Objective : Processing of medicinals are one of the most important part in medicinal treatment. However, in text books, there are disagreements and several terms with same meanings. Method : We tried to compare the processing of medicinals in text book, Bonchohak especially in exterior-releasing medicinal and heat-clearing medicinal. Results : The terms of processing of medicinals in introductions of text book, Bonchohak are different from those in an itemized discussion of exterior-releasing medicinal and heat-clearing medicinal. Conclusion : The terms of processing of medicinals in text book, Bonchohak should be reorganized and improved to make be clear and sure as a text book.

This study developed e-book content in order to use e-books as a tool to provide more efficient classes to learners who are familiar with smart devices and online spaces. E-book contents were produced using Sigil-0.9.10. The development process is as follows. Before e-book development, it is necessary to prepare manuscript files, image files to be inserted, fonts to be used, and e-book covers. After inserting the book cover images, it is necessary to register the table of contents using the title tag and register the free fonts. Also, a style must be created for text or images used in the main text connected to a file containing the entire text. Then, after separating the entire text file into separate files according to each chapter, the text is completed in turn. E-books were produced focusing on hyperlink functions so that educational content and various example images could be accessed. Currently, there is a lack of research on e-books as textbooks in universities within the fashion design major. In the future, if e-book contents are developed according to the characteristics of courses and the level of learners, they can be used as effective teaching tools.

Development of digital media and interest in education bring big progress at digital device of education globally. UK which is advanced country of education is using digital education devices such as digital chalkboards, digital desks etc. and Japan plan digital text book's through the state. At 2011, Korea which is advanced country of internet adopted digital text book 2007 with mathematics, through science and English digital text book through the state. Korea's digital textbook is in a transition period, that needs case-study of advanced country of education for setting design guide and educational effect to Digital text book plan. All researches are based on LG europe design center at London, UK and target countries are UK and Sweden which is advanced country of education and a welfare state. Analysis by using FGI, KJ, survey of questionnaire, heuristic method, concentration observation. Through analytical researches prefer using digital text book with paper text book to using solo that can offer each advantage to user and teacher. Especially Interactive GUI design of digital text book to easy to access for teacher whom not friendly with digital device. When plan Digital text book content and design needs methodical design guide for target who students and teachers an in-depth study of the appraisal and method. The results of the research are introduce the design plan as a basic research and giving useful design plan to make digital text book and digital educational media in industrial aspect.

The content curation service through big data analysis is receiving great attention in various content fields, such as film, game, music, and book. This service recommends personalized contents to the corresponding user based on user's preferences. The existing book curation systems recommended books to users by using bibliographic citation, user profile or user log data. However, these systems are difficult to recommend books related to character names or spatio-temporal information in text contents. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a personalized book curation system based on integrated mining of a book. The proposed system consists of mining system, recommendation system, and visualization system. The mining system analyzes book text, user information or profile, and SNS data. The recommendation system recommends personalized books for users based on the analysed data in the mining system. This system can recommend related books using based on book keywords even if there is no user information like new customer. The visualization system visualizes book bibliographic information, mining data such as keyword, characters, character relations, and book recommendation results. In addition, this paper also includes the design and implementation of the proposed mining and recommendation module in the system. The proposed system is expected to broaden users' selection of books and encourage balanced consumption of book contents.

This study measured various types of joint book reading behaviors of parents of preschool children using two different text genres. Participants were the parents of 35 preschool children 4 years of age. Parent-child dyads were videotaped during periods of joint book reading using two different types of text(informational and narrative). Results indicated differences in maternal behavior between the two types of texts. The informational book elicited a higher amount of print concept behaviors and more content behavior while reading the narrative book. Among content-related behaviors parents used more labeling during the informational genre. On the other hand, parents' use of description and judgment were significantly higher in the narrative genre compared with the informational genre.

In this paper, we present a technique to extract the title areas from book cover images. A typical book cover image may contain text, pictures, diagrams as well as complex and irregular background. In addition, the high variability of character features such as thickness, font, position, background and tilt of the text also makes the text extraction task more complicated. Therefore, we propose a two steps efficient method that uses Histogram of Oriented Gradients and color information to find the title areas. Firstly, text localization is carried out to find the title candidates. Finally, refinement process is performed to find the sufficient components of title areas. To obtain the best result, we also use other constraints about the size, ratio between the length and width of the title. We achieve encouraging results of extracted title regions from book cover images which prove the advantages and efficiency of the proposed method.

The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers’ recognition in Food/Nutrition, Textile/Clothing part in Home Economics Text Book of Middle School and to provide the basic data for the improvement of its curriculum. 147 Home Economics teachers in Taegu city and Kyungsangbukdo area responded to the questionnaire. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Most of Home Economics teachers have graduated Dept. of Home Economics Education and have ever taken teacher training. And even those who ever taken teacher training are not satisfied with training curriculum contents. Therefore, the result of this study shows that teacher training curriculum contents should be improved so as to be helpful for the actual teaching and learning. 2. In terms of the suitability of contents of food & nutrition and contents of textiles & clothing to the student’s learning development levels, the degree of suitability is in the order of nutrition & health, nutrition in adolescence, food selection, kinds and functions of nutrients in food & nutrition curriculum, and in the order of suitable clothing, mixture rate of fabrics, purchase of clothing, clothing in adolescence, clothing selection. The contents of making processed foods and usage of sewing machine of the existing text book have turned out not to be appropriate. 3. Most teachers suggest that dietary guideline for health, misconception about food & nutrition selection of ready-made suit suitable clothing for situation & character as well as the contents of the existing text book should be included in the new text book.

The purpose of this study is to explore physical factor of digital text structure for designing e-Book interface and to develop prototype of e-Book interface by applied these factors. To address this goal, explore factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were employed, 237 university students were the participated in this study. According to a result, 29 items for physical feature of digital text structure were developed, 9 factors of digital text structure were also extracted; volume, depth, density, space, layout, format, signal, size, and length. Besides, to identify structure of pre-defined 9 factors, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. As a result of CFA, the factor structure was supported by all of model fit indices.

Text visualization is one of sectors in data visualization. This study is on methods to visually represent text's contents, structure, and form aspects based on various analytic techniques about wide range of text data. In this study -as a text visualization study-, 1) a method to find out the characteristics of a book's genre using words in the text of the book was looked into, 2) elements of visualization of a book's genre based on verification through an experiment were drew, and 3) the ways to intuitionally and efficiently visualize this were explained. According to visualization suggested by this study, first, actual genre of a book can be understood based on words used in the book. Second, with which genre is closed to the book can be found out with one glance through images of visualization. Moreover, the characteristics of complicated genres included in a book can be understood. Furthermore, the level of closeness (similarity) of a genre -which is found to be a representative genre using the number of dots, curvature of a curve, and brightness in the image- can be assumed. Finally, the outcome of this study can be used for a variety of fields including book customizing service such as a book recommendation system that provides images of personal preference books or genres through application of books favored by individual customers.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of higher grades in elementary the science process skill, academic achievement and teaching learining perception by Digital Text-book in elementary science lesson. To verify research problem, the subject of this study were sixth-grade students selected from two classes of an elementary school located in Ulsan : the experimental group is composed of thirty-one students who were participated in Digital Text-book, and the other is composed of thirty students(comparison group) who were participated in teacher map based learning situation. During eight weeks, Digital Text-book instruction was executed in th experimental group while the teacher map based instruction in controled group Post-test showed following results: First, the experimental group showed a significant improvement in the science process skill compared the comparison group. Second, the experimental group did not showed a significant improvement in the Acdemic Achievement compared th the control group. Third, the experimental group showed a significant improvement in the teaching learning perception compared the comparison group. In conclusion, Digital text-book model was more effective than the teacher map based teaching model on science process skill and teaching-learning perception. However, since the study has a limit on an objet of the study and the applied curriculum, the additional studies need to be conducted with an extended comparative group and curriculum.
