  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of robot-assisted hand rehabilitation(Amadeo(R)) on hand motor function in chronic stroke patients. This study used a single-subject experimental design with multiple baselines across individuals. Three chronic stroke survivors with mild to sever motor impairment took part in study. Each participants had 2 weeks interval of starting intervention. Participants received robot-assisted therapy(45min/session. 3session/wk for 6wks). Finger active range of motion(AROM) was assessed by Range of Assessment program in Amadeo(R), and test-retest reliability was verified using Pearson correlation analysis. To investigate effect of Amadeo(R), finger AROM was measured immediately after each sessions and Fugl-Meyer Assessment of Upper extremity, Motor Activity Log, Nine hole peg board test and Jebsen-Taylor hand motor function test were assessed at pre-post intervention. Results were analyzed by visual analysis and comparison of pre-post tests. The test-retest reliability of Range of Assessment was good(r=.99). After robot-assisted therapy, finger AROM of participant 1, 2, and 3 was respectively improved by 18%, 3.6%, and 6% each. Hand motor function of participant 1, 3 was improved on all four tests, but not effect in participant 2. Robot-assisted hand rehabilitation could improve finger AROM and effect on hand motor function in chronic stroke patients.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the analysis of the association between upper extremity function and the Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT) for chronic hemiparetic stroke patients and investigate the evidence of the WMFT as a clinical tool of upper extremity function in individuals with chronic hemiparetic stroke. Methods: This study applied an observational, cross-sectional design in outpatients at three local rehabilitation units in Seoul. Forty-nine individuals who had a diagnosis of first stroke participated in this study. All participants were analyzed for four clinical measures, including the Box and Block Test (BBT), the WMFT, grip strength, and the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM). Results: Upon analysis, a significant relationship was found between the WMFT scores and BBT scores as well as the grip strength. The WMFT score was statistically and positively associated with the COPM satisfaction score; however, it was not related to the COPM performance score. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the WMFT is positively related to simple tasks, such as hand muscle strength and manual dexterity. However, the WMFT does not have a relationship with complex tasks, which are measured by COPM performance abilities.

  • In case of unit testing, White-box test can be used to closely check source code and to analyze logic and statement errors. On the other hand, in case of function testing of system level, Black-box test can be mainly used to compare actual and expected results by inputting test data because the scale of function is large. This Black-Box test in system testing level has problem in tracing errors in source code when we find errors. Moreover applying White-box test is not easy for system testing level because the levels of test target are different. Therefore this paper suggests the vertical test method of a practical and integrated system level which can checks up to source code level using White-box test style although it aims to test the highly abstract level like a system function. In addition, the experiment explains how to apply the vertical test by displaying an example which traces from UML specification model to the source code and also shows efficiency of error trace.

  • When we design the control system used Programmable Logic Controller(PLC), we program the main algorithm by Ladder Diagram(LD) in many standard language. But if we use an Sequential Function Chart(SFC), we is easy to know the sequential flow of control, to maintenance the controller and to describe a program. Even though a SFC have many merits, A SFC have some problems like a condition and a function of self test. Therefore this thesis show an efficient function of self test and we confirmed its feasibility through actual example.

  • Liver function test is one of the most common tests for diagnosis and follow-up of patients and for heal th screening. Automatic interpretation and suggestions on the diagnostic possibilities contribute to shorten the interpretation time of the test results and help to provide qualified health care. Fuzzy logic has been recently introduced and being spread for these purposes. The present study aims at model Ins the foray rule-based laboratory diagnosis system. The fuzzy rule-based laboratory diagnosis system was applied to the diagnosis regarding liver function test. The system was evaluated by comparing with the stepwise multivariate discriminant function analysis, which showed similar results, and the overall accuracy of the fuzzy diagnosis system was about 80%.

  • This paper considers one-sample and two-sample test for the logistic function by means of Kolmororov-Smirnov type statistics. The standard tables used for the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test are valid only when the function is completely specified; but they are not valid if the parameters of function are estimated from the sample. This note presents modified tables for the Kolmogorov-Sminov type staistic. These tables can be used to test the hypothesis that a sample comes from a logistic function when shape parameter $(\alpha)$ and location parameter $(\beta)$ must be estimated from the sample by the method of maximum likelihood. Monte Carlo method is employed to calculate the criticla values of the test. The tables of the critical values are provided.

  • Liver is an oragan which has various functions. For this functions in liver disease change variously, many methods of examination of them are invented. Each liver disease impairs these functions diversly rather than uniformly, thus it is possible to differentiate each disease by using various methods of testing it. Liver has high reproductive capacity and despite partial impairment of its function localized disease may not show any abnormality in liver function test due to compensation of remaining intact tissue of the liver. Thus the result of liver function test should be interpreted under adequate clinical investigation with other test, not depending on the liver function test only. This thesis deals with the composition, distribution in living body and clinical significance of liberating enzyme, GOT, GPT, and LDH which are included in serum enzyme that show abnormality in liver disease.

  • In this paper we propose a robust Wald-type test which is based on an efficient Mallows-type one-step GM-estimator. The proposed estimator based on the weight function of Song, Park and Nam (1996) has a bounded influence function and a high breakdown point. Under some regularity conditions, we compute the finite-sample breakdown point, and drive asymptotic normality of the proposed estimator. The level and power breakdown points, influence function and asymptotic distribution of the proposed test statistic are main points of this paper. To compare the performance of the proposed test with other tests, we perform some Monte Carlo simulations.

  • The study about Accelerated Life Test and analysis of failed data is increased in order to predict and evaluate reliability of products, according as the development cycle of products is reduced. Therefore, the decision of optimal distribution function about failed data for accurate analysis of failed data and test condition for Accelerated Life Test is very important. This paper compares Anderson-Darling method with Likelihood Function method for the decision of optimal distribution function about failed data. Anderson-Darling considers only failed data and Likelihood Function considers both failed data and life-stress relationship in decision of distribution function. In the results of comparison about two methods, we found that the distribution function chosen by each method is different and the life time predicted by each decided distribution function is different.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of simultaneous dual-task training to assess executive function in older adults. Methods : We searched the PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane, Web of Science, and RISS databases of publicated studies in the past decade. Seven studies were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Qualitative assessment and meta-analysis were performed for the seven studies. Results : A randomized controlled trial design was used in the selected studies, and PEDro Scores above seven were obtained. The Trial Making Test (TMT) evaluated the effects of dual-task training on executive function in four studies. The Color Trail Test (CTT) was used in two studies, and Stroop test was used in three studies. The effect size for total executive function was 0.38, which was small. The effect sizes for TMT and CTT were 0.37. Stroop Test was 0.34, demonstrating that their effect sizes were also small. Only significant effects in total executive function, TMT, and CTT showed significant effects (all p<0.05). Conclusion : This study confirmed that dual-task training was effective in improving executive function in older adults. To improve the effectiveness of dual-task training, the difficulty of the dual-task training should be considered. It is also necessary to implement assessments that can evaluate performance under dual-task conditions as well as conventional test tools for executive function. In the future, dual-task training could be used as an appropriate intervention for executive function in older adults to delay the onset of dementia.
