로 연소를 통해 얻어진 고온의 가스가 다축 스크류 내부 축을 따라 흐르면서 분공을 통해 고속으로 슬러지 내부로 분출되면서 열풍 건조를 하게 되는 것이다. 다양한 열원의 적용이 가능하고 고온 난류 분사식으로 높은 건조속도를 갖고 있으며 고점성 물질에도 적용이 가능한 것이 장점이다. 여기서 건조가스의 분배는 슬러지를 체적 가열하는 한편 슬러지가 뭉치지 않고 지속적으로 열과 물질 전달을 원활하게 하는 기공을 유지하도록 해야 한다. 실험결과 하수슬러지 200 kg/hr를 처리하는데 스크류를 1 rpm으로 회전시킬 때 적정 체류시간은 100분 정도로 나타났다. 또한 다양한 열량 공급 결과 150,000 kcal/hr로 공급한 경우 높은 건조효율을 유지하면서 잉여 열량공급으로 인한 과도한 열피로 및 열량의 낭비를 줄일 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 유 무기성 슬러지의 설계기술 및 건조효율 향상을 위한 건조가스의 유동 및 온도분포를 수치해석적 연구를 통하여 계산하였으며 연소실과 건조실의 온도계산 결과는 실험 자료와 매우 유사하게 나타나서 성공적으로 비교검증을 수행하였으며, 향후 물질전달에 대한 세부적인 모델을 적용하여 연구를 지속적으로 수행할 예정이다.

CFD 기반의 순환 팬 배치 및 유속조절에 의한 식물공장의 에너지 효율 향상 (Improvement of Energy Efficiency of Plants Factory by Arranging Air Circulation Fan and Air Flow Control Based on CFD)

  • 농업과 IT기술 융합이 가속화됨에 따라 식물공장 내 작물의 품질 및 생산성을 향상시키기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 식물공장의 생산성을 최대화하기 위해서는 먼저 시설 내부의 특성을 고려하여 생육에 적합한 열 환경과 공기의 흐름을 제공하기 위한 고도의 생장환경 관리기술이 필요하다. 현재 운영되고 있는 식물공장은 특화된 공기유동장치의 설계 및 운영기술이 확립되지 않아 온도 기류 편차로 인한 불균일한 품질의 작물 생산, 재배기간 연장에 따른 에너지 소비 등의 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 식물공장 시설의 설계 단계에서 전산유체역학 시뮬레이션을 이용한 공기유동장치의 배치 및 운영기술에 대한 최적화 과정이 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) 시뮬레이션을 이용한 순환 팬의 적정 배치 및 유속을 파악하여 식물공장 시설 내부의 각 지점별 온도 편차를 최소화하고 에너지소비를 절감한다. 시뮬레이션 조건은 순환 팬의 설치 위치 및 수량 그리고 유속변화에 따라 총 12가지의 Case로 구분하였으며 해석을 위한 경계 조건 변수는 동일하게 설정하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 2set의 순환 팬을 식물재배기 상단에 부착한 Case D의 제어 조건이 설정온도에 부합하는 296.33K의 평균온도를 유지하면서 식물생육에 적합한 0.51m/s의 기류분포를 보였다. 또한, 순환 팬의 유속을 변화시킨 결과, 출구 유속을 2.09/s로 설정한 Case D-3이 에너지 효율 측면에서 가장 우수한 결과를 보였다.

효율적인 열에너지 관리를 위한 온실 형상 및 열 교환 장치 위치 개선에 따른 온실 내부 환경 예측 (Environmental Prediction in Greenhouse According to Modified Greenhouse Structure and Heat Exchanger Location for Efficient Thermal Energy Management)

  • 본 연구에서는 단면설계 및 열 교환 장치 위치 변경을 통해 온실의 구조 변경을 진행하였으며, 선행연구를 통해 개발된 모델을 근간으로 하여 개선 여부에 따른 온실 내부 환경을 예측하였다. 단면형상과 열 교환 장치의 개선 후 유속 변화에 따른 시뮬레이션 분석을 진행하였으며, 이 때 온도와 균일도는 각각 평균 0.65℃, 0.75%p 상승함을 확인하였다. 해석대상 온실과 같은 소규모 온실의 경우 방열관의 난방성능 개선보다 FCU에 의해 형성되는 공기 유동이 균일한 환경 조성에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다. 개선 전·후 온실에 환기시스템 적용 시 공기 유동 특성 분석을 위해 시뮬레이션 분석을 진행하였다. 공기 유동과 공기령은 유사한 분포를 보였으며, 개선 후 온실의 공기령이 개선 전 온실 대비 18초낮게 나타났다. 개선 전·후 온실 시뮬레이션 분석 결과 전체적으로 개선된 온실에서의 평균온도 및 온도 균일도 상승, 최대편차 감소 등 내부 환경의 균일성이 향상됨을 확인하였다. 선행연구로 개발된 모델은 형상 변경, 열 교환 장치 위치 변경 등에 따라 변화하는 온실 내부 환경을 예측할 수 있음을 확인하였으며, 온실 설계, 온실 내 난방시스템 설계 등의 분야에 적용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms.
