In order to strengthen objectivity and availability of oriental herb medicine, the standard formula for herbs has been attempted to set up by documentary testing original herbs which were recorded in authorized document. The object herb medicines are CARYOPHYLLI FLOS. After this study, additional experimental verification is required as a matter of fact. As comparison materials, this thesis will be utilized. Specially the internal and external morphological standard in this study is expected to supply the search for several physiochemical reaction, biological reaction, determination of indicator material and identification of gene with basic sources in the future.

We studied 32 patents, who had visited Kyung Hee downtown oriental hospital with nasal obstruction. They has been observed their nasal cavity through anterior rhinoscopy. We had paten't middle and inferior turbinte bleeding by acupuncture. This symptom had been disappeared after this treatment. The result were as follows. 1. Sex and age distribution: The males were 18($56.2\%) and Female were 14($43.8\%$). The most common occurrence was found between 1-5 years old. 2. The most common duration of disease was between 2-6 months. 3. In decreasing order, the common complication & past history of otolaryngologic or allergic disease were allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, chronic sinusitis, adenoid or tonsil hypertrophy, otitis media with effusion and asthma. 4. In descending order, distribution of symptoms were rhinorrhea, sneezing, dry sensation, sputum, frontal headach, postnasal drip and cough. 5. The improvement rate in symptom were $31.3\%\;excellent\;and\;53.1\%$ good.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to search liquid that mixing with powder drug on acnes disease. Conclusions : Out of acne patients who visited Oriental Medicine Hospital of Han-Seo University during December 2002 - February 2003, four female and five male were treated over four weeks. The average age were 21.44 years old. Before treatment, acne patients were sparsely with papules at the forehead, cheeks, lower jaw. After treatment during four weeks, seven acne patients change for the better, 77.8$\%$(mild improved 55.5$\%$, improved 11.1$\%$, much improved 11.1$\%$)

Nummular eczema is well-shaped, coin-like lesion. Usually it is surrounded by the papules and vesicles, and is likely to be the impetigo. It's said that nummular eczema is combined with atopic dermititis, contact dermatitis, bacterial infection and so on. Recently, we experienced a nummular eczema with impetigo and that was successfully treated by the herb-medication and the ceramic resonance therapy. The medications taken by the patient were yunwhasagnatang and gamisopungsan which is used to treat allergic disease and make immune system be strong. The former effects the liver to be cool down and healthy and it also has anti-imflamatory reactions like the corticosteroid hormone. Ceramic resonance therapy utilises irradiation within the frequency range of the radiation emitted by the human body. So we report this case with a brief review of the oriental medical and medical literatures.

Vertigo is a subtype of dizziness in which there is an illusion of movement, most commonly rotation. Acute peripheral vestibulopathy is one of the most common clinical neurologic syndromes at my age with the acute onset of vertigo, nausea, and vomiting lasting for several days and not associated with auditory or neurologic symptoms. Most affected patients gradually improve over one to two weaks, but some develop recurrent episode. We treated two patients suffered from vertigo, nausea & vomiting, nystagmus, headache with herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping-treatment. After treatment we observed the improvement. Based on this study, it is considered that oriental medical treatment can be applied to the management of vestibular neuronitis.

Eczema herpeticum is a widespread Herpes simplex virus(HSV) infection, which usually develops in patients with atopic dermatitis, because prutitis in patients with atopic dermatits leads them to scratch their bodies, it cause the dissemination of Herpes simplex virus. This study carried out to observe the progress of Eczema herpeticum and find effective remedy. The pastient was taken Herb-medicine with acupunture, cupping theraphy, aroma theraphy, and etc. After the treatment the grade of VAS was decressed and clinical symptoms were gradually disappeared. Those results suggest that herbal treatment was effective to Eczema herpeticum.

Paranasal sinusitis is a common disease in the otorhinolaryngology area. It is the change of inflammation at the mucous membrane which surrounds paranasal sinus. Chronic paranasal sinusitis is a chronic inflammation disease with purulent, mucous rhinorrhea, postnasal drip and cough. The attacked period continues above three months and it repeats exacerbation and remission. We diagnosed and treated an outpatient who complains postnasal drip of chronic paranasal drip of chronic paranasal sinusitis based on the Oriental medical theories and had good result.

Introduction : There are three major forms of Epidermolysis Bullosa(EB) - EB Simplex(EBS), Junctional EB(JEB) and Dystrophic EB(DEB). DEB is divided into two groups that Dominant DEB(DDEB) and Recessive DEB(RDEB). RDEB has two types that Hallopeau-Siemens(generalized type) and mitis(localized type). Objects : This study was carried out to observe the progress of Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa-mitis(RDEB-mitis) disease and find effective remedy. Methods: Both diagnosis and treatment were divided into three groups voluntarily. l. diagnosis - dermatic symptoms, mucosal symptoms, general symptoms 2. treatment - herbal medications, moxibustion, medicines used extemally(外用藥) Results : After treating 9 months, the condition of the patient grew better and the grades of severity of ROEB-mitis disease were lower at each diagnosis item. Conclusions : As above results, oriental medical treatments were very effective for this disease. But more case studies are necessary for establishing more effective diagnosis and treatment methods.

Objective : This study was designed to evaluate the effects of oriental medicine therapy on Vocal cord paralysis with Ramsay Hunt syn. Methods & Result : The clinical data was analyzed on a patient with Vocal cord paralysis with Ramsay Hunt syn. whose main symptoms were right facial palsy, auricle pain, dysphagia and hoarseness. The patient was treated by the acupucture and Herb-medicine.. As the result, symptoms are improved. Conclusion : This result suggest that the acupucture and Herb-medicine. was effective treatment of Vocal cord paralysis. So futher research is needed continuously.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to know the clinical effects of hydrotherapy based Ultrasonic spa using SoPung-Tang on pulse wave velocity in patients with sequelae of CVA. Methods : PWV(Pulse wave velocity), Bio Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Pressure were investigated in 20 patients(Experimental group 13, Control group 7) who have been in Semyung Oriental medicine hospital from December 2005 to February 2006. Results : 1. In experimental group, Rt PWV diminished 4.8%, Lt PWV 5.1%. 2. In control group, Rt PWV diminished 3.3%, Lt PWV 1.8%. Conclusion : Hydrotherapy based Ultrasonic spa using SoPung-Tang showed useful effects in patients with sequelae of CVA.
