  • 디지털액자가 고전적 액자의 향취를 주며 또한 사진을 바꿀 수 있는 기능도 제공하지만 아직 새 흐름이 되는 못했다. 그 이유는 비싼 가격과 사진을 전송하기가 불편하기 때문이다. 우리는 디지털 액자로 사진 전송을 쉽게 하고, 거기에 더하여 위젯과 보안 기능을 추가하는 연구를 하였다. 사진 전송을 위하여 AWS(Amazon Web Service) 서버를 사용하는데 AWS 서버는 언제 어디서나 원할 때면 사진을 WiFi로 전송할 수 있게 한다. 이는 현재 사용하는 USB나 SD 카드를 이용하여 디지털 사진을 전송하는 것보다 훨씬 편리하다. 우리의 디지털 액자를 사용하면 다른 사람과 사진 교환이 쉽고 따라서 가족, 친구, 동료 사이의 친밀감도 쉽게 높일 수 있다.

  • 최근 많이 활용되고 있는 라즈베리파이에 기반한 임베디드 시스템을 구축함에 있어서 사용자는 회로에 대한 이해와 하드웨어 비용이라는 측면에서 어려움을 갖게 되는 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 시스템을 가상으로 테스트할 수 있는 솔루션을 제안하고자 한다. 개발된 프로그램은 사용자가 실제 회로를 구성하는 것과 같이 가상의 공간에서 모듈을 배치하고 모듈 간에 선을 연결하는 것으로 회로를 구성하고 동작을 테스트할 수 있다 프로그램은 회로편집기, 인터프리터, 시뮬레이터의 세 가지 요소로 구성되어 있으며 전체 9개의 모듈을 제공하고 있다. 각각의 모듈은 제조사에서 제공하는 데이터 시트와 제원을 바탕으로 실제 회로 테스트를 거쳐 추상화하는 작업을 수행하였다. 개발된 프로그램의 품질수준을 한층 끌어올린다면 비용절감과 학습, 교육 측면에서 유용하게 이용될 수 있으며, 전기물리엔진의 구현, 실제 보드로 포팅이 가능한 수준의 인터프리터, 시뮬레이션 로직의 일반화가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 우리나라는 현재 코엑스, 백화점 같은 대형 건물들이 늘어나고 있다. 대형 건물은 실내 구조가 복잡해서 방문하는 사람들이 원하는 길을 찾기 어렵다. 기존 실외에서 길을 찾아주는 네비게이션의 발달은 단말기와 스마트폰의 발달과 함께 성장하였고, 모든 사람들이 사용할 수 있는 대중적인 서비스다. 하지만 기존 네비게이션에 위치 측정 방법인 위성 GPS신호는 실내에서는 사용이 불가해 실내 위치 측정을 위해 Wi-Fi, Beacon, Magnetic Field등 다른 기술을 사용하여 실내 위치 측정을 해야 한다. 그중에서도 이미 설치되어 있는 것을 사용하기 위해 Wi-Fi의 신호 값인 RSS값을 활용하였고, 일정하지 앉은 RSS값을 Kalman Filter와 EH Filter로 보정하여 정확한 실내 위치 측정이 된다는 것을 실험을 통해 보였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 운전자의 안전을 보장하기 위해 영상 처리 기술을 기반으로 도로 정보를 검출해 운전자에게 알려주고, 버튼을 직접 손으로 눌러야 하는 물리적 인터페이스를 대체할 차세대 인터페이스 기술을 제안한다. 제안된 기술은 카메라 한대에서 입력 받은 영상 정보를 제안된 알고리즘을 통해 앞차와의 거리, 차선, 교통 표지판을 검출하고 차량 내부를 주시하는 카메라와 운전자의 음성을 인식할 마이크를 기반으로 음성인식과 동작 인식이 결합된 인터페이스를 제공한다. 본 논문에서 개발된 기술을 통해 설제 테스트를 실시해 본 결과 표지판인식, 차선검출, 앞차와의 거리 검출 등의 인식률이 약 90% 이상이었으며, 이러한 기술적 요소들은 운전자가 인지하지 못하는 상황 등에서도 적절한 정보를 운전자에게 제공해 줌으로써 교통사고 확률을 크게 낮출 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

High School Students' Understanding of Astronomical Concepts Using the Role-playing and Discussion in Small Groups (소집단 역할놀이와 토의를 통한 고등학생들의 천문개념 이해)

  • The purpose of this study was to apply the instructional strategies for conceptual change prescribed by Posner et al(1982) to the astronomic content domain taught in the elementary and middle school and to analyze the characteristics of students' knowledge revealed in the test before, during and after the instruction. Also, it was to investigate the intercorrelation of cognitive levels, spatial ability and science achievement. The major findings of this study are as follows: 1. Students had a great variety of misconceptions related to the motion of the moon before the instruction, that is, the phases, the names of phases and the cause of changing phases by the moon's orbit about the earth, the moon's appearance and location at the given time, the relative positions of earth, moon and sun during a lunar eclipse, the cause that a full moon is not at the line of node once a month. In the analysis of students' responses concerning the cause of changing phases of the moon and a lunar eclipse, the results indicate that the great majority of students had rote learning rather than meaningful learning in the middle school. 2. Students' reponses during the instruction concerning the changing phases of the moon and the predictive knowledge about the motions of the earth and the moon were analyzed. 1) According to the results of the test given before and after experiment, after discussion, achievement score of the whole of subjects and groups in both preformal and formal cognitive levels appeared to increase linearly. 2) There was no statistically significant differences of achievement scores before and after experiment, after discussion between preformal group and formal group in cognitive levels. 3. Distribution of achievement scores according to the whole of subjects and groups in preformal and formal cognitive levels shows that there was a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest. 4. Types of conceptual changes concerning the cause of changing phases of the moon that occurred from pretest to posttest were classified as accommodation, incomplete accommodation, assimilation, no change and no model. Six of the seven students starting instruction with alternative frameworks didn't sustain those alternative models throughout instruction. Five of these six students accommodated completely and the last one partially. Seventy-nine percentage of students taking instruction with fragmental models assimilated correct propositions at the end of the instruction. These results suggest that conceptual change model prescribed by Posner et al(1982) has promised the meaningful learning to students taking with fragmental models, especially in cases where students with misconception enter instruction. 5. High correlation between achievement score of simple-recall items and that of written items in pretest and posttest indicates that the higher students got the score in simple-recall items the better they also performed in written items. However, there was no statistically significant differences among cognitive levels, spatial ability and science achievement in the whole of subjects and groups according to the cognitive levels.

Middle School and Science-gifted Students' Conceptions about Motion of Objects on the Surface of the Earth and the Moon (지구와 달 표면에서 물체의 운동에 대한 일반 중학생들과 과학영재학생들의 개념)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate middle school and science-gifted students' conceptions about motion of objects on the surface of the earth and the moon. The subjects were 61 first-, 51 second-, 51 third-year students, for a total of 163 in a middle school and 32 science-gifted students from a university-affiliated sciencegifted education center for secondary school students. The research contents were conceptions about motion of objects by the vertical direction, an inclined plane and horizontal plane on the surface of the earth and the moon. The questions were as follows: If two balls, same size but different mass, were put on, thrown over, by the vertical direction, an inclined plane and a horizontal plane on the surface of the earth and the moon at the same time and speed, which one would arrive faster than the other?; In the same mass in the earth and the moon, how fast could the object reach to which location, the earth or the moon? The results showed that science-gifted students offer meaningful difference on the concept of objects in motion at the vertical direction, an inclined plane and a horizontal plane on the earth and at the vertical direction on the moon than general middle school students. There were meaningful difference on the vertical up direction, an inclined plane and a horizontal plane in the same situation in the earth and the moon. Finally, based on the results of our study, we discuss possible educational implications for teaching the concept of objects in motion.

Moon Phase based Threshold Determination for VIIRS Boat Detection

  • Awareness of boats is a main issue in areas of fishery management, illegal fishing, and maritime traffic, etc. For the awareness, Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Vessel-Pass System (V-PASS) have been widely used to collect the boat-related information. However, only using these systems makes it difficult to collect the accurate information. Recently, satellite-based data has been increasingly used as a cooperative system. In 2015, U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) developed a boat detection algorithm using Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Day & Night Band (DNB) data. Although the detections have been widely utilized in many publications, it is difficult to estimate the night-time fishing boats immediately. Particularly, it is difficult to estimate the threshold due to the lunar irradiation effect. This effect must be corrected to apply a single specific threshold. In this study, the moon phase was considered as the main frequency of this effect. Considering the moon phase, relational expressions are derived and then used as offsets for relative correction. After the correction, it shows a significant reduction in the standard deviation of the threshold compared to the threshold of NOAA. Through the correction, this study can set a constant threshold every day without determination of different thresholds. In conclusion, this study can achieve the detection applying the single specific threshold regardless of the moon phase.

  • Objective : The Blood-Letting Therapy which gives an acupuncture and lets blood on the surface of body by using various needles is quite effective in chronic disease. SoMoon lays the theoretical foundation of Korean Medicine. This article could help improve the understanding of the blood-letting therapy in SoMoon and also paves the way for applying the therapy to treatment of the various diseases. Method : This study selected the texts correlated to indications of blood-letting, after collecting the sentences from SoMoon with the search words 'blood', 'stagnated blood' and so on. Conclusion : This study on the Blood-Letting Therapy includes the way and location to give an acupuncture, the general rules of prescription, needles, amount of blood-letting, running mechanism and attentions. The purpose of Blood Letting Therapy is to treat and cure the disease through Improve vital energy and Expel harmful energy by improving meridian function and harmonizing Um-Yang and Ki-Blood.
