The Developmental Process of Blur Circle along to the Variation of a Refractive Power for Hyperopia (원시에서 교정굴절력변화에 따른 착란원 크기)

  • A variable process of blur circle is calculated for a artificial hyperopia. The calculation is used to the value of Gullstrand's theoretical eye and a method of geometrical optics. The theoretical eye simplified a entrance pupil and the retina. Ophthalmic lens and eye changed a equivalent lens. Refractive power of a equivalent lens is converted to focal length within theoretical eye, and this is calculated about relation of a blur circle on the retina and ophthalmic lens.

  • Purpose: We have studied the problems associated with increased number of ophthalmic optics students and its effects on the supply and demand of optician. Methods: We collected data from Education Statistics, a white paper of Minister for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs, academyinfo web site and University (College) web site. Results: We forecasted an estimate for supply and demand of optician using the entrance number of ophthalmic optics. Conclusions: The numbers of produced optician are in excessive supply. The excessive supply of optician can contribute towards worsening working conditions and lower job satisfaction of an optician. Therefore this can result infrequent turn over of jobs within the same field and migration into the different field of areas. To solve these problems, we will need to act with the manpower policy of government by gathering the voices of the related optician agencies. Then expansion of job domain, improvement of quality level, the improvement of the working conditions for optician can be accomplished by the unification of university system and reduction of entrance numbers for department of ophthalmic optics.

  • Compared visual acuity that is measured in a artificial myopia with the numerical calculation. Calculation included image's height as well as blur circle that is formed to retina. The blur circle calculated in geometrical optics model, and height of retinal image calculated by refractive power and visual acuity that is measured in a artificial myopia. Define this result as "blur ratio" about blur circle and height of retinal image, and investigated blur ratio relationship about visual acuity in a artificial myopia.

  • As the results of phoria measurement of Korean adults for 106 males and 55 females, the elevens (6.8%) are orthophoria, the nineties (55.9%) are esophoria and the fifty fives (34.2%) are exophoria respectively. Also the thirty threes (20.4%) are right hyperphoria against the left eye and the thirty eights (23.6%) are left hyperphoria against the right eye. Horizontal phoria is below $10{\Delta}$ mostly and vertical phoria is below $5{\Delta}$.

  • Visible light spectrum emitted from $H_2$ plasma in the parallel plate reactor using a commercial electric power are investigated by optical emission spectroscopy. Intensity of visible light is measured as a function of $H_2$ pressure and discharging power, and the intensity is compared with plasma density measured with the probe. As a result, the intensity is affected by plasma density and the plasma density is controlled the $H_2$ pressure and the discharging power.

  • According to Korean pharmaceutic law, spectacles is a kind of medical device or instrument that is composed of a front and two temples with a pair of lenses. If the spectacle is not worn, it is a kind of optical device, but if it were worn, it will makes a new optical system to correct ametropia.   • In this study, by using the eye model of NAVARRO, KOOIJMAN, MAHKICHOONG, the properties of optical system are reserched in a finite ray tracing method, when ametropia is corrected by glasses or contact lens, this study is useful as a reference. Also, when Auto-refractometer for refraction test and Keratomeler are designed, these eye models can be used.

  • In this experiments, we introduce the simple method measuring the refractive index and it measured for severial materials compare with real values. Refractive index of distillation water, ethyl alcohol and acryl were $1.32{\pm}0.006$, $0.36{\pm}0.01$ and $0.48{\pm}0.005$, respectively.
