열차 차상신호 인터페이스 검사 시스템 개발 (Development of Interface Inspection System for On-board Signal Equipment)

  • 차내 연산 열차제어시스템은 검수고에 지상신호장치가 설치되지 않은 경우 본선 및 시험선으로 출고하였을 때에만 점검이 가능하여 업무의 효율성 저하 및 안전운행에 위해요인으로 작용한다. 열차의 운행 전 또는 운행 후 안전운행 확보를 위한 측면에서 차상 지상신호 설비 간 인터페이스 동작시험이 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 지상에서 차상시스템으로 전송되는 가상의 열차 운행정보에 따른 열차 차상신호 장치의 동작상태 확인과 차상에서 지상시스템으로 전송되는 열차 상태정보에 대한 실시간 자동 분석을 기반으로 한 열차 차상신호 인터페이스 검사시스템을 제안하여 대전도시철도 판암기지에 구축, 차상 지상신호 간 인터페이스시험 알고리즘을 검증하였다. 이에 따라 차상 열차제어시스템 점검을 위해 약 30분간의 시험선 운행이 불필요하여 업무의 효율성을 크게 향상시켰다.

비행시험 위해요인 식별 연구 (Flight Test Hazard Identification)

  • 항공기 개발 및 인증 등을 위한 비행시험은 타 항공우주산업 분야 보다 높은 항공 사고 발생 리스크를 가지고 있다. 따라서 안전관리시스템 중 리스크 관리를 위해 필요한 위해요인 식별은 비행시험 중 유사한 항공 사고를 예방할 수 있는 매우 중요한 요소이다. 그러나 국제적으로 발행되는 사고 통계자료는 통상적으로 상업 운송용 항공기에 국한된 것으로 비행시험의 특성을 반영하지 못하고 있으며, 국내 여건 또한 비행시험 중 위해요인을 식별할 수 있는 각종 데이터베이스가 구축되어 있지 않거나 가용하지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 항공기의 개발 및 인증을 위한 비행시험 특성을 알아보고, 리스크 관리에 필요한 국제기구 및 항공선진국 등에서 구축한 항공 사고 통계 및 예방 자료 등을 기초로 항공 사고의 주요 원인을 추적해 보았다. 미국교통안전위원회가 보유하고 있는 항공 사고/준사고 데이터베이스 중 비행시험 시 발생한 총 312건의 최종 보고서가 조사되었으며, 약 200여개의 비행시험 위해 요인이 식별되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 국가종합 비행성능시험장의 안전관리시스템 구축을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 예정이다.

철도신호 소프트웨어 테스팅을 위한 MSC 기반 테스트케이스 생성 모듈 (MSC-based Test-case Generation Module for Railway Signaling Software Testing)

  • Most of the existing studies on functional safety testing for the railway signaling system software have focused on verifying the functional safety through the monitoring of internal memory embedded railway signaling system. However, the railway signaling system is one of the typical embedded control system in the railway sector, and the embedded software has a characteristic of generating an appropriate outputs through the combination of internal processing in consideration of the current internal status and external input. Therefore, the test approach of using the interface communication channel can be effective way for the functional testing for railway signaling system software in consideration of these characteristic. Since a communication interface specification of the railway signal system has a the properties of the sequence input and output signals, test-case for software testing is the most effective methodology by MSC (Message Sequence Chart) language, one of the graphic language. The MSC-based test-case generating methodology for signaling system software was proposed in this paper.

  • This study was carried out to develop a system and methodology to simulate the engine load variation occuring during agricultural field operations for a laboratory engine test. The system consisted of an electric dynamometer, an Apple II microcomputer, and a data acquisition and control system. Several pieces of instruments were utilized to measure various engine performance data. Both engine torque and engine speed were fully controlled by a computer program. The dynamic characteristics of the system were analyzed through a series of tests and the limitations on the load simulation test were presented. The results of the study are summarized as follows: 1. Engine speed and toque were controlled by a computer program. The use of a stepping motor and reduction gears enabled engine speed be controlled within 1 rpm. 2. The natural frequency of the dynamometer-engine system was found to be around 5 Hz, at which the load simulation would be impossible because of resonance. 3. For the harmonic inputs with the frequencies above the natural frequency, the signal attenuated too much and therefore the load simulation was impossible. 4. The step response of the system showed an overshoot of 24.5 percent and the settling time for 5 percent criterion was around 3 seconds. 5. When actual field test data are utilized for load simulation, a low-pass filter should be included to attenuate the frequency components around and above the natural frequency.

Investigations on a vertical isolation system with quasi-zero stiffness property

  • This paper presents a series of experimental and numerical investigations on a vertical isolation system with quasi-zero stiffness (QZS) property. The isolation system comprises a linear helical spring and disk spring. The disk spring is designed to provide variable stiffness to the system. Orthogonal static tests with different design parameters are conducted to verify the mathematical and mechanical models of the isolation system. The deviations between theoretical and test results influenced by the design parameters are summarized. Then, the dynamic tests for the systems with different under-load degrees are performed, including the fast sweeping tests, harmonic excitation tests, and half-sine impact tests. The displacement transmissibility, vibration reduction rate, and free vibration response are calculated. Based on the test results, the variation of the transmission rule is evaluated and the damping magnitudes and types are identified. In addition, the relevant numerical time history responses are calculated considering the nonlinear behavior of the system. The results indicate that the QZS isolation system has a satisfactory isolation effect, while a higher damping level can potentially promote the isolation performance in the low-frequency range. It is also proved that the numerical calculation method accurately predicts the transmission character of the isolation system.

  • The aim of this research was performance of Web-based real time DGPS using MS visual basic 6.0 Active X control. This system supported the navigation of rover by transmitting the DGPS correction information of base station via internet and monitored the moving of rover by displaying the corrected results received from rover as well as permitting Web users monitoring for rover. The Web-based DGPS server and the client system using MS visual basic 6.0 Active X control for DGPS displayed on Web-browser with the pre analysis was constructed and the system loading test via Web-browser was performed after debugging this system through the static GPS test and publishing it on Web. Also, the wireless internet DGPS test on Web by changing the distance between a base station and a rover was carried out. As the result of the test, the real time DGPS could be performed by transmitting the correction message which calculated from the server system to the client system continually. The rover could be managed by displaying the location information which received from the client system. Other users also could monitor the rover by connecting with this system via internet in real time.

  • For a long time work or study, pendent task lighting system prepared with phosphor luminescent film LED was developed for eye protection and working efficiency improvement. Developed lighting system was used together with pendent and ambient lighting. Such as, we made comfortable lighting environment system. Evaluation for developed lighting system, that had proceeded to Mock-up test and subjective evaluation. Also It had proceeded that lighting environment analyzed and compatibility valuation of installation. In subjective evaluation, the students have expressed themselves satisfied to phosphor luminescent film LED lighting system. In Mock-up test, It is not problem to intensity of illumination, luminance and color temperature. Therefore, developed LED lighting system was installed at the Daegu apartment. It is having a P.O.E study progress to phosphor luminescent film LED lighting system.

외부마감재가 부착된 볼트접합 방식 패널링 시스템의 내진성능평가를 위한 진동대 실험 (Shake Table Test on Seismic Performance Evaluation of the Bolted Connection Type Paneling System with Exterior Finish Material)

  • In this study, we conducted a shake table test to verify the seismic performance of the paneling system with steel truss composed of bolt connections. The control group was set to the traditional paneling system with steel truss connected by spot welding method. Test results showed that the bolted connection type paneling system has excellent deformation capacity without cracking or brittle fracture of the steel truss connection parts compared to the welding type paneling system. Furthermore, in the bolted connection type, slight damage occurred at the time of occurrence of the same story drift angle as compared with the existing method, it is considered that it has excellent seismic performance. In compliance with the performance-based design recommended for the current code (ASCE 41-13) on non-structural components, it is judged that in the case of the bolted connection type paneling system, it can be applied to all risk category structures without restriction. However, in the case of traditional paneling system with spot welding method, it is considered that it can be applied limitedly.

넓은 대역 광원을 이용한 광 가입자 선로 운용보전 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the operation and Maintenance system for optical subscriber loops using a broadband light source)

  • This paper presents a noble operation and maintenance system for the optical subscriber loops and its feasibility through several experiments. In this system, a broadband CW (Continuous Wave) light source I used as monitoring of testing signals. and a FGF(Fiber Grating Filter) of which reflective wavelength is independent, is inserted somewhere in each subscriber loop for the reflection of monitoring of testing signals. The propose of the system is quick decision. whether the loop is just fault or not. rather than detailed information of loop state. At present, most of operation and maintenance system for the optical subscriber loops adopts OTDR(optical time domain reflectometer) for testing function. the OTDR is useful for detailed test, but not adequate for simple test because of long testing time . And it is difficult to test PON network by using general OTDR that has a single-wavelength light source. Compared to using OTDR, the proposed system can afford to shorten testing time and to test PON network. Moreover, we can cut down the system cost by simplifying circuits of the optical light sources. Our results show that the proposed system operates well according to the purpose mentioned above.

Seismic fragility evaluation of the base-isolated nuclear power plant piping system using the failure criterion based on stress-strain

  • In the design criterion for the nuclear power plant piping system, the limit state of the piping against an earthquake is assumed to be plastic collapse. The failure of a common piping system, however, means the leakage caused by the cracks. Therefore, for the seismic fragility analysis of a nuclear power plant, a method capable of quantitatively expressing the failure of an actual piping system is required. In this study, it was conducted to propose a quantitative failure criterion for piping system, which is required for the seismic fragility analysis of nuclear power plants against critical accidents. The in-plane cyclic loading test was conducted to propose a quantitative failure criterion for steel pipe elbows in the nuclear power plant piping system. Nonlinear analysis was conducted using a finite element model, and the results were compared with the test results to verify the effectiveness of the finite element model. The collapse load point derived from the experiment and analysis results and the damage index based on the stress-strain relationship were defined as failure criteria, and seismic fragility analysis was conducted for the piping system of the BNL (Brookhaven National Laboratory) - NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) benchmark model.
