This study is regarding the accessibility for the disabled in the catholic churches. The purpose is to check the current condition of the accessibility for the disabled and to suggest the improvement plans targeted at 10 churches located in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon metropolitan city. Especially the current condition of the obligations and recommendations specified in the accessibility enhancement law for the disabled was performed through field investigation. Firstly, the accessibility for the disabled of each church was evaluated qualitatively as well as quantitatively. And then sequential improvement plans divided into three stages were suggested. Above all, the parish, management authority of catholic churches should establish medium and long-term plans besides legal standards. Even though the scope of this research was limited to catholic churches of certain areas, the result of this research is expected to help investigation the current condition of the accessibility for the disabled and to suggest the improvement plans in other catholic churches.

A new scheme needed to improve digital information accessibility with overall environment for handicapped persons is introduced in this paper. The improvement effects of digital information accessibility for handicapped persons are expected only when all the necessary hardwares and softwares need to input, process, output of information with social elements are provided all together. There are many previous papers regarded on web accessibility or IT technologies for handicapped persons separately. However, these subjects and computer accessibility are described here as a combined subject, and a new integrated improvement scheme including social factors and technical factors is suggested in this paper.

In this paper, the web accessibility of institutions and organizations that are related to disaster response we evaluate analysis. Along with the legal enforcement of Web accessibility, It is because shall comply with web accessibility. we have applied the K-WAH4.4 as an evaluation tool for web accessibility compliance of actual conditions. Look at the degree of compliance with the six detailed procedure of the web site, we request to the improvement of Web accessibility. Based on the guidelines 2.0, looked to the insufficient compliance rate at 61.8%. Then, we propose the need for improvement to enhance Web accessibility.

2008 Disability Discrimination Act was enacted, Web accessibility compliance has been carried out from April 11, 2013. Therefore, all of the institutions and corporations in 2015, must fulfill the compliance of Web accessibility. In this paper, research for Web accessibility of Geriatric Hospital, to raise the improvement. We have applied the K-WAH 4.4 as accessibility evaluation tool. The results were evaluated on the basis of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, it was very low.

This study is to investigate the accessibility compliance status of smart devices for people with disabilities in the information age, smart and offer improvements. Studies suggested an increase in the competitiveness and roles of mainline railways like speed and accessibility improvement, as a fundamental direction of the National Transport Network Plan. At this point, topics presented especially for strengthening the role of human and environment centered transportation: as to the greatly improved speed competitiveness, there are an operational speed above 180km/h ~ 200km/h and traveling within 2 ~ 3 hours among big cities. As to accessibility improvement, there are accessibility to main railway stations within 30 minutes, and the improvement of accessibility, safety, eco-friendliness, amenity etc. As a part of these suggestions, field specific plans were proposed for the establishment of expressed mainline railway network in Korea such as train's, civil structures, trolley lines etc. In this paper we analyzed the conventional lines and systems to figure out whether to change details in terms of H/W of signaling system. Additionally, we reviewed the compatibility or difference of signalling system depending on train's speed. With this result, we deduced the number of virtual blocks specific to the speed of 180km/h, 200km/h and 230km/h, which were showed for the speed improvement considering each variable like blocks, braking distance etc. In this way, we suggested the railway signal system establishment plan considering safety operation.

In this study, we investigated web contents accessibility of 60 hospital web sites in Korea. The eight evaluation criteria were used for estimating the web contents accessibility of the web sites. These criteria were as follows: providing an alternative text, providing caption for moving picture, providing a skip navigation, usage of pop-up windows, usage of a summary or a caption tag for data table, providing a page title, providing a label for online form, and usage of java scripts. K-WAH 3.0 was used for estimating five evaluation criteria. According to Internet web contents accessibility guideline 1.0, we estimated the rest three evaluation criteria manually and described good or bad examples for the evaluation results technically. The results show that the web accessibility of hospital web sites is generally insufficient and the constant interests in improvement for accessibility are urgently needed.

In the study, we introduce the trend in domestic and foreign web accessibility, as well as the legal system that ensures web accessibility. Based on Korean Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (KWCAG)1.0, we investigated the web content accessibility of 80 tertiary health-care hospitals and general hospitals in Korea. We evaluated accessibility by combining accessibility-based criteria (ABC) with usability-based criteria (UBC). ABC was limited to an alternative text for Guideline 1, using a small number of frames and keyboard accessibility for Guideline 2. UBC checked the voice service (TTS), resizing text, providing multi-lingual websites, and disclosing web accessibility policy. KADO-WAH2.0 was used for representing the compliance rate. The evaluation result was a considerable improvement from previous results, even though the rate of compliance with web accessibility was generally insufficient. There was a significant difference between those medical centers which did and did not comply with web accessibility. Incidentally, many hospitals were found to have attempted to confront and come to terms with web accessibility. In future, the following factors are advisable for medical centers with publicity or public interest: they must employ active and aggressive promotion of establishment of independent accessibility guidelines to secure web accessibility, they should effect an improvement of the realization of web accessibility, there can be constant education and promotion, and there can be an institutional supplementation, as well as others.

In this paper, we study improvement of web accessibility of Korean Internet shopping mall websites. First, we analyze the criteria of Korean web accessibility, and then evaluate the web accessibility level of major Internet shopping mall websites in Korea. Based on the evaluation of web accessibility level, we propose and implement an alternative text enhancement method using Excel VBA to increase the rate of alternative text for improving web accessibility. Using the proposed method, even non-specialists of web programming can check and modify the alternative text of the image included in web pages, which can help improve the web accessibility compliance rate.

The purpose of this paper is to find the method to improve the web accessibility of Korean Government's web sites through the investigation on the evaluation result of visually impaired people and the accessibility evaluation tool. Twenty five Korean Governments' web sites are chosen for this experiment. First, all of the sites are evaluated by accessibility evaluation tool (A-Prompt) based on Priority one of the Web Contents Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0 of W3C. Second, three visually impaired people tried to find information or resister for the sites to check the accessibility. All of the sites are failed to conform to WCAG 1.0 and most of those are not accessible to information. The last part of this paper presents the method to improve the web accessibility of the Government's web sites.
