Incontinence is the urination disorder as the leakage of urine without her own volition and the woman's representative disease which reduce the life quality. The electromagnetic therapy has high possibility of development cause it has no needs of operant exercise, no arousing of shame and impossibility of infection. But, it has improvement points such as uniformity of the treatment protocol, patient dependance and absent of patient monitoring system. With these demands, the system which stimulate the pelvic flaw muscle with electromagnetic and monitoring the patient status during the therapy is proposed, in this study. And individually adapted electromagnetic therapy system for incontinence patient is also suggested. The proposed system consisted of electromagnetic generation device, cooling device, treating chair, patient monitoring device with pulsation and control software. The simulation for high power system and evaluation confirm was performed. With the development of control software, the convenience of using and maintenance are ensured and the patient adapted therapy protocol is applied. The developed patient adapted electromagnetic therapy system with monitoring device is regarded as the patient affinitive treating method by reducing the riskiness, improving the efficiency with patterned protocol and pre/post therapy. These results, in this study, can bring the safe and organized treatment method to incontinence patients and can lead the variable study for electromagnetic therapy in incontinence.
The recent advances in the basic hematology and immunology have significantly enhanced the understanding of histiocytic disorders. The Histiocyte Society which was established in 1985 enabled the randomized trials for these diseases, and important knowledge regarding pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis, therapy and late consequences has been obtained. The treatment of Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) has varied greatly over last decades, and is still controversial. Therapy can be reduced for low risk patients, and it is possible to discriminate early the non-responding patients with risk disease who might require more intensified treatment. Current therapy of LCH recommended by the Histiocyte Society (LCH-III protocol) is activated in 2001. Hemophaocytic histiocytosis (HLH) is fatal if diagnosis is delayed and appropriate therapy is not instituted rapidly. The diagnostic criteria for HLH is revised by the Histiocyte Society for the current treatment protocol (HLH-2004) which consists of dexamethasone, etoposide, and cyclosporin in combination with intathecal methotrexate. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is usually necessary for the primary HLH and recurrent secondary HLH.
This paper describes the evaluation of the effectiveness of rehabilitation therapy for patients with finger paralysis based on a two-finger force measurement system (TFFMS). The paralyzed fingers can be recovered through rehabilitation therapies. The finger pressing force of the patients can be measured utilizing the TFFMS previously developed by the author [7]. The TFFMS, however, has not been fully adopted as a standard method for evaluating the therapy owing to the lack of a standard protocol. The pressing force of healthy volunteers and patients is analyzed with the TFFMS to explore the feasibility of the TFFMS as an evaluation device. The test confirms that the established standard protocol is useful to quantitatively assess the progress of finger rehabilitation therapy.

This study proposes an execution protocol for fashion therapy. Research on fashion therapy are limited and insufficient for the current need for the establishment of a fashion therapy theory. This study introduces cognitive behavior therapy, embodied cognition, and object relations theory as theories that underlie fashion therapy. A fashion therapy system model is provided based on the analysis of art therapy to explore its applicability to fashion therapy. The fashion therapy system model utilizes fashion items to managing pain and stress to better competence, encouragement and self-expression mechanisms to improve social, psychological, emotional and behavioral functions. In addition, 8 phases of the fashion therapy process (inquiry, forming rapport, assessment, goal-objective, observation, selection of strategy and design, practice, and the final evaluation and closing of fashion therapy) are suggested for developing a practical fashion therapy program. This study is to help overcome a negative perspective on fashion that provokes an excessive spending behavior and to make a practical contribution by creating more social value through fashion. The significance of the study is in the attempt to create an interdisciplinary approach of psychotherapy and fashion that can be extend into the fashion and textile discipline.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to report the clinical improvement of a patient who underwent arthroscopic Bankart repair using a rehabilitation protocol involving Korean medicine. Methods: The patient was treated with acupuncture, cupping, Korean Medicine, Chuna therapy, and Doin exercise therapy during the admission period. To estimate the patient's status, we used the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), Pain Disability Index (PDI), assessments of the range of motion (ROM) and Muscle Manual Test (MMT) for the shoulder joint. Results: After administering the abovementioned treatments, we found that the patient's NRS, PDI, and ROM and MMT for the shoulder joint were improved. Conclusions: The rehabilitation protocol involving Korean medicine can be applied to and produce good results for patients who undergo arthroscopic repair for Bankart lesions. The limitation of the study was that the number of cases we studied was insufficient to prove the effectiveness. Hence, further studies are needed for designing the rehabilitation protocol involving Korean medicine.
Quality Assurance (QA) is essential to provide effective hyperthermia, but in the case of a problem with a hyperthermia cancer therapy system in Korea, the manufacturers or venders are repairing and maintaining the system. In Korea, if an error occurs in the hyperthermia system, the manufacturer and sales agent are repairing and maintaining it. There is no QA protocol suitable for the domestic situation. This study is based on the QA guidelines recommended by institutions such as European Society for Hyperthermia Oncology (ESHO), Hellenic Society of Oncologic Hyperthermia (HSOH), and the results of questionnaires to hospitals that have hyperthermia cancer therapy systems in Korea. By developing an optimized QA protocol, we aim to reduce the errors and inaccuracies that can occur in during hyperthermia such as measurement of temperature, instrumentation, and heat transfer. In addition, we will visit a hospital with a hyperthermia cancer therapy system in Korea to perform a QA based on this study, and study to specify tolerances and accurate QA set-up parameters using the measured QA results.

Background: Recent studies have demonstrated the benefits of off-pump coronary bypass grafting over the on-pump technique in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). To further reduce the risk of acute kidney injury and the need for renal replacement therapy, even in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, we adopted protocol-based perioperative management for patients with CKD. Methods: From December 2012 to March 2015, 265 patients underwent isolated off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting. To analyze renal function in a stable condition, we excluded 12 dialysis-dependent end stage renal failure and 10 emergency or urgent cases. Among the remaining 243 patients, 208 patients had normal kidney function (normal group), and 35 patients had CKD (CKD group). Minimizing contrast exposure, ensuring adequate hydration, using strict drug dosage adjustment, and optimizing hemodynamic status were key elements of the protocol for the CKD group. Results: The risk of acute kidney injury was about ${\times}3$ higher in the CKD group than in the normal group (p=0.01). Estimated glomerular filtration rates and serum creatinine levels deteriorated until the third postoperative day in the CKD group. However, by adopting protocol-based perioperative management, this transient renal dysfunction recovered to preoperative levels by the fifth postoperative day without requiring renal replacement therapy in all cases. Conclusion: Off-pump coronary bypass surgery combined with this protocol-based perioperative management strategy in patients with non-dialysis-dependent CKD could mostly be performed without renal replacement therapy.

Common dental procedures (local anesthesia and dental treatment) are potentially stress-inducing in many patients, especially medically compromised patients. The body response to dental stress involves the cardiovascular system (an increase in cardiovascular workload), the respiratory organ and the endocrine system (change in metabolism). To minimize the stress to the medical risk patient, the stress reduction protocol was established. The obtained contents were as follows: (1) Recognize the patient's degree of medical risk (2) Complete medical consultation before dental therapy (3) Schedule the patient's appointment in the morning (4) Monitor and record preoperative, perioperative and postoperative vital signs (5) Use psychosedation during therapy (6) Use adequate pain control during therapy (7) Short length of appointment: do not exceed the patient's limits of tolerance (8) Follow up with postoperative pain/anxiety control (9) Telephone the higher medical risk patient later on the same day that treatment was given. This protocol is predicated on the belief that the prevention of or reduction of stress ought to begin before the start of an appointment, continue throughout treatment, and, if indicated, into the postoperative period. The authors used the stress reduction protocol in the care of local anesthesia infected teeth in medically compromised patients. The final prognosis was comfortable without any complications.

Purpose : Since the first report by Mendoza in 1990, there have been several studies reporting that long-term intravenous methylprednisolone(MP) pulse therapy combined with cyclosporin A(CsA) or cyclophosphamide might be beneficial for the treatment of steroid resistant focal segmental glometulosclerosis(FSGS). We investigated the therapeutic effect of long-term MP pulse therapy without CsA or cyclophosphamide on steroid resistant FSGS. Methods : The medical records of the 10 steroid resistant FSGS patients who were treated with MP pulse therapy by the Mendoza protocol without CsA or cyclophosphamide in our hospital were retrospectively reviewed. Results : The median age at onset was 2.6 years(range 1.1-10.6 years) and the median age at the initiation of therapy was 5.7 years(range 1.8-20 years). The median duration of follow-up was 35 months(range 4-132 months). At the end of therapy, 5 patients achieved complete remission(50%) and 2 partial remission(20%), one of whom relapsed after the therapy. Three patients did not respond to the therapy, two of whom progressed to end-stage renal failure during the therapy eventually requiring kidney transplantation. Conclusion : Intravenous long-term MP pulse therapy without CsA or cyclophosphamide by the Mendoza protocol may be effective in a subset of patients with steroid-resistant FSGS.
