Library authorities are responsible for allocating its resources to best achieve library goals. This means the question of benefits and costs for library activities, as well as a n.0, pplication of economic theory to it. To consider these, this study dealt with theoretical analysis: 1) the nature of economic models, 2) economic theory to library activities, 3) and its a n.0, pplicability. However, economic model method allows us to use an analytic technique that is founded on library production and consumption. Thus, its major contribution is creation of a framework or system for maximizing the efficient library activities.

학문의 지식체계를 형성하는데 있어서 하나의 일련과정으로 밀접하게 상호연관된 이론개발 및 이론활용 연구가 뒷받침되어야 한다는 전제 하에, 본 연구는 문헌정보학 연구논문의 이론개발 및 이론활용 사례의 양적/질적 측면을 조사함으로써 문헌정보학의 이론적 기반을 분석하고자 하였다. 특히, 본 연구는 세부주제영역에 따른 이론개발 및 이론활용 연구의 특성에 주목함으로써 문헌정보학의 이론적 기반 형성에 기여한 세부주제영역을 보다 구체적으로 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 1984년부터 2003년에 출판된 1,661편의 연구논문을 대상으로 내용분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 22개의 세부주제영역 중에서 정보이용탐색, 정보검색, 도서관경영, 학술커뮤니케이션 영역이 이론개발과 이론활용의 모든 측면에 가장 큰 기여를 한것으로 나타났다. 또한 주제영역별로 생산된 논문 수에 따른 이론적 연구의 비율을 살펴보았을 때, 계량정보학과 전문직 영역에 대한 연구가 매우 이론적인 특성을 보였다. 이 외에 각 세부주제영역별로 사용된 이론을 분석하였을 때, 일부 세부주제영역 간에 유사한 이론적 기반을 공유하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

오늘날의 의학도서관은 진료, 연구, 의료업무 등과 관련된 정보를 제공하는 전문도서관으로서 보다 합리적이고 효율적인 개념을 바탕으로 하는 경영이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 의학도서관의 경영에 대한 이론적 배경을 살펴본 뒤, 서울시에 소재한 의학도서관을 대상으로 직접방문과 웹페이지 그리고 통계자료를 통하여 의학도서관의 경영자원에 관한 운영실태를 비교 분석하고, 그 분석의 결과를 바탕으로 효과적이고 효율적인 운영을 위한 방향을 제시함으로써 의학도서관 나아가 도서관경영 일반의 합리화에 기틀들 마련하고자 하였다.

이 연구에서는 도메인분석에 대해서 이론적으로 고찰함으로써 문헌정보학적 관점에서의 지식이론과 문헌정보학의 이론적 틀을 제시함과 동시에 문헌정보학의 연구방법론에 일반원칙을 제시하였다. 도메인분석에서 핵심적인 개념은 도메인을 구성하는 주제지식과 그 지식을 공유하는 담론 커뮤니티라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 도메인의 정의를 제시하고 도메인을 존재론적. 인식론적. 사회학적 차원에서 살펴보았으며, 도메인분석에서 이용할 수 있는 11가지 연구방법을 제시하였다. 그리고 도메인분석이 문헌정보학에서 가지는 함의를 사회-인지적 관점과 실용적 사실주의의 입장에서 검토하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the current status and to suggest some strategies for vitalizations of the citizen participation in Korean public library administration as a part of exploring ways toward the development of public libraries in the time of localization. The concepts, types, needs and some problems of the citizen participation in local public administration are examined as a theoretical framework for this study. Public library board system in America and public library council system in Japan are investigated on their history, legal status, composition, function and are evaluated as a citizen participation system. Results of the survey on actual conditions of the institutional device for citizen participation in Korean public library administration, library administration committee, are presents. And some strategies for vitalizations of the system are suggested.

본 연구는 이론활용 관점에서 국내 문헌정보학 연구의 특성을 조사함으로써 문헌정보학의 학문적 성장과 변화를 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2010년에서 2014년까지 최근 5년 동안 "한국문헌정보학회지"에 게재된 연구논문 344편에 대한 내용분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 1984년부터 2003년까지 조사된 과거 연구결과와의 비교를 통해 종단 분석을 시도하였다. 분석결과, 13.7%의 논문에서 평균 2.02회 이론을 활용하였다. 단순언급 수준으로 이론이 가장 많이 활용되었고, 그 다음 이론응용 수준으로 활용되었다. 교육과 정보이용/탐색 주제 영역에서의 이론 활용이 가장 활발하였다. 문헌정보학의 고유 이론은 31.9%, 사회과학 이론은 58.3% 활용되었다. 이러한 결과를 과거와 비교하면, 이론활용 연구가 양적으로 크게 증가하지는 않았지만 최근 연구일수록 이론을 깊이 있게 활용하는 양상이 두드러졌기 때문에 이론활용 연구가 질적으로 성장했음을 알 수 있다. 또한 문헌정보학의 고유 이론을 활용하는 비중은 줄고 사회과학 분야, 특히 교육학과 심리학과의 연관성이 강해진 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Marketing can assist libraries in determining their future and identifying quality products - services, programs and materials. Marketing provides a theoretical framework addressing the specific library and information science questions facing public, school, special and academic libraries in both the public and private sectors. The purpose of this paper is to analyse information marketing. For this purpose, characteristics of information, concept of marketing are to be studied, and then the process of information marketing program is analysed by market segmentation, marketing audit, marketing mix(products, pricing, place, promotion) and marketing system development. As a result, traditionally having focused on the undifferentiated and concentrated marketing strategies in the market segmentation, now they have to develope differentiated strategies in order to compete with other information centers.

This study aims to develop a comprehensive technological framework anchored in a theoretical model to assess user satisfaction with university library websites (ULWs) in Myanmar. Adopting a quantitative approach, data were obtained via convenience sampling and subsequent inferential analysis. The target population for this study investigated users of various ULWs in Myanmar who were utilizing six university libraries. Of the collected responses, 273 valid surveys were analyzed using SPSS (version 25) and AMOS. Tools such as structural equation modeling and confirmatory factor analysis played pivotal roles in data interpretation and hypothesis validation. The proposed model highlights the significance of information quality, system quality, and librarian services in influencing both perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU), culminating in user satisfaction. Notably, information quality and librarian services primarily impact PU, while system quality is more influential on PEOU. Interestingly, while PU has a direct bearing on user satisfaction, PEOU does not. Moreover, demographic elements such as age, gender, and education level introduce considerable differences in the utilization of ULW services. Drawing from the study's findings, recommendations are made for ULW managers in Myanmar to bolster services, aligning with user preferences. The resulting framework offers tangible benefits to Myanmar's educational sector, including academia, government entities, librarians, and policy framers. This pioneering research delves into the realm of ULWs in Myanmar's higher education sector. Practically, the research underscores the necessity for stakeholders, encompassing Myanmar's library experts and governing bodies, to elevate the standard of ULWs. Theoretically, a salient takeaway is the direct linkage between heightened usefulness and increased user satisfaction.

본 연구는 최근 문헌정보학에 대두되고 있는 정보코먼스 및 러닝코먼스에 대한 개념과 차이점을 분석하고 일본 공공도서관의 러닝코먼스화 사례연구를 통하여 공공도서관의 러닝코먼스화 방향에 관한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 러닝코먼스화 분석을 위해 러닝코먼스의 구성요소를 이론적으로 정리해보고, 공공도서관에 적합한 분석의 틀을 설계하고 일본의 공공도서관에 대한 사례분석을 실시하였다. 사례 분석의 결과, 도서관이 정보의 도구에 의해 주도된 정보 코먼스를 넘어 본연의 학습기능으로 돌아가고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 또한 러닝코먼스를 지향하는 공공도서관이 해야 할 미래 과제에 대한 시사점을 던져주고 있다.

이 연구는 국가균형발전과 지방분권이라는 시대적 조류에 편승하여 현재의 '완전 집중형' 국가도서관시스템을 '집중-분산형'으로 재편하기 위한 이론적 배경과 논리적 근거를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 주요 문화선진국인 영국, 독일, 프랑스, 일본을 벤치마킹의 대상으로 삼아 각각의 분산형 국가도서관시스템 구성을 정밀 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 후속연구에서는 국가도서관 지역분관 건립을 위한 중장기 기본계획(기본모형, 운영체계 및 역할분담 모형, 자료보존센터 모형 등)을 제시할 것이다.
