Social media refers to the content, which are created by users, such as blogs, social networks, and wikis. Recently, question-answering (QA) communities, in which users share information by questions and answers, are regarded as a kind of social media. Thus, QA communities have become a huge source of information for the past decade. However, it is hard for users to search the exact question-answer that is exactly matched with their needs as the number of question-answers increases in QA communities. This paper proposes an approach for classifying a question into three categories (information, opinion, and suggestion) according to the purpose of the question for more accurate information retrieval. Specifically, our approach is based on modified Na$\ddot{i}$ve Bayes classifier which uses structural characteristics of QA documents to improve the classification accuracy. Through our experiments, we achieved about 71.2% in classification accuracy.
This paper describes a concept-based question analysis to analyze concept which is more important than keyword for the accurate answer extraction. Our idea is that we can extract correct answers from various paragraphs with different structures when we use well-defined concepts because concepts occurred in questions of same answer type are similar. That is, we will analyze the syntactic and semantic role of each word or phrase in a question in order to extract more relevant documents and more accurate answer in them. For each answer type, we define a concept frame which is composed of concepts commonly occurred in that type of questions and analyze user's question by filling a concept frame with a word or phrase. Empirical results show that our concept-based question analysis can extract more accurate answer than any other conventional approach. Also, concept-based approach has additional merits that it is language universal model, and can be combined with arbitrary conventional approaches.
The purposes of this work were to assess the cognition of the registered nurse(RN) on oral and maxillofacial emergency treatment and to compare cognition of the RN with that of the 119 emergency medical technician(EMT). 450 RNs who were working at each of secondary hospitals in Jeju province had responded to the questionnaire. Independent sample t-test and chi-square test were used to assess the state of RN on dental emergency treatment and to compare RN with EMT. The question 'education time on dentistry in formal education' that marked '0 hour' and '1-3 hours' were 73.3% and 20.0%, respectively. The question 'refresher training class on dentistry' that marked '0 hour' and '1-3 hours' were 92.9% and 6.7%, aggregately 99.6%. The results showed low score in the question 'reduction of temporo-mandibular joint(TMJ)'($1.67{\pm}0.857$), 'fixation of dislocated TMJ'($1.70{\pm}0.853$) and 'post-avulsed tooth treatment'($1.78{\pm}0.774$) by 5-point Likert scale. Likewise, the scores were $2.02{\pm}0.806$ in the question 'treatment of maxillofacial trauma', $2.76{\pm}1.061$ in the question 'emergent care of avulsed tooth', $2.70{\pm}1.095$ in the question 'treatment time of avulsed tooth' and $2.79{\pm}1.056$ in the question 'mouth guard', respectively. Compared to EMT, results of RN showed a statistically lower figure(p<0.05) in all items compared except the question 'medicine control', and the question 'doctor care in emergency room' was borderline(p=0.069). From this study, it is necessary for RN and student of nursing science to be educated on the oral and maxillofacial emergency treatment for the initial management of injuries. Authors suggest further co-study and nation-wide research with nursing care.
Objectives : To evaluate the properness and effectiveness of the question categories concerning 'sasang constitutional characteristics of mind', used in Iksan Wonkwang Oriental Medicine. Methods : We statistically analyzed data from those 1335 patients focussing on 'relative discrimination ability' to sasang constructions and 'response ratio'. Patients included in this research are only those who had been well treated in Iksan Wonkwang Oriental Medicine during the Period of three years from 2000 to 2002. The data are obtained through the electronic chart developed by Kim Jong-Yeal, and analyzed using the statistical Package SPSS. Results: In total characteristics of mind, the question category of 'timid' has high discriminating power and effectiveness to Soeum type, more in women than men, and especially with an age of 21 or more; The category of 'hasty-tempered' to Soyang type in women with all ages and men with ages 21-40; The category of 'broad-minded' to Taeum type with ages 41 or more; The category of 'timid and broad-minded' to Soyang type, and especially high to women with ages 41 or more. Question categories concerning response type in anger were estimated to have different response patterns to sasang constructions only for ages 21 or more by $X^2$2 test. The question category of 'bear and last long' has high discriminating power and effectiveness to Soeum type, more in men than women, and increasingly to ages; The category of 'impatient and disarmed quickly' to Soyang type in both women and men, especially with ages 21 or more; The category of 'impatient' to Soyang type women or with ages 21 or more. Other categories have low discriminating power or low effectiveness. Concernig expression type of one's thought, the question category of 'straightly' has high discriminating power and effectiveness to Soyang type, more in wemen than men, and especially to ages 21 or more; The category of 'tender' to Soeum type, in women or with ages 40 or less; The category of 'indirectly' to Taeum type in men or with ages 41 or more; The category of 'straightly and stuborn' to Soyang type with ages 41 or more; The category of 'indirectly and tender' to Soeum with with ages 20 or less; The category of 'not express and tender' to Soeum type with ages 41 or more; Conclusions : Question categories concerning total characteristics of mind, response type in anger and expression type of one's thought, are partially discriminating and effective to specific constitution according to sex and ages, and some categories are more discriminating and effective when they are composited. But generally, the discriminating power of Taeum constitution group and group with ages 20 or less was too low, so it is necessary to develope question categories for those groups.

In this study, pre-service chemistry teachers' questions in their teaching practices were analyzed considering the context of discourse. Five pre-service teachers participated in the study. Their questions were analyzed by considering various data including class videos, interviews, and teaching-learning materials. Their questions were classified into relevant question, affective question, dead-end question, rhetorical question, and structuring question. Each question was also classified into appropriate question and convenient question by the aspect of proper responses of students. The analyses of the results indicate the differences in the frequencies of several types of questions depending on the content of the lessons. After using convenient questions, pre-service teachers proceeded to prepared classes as they rather than prompted students' responses. The affective questions were rarely used. The dead-end questions were found to be used for promoting interaction with students. The rhetorical questions were used for various purposes such as arousing students' attention or promoting their thinking. Practical implications were discussed based on the results.

Objectives: The objective of this work was to investigate the hospital nursing care of oral and maxillofacial health in jeju province. Methods: 438 Registered nurses(RN) who were working at each of secondary hospitals in Jeju province had responded to the questionnaire. The data were analyzed via frequency analyses and one-way ANOVA to assess the state of RN on hospital nursing care of oral and maxillofacial health. Results: The class of education on density in formal density that marked '0 hour' and '1-3 hours' were 73.5% and 19.9%, respectively. The class of refresher training on density that marked '0 hours' and '1-3 hours' were 92.9% and 6.6%, aggregately 99.5%. The nursing education on appearance after tumor of maxillofacial area that marked 'formal education' and 'none' were 45.2% and 52.1%, respectively. The score of question 'function, effect and side effect of hexamedin gaggle' was $2.68{\pm}0.95$ by Likert 5-point scale. Likewise, the scores were $2.82{\pm}0.88$ on question 'management of removal denture', $2.83{\pm}0.95$ on question 'preventive dental treatment before anticancer therapy', $2.88{\pm}0.86$ on question 'function of saliva', $2.96{\pm}0.99$ on question 'oral management of tube feeding patient', $3.13{\pm}1.00$ on question 'bacterial endocarditis from oral microflora', $3.36{\pm}0.89$ on question 'dysphagia' and $3.62{\pm}1.03$ on question 'aspiration pneumonia'. RN replied that 'lack of knowledge' and 'delay of cooperation' formed 53.7% and 33.3% respectively, on question 'problem in dental consultation other diseased patient'. Conclusions: From this study, it is necessary for RN and student of nursing science to be educated on the oral and maxillofacial nursing. Authors suggest further co-study and nation-wide research.

This study aimed to investigate and compare the perception of personal protective equipments and instrument sterilization of students who are in attendance at colleges and universities and which have bedside training as a regular subject in their curriculum for third-year students. 'Completely True' is the highest response to the question about the importance of wearing gloves, mask and medical gown from all groups. 'Completely True' is the highest response to the question about the necessity for replacement of gloves from all groups. 'Moderate True' is the highest response to the question about the necessity for replacement of mask from the group without practical training and 'Completely True' is the highest response to the question about the importance of hair cleanliness from all groups regardless of practical training experience. For the question about the perception of instrument disinfection and sterilization, the group with inside and outside practical training showed the highest perception level. Consequently, the right education for prevention of infection by setting inclusive guidelines to enhance the level of perception and practice seems continuously necessary.
The purpose of this study was to analyze teachers' questions in the actual general Korean classroom for academic purposes and identify types of questions. The results of the question analysis by type identified 713 teacher's questions in total: echoic questions made up 41% while epistemic questions were 19.3% and expended question turned out to make up 39.7%. 'Comprehension check questions' were 29%, which was a major part in the echoic question. 'Referential questions' were a major part in the epistemic question. Also, the research discovered that 'knowledge integration' questions held the largest majority in expended questions. Since the teacher-led lecture was often conducted in the problem-presentation stage, the percentage of Echoic question was high; and moreover, the problem-solving stage promoted to come up with more improved solutions of the problem. In the outcome and presentation stage, it was discovered that the questions aimed to check understanding of content in the subject and expand thoughts. Therefore, it is necessary to develop strategies for teacher's questions by phase and further conduct research on the interaction between learners and teacher's questions in the future.
The third-person perception phenomenon can consistently be found in opinion poll news, but it remains unknown what determines the degree of the third-person perception (TPP) about specific election poll news. We investigated how respondents' preferred candidate's status in the poll affects the perceived impact of polling news on both themselves (PMI1) and on others (PMI3) as well as TPP (PMI3 - PMI1). We also examined the effect of subjective political knowledge and the perceived level of political knowledge of others on TPP. An online experiment was conducted in the context of a gubernatorial election in South Korea, in which the leading candidate in the poll and the question order (self-question first vs. other-question first) were manipulated. The results indicated that PMI1 and PMI3 were greater when the respondent's preferred candidate was leading in the poll. TPP did not differ depending on subjective knowledge, but it was greater when the others were non-experts (vs. experts). Lastly, question order was found to be a method factor that affected both PMI1 and PMI3. The theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

When confronted with a query, question answering systems endeavor to extract the most exact answers possible by determining the answer type that fits with the key terms used in the query. However, the efficacy of such systems is limited by the fact that the terms used in a query may be in a syntactic form different to that of the same words in a document. In this paper, we present an efficient semantic query expansion methodology based on query patterns in a question category concept list comprised of terms that are semantically close to terms used in a query. The proposed system first constructs a concept list for each question type and then builds the concept list for each question category using a learning algorithm. The results of the present experiments suggest the promise of the proposed method.
