  • Small and Medium-sized Enterprises are the backbones of the national economy in production and employment. Information technology can contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs. This study aims to organize the comprehensive review of existing literature on the information technology adoption and success determinants in SMEs by comparing Korean domestic and aborad studies. The results show that domestic studies tend to be more quantitative research than the research aborad. Technology-Organization-Environment framework has been the most frequently deployed framework, and CEO support and user satisfaction factors are most frequently used in the adoption and success factors. With these findings we hope the future study should adopt more various theories and qualitative research methodologies.

The concept of fashion granfluencer as cultural intermediaries and their fashion style characteristics were defined and examined. The literature on cultural intermediaries, social media, and seniors in the context of fashion was reviewed. Primarily, three characteristics of cultural intermediaries-interactive communication, nonconformist attitude, and aesthetic disposition-were identified and used as analytical variables in this study. Through netnography, 1,452 Instagram posts from the renowned fashion granfluencer Iris Apfel (@iris.apfel) were examined. This study presented Iris as a fashion granfluencer and a senior professional, who uses fashion to express herself and define her identity. As a cultural mediator, she contributes to revitalizing the cultural economy and creating cultural products. Iris Apfel' fashion and style embody her digital persona. Her engagement in fashion activities-producing fashion content or attending fashion events-mediates the relationship between fashion producers and fashion consumers, thereby promoting the aesthetic value of fashion.

  • Recently economic crisis has brought world economic instability. Each country in order to stabilize the economy, fiscal rules are introduced or reinforced. Fiscal Policy in a country plays an important role in determining the economic situation in the present and future. Existing fiscal rules tend to place a rigid limit not only on the deficit ratio and thus on the scope for fiscal stabilization, but also on the extent to which fiscal policy can be used for structural purposes. But the fiscal rules are operated in many ways and adopted in various forms, with different binding of each other, according to their own fiscal situations, and political circumstances. This study shows several important factors for successful National fiscal system and continuous fiscal soundness and development.

  • A construction project is very costly and takes a long time to make investment and yield profit. For this reason, financial institutions are cautious about financing construction projects. Meanwhile, a construction company needs financing from financial institutions to cover a large expense of a construction project. Thus, there is likely to be a close correlation between financing conditions and business operation of a construction company. To examine the relationship, variables were identified that are related to insolvency of a construction company and changes in financing conditions. The analysis period is between the second quarter of 2001 and the fourth quarter of 2010. Data was retrieved from TS2000 established by Korea Listed Companies Association (KLCA), Statistics Office, and Construction Economy Research Institute of Korea (CERIK). In terms of methodology, VECM (Vector Error Correction Model) was used to analyze dynamic relationship between changes in financing conditions and insolvency of a construction company based on the identified variables. The hypothesis was that changes in financing conditions would significantly affect business of a construction company, but, the analysis did not find a close relation between the two factors. However, it was shown that poor business of a construction company affects financing conditions adversely.

  • It goes without saying that the technology innovation plays an important role in the sustainable growth of the firm in the global economy. It, however, is not easy to fulfill this simple and obvious fact. Because there are a lot of barriers hindering innovation activities of firms and innovations are interrupted or don't even attempts by this barriers. So in this paper, I study barriers of firms that try to innovation and how much negative impact exist on firm's innovation performance by that. And also I try to find influence on firm's performance because of declined innovation activities. To prove this, KIS(Korean Innovation Survey) 2008, which was surveyed by STEPI(Science and Technology Policy Institute), is used to find relationships among variables; innovation barriers, innovation activities and firm's performance. In the result, I find that financial barrier influence negatively to the process innovation with small business, capable barrier influence negatively to the process innovation with large business and organizational barrier influence negatively to the process innovation with both small and large business. And, it also appear that organizational barrier has not moderating effect but process efficiency has moderating effect significantly with small business that have more positive effect.

  • Nowadays, networked computer systems play an increasingly important role in our society and its economy. They have become the targets of a wide array of malicious attacks that invariably turn into actual intrusions. This is the reason computer security has become an essential concern for network administrators. Recently, a number of Detection/Prevention System schemes have been proposed based on various technologies. However, the techniques, which have been applied in many systems, are useful only for the existing patterns of intrusion. Therefore, probe detection has become a major security protection technology to detection potential attacks. Probe detection needs to take into account a variety of factors ant the relationship between the various factors to reduce false negative & positive error. It is necessary to develop new technology of probe detection that can find new pattern of probe. In this paper, we propose an hybrid probe detection using Fuzzy Cognitive Map(FCM) and Self Adaptive Module(SAM) in dynamic environment such as Cloud and IoT. Also, in order to verify the proposed method, experiments about measuring detection rate in dynamic environments and possibility of countermeasure against intrusion were performed. From experimental results, decrease of false detection and the possibilities of countermeasures against intrusions were confirmed.

  • Intangible assets are the important tool which decides upon economic wealth and development of knowledge-information economy. We have to make effective use of intangible assets in order to assure surplus earnings, competitive superiority. The importance of intangible assets, especially patent right, may be properly understood only when their values are assessed adequately. It is very significant to appraise rationally patent right value from finance support, technology transaction, investment decision, M&A, legal proceedings, strategy and etc. Thus the purpose of this study is to evaluate the economic value of a patent right using DCF(Discounted-Cash Flow Method). This paper presents the basic model, related principles and standards of valuation, and then, case analysis of patent right valuation using DCF.

Online shopping discount events have boosted up the shopping markets resulting in pumping up National economy. For such reasons, Korea also has launched online shopping discount event, which is called 'Cyber hot days'. The primary purpose of this paper is to understand consumer behavior on Cyber hot days and suggest how retailers can harness those consumer behaviors and how government agency can support both retailers and consumers to boost up shopping markets. The results of empirical test shows that economic value, emotional value, and product variety were found to be significantly related to consumers' attitude on Cyber hot days, but convenience value, social value, and product uniqueness were not. Consumers' attitude was also found to be significantly related to the repurchase intention. It implicates that price, enjoyment, and product variety are important aspects to Korean consumers when they purchase during online shopping discount event.
