  • Pseudorandom numbers are useful in cryptographic operations for using as nonce, initial vector, secret key, etc. Security of the cryptosystem relies on the secret key parameters, so a good pseudorandom number is needed. In this paper, we have proposed a new approach for generation of pseudorandom number. This method uses the three dimensional combinational puzzle Rubik Cube for generation of random numbers. The number of possible combinations of the cube approximates to 43 quintillion. The large possible combination of the cube increases the complexity of brute force attack on the generator. The generator uses cryptographic hash function. Chaotic map is being employed for increasing random behavior. The pseudorandom sequence generated can be used for cryptographic applications. The generated sequences are tested for randomness using NIST Statistical Test Suite and other testing methods. The result of the tests and analysis proves that the generated sequences are random.

  • This paper intends to implement a software that controls TurtleBot 2 remotely. The moving of the robot TurtleBot 2 can be controlled using command control based on Windows 10 IoT core instead of the Robot Operating System (ROS). The implemented software allows the user to move remotely TurtleBot 2 in any specified direction and perform the monitoring such as reading feedback data from the robot. Through TCP/IP and serial communication technology, TurtleBot 2 can successfully receive command control and send feedback to the user. Using C# programming language, two Universal Windows Platform apps (client app and server app) have been implemented to allow communication between the user and TurtleBot 2. The result of this implementation has been verified and tested in an indoor platform.

  • Based on the convolutional neural network (CNN), a novel technique is investigated for lost gamma source detection in a room. The CNN is trained with the result of a GEANT4 simulation containing a gamma source inside a meshed room. The dataset for the training process is the deposited energy in the meshes of different n-step paths. The neural network is optimized with parameters such as the number of input data and path length. Based on the proposed method, the place of the gamma source can be recognized with reasonable accuracy without human intervention. The results show that only by 5 measurements of the energy deposited in a 5-step path, (5 sequential points 50 cm apart within 1600 meshes), the gamma source location can be estimated with 94% accuracy. Also, the method is tested for the room geometry containing the interior walls. The results show 90% accuracy with the energy deposition measurement in the meshes of a 5-step path.

  • The need for precise location data is growing across numerous markets, and so is the number of affordable high-precision GPS receivers. In this paper, we validated the performance of RTAP2U, a low-cost high-precision RTK receiver that was recently released. Two positioning modes were tested: static and driving. The static test conducted Zero-Baseline Single-RTK and Network-RTK survey for 57 hours and 51 hours, respectively. For the driving test, Network-RTK survey was conducted using VRS services provided by NGII based on Trimble PIVOT and Geo++ GNSMART. The static test showed about 1 cm horizontal and vertical accuracies, which is very stable considering the test duration longer than 50 hours. The integer ambiguity FIX rate marked a solid 100%. The driving test result also reached a 100% FIX rate. Horizontal and vertical accuracies were better than 2 cm and 3 cm, respectively. Researchers can refer to this paper when considering affordable high-precision GPS receivers as an option.

  • To indentify inhibitors of melanogenesis. we compared the effect of some natural products on mushroom tyrosinase. human melanocytic tyrosinase activity and melanin content. The cytotoxicity of the component were also tested on cultured mouse melanoma cells, Each extract significantly inhibited tyrosinase activity and melanin synthesis in vitro and B 16 melanoma cell lines. In B 16 cell lines, watermelon's inner shell extract inhibited tyrosinase activity as strong as kojic acid at 150${\um}g$/${\mu}\ell$ concentration. And morning glory'seed extract inhibited melanin synthesis more than kojic acid at 150${\um}g$/${\mu}\ell$ concentration. Each extract were strong inhibitors of tyrosinase activity and total melanin synthesis in B 16 mouse melanoma cell lines at less than 100${\um}g$/${\mu}\ell$ concetration. These result show that extract of watermelon's inner shell. lettuce. morning glory's seed and licorice root could be developed as skin whitening component of cosmetics.

  • Recently, automobile industries have developed ADAS, smart cars, connected cars, automated driving systems, which use a variety of sensor systems - ultrasonics, cameras, lidars and radars - and communication systems. It is necessary to examine the electromagnetic immunity of vehicles equipped with the sensor systems due to the fact that the normal operation of those systems is very important to the safety of the vehicles. The electromagnetic immunity tests are carried out in an electromagnetic semi anechoic chamber, which is cut off from the outside. It is difficult to create test environments in which the camera sensor systems of vehicles work properly in the test chamber. In this study, test jigs were designed and tested and as a result they are shown to be effective to create test environments for electromagnetic immunity tests of vehicles equipped with camera sensors. We also proposed additional safety standards for immunity tests of vehicles with camera systems that currently do not exist.

  • In this paper, we apply data mining techniques and machine learning algorithms using R software, which is used to predict, here we applied a regression model to test some factor on the dataset for which we assumed that it effects student performance. Model was built on an existing dataset which contains many factors and the final grades. The factors tested are the attention to higher education, absences, study time, parent's education level, parent's jobs, and the number of failures in the past. The result shows that only study time and absences can affect the students' performance. Prediction of student academic performance helps instructors develop a good understanding of how well or how poorly the students in their classes will perform, so instructors can take proactive measures to improve student learning. This paper also focuses on how the prediction algorithm can be used to identify the most important attributes in a student's data.

  • Since aluminum alloys experience both tensile and compression deformation modes during forming process, it is important to understand the role of deformation mode on the hot formability of metallic alloys. In the present work, the hot formability of Al7050 alloy was investigated by conducting both tensile and Gleeble tests at various temperatures and strain rates. Processing maps representing low efficiency regions were observed at low temperature and high strain rate in both tensile and compressive deformation modes while the maximum efficiency regions depended on different deformation modes. Moreover, samples tested at stable processing conditions presented a smaller pore fraction than those at instable conditions that resulted in crack initiation during plastic deformation. This result shows that different deformation modes during plastic forming can affect formability changes of metallic alloys. Understanding of tension-compression behaviors will help us solve this problem.

  • Due to the rigid nature of the silicon carbide fiber(SiC), fiber damage occurs from the friction during the carding process. This damage not only lowers the spun yarn yield, but also lowers the heat resistance of the spun yarn, so that ultra-high heat resistant yarn cannot be manufactured. Therefore, in the carding process where the most friction between fiber and machine(wire, etc.) occurs, some factors were modified and tested, and as a result of measuring the change in physical properties, fiber damage decreased due to the wire angle or wire density, resulting in improved yield. The test method used to measure the yield of SiC fiber was the carbonization method, and the content of SiC fibers was calculated using the remaining amount after carbonization. Carbonization test was performed at air condition, 700℃, and for 2 hours. Analysis by SEM-EDX showed that the carbide was consistent with the composition of the SiC fiber.
